SDFGHJKLJHGFDFGHJKKJH I love you I love you I love you and you ALSO have a nice day!!! <333
HOOOOOOOO BOY I'M GONNA DUMP A L O T OF STUFF :D I'M GONNA GET LENGTHY BUT HHHHHHHH PLEASE BARE WITH ME
DISCLAIMER: Lackadaisy belongs to @lackadaisycats and it is a beautiful animation and web comic, I HIGHLY recommend.
Below The Surface is my 2023 Lackadaisy fic. It will be linked below <3
Lacrimosa Ambrose - The Siren:
FIRST IDEAS:
At first, I wanted to make a villain for Lackadaisy. I was doing this purely for the sake of my Murder Mystery fic Below the Surface (posted here and currently being worked on here!) and I wanted someone who was a REALLY big threat. And so, I created a new mafia-like group: The Rose Brigade. But who would be the leader? I wanted a powerful---and also a plus sized woman in official art I'm making!---who is no-nonsense and irredeemable.
I wanted to originally make her a Bombay cat, but as I looked through more cat options, I decided to settle on a Chartreux cat! They're so pretty!!! Below is an image I wanted to reference, yet alter at the same time.
Tumblr media
Her voice claim is very much Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil. She has that badass, sultry tone to her that makes me fold over for this queen that can very much kill me.
She was originally going to be redeemed, but I decided "hell no she deserves a whole villain arc that DOESN'T give her a chance to turn good" and I am very much happy with that outcome.
I didn't know WHAT she would be job-wise? I originally wanted to make her an actor, though when I designed and wrote for Silas Tueuse (another Lacka-OC whom I love dearly), I wanted to mix things up, and wanted diversity. So Miss Jazz-Singing-Sensation was born! Her color palette and drawing her dress KILLED ME.
Choosing her name wise, I wanted to allude to Tracy's work, and allude to a villain. So when I was scrolling through the website, I noticed the Lacrimosa poem, and BOOM. Her name was chosen. Last name means 'immortal' in Greek, plus it's a play on the dish ambrosia. :)
FACTS/HEADCANONS:
She owns a jazz lounge, and is a famous jazz singer! The name is TBD, but she gets a LOT of traction there.
While she was from Boston, Massachusetts, she is Latin! She often refers to people as mei deliciae (translated to my darling), and one of her favorite foods is ceviche! It consists of either shrimp or fish, as well as lime, lemon, onion, chili pepper, and cilantro! From my understanding of it, you can dip chips into it and eat it like that. Sometimes you can even avocado in it, if that's your fancy! Below is a photo example.
Tumblr media
She is a horrible driver. Horrible. Picture Cruella De Vil but drunk. Sooo yeah, 100x worse.
She has a daughter, but she's distant from her, and she rarely---if never---checks in on her.
She is incredibly narcissistic, but does NOT have Narcissistic Personality Disorder: she does have empathy, though it's hard to tell if she's being genuine or not.
Prefers suits over dresses, but will wear dresses for performances to keep up her professional image. For casual meetings, she wears a dark indigo and dark blue suit with a fedora and a rose pin on her jacket lapel. The outfit accentuates her curves nicely, and I will draw her more in a suit in the future <3
She has a Colt M1911 Revolver that her husband gifted her before he passed. She uses it constantly.
ROLE/PURPOSE/OTHER STUFF!:
She's the main antagonist, and she is the leader of the Rose Brigade. She tries to hide behind a sweet, motherly facade, but she is emotionally and physically abusive to certain people. She is also a bit overconfident in certain abilities.
She had ties with Atlas May, though so far I have yet to confirm or deny if she killed him. So with her relation to Atlas, she slithered her way into trying to manipulate Mordecai, seemingly present as a mother figure towards him while in St. Louis. Ivy gushes over Lacrimosa's singing skills and performances, so her meeting her in person, she's just all giggly. Nonetheless, Lacrimosa is a softie for praise, and can't help but feel slightly more appreciated.
Lacrimosa might be manipulative and a full blown awful person, but she has been taught common courtesy. She knows to be respectful, she believes everyone is equal, and will not discriminate against those who are in the LGBTQ community. However, this does NOT excuse her awful behavior. She is MEANT to be an awful person.
She will ALSO absolutely break anyone who tries to tamper with her. She CAN and WILL call you out on your bullshit.
Her song (if it were 2023) would be Medusa by Kaia Jette!
HHHHHH THIS WAS SO MUCH???? AND THAT'S NOT EVEN IT????? FGHJKHGFDXFGHJ I might add on later

how do you make up your fic titles
Most of them are based off of songs or phrases I like, a singular concept within the story, or very obscure words I go out of my way to find.
Songs:
Lacrimosa, meaning weeping, or tearful, by Mozart.
The Lion's Roar, about Lynora Lannister's lies, by First Aid Kit.
Million Dollar Man, you're screwed up and brilliant, look like a million dollar man, so why is my heart broke?, by Lana Del Rey
See also: And The Snakes Start To Sing, Maneater, Thriller, and Heart of Glass
Phrases:
A King's Ransom, used literally, figuratively meaning a fortune.
Red Flag, a warning of danger.
Concept:
Pine, the twisted yearning between Coraline & Jasper & Edward. Also, pine trees?
A Funeral March in Eight, based off of the idea of movements within a funeral procession – the concept began with knowing of Hannah & Althea's mother's death in Half-Blood Prince and wanting to incorporate it in a meaningful way, and continues with adding Cedric and a slew of others to the list to create the Eight.
Rage & Retribution, indicative of Katya & Vasilisa's respective journies, Katya coming to terms with her rage, and Vasilisa craving retribution against the Darkling.
Of Saints & Sorrows – Sigrid being the Saint, and Ida's story being the sorrow.
Words:
Aphelion, the point in the orbit of a planet, asteroid, or comet at which it is furthest from the sun. About Salazar drifting from Catalonia, and Catalonia being pulled from Godric.
Vespertine, relating to, occurring, or active in the evening. About Diana's darker nature.
Limerence, a state of mind which results from romantic or non-romantic feelings for another person and typically includes obsessive thoughts and fantasies and a desire to form or maintain a relationship with the object of love and have one's feelings reciprocated. About Romulus and Apolline's relationship.
I also find that using words in Latin makes a good title. Example:
Gloria Regali, the royal glory.
Indomitum, meaning unrestrained, fierce, wild.
Or sometimes, you can just borrow from a film, like I did with Suspiria

I was listening to a podcast by Lacrimosa fans the other day and they were talking about what countries they do or don't play live in. Turns out that despite being a band that started in Germany, relocated to Switzerland and includes a Finnish member in the duo, they don't tour around Europe much, not even around Germany or Switzerland itself.
Like, they do it, but when they do it, again, even in Germany, it's always in small shithole venues because they're actually not too popular in Europe.
And then they started to talk about their reception in Latin América. They said that the first country here that they played at was México in 1998, that it was in Circo Volador, a venue that can hold up to 4000 people, and, the story people tell is that after the show was over and the band went backstage, Tilo burst out in tears as soon as they closed the door at the grown age of 26, because up to then he was used to playing in shitty small venues with barely any audience and with a bland ass European audience at that, that barely dances a little to what they play, but in México the people were screaming and crying with every song, dancing and jumping to every single note, and the crowd filled that pretty big venue.
Not only that, but most of Lacrimosa's lyrics are strictly in German, and the last thing Tilo expected was for their Mexican audience to sing along to EVERY SINGLE SONG, since not even audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland do it much.
It seems that's what started Lacrimosa's intense and very well reciprocated love affair with their Latine audience, including Brazil. They've played live like, 10 times more in México alone than in their native countries, it's been over 60 times in México. They've played 9 times in Chile so far and we're a tiny country! Their first concert here was in like 2009 or 2010.
I remember when I was reading an interview they were doing for their 30th anniversary tour when they were about to play here in Santiago and in it Tilo wouldn't stop praising their Latine audiences and saying how much he adores playing live for Chileans because we bring great energy and passion. Here they play theaters instead of small bars and we crowd them up like hell. Seriously, it was hell.
I love him so much.
(They're relatively big in Russia, China and Japan too!)

I’m so excited you write for the Witcher now!!! For your event I want Geralt x reader, with musical (but not a song fic) xxxx
Lacrimosa
Tumblr media
Geralt x Reader - 528 Words - More Freaky Fics
Notes: I was inspired by Mozart’s Lacrimosa, and used that to create the creature which is part Banshee and part La Llorona. I haven’t played any of the games in a while so I don’t remember if anything like this is cannon so I didn’t have them idenitify the creature.
Warnings: Implications of sexual situations, descriptions of gore.
- - -
Lacrimosa, noun: part of the Dies Irae sequence in Mozart’s Requiem Mass. The word itself is Latin for "weeping/tearful,” but is also used to refer to Our Lady of Sorrows.
“Is it a song, or a scream?”
You’d been asking the villagers for that answer for days now. At first you, and your Witcher companion, had written them off as story tellers or fame seekers. That was before the bodies started piling up. Their population had dwindled almost in half since your last pass through only a month ago.
Some reported screaming carried along the wind, someone’s last desperate cry for help. Others claimed a funeral mass played across the village, its haunting notes hypnotizing the saddest people into leaving the safety of their beds.
The newly made widow in front of you could only shake her head.
“I donno, the only hollerin’ I heard was from the baby.”
“Just lock your doors and windows tonight,” you said sternly, “and whatever you hear don’t leave your room.”
The widow didn’t have much more to say, and her grieving family stepped in to pull her away and latch the door as she began to cry.
“We’ll stay tonight, if we hear anything we’ll kill it.”
That began the waiting, and for you the writing. You’d started compiling records of where you’d gone, who you’d helped. It offered a more truthful account of the Witcher’s life than Jaskier’s songs.
It was already late when you chose to join Geralt in bed. His arms wrapped around you instantly pulling you closer. You laughed breathily as he kissed along your neck.
“We’re meant to be watching for the creature,” you said playfully swatting his hands as the started to roam your body.
“We’re meant to be staying awake...” he said lowly, his hands finally coming to grip your hips. He pressed against you, knowing the sheer broadness of his body made you dizzy. You swore as he slipped a hand down from your hip and under your trousers.
The moment was interrupted by a gust of wind that forced open the room’s window despite the latch. The shutter knocked against the wall with a bang, and the sound of weeping filled the air.
In a flash you disentangle yourself from your lover, his heat replaced with an icy sting of fear as the weeping turns into singing.
Lilting notes scrape across the air in an absurd requiem that pulls your heartstrings with each sound. Your feet move without direction, the song drawing you out.
The sound can be traced to the edge of the village, and then down into a swamp. At some point the noise makes your head throbbing and you aren’t sure if there’s singing or screaming and you understand why the villagers had been so confused.
Around the swamp lay a mangled pool of body parts and fluids. Severed tongues now pale lay among sinew and bone that glistened under the moonlight. It smelled of rot, like the gutter outside a butcher’s shop. Amid it all was a woman, or something that once looked like a woman. Her arms outstretched in prayer, a dingy robe fluttering about her legs. A line of tears left a clear trail down her blood stained face. Her hands were claws, and even with your sword drawn and Geralt beside you, you were afraid.

I wanna analyse something that I saw not so long ago. And that is ATEEZ performance on MAMA 2020.
🚨DISCLAIMER🚨
I'm doing this in order to understand the meaning of the performance and why some of the choices were made.
ALSO there will be topics about death and religion.
If you think you'll get offended or sensitive in any way please skip this post.
🚨END OF THE DISCLAIMER 🚨
And now it's time to do some analysis.
So the performance starts with Lacrimosa. After members reach the center of the stage Lacrimosa goes through modulation and into ATEEZ song called " Inception". Later on this song changes to "Answer ".
The moment when the performance looses me is when guys start to sing "Inception" chorus.
If you are not familiar with classical music or simply were sleeping during music lessons in school "The Requiem in D minor" is an unfinished composition of mass by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Requiem consists out of 7 parts of mass. Dies irae (eng."The Day of Wrath") is a 3rd sequence. Lacrimosa is a movement of first 8 bars that are part of this sequence.
The word Requiem from Latin means " The mass of the dead" or " funeral mass". Lacrimosa from the same language means " weeping", "tearful".
Lacrimosa talks about the Last Judgment day where souls would be gathered before the throne of God, where the saved will be delivered and the unsaved cast into eternal flames.
This movement and the whole piece is about funeral, grieving, crying and saying goodbye to the one who passed away. Leading that person to its last journey and to the final rest place.
"Inception" is a dreamy, romantic song about falling in love with somebody and wanting for that person in your life even though that person only appears in your dreams.
"Answer" is a song about the feeling of being untouchable, unstoppable, powerful group of people who do everything to maximum.
With all this info in mind I only have this one question: how ATEEZ songs are related to the piece about death and Last Judgment?
After I watched the performance I felt quiet angry because of the mix of these pieces/ songs.
How can you mix music that is absolutely different from one another?
How can you mix without knowing meaning behind the piece and songs that you choose to mix?
Somehow it gives me the impression that people who worked behind this do not really know how to do research.
I wouldn't be surprised if the reasoning behind the choice of Lacrimosa in ATEEZ performance is because " it gives a feeling of massiveness and mysteriousness ". Such explanation, in my opinion, is not good enough, because it is not based on facts just on a feeling.
Plus good research and knowledge of the facts can give a lot of data to work with to make an outstanding and entertaining performance from choreography to make up, clothes, staging etc.
I did check the comment section under the video and in other social platforms to find an idea of what they wanted to show. Apparently, it is related to some kind of kingdom, because ATEEZ where the part of 3 boy group performance. They represented different kingdoms with different vibes and meanings.
Currently I cannot find that comment, but it was something around that. If this info is wrong please tell me and let me know the real idea of this whole thing.
BUT if we would ONLY base they performances by the music they chose, info that I gave about each piece / song and what they showed I can tell you that there was no meaning behind it (If you wanna check it out I'll put the link of their performance below 😉)
The only thing that they "delivered" were their good looks, entertaining choreography and the personas of powerful, unstoppable young men. That's it basically.
If you don't believe me you can check the same comment section under their video and what fans are discussing there the most.
If you made it till here congrats you read the longest ever post written by me 😅
I'm open to different opinions and interpretations. I'm a fan of the ATEEZ myself and I'm interest in their work so NO HATE DEPARTMENT over here ✌
