the worst part about growing up in a functional family is becoming adults and realizing your parents are just people and not super heroes. the people who raised you and guided you and kept you safe have opinions and share views with the people who want your friends dead or erased. they still love you and may not feel that way personally, but you can't talk about it because then it becomes a personal attack against them and they shut down or yell.

😷 just venting abt dumb health stuff, pay no mind

#i dont wanna go back to the doctors for my throat bc it was just test after test and absolutely no answer last time #i am/was in a lot of physical pain and it makes talking/eating/drinking and even breathing to some degree VERY uncomfortable #but after all that testing and 'investigating' a few years ago they just said it was probably in my head.#which is fair. my brain isnt good at functioning etc. but that doesnt actually help me when i am in pain #there is nothing VISIBLY wrong with my throat so they just threw it all under my ongoing mental health label i think #very clearly is an actual issue tho. a physical one. no matter the cause. bc its exacerbated by hayfever/colds/flu/recycled air/vomiting etc #i lost my voice for three months a few years back. that may have been a lot to do with my mental health. but the pain made it harder to talk #so i stopped trying to talk at one point and it all spiralled #i am very tired.

and i have to make sure that i'm starting to get ready for work at 10am so i can leave by noon so i can get to work by 2pm to work a 3 hour shift for less than $500 a paycheck.

The Tumblr app just accused me of having a crush on one of those lovely gimmick sideblogs, and I can't help but feel a little anxious.

How did it know that I envision you: an amorphous human across from me at the table in the soda shop, speaking your kernels of fandom related humor with a hushed smile. I sip my cola slowly as not to spray when I snicker, and I grow ever concerned that my face is glowing a deeper shade of pink at every little joke you make. I make the choice not to hide it, you deserve to know how funny you are.

I suppose it must be that standard habit-tracking modern apps are expected to perform.

I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

I will continue to add to this playlist, and will note in comic updates when one of these songs is applicable!
