The one getting thrown into the sea serpent's hungry mouth is your elf girl. No, no wait! A dying breath, blood filled with hatred, and a unicorn horn. That's the dark magic you want. Just... just let her go.

Hey! I just wanted to say I’ve been following you forEVER now, and that your art has been inspiring me since i was a teenager. I was wondering if you could share a little about your rendering process? How did you improve it over the years, what did you learn you wish u knew sooner, stuff like that?
(Thanks anyway, and definitely getting myself ur new comic)
Hi! oh wow thank you so much for the kind words!
My rendering process hmmmm.... I will try to sum up the thoughts that come to my mind as I'm writing this, though I might be missing some proper vocabulary
The first thing that surfaced in my brain is exposition within a picture. This is what the picture focuses on - things in the light, or things in the shadow, and how much details each of these two receive rendering wise.
It's basically like taking a photo with a phone - if you click on a bright thing (say, a window), the phone will automatically adjust the exposition and all the other bright things will be visible(lotta detail), but the shadows will become turbo dark (no details). Alternatively, if you click on a dark shadow, all the dark things will become visible (details) but the hypothetical window will become blown out and turbo white (no details). You can basically have one or the other but never both. (or I guess you can who am I to tell anyone how to make art yanno no rules up in this house)
Tumblr media
anyway, so for example, this pic^ focuses on the things in the dark, meaning everything in direct light receives no details.
Tumblr media
and this pic^ focuses on the light and so all the cast shadows are pitch black.
One other thing that I learned a longass time ago was that edges(and shapes) are arguably the most important part of an object within a picture. Clean edges immediately call for focus, while softer or vague edges allow things to fade in the background and communicate the idea of a thing rather than showing you the thing itself. On a related note note, clean edges also make work in progress appear about 25% more finished.
I guess this all has to do with contrast and contrast can be created in many ways - edges (soft/sharp), colours (eg. red fish in a blue sea), spacing (objects being grouped vs. a single object), the amount of detail per object etc etc etc. and all of these can be controlled to solve specific issues within a picture.
In short, if a thing is important aka the focal point, make it stand out - sharp edges, details, specific colours and a lighting situation that make it pop. And if a thing isn't too important leave it vague, communicate the idea of it rather than focusing on drawing it.
On the note of things being sharp, a thing that I always swore by is, if there are eyes in the picture those eyes better be d-o-n-e. Pristine. People will look at the eyes, eyes communicate 90% of emotion, the eyes are the it girl of the picture forever and always, nobody will look at the wonky foot, they will look at the eyes and judge the quality of the picture. If the eyes are shit the picture is shit. (I'm exaggerating but fr. eyes are a big deal.). They don't have to be turbo rendered or physically mad sharp but they need to be done. Whatever that means, take what you will from my word soup.
One thing that I've become a big fan of over the years is the concept of wear and tear. This has to do with texturing things in pictures and I looooooooooooooooove thinking about ways items are used in order to create bumps and scratches that can be featured.
Tumblr media
It always makes things look like they belong to someone?? It makes them real? Like the tip of that bone. that bone has been places. That belt has seen use. That bag carried things. Like yanno?? I looove things that chip and have nicks. Give me wood and I'll put a dent in it I swear.
And I thing the latest thing that I'm trying to incorporate within my art, though I haven't had much time or opportunity to do it in personal art because of work, is colour variation within each element.
Tumblr media
Like his face. His skin is obviously "beige" but you will see red, and blue and yellow and green in there too. Stuff like that yanno? I'm quite interested in taking this further in my future paintings. I'm still learning how to push what, where and how but ayyy issa journey I'll happily embark on.
And of course apart from all that it's the usual jazz, working on anatomy composition perspective doing it a lot over and over again babababababa and so on and so forth.
I haven't had much opportunity to paint since I started working on the comic last year but it had it own set of challenges for me. Linework is a completely different kind of rodeo and I've improved in different departments a lot and I'd be happy to bring those things into my paintings when I have the chance. I feel like I'm at a point where I know a lot more than what I've had the opportunity to put on paper, it feels exciting!
I hope at least some of my ramblings were of interest to you!! Again, that you for the nice message and have a nice day :)

pleeease keep talking about toys...i think this is interesting and smth i've never thought too hard about but it makes sense and i like to hear your opinions on modern toys
(ask pertaining to this post)
holy shit okay !! i would love to ramble on so, i shall!
okay im no expert on toy sales history, this is all just observation from my life experiences and i'll try to keep each part i want to go over relatively short!
that being said lets start with a small one that i've personally noticed as a canadian: Kinder egg toys! i remember when they used to come with like 4-8+ pieces, and you needed the included step by step manual to assemble them. they would often come with sticker sheets to decorate them with, and they would often be articulated or be set on wheels or have some sort of fun or movement or general functionality to them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
dont those look awesome? wrapped in 2 kinds of chocolate, and for only like 2$! i remember they would come in all shapes and sizes, all sorts of animals and vehicles and sometimes freaky little abominations, as you can see above, and sometimes even puzzles! they were such a special treat as a kid.
but kinder eggs now? come with a maximum of like 3 pieces that just snap together (usually the front and back of the toy, and then the platform they stand on). and thats all they mostly are now, stiff toys that stand on platforms wahhooooo yippeee
idk just look at the quality difference from the old ones above compared to some of the new ones:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
like..... these are..... nothing! literally nothing. just a figure snapped to a pole/platform and thats it! not very interesting for more than 3 minutes max.
now i know what you're thinking: "not ALL of the old kinder toys had to have been bangers" and you'd be right, some were lame as hell, but even the lame ones from before look more intricate than the ones we have now, like can you see what i mean, just detail-wise?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it just feels so cheap and shitty, i could go on and on but more is explained later. point is, it sucks.
anyway that's a very small example and we can move onto bigger and better ones, and maybe even one that everyone else might have noticed by now; McDonald's toys! remember when they were actually toys?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and not just stiff figurines?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(the minions franchise was like CRACK for companies who love making profit off of nothing but stiff rounded plastic. probably the cheapest form of "toy" i can think of)
and yeah, again, its not like there werent figurines back in the day too, there's ALWAYS been lame as hell mcdonalds toys, but looking among many modern mcdonalds toys, you dont see anything as cool as the old ones. literally every major modern movie/franchise right now is nothing but figurines. the most recent actually interactive mcd's toy ive seen is when they collabed with hasbro games
Tumblr media
again, companies just seem to be pumping out quantities over quality.
but why?
well, for starters toys are becoming cheaper (both in price and quality) because prices have sky rocketed and stores are forced to only stock cheaper things, therefore the cheap things sell the most, and then more of them get made, and statistics get fucked, etc etc the cycle repeats.
Tumblr media
but toy companies know one thing, and that's that things that are "cuter" always sell more. "cuter" being used with vitriol because their idea of 'cute' is 'more glitter and sparkles and rainbow colours and obnoxiousness' oh, and dont forget the huge soulless bug eyes on all of them!
Tumblr media
i know that people love these things, but theyre so..... uncanny. their stare is piercing, their stance is so stiff, i always felt bad actually playing with the only one of these i had growing up, and not just because it freaked me out, it just genuinely didnt feel good to play with.
and i knoowwwww people are obsessed with these things, but come on, you have to admit theyre SO unoriginal! theyre just cookie cutter shapes!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these things are horrifying and, at best, belong on a shelf.
these "beany boos" are so woobified and almost feel like a flanderized version of a stuffed animal, and they've completely taken over "beanie babies", which were wonderful soft little things that actually had movement and weren't stiff to cuddle! I also feel like they're almost trying to copy what webkinz was, in a way, as some of those were stiff too (but still loveable and not burdened with an uncanny, vacant stare)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
anyway this is getting insanely long and im sorry but i feel like im going insane every time i see new toys nowadays. the like.... "cuteification" of everything is driving me insane, and the fact that they are simply just lower quality than what we used to get, because of prices rising and causing easy-to-make things to become more and more popular.
examples to further prove these points:
Tumblr media
extreme woobifying or "cuteification" by almost completely removing all horse anatomy in favour of thin limbs, heavy makeup eyes that are now on the front of her face, and modern influencer eyebrows. on a horse.
and the extreme-simplifying of toys can be seen quite well on those mini polly pocket sets!! see this one here?
Tumblr media
almost allllll of those little plastic things could be rotated or rearranged or moved or fucked with in some manner, it was awesome. i loved these miniature houses they always came with so much shit. wanna guess what the newer ones look like?
Tumblr media
you guessed it, like shit!!
man even beyblades used to come with like, all sorts of different pieces both metal and plastic alike, and you had to assemble them yourself and you could interchange pieces to obtain a different weight which would affect your attacks against other beyblades, etc etc:
Tumblr media
and looking at them now? they seem to be mostly made of- yep, you guessed it, hard cheap plastic.
Tumblr media
anyway holy shit i literally reached the 30 image limit on a single post tumblr really said thats ENOUGH !! i cant believe i just spent that long talking about the worlds most pointless thing but at any rate i hope you enjoyed it and i hope you see my vision. because like i said im not insanely knowledgeable on any of this in particular, but its hard not to notice the decline in quality of all of todays modern toys.

RWBY V9 Episode 1 first impressions. Some spoilers. Also RWDE.
The first scene, both shot-wise and sound-wise was super well directed. The first person view into Ruby's headspace was very creative, and also an elegantly concise but unique recap of the last finale. Disregarding the nonsense surrounding the actual events (Yang getting KO'd instantly, no one being able to catch her and all that), it was an excellently directed scene.
Which makes it a pity that the scene right after felt really plodding and tonally dissonant. Having the already painful low framerate and cartoony jokes is already bad, but after a scene like that is... not how you do it.
The Monochrome scene was well-animated and adorable though. Amazing how much chemistry RWBY can get from its characters when it's not actively trying to signpost it to your face.
Speaking of signposting, the Bumbleby hug was good. Blake's tender voice calling Yang's name, and just them hugging on the beach is a really romantic image. and I'm a sucker for that kind of thing.
It kind of irks me more because my enjoyment of this ship is actively sabotaged by this show's own refusal to engage with it unless it's a weird combination of too-loud subtext and the fact it relishes in its own plausible deniability. I don't know what to say if there isn't a kiss or proper declaration of love by the end of this.
OK Goodnight doesn't miss, and they didn't for this OP song, Inside, either. I personally was super excited Casey was brought on in full force and her band's involvement was the singular thing that excited me about Volume 9. I have this opening on loop for hours now.
I loved how the Jabberwocky monster thing was animated, but part of me felt the design fell a bit short compared to how creatively it moved. I think if it went through another design pass or two to really bring out its more unsettling qualities it'd land even better.
But it was that thought that stirred up an iffy thought I had as I watched all the colourful characters and setting that was showcased in the opening and trailers. I know the whole point was to show a visual contrast by having everything be bright and whimsical but...
Part of me just kept thinking throughout this episode, and I suspect will keep me thinking throughout this Volume... why couldn't have all the Ever After creatures have been sentient talking Grimm instead?
Like, we don't know the canon explanation for the Ever After yet, but assuming that anything just goes here... I would have been really interested in the idea that this was a parallel world where benevolent Grimm exist and formed their own chaotic but intelligent societies. It could be an interesting exploration into the nature of Grimm, which by extension includes Salem's nature and how the heroes could not only defeat her dark nature, but perhaps understand and reason with it as well.
I just keep looking at the visual direction they decided to go with this world and can't help but think:
"Damn, Grimm mice would be cool, and a lot more visually distinct and marketable/merchandisable to RWBY fans too. Imagine Ruby making friends with a cute little Grimm? Something she's been trained to kill since forever? How weird but interesting would that be?"
"Damn, this glitchy monster thing would be way cooler as a Grimm, wouldn't it? Imagine it writhing like that and talking, but with the trademark glowing eye trails and miasmic black smoke trailing from its limbs."
"Damn, that Wonderland smoking caterpillar dude in the opening would have looked cool as a Grimm, maybe along the vibes of Koh the Face Stealer from Avatar?"
"Damn, the Cheshire cat as a teleporting Grimm feline would be cool. Its design might be a lot less polarising too since a lot of people think it hurts to look at. Some Grimm like Geists are already pretty formless to begin with."
And at the root of all these what-ifs, it just all comes back to the same question that I think sums up a lot of RWBY's problems:
"Damn, this show would be cooler in all these little ways if it just played into the ideas that made it cool to begin with."

hii!! i was wondering if I could ask what is your usual colouring process? how much time one fully coloured piece and doodle take! I adore your ocs so much they inspire me to draw more myself:3 they feel so alive!
hi anon! thank you vey much, i'm very happy to hear that you feel inspired!
i wrote up a little something for your questions under the cut:
so, first of all, the way i color things ranges from drawing to drawing, especially if i feel like playing around in the process. sometimes i decide to try something out (palette, filter, technique, brush etc) and if i really like how it looks i may recolor the entire drawing lol. point is, there's a lot of sidetracks to my process (especially now, since i'm trying to get used to a different art program than the one i used previously) but the very basics of it are as follows:
1. i sketch and line whatever it is that i want to draw (this might take a while depending on whether i have a solid idea right away or not; in the latter case i might do some thumbnails first to figure out how i want the drawing to look. you can't really see here, but when i line things i usually draw on the same layer as the sketch, and after i'm done i adjust the brightness/contrast settings of the layer to get rid of the sketch underneath. it might seem like i'm just making my life harder this way, especially since this method only works if you sketch with a lighter color (or make it lighter in settings before starting lineart) and your lineart is drawn with a solid opaque brush (which is how i always draw), but it helps me to not get caught up on trying to make the lineart precisely follow the sketch. it also makes changing things on the go much easier, since i only have to erase on one layer.
Tumblr media
2. after i'm done lining, i underpaint with a solid color (usually the skin color, but sometimes something random), then block the alpha channel and color over it with flats;
Tumblr media
3. i don't color everything at once, instead going piece by piece, which helps to keep the drawing balanced color and contrast wise. i pick a desired area with magic wand and then go about rendering it properly (which usually involves adding some value variance with an airbrush and then laying down shadows/highlights/etc). you can't see this here either, because for some reason i forgot to do it this once, but i also usually lower the opacity of the lineart layer halfway when i color. it helps me concentrate on colors and how they look together better;
Tumblr media
4. when i'm satisfied with color, i recolor the lineart to be whatever color i think fits the piece better and change lineart layer settings to either multiply, color burn, or linear burn. after that i just play around with filters, add decorative details, and clean everything up. it's also worth noting that sometimes i starts trying out filters/effects directly while coloring because i want to explore some alternative colors or palettes; i also have a tendency to pick very pale & unsaturated colors so messing around with HSB (hue/saturation/brightness) & depth/contrast settings while coloring helps a lot.
Tumblr media
5. cropping it & there you go!
Tumblr media
this one took me 1,2 hours. depending on how complex the drawing is it might take me much longer (especially if im working on a commission) so i'd say my average time drawing is somewhere between 2-6 hours. if a drawing takes longer than that i break it apart into several days of work. don't draw for too long! it's bad for your health.
as for sketches, as i mentioned previously, it all depends on whether i know what i want to draw or not, and if i do, i usually just go straight at it:
Tumblr media
this one took me 20 minutes. on average, a doodle can take anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes, more if i want to make it look fancy, but at that point it enters the vast limbo between sketch and finished piece.
Tumblr media
that's it! sorry the gif quality is really bad, it's the best i could do. here's a video of the same stuff, hopefully in somewhat better resolution

what kind of bedding do u think r and s would have. both individually and as a couple. or even take it a step further and tell us what their bedrooms as a whole would look like xxx this is my fav hobby
there has been so much bedding talk floating around the dash of late good god. i have to admit all the different. bedding terminologies confuse me but. in terms of the general characteristics of their bedding r has very ratty low thread-count sheets and his duvet is always pilly and probably. a navy or a grey or a white or a sad green colour. also maybe he has a quilt or a knitted blanket or something from his mam. whereas s might go a little more upmarket (it is worth it 2 him) and go for something a bit more luxurious xx he would buy silk sheets if he thought he could do so without his friends (rightly) making fun of him. as a COUPLE um i think s buys their bedding so its better quality. mostly white. two pillows each. probably some blankets tangled up there too when it is cold.
as for the bedrooms! actually so annoyed because i KNOW i VIVIDLY REMEMBER answering an ask about my thoughts on r's bedroom ages ago but after scrolling through my archive for like half an hour i still cant find it. but the long and short of it is for r i think his decor is pretty minimal i think. some posters + pictures bluetacked on the wall as a teen and probably lots of books and records and general clutter but. he moved around a lot as a kid i think he would not put an awful lot of effort into decorating his space beyond the basics especially as he gets older. whereas canonically s had a ton of posters up and i think he would put more effort into making his room his own especially growing up in an environment where he was very rarely free to express himself. his room is his little dominion. also i think he would enjoy collecting things from charity + antique shops to go in his room i think he'd have a nice rug for example. ive said b4 i imagine him being quite neat but not necessarily clean and i think that would reflect in his bedroom. and as a couple who share a bedroom!! decor-wise it would be more s than r but also generally just very cluttered and also probably messier than either of their individual bedrooms wouldve been. they would share so much stuff, like clothes, to the point where they dont really distinguish between what belongs to one and what belongs to the other. and they also dont put anything away. so there are lots of clothes laying about i think definitely they have one of those chairs in the corner that they dump clothes onto. it is hard to b on the ball about staying tidy when you spend at least seven hours a day gazing motionlessly and silently into each others eyes i expect

Politely asks if you have any OCs, and if you want to show off their designs or ramble about them if so?
Hello anon i am about to present to you some of the most boring motherfuckers youve ever laid your eyes on.
OK SO.
In late january 2 years ago, me and my good friend Raya (@ randomstuffifindinteresting) were makin stupid unfunny jokes about the stereotype of the hypermasculine homophobic dudes with so much internalised homophobia. Thus, Chad, Brad and Jake were born.
I dont draw them seriously very often, its mostly meme redraws, but theyre very basic looking people and dont have a hell of a lot going on with their outfits anyway. you can see a majority of the memes and stuff at (@oh-em-gee-oh-sees) but theyre a little old.
Tumblr media
[Chad, Brad, Jake(theres no yellow); and their good friends Vivere and Mori]
So Brad is kind of the favourite because both me and Raya want to smooch him LMAO. Hes 6'1, a lil chubby, got big ol tits and one of them big ol curved noses. Personality wise, he's more reserved than anyone else in the group and likes to listen more than he likes to contribute. He doesn't feel like he has many hobbies or interests because he just moves through life. He likes to be an observer. He is BIG into music though. I guess you could say its his special interest, but he certainly doesn't know that. He particularly likes women's pop music kind of as a comfort thing? Growing up, it was just him and his mom so he finds it calming. He doesn't bring it up very often though. Whenever he's zoned out at the kitchen counters you can imagine he's thinking about it. He also likes baking, but he doesnt do it enough to consider it a hobby. He's also pretty sensitive but struggles to be emotionally available. His love language is acts of service and quality time. He's for sure autistic but I dont know if he knows that lmao. He likes bracelets, especially beaded ones with coloured string inbetween because he likes to pick at them during the day. He has some weird aunts and uncles that pop up time to time, usually with no idea that he cut off the rest of his family for reasons I won't get into. They're all eccentric, but they're all very sweet.
Chad is Brad's husband and possibly the only functioning member of the group. Hes the only one who can carry a conversation outside of them, be it a starbucks employee or their upstairs neighbours. But hes also fuckin angry all of the time. It doesnt take a lot of teasing to piss him off and when he does he gets this very slight southern accent on some of his words, which only insights more teasing. Mostly from Jake. He fucking HATES Jake (affectionate). He is actively working on it though, and he has gotten a better at controlling it. He's banned from the kitchen and has been since about a month after the three dudes moved into their apartment. Safe to say, Brad does most of the cooking. Chad's definitely the strongest of the group, which is absolutely definitely not overcompensation for his height and how inferior it makes him feel. Like, realistically he knows its stupid to be that hung up on it, and no one actually cares, but his parents were VERY strong on gender roles and it stuck with him. If his dad, who would take him outside to chop wood and thats it found out he grew up to be 5'4? Chad doesn't like to think about it. His parents do know though. They're the only ones in contact with any of them, and noone is thrilled about it. Every six months or so, they'll travel up north to see their son and ask him all the typical questions. Do you have a girlfriend, whenre you getting married, etc. Not out of ignorance either, they know he's married and they often do it while his husband is in the room. His dad will often make snide remarks about his physicality disguised as jokes, too. And although Chad gets furious at them every single time, he's the best at not blowing up when its them. He'll squeeze Brad's hand whenever something happens, but thats about it. Until they leave and he has to lay down from how exhausted he is. He only lets them stay because a part of him wants to believe they'll accept him. And they dont even know about Jake. He goes to stay at the girl's apartment while theyre over. Chad's discomfort in femininity certainly doesn't last long, though, because he's the type of person who runs STRAIGHT at what he's afraid of swinging wildly. He started wearing dresses and such, and a few weeks later started doing small-scale performances in restaurants and local theaters, for which Vivere was the ultimate hypeman. He probably wouldn't wear a dress without an occasion, but hes comfortable enough to do so now.
Jake is a fucking. loudmouth. Everythings a game to him. He likes to poke at people (metaphorically and literally) to see where the limit is. Whats frustrating too is that hes good at it. He's good at finding where the limits are, what not to say, what exactly to say thatll push your buttons but not in a way thatll actually upset you. He likes to be annoying as possible. This goes hand in hand with his avid use of sex jokes. All the time. He's a big fan of the kind of comedy where you take a joke thst isnt funny to begin with, and then run it into the ground until its dead and gone. He especially likes to tease Chad because hes the most reactive, and he finds the southern accent fucking hilarious. He's your typical blonde-guy-with-mullet - He likes to drink energy drinks until his chest hurts. He vapes, which everyone else hates (except Brad, who only really has an opinion on it because Chad does). He won't say anything about it until it becomes to much for him and he breaks down, but its partially self sabotage. As is his hypersexuality. He has a weird relationship with sex in that being hypersexual is freeing from his hyperreligious upbringing, but he also uses it as a way to hurt himself. Mentally he's definitely the worse off. He's the smartest too, but chooses not to use it. He slips in and out of polyamory with Brad and Chad - they consider themselves 'dating' but it wont ever go further then that and hes free to do whatever outside of that. Its very casual, and Jake has an intense fear of commitment. Its kind of just him appearing at their door at night and asking if he can sleep in their bed that night. He's a LOT worse than he lets on. He does have anxiety which mostly manifests as him picking at his fingers until they bleed. He'll occasionally have panic attacks and the like, for which he has a psychiatric service dog that Ive only done an hour or so's research on so Ill do that soon. His name is still undecided because he had an original name that was stupid, but now hes a service dog and not just a pet i wanna change it, lmao. Despite all of the redirection and unhealthy coping mechanisms, Jake is a very loving person and his friends love him too <3! He and Brad have been best friends since year 4/3rd grade. They met because Brad was drawing and Jake came over and was like "wow youre good at drawing. can you do the keep out signs for my secret hideout?" and then Brad followed him around like he'd been adopted by an extrovert. They met chad in school about 4 or 5 yearz after they became friends.
Vivere is our resident person who could for sure intervene and fix thing but instead is going to watch it burn down. I wouldn't say shes lazy, she's more just someone who wants entertainment, and shes found an easy source. She can be pretty genuine, but she's always lighthearted. She's on the ace spectrum, but couldn't tell you where. She and Jake are best friends. Shes the bright ideas, hes the execution. They remind me of Team Rocket LMAO. She is an avid cheater of games. She has never not cheated at a board or card game. She brags about cheating but she has a poker face of steel. She'll make monopoly trades with Jake in order to fuck over the other players. Its easy to spot when Jake's cheating because he cant stop grinning, so Viv likes to set him up and encourage it to take the attention off of her ploys. Other than that, she's really into reading. Shes partial to horror, but she'll read just about anything. She also loves animals, But not the typically cutesy ones. She likes reptiles and bugs most. She and Mori have a gecko called Egg and if anything happens to him she'll run away forever /j. She also loves looking into pseudoscience, because she finds it interesting whether or not she believes in them. She is a strong believer in the principles of yes-and and will commit to a bit even if it kils her. She's here for a good time, not a long time.
Mori is tied favourite with Brad, for sure. She's 6'4 and always smiling - not a big one, but its always there. Like what can i say? she loves her friends. She likes kind of old-timey things. She has a pocket watch that never gets used but is there, on of those dial up telephones, etc. She loves collecting too, so she has an EXTENSIVE record collection that she considers her life's work at 22. She loves the sea and pirates and everything that goes with it. Mori also has a few ships in a bottle placed delicately on her windowcill. She's REALLY good with animals and trains dogs for work. She's a dog person for sure. She and Viv eventually want rats, but theres not much space in their apartment for the amount they would need and they have Egg for now. In terms of her dynamic in the group, she serves as the mediator - particularly when playing a game like Uno or Monopoly. (Side note: they had to write colours on the cards for both games because of her colourblindness. Does she know shes ginger? good question, i dont know.) Unlike Jake and Viv who are determined to cheat the rules, Mori is more flexible in the way that she'll change the rules for the group if a compromise is needed. She's the second most social competent after Chad, shes just very charismatic. She also is the Dungeon Master when they play DnD together. She's big on dice collecting. She has them all organised by colour (Vivere helps lmao) in jars and displayed on her drawers. The group is extremely tight-knit and are almost always with atleast one other member of the group, but Mori has never been spotted in just a tshirt and jeans. The pirate outfit stays on during sex /j. What does she wear for pyjamas? No one knows. Vivere refuses to tell.
Uhhhh yeah I think thats basically it, LMAO. Tysm for asking and sorry this took a while to answer. but yeah! Here's the little dudes!!!! TBH i always enjoyed OCs that dont have any magical powers or plot theyre just people livin their lives, lmao. <33

Personal:  Something Good Survived
Wednesday, I promised to take a couple of millennials swimming.  The heat and air quality have been terrible, but the air is generally a bit better at the lake and the run off fed lake is refreshing on a too hot for the local ecosystem and me kind of day.
It drizzled in the morning and was very overcast in the afternoon, but really, to me it had simply cut the air contaminants in halfish and lowered the temperature to reasonable summer day in this micro-climate from unnatural and wrong levels.
I had a doctor's appointment for the afternoon, and had scheduled with the millennials to pick them up downtown after.  I had a massive number of downtown errands, but the timing looked reasonable.  The poverty clinic was way behind, as is often the case, especially with the under-staffing thanks to the pandemic, and I knew my appointment would be longish.  There is skin cancer in my family.  I have been periodically on medicines that increase the chances of it.  I'm also an Elder Goth, which is protective.  If you've been avoiding the sun whenever possible since the mid-'80's your skin ages much more gently and it drops your skin cancer risk.  Still I'm in my fifties, and I've had assorted lumps, moles and skin tags since my early thirties. I also have a serious autoimmune condition.  Once I went on Medicare, i made a habit of going in once a year or so for a skin check/tag removal because it's free and a really good idea preventative medicine wise.  (It infuriates me that we got ACA instead of Universal single payer or at minimum medicare for all.  EVERY BODY should get basic preventative medicine.)  Anyway, I skipped two years for the pandemic and a bunch of things had grown or appeared or changed and this takes a while.  (I'm fine by the way.  The new weird thing may end up getting removed if it grows or gets more annoying, but otherwise is a nuisance not a danger.  We're also keeping an eye on yet another cyst, but the other random stuff was the usual).
I also needed bloodwork, and to pick up meds at the attached Pharmacy, change stuff at the library, go to the post office, pay a small bill I pay every month in person, and drop off my sandals for repair as they broke last week.
I did all but the last three in time to pick up millennials for swimming.  I collected them.  We did the post office run as the thing needing mailing was time sensitive.  I blew off the small bill until next week, which is fine.  I flaked the shoe repair, which is extra stupid as it was literally a place I passed after collecting techie millennial on the way to get head millennial.  D'oh!  I went to my favorite post office where there was no line.  (Most people don't know it is there.  it's mostly a sorting depot, and the line is short or non-existence except in November and December.  Plus it's an historic building and really pretty inside).  It took less than ten minutes even with the hobbling to and from parking.
We stopped so millennials could pick up snacks, and went up to the lake.  The over cast day had scared most people away, so the parking was great.  There were a ton of ducks and a murder of crows and a lone seagull.  Techie Millennial i went in and it was fine.  Head millennial drank coffee and fed birds.  We came out when it got choppy and hung out for a while, enjoying bird politics and chatting.  It looked like a storm was coming in around five thirty, so we took techie millennial home.  Head Millennial prepped the kitchen for Stove exchange and made us pancakes to eat while watching what we do in the shadows.
It was a good day.  The storm missed us alas, so I still had trouble with my sinuses today, and the sky was cloudless and starting to turn the wrong colour when I took my sandals downtown.  It was a massive relief to see a mid-thirties millennial with a nose ring running the counter while the Elderly gentlemen who's run the place since long before I moved here was working in the back.  I worried about him during the pandemic and very much hoped he was okay.  I also worried there would be no one to take over the trade when the Boomer era shoe repair guy retired.  We have lost so much in this town in the last three years.  The fish store that was a local institution burned down the Autumn before the plague.  A ton of small businesses died in the last two years.  This summer, the elderly couple that ran the open air produce store retired and another institution is gone, but there is the tiny shoe repair place and the handmade sweet shop run by an equally ancient couple next door to it was open, though there was no point in me doing more than gaze longingly at it, since I can't chew anything.  They survived!  Something good survived!
Poor Squirrel is still sleeping on the sofa and occasionally napping in my room in the evening when I'm not using it.  The Cats find this deeply disturbing.  Tavy keeps Gargoyling on the sofa back to stare at Squirrel while he sleeps and both he and the Empress keeping checking squirrel's room in disbelief off and on all day because he's supposed to be there.  Livia has decided to pretend Squirrel is not sleeping in weird places so she ignores him and subtly avoids him when he is in the wrong place.
I am just having a ton of trouble with my body.  It is all chronic illness stuff made so much worse by heat and air quality every time I need to leave the safe, filtered bubble of the cat asylum and all the stress and drama around food and my teeth.  I keep having to go to bed very early without much warning.  I am falling drastically behind again sigh.
My Gothy heart longs for Autumn for all the usual reasons, but also because of all the ways climate change has complettely borked the local weather patterns.

Narratives in motion, Making the props.
After finalising the storyboard it was time to get into action. My main obstacle with this project was figuring out what I would use as my main character, whether I’d make the doll myself or buy/find one. But after reviewing all the props I had to make, I knew it wouldn’t be a wise decision time wise to make the doll myself. So I decided to go out and buy one. I needed to ideally find something quite small, as my largest background were going to be A1 sized. I also wanted to find a doll with movable limps and joints so I could have more freedom when making the animation. I got really lucky and found a small barbie doll with movable joints. After purchasing it, I went home and started modifying the doll to fit in with the aesthetics of my stopmotion. I started by erasing her face and using acrylic to draw a new face. Since this story is quite dark and gloomy, I made sure to give her a dark and sad look, using neutral earthier tones. I had to remake her face about 2 times as I was not too happy with the first take, but after a second time I was happy with how she looked. The doll also had quite long hair which I thought would get in the way so I decided to cut it for practicality. Next step was her clothes, they were way too bright and definitely didn’t fit the theme so I decided to make her a simple black dress out of some fabric material I found at home. Sewing it was quite a challenge since it was so small, but I’m not too displeased with how it turned out. I used a ribbon around her waist to make it fit a little better, and add to the quality.
After making the doll, making the 3D props was my main priority as I knew this would take the longest and be the most important aspects of my animation. To create the bed I started off by painting a piece of card with some brown acrylic, leaving streaks in the paint to make it look like wood. I then folded it into a rectangle and added smaller card rectangles on one end to serve at the feet of the bed. The feet were not so sturdy so I had to be careful with it, but I still worked out. For the mattress I used a piece of foam I found and cut it to size, then used some fabric glue to lay over some fabric for the sheets. I used the same approach when it came to the pillow. The cover was simply a piece of fabric with one edge glued over, to give it more the appearance of a bed cover. Overall I was quite happy with the bed, it was the right size for the doll and I could easily move the cover and pillow within my animation. The last 3D prop I made was the mirror which we see at the end. This was quite easy to make, I found some thick card and simply added a think piece of card to the back to make it stand up. Then all I had to do was draw my main character as a skeleton on the surface. The only problem I had with this is that I made the mirror before making the outfit for my doll and they ended ou being 2 different outfits, but at that point I didn’t have time to change either of them!
Finally, all was left was the backgrounds and digital props. For the backgrounds I created a bedroom on A1 paper, the outside of a brick house and used the rye fields from the first project and edited some colour into it. Making the backgrounds didn’t take long, I didn’t want to add to much detail, since the main focus of this project was the actual animation, so used my time wisely. I then made several movements for the crow in Procreate, the wash line and some fish. If I had to improve these I could have made more moving variations of the fish and the washing line as I did with the crow to add dynamic, but I thought it would take too long so I left it. Lastly, I made different heights and variations of waves to use at the start of my animation and for the sequence when the house starts flooding. I did this using acrylic and A1 paper.
I was quite happy with how all my props turned out and confident I still had enough time for my animation!

Want to try out digital nomad or expat life? This is what it’ll cost
New Post has been published on https://medianwire.com/want-to-try-out-digital-nomad-or-expat-life-this-is-what-itll-cost/
Want to try out digital nomad or expat life? This is what it’ll cost
Tumblr media
Moving abroad is exciting in many ways, but it also requires a lot of research – from where you’ll live to how you’ll get there and the language you’ll need to learn.
Cost of living is a major deciding when choosing your new home – particularly in the current economic climate. It is especially important for those hoping to reduce their bills by living in a cheaper location.
So how do you work out what your food shopping or rent for the month will cost?
Numbeo, a crowdsourced online tool, could be the answer. The Serbia based website draws together information from users all over the world about the price of everyday purchases.
“Everyone can add the data, like Wikipedia,” Mladen Adamovic, CEO of Numbeo tells Euronews Travel.
What does Numbeo’s data reveal about different countries?
Numbeo is a cost of living index that has data for most cities around the world. Data is presented using colour-coded pins on a map. But you can also directly compare your current city of residence with the place you are hoping to move to and it shows you prices side by side.
Comparing Lyon, France to London for example, reveals that rent and restaurant prices are higher in the UK capital. Grocery prices, however, are actually around 20 per cent lower in London.
Comparisons include a list of specific everyday items too like a litre of milk, a kilogram of apples or even a packet of cigarettes. For those looking to stay long-term, there are prices per square metre for purchasing apartments inside and outside of the city centre.
If you aren’t looking for specifics, Numbeo’s data provides an overall figure that shows in London, to maintain the same lifestyle as you had in Lyon, you would need €1,756.79 more per month.
Users can also add data about factors that impact quality of life, such as traffic, safety and healthcare.
How does Numbeo keep its data up to date?
Adamovic, Numbeo’s CEO, explains that the tool uses adaptive archive technology to make sure information is up to date. A vital feature in the face of today’s ever-fluctuating prices.
“That means if there are, for example, 120+ people contributing a certain price in Munich in the past three months, we archive entries older than three months.”
The more entries they get, the better they can account for the changing costs of inflation.
“Our primary target is people who are considering relocation from one country to another so that they can estimate if that move would be money-wise,” says Adamovic.
“That includes people who want to relocate to cheaper countries, the website helps them in choosing a new location.”
Cost of living comparisons could be particularly helpful for digital nomads
The online tool is especially useful for those only looking to spend a few months abroad – like digital nomads, says Adamovic.
“Numbeo is frequently visited by digital nomads,” he explains, “I guess as many are staying for a few months in a certain country, they are checking the prices before they go.”
He says that Numbeo is the most popular website by internet traffic for people checking prices in other cities and countries.
Italy: Where is the cheapest place to live?
Many dream of moving to Italy, whether for retirement or earlier in life. With the country launching a digital nomad visa, it could get easier to live and work from Italy.
Looking at costs in the country gives some interesting results. Comparing the capital city Rome to, for example, living in Naples reveals the south is cheaper on all fronts – particularly rental costs which are 44 per cent lower.
Further south in Palermo, Sicily rental prices are even cheaper at almost 58 per cent lower than in Rome.
But Numbeo can be used to compare the cost of living all over the globe, not just in Europe. Those looking to take advantage of digital nomad visas further afield in Bali, Indonesia for example will find that perhaps unsurprisingly, prices are significantly lower.
Compared to Paris, the amount you can expect to pay for a meal at an inexpensive restaurant could be almost 90 per cent lower on average in Bali. If you’re looking for a bottle of red wine, however, expect that to be more than 100 per cent more expensive than it would be in France.
It’s this level of specificity that makes the cost of living tool appealing for those looking to work out the realities of becoming a digital nomad or expat.

Also, the "A"s on both of the faux photos are not like the genuine "A"s. prada slides Prada has a particular angled sew pattern, as proven within the above/left picture. Authentic Prada ought to always have this stitch pattern and must be very consistent with out varying widths. The downside with the faux above is the sharp edge where the leg adjustments angles. Which Louis Vuitton Replica Bag And Vendor Have You Had The Most Satisfaction And Pride Carrying?
All their packing containers are orange with navy blue text. The mud baggage followed go properly with, turning into a cream colour with navy blue writing. From 2004 to 2016, the beige mud bag is made out of flannel or linen. A perfectly symmetrical and centered LV brand is printed in brown on it. A small white tag saying where the bag was made could be found inside. Each bag comes with a date code, which is principally somewhat leather-based tag where letters and numbers are embossed to notice where and when the bag was made. Inequality will solely result when you measure it with rulers and unique ID numbers. The latter is what we all ought to go for if the finances is tight. Offering solely such merchandise is my very own suggestion, the vendor from whom I brought. You can buy the same good LV replicas from HERE. Well, generally after we are so engrossed with fiction, actuality typically will get obscured. My finest bag I ordered is my monogram tote It looks, feels, and even smelled similar to the original. I was additionally scammed up to now on ioffer and type of lost trust in on-line sellers. On the other hand I really wanted a bag, and I can’t afford to pay $4000 so I determined to go with your really helpful vendor this time, a minimum of this guy has a vouch. Today I received my bag, will attach a picture of it. As per the mannequin and magnificence selected, the fee is more probably to differ considerably. However, there isn't any assure that these models are of fine quality, which I have described above. As someone whose associates are fashionable and classy with a fashion-conscious mind, I really have tried a number of designer items. This has made my eyes considerably more astute than an average Jack. With such a vision, I can frankly say that the enhancing high quality and rising popularity of purses retains astonishing me as properly as my purse . https://phoenet.tw/blog/post/get-the-best-louis-vuitton-replica-bags This web site is fantastic because it features some of the best quality replica fashion equipment yow will discover anyplace on this planet. I was like a child who was left alone in a sweet store. Ch David is the co-founder and CEO of Legit Check By Ch. Also, the visibility of the pretend Louis Vuitton Keepall serial number is worse, and the genuine serial quantity is extra opaque. The solely distinction from above is that the Neverfull bag has narrower straps, hence why they give the impression of being totally different from the Keepall bag’s straps. Depending in your bag’s model, you are going to see some inscriptions on the strap. Also, please keep in mind that the nation of producing the bag doesn’t have an effect on the thickness of the text on the label. Looking at the text, we have identified how all of the lines of textual content on the replica Louis Vuitton Metis bag are too thick. Counterfeiters often get lazy in phrases of particulars. A good method to catch faux merchandise is to know your history of Louis Vuitton mud baggage and boxes. So, if you’re on the lookout for the next high-quality model purse you’d like to purchase for yourself or for a liked one, you know where to look. wikipedia handbags The identical goes for the subsequent time you’re in the marketplace for a high-end handbag. Thus, it's wise to watch out whereas choosing a duplicate. A good rule of thumb is to contemplate buying a replica of a preferred bag model. So, it is extra dependable to search for the replicas of a well-liked model, as they're in quite better form and measurement than the much less popular models. This is maybe a super approach to discover which bag to buy as real and which to purchase as fake. The much less recognized models must be introduced in their genuine kind to retain their unique construct and design.

Artist Inspirations: Ari Gibson (Hollow Knight,) The Divine Comedy (Multiple artists,) etc
For my games style, I was inspired barley by any artist, going into my project, I was not hindered by such trivialities as such, rather I went with my own artistic vision that I had in and outside of work, with my overall style being lightly influenced by artists such as Hirohiko Araki of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fame and little else, (and that was for the roughly humanoid creatures, for those less related there was no other inspiration.)
Due to this, I was not greatly influenced by artistic interpretation, rather, my influence came from other artists, such as those in the musical spectrum and that of literature, such as Will Wood, known for his robust yet sentimental songs or Dante, known for his writing, the Divine Comedy, who I looked into for research on this project. Sadly, as it is, this is not wanted, rather those who make art as it’s basic terminology are required who I cannot talk of as if I was influenced, as I surely wasn’t in great spades.
Because of this, I see it impossible to, in good tastes, say I was inspired as such, though I intend to look at artists that might have subconsciously influenced me or were an inspiration in another media translated into art, similar to the outstanding musical interpretation of War of the Worlds that I would highly recommend a listen too.
Ari Gibson: know best for his art for the beloved indi game Hollow knight, Gibson portrays his characters in a lower, smoother and less detailed form than the rest of his artwork, such as backgrounds and set pieces to allow them an easier time to animate and implement them into the world, as with more highly rendered characters would take a far longer period of time to implement due to simple facts.
While it did not inspire me, and even though I was not the biggest fan of the game overall, even though I was quite pleased with it and respected that it was owed more respect than I could give, the idea of simpler characters that would allow for a quicker workflow with, hopefully, better yields (such as quantity and quality) than if they focused on hyper realism, what wouldn’t have been a bad way to take the game, as it’s settings and themes would allow such a more morbid aesthetic, the cuter, yet still uneasy characters would have been something useful to be inspired by.
Divine Comedy: while having lots of artists depict the story since it’s conception, no doubt helped by its surreal imagery, the magnum opus of Dante has had some stellar art produced for it over the years. My favourite depictions come from French illustrator Gustave Doré, who’s art work depicts my favourite pieces of work on the subject with his aesthetically pleasing, monochromatic works.
While defiantly not inspired visually, as my work would never reach a mere pittance of what they have achieved, I could have been inspired by them character wise, with their characters consisting of spliced animals from mythology, tremors giants and uninlightened popes, the twisted body of Arachene and the mental horrors of the rings of hell and the mystical visages of those in heaven.
Emmy Cicierega: Sister of musical artist Niel Cocierega who was a big inspiration for all of my work, she has helped Niel on his album art in her spare time, such art is that of the cover of Hip to the Javabean but works as a story board artists for many Disney based properties, such as Gravity Falls and the new show, the Owl House. Her style, at least on these projects, leans heavily in the western animation branch of art, what makes sense as that is where she works.
While not a major inspiration, I have always like the artwork of Lemon Demons albums, especially colour wise for his most recognisable album, Spirit phone. The use of a spectrum of reds gets across the point of the supernatural horror aspects of the album, not including bonus tracks, and the use of the eye flares, depicted in a blinding white, is used to great effect as it suggests that there is another character behind them that is out of view, adding onto the fear that the songs entail. This could have inspired my far more bright colours that I used in my project and also my far more cartoony, bold lines art.

Who Sells The Most Effective Hermes Replica Bags? The Place To Buy Super Pretend Hermes Birkin
Also, fake Hermes bags can typically have misshapen or rounded handles. When it involves designer purses, model is extremely necessary. And after all, there are few brands that can compete with Hermes. This company has been extremely popular for a couple of years and it's simply as in style at present. The Kelly bag and Birkin from Hermes are very fashionable from around the world. Even although these methods of authenticating Hermes Birkin bag are essentially the most relevant to today’s counterfeit industry, beware that faux producers progress at insane rates. We discover nearly each month that it's getting tougher and more durable to distinguish authentic items from fakes, as a outcome of replicas are getting fairly good. You ought to undoubtedly strive methods in this information yourself, however should you spent a lot of money on an item, it might be wise to consider professional authentication. What stunned me and my good friend is that this birkin is strictly the identical as the one we purchased from Hermès shops, from the softness of leather-based, texture, colour, hardware, and stitching. No vital difference was found within the degree of expertise. I make up my mind to buy my first Hermes replica in my life. As you all know I truly have been a handbag lover for many years however I have by no means thought about owning a Hermes bag until very recently. When it involves the higher-quality replica, normally the font of the letters is replicated better than they would seem on the lower-quality baggage. Using a blind stamp to authenticate your Hermes bag is a really good way to spot the variations. https://re-pin.me/replicas-hermes-bags.html “Thesangles,or straps, safe the bag closed and have steel plaques on either end. wikipedia handbags The right-side plaque will have ‘Hermès – Paris’ engraved on it. If you are interested in promoting or consigning your bag with us, we'll authenticate it earlier than listing it on the site and again utilizing a second skilled upon a profitable purchase of the bag. If you would like extra information, please message us utilizing the form on the “Contact Us” page. If even one of the particulars listed above seems off a few Hermes Birkin or Kelly, trust your intuition. It could be the tiniest of particulars similar to the standard of the stitching, the burden of the zipper the stamp, the brand, if the price appears too good to be true and so forth. However, if you have any doubts, trust your gut feeling and get a second or even third opinion from a professional. They all get scratched and damaged from using. It’s so unhappy to know that I spent so much and ultimately all of them get old, unfastened the worth and don’t look good as new. You have no obligation to purchase the product as soon as you know the price.

Sooo, any preferences on guys? Height/Weight/Build, hair/eye color, age? What would you say is your biggest turn off? How about what turns you on? (personality or appearance-wise). Favorite hobbies? Anything quirky or unique that people notice/comment about you?
Oh, and obviously, are you looking for commitment/relationships or do you prefer to be single? How about poly or open relationships, have you or would you consider one?
( feel free to disregard any or all questions. Asking on anon because I don't really intend on making a move, but I'd love to know more about you! ♡)
Preferences on guys:
Height
I think a guy a lil shorter than me would be ideal.
Weight
I tend to like the slimmer/slender/fitter guys, but heavier guys who you can see carrying it better than some, I guess, they just have a better distribution of fat over the muscle underneath it all. Thats my interpretation of how it works, I'm not knowledgeable enough to trust what I said being correct.
Build
Normal 🤷‍♂️ all the way to gym rat? And if they are a gym rat I'd prefer they had a decent layer of fat on themselves.
Hair & eye colour
Not a preference but just seems to be something guys I'm drawn towards have, dark eyes & hair, brown & black hair.
Oh, salt and pepper in the hair just starting to show 🥰😈
Age
Around my age.
What would you say is your biggest turn off?
Incompatible personality (attitude, morals, political ideology), bad personal hygiene, careless w/ money or being highly money focused. Probably loads more tho.
How about what turns you on:
personality wise?
Probably the same for anyone? Kindness, confidence, intelligent (and constantly learning new things) and a wicked sense of humour.
appearance wise?
Any mix of the above. I also tend to have a thing for guys with a sense of fashion and style. BUT on the flip side there are a few scruffy looking guys that can get it. So who knows lol.
Favourite hobbies?
I don't have much time for hobbies. Maybe a quick game here and there. Reading when I can (usually after I get in bed). Or being a hoe online, thats pretty fun.
Anything quirky or unique that people notice or comment about you?
Hmm, none of this will be quirky or unique. Its probably just all autism.
I'm consistent. I'm blunt, but usually not intentionally. I'm a quiet person, in the sense I say very little. I don't talk to fill the silence or just to have my say. I'm observant, ... of specific qualities? idk how to describe it, but I'm also dense AF.
People seem to trust me with, sometimes really, personal info and IDK WHY. I think they think I'll forget what they've said etc. Its a mistake a few people have made who've later decided to piss me off or try.
Are you looking for commitment/relationships or do you prefer to be single?
I'm not actively looking. I should. I don't put myself out there.
I've been single all of my life. I'm used to it. It's gonna take work to stay with someone AND I'm sorry for them! 😂🤷‍♂️
How about poly or open relationships, have you or would you consider one?
I personally don't think I could be in an open relationship. I think if someone wanted to be with me I'd be very possessive & easily jealous. Maybe as the relationship grew it might evolve but NOPE. They are mine and I'm theirs. I know I've not grown enough in that aspect.
As for a poly relationship I think again I've not grown enough to deal with that idk tbh. I'd need the couple to basically adopt me and walk me thru whats happening. 😂

Tailor!Reader in Dream SMP
Dsmp x reader prompt; Tailor!Reader in Dream SMP. Credit would be appreciated so more people can find this and make their own things based on it.
Can fully be read as platonic. GN!reader with they/them pronounce as a placeholder so anyone can adapt it however they want. Both general and character specific parts included.
Characters who have a lot written for/about; Eret, Ranboo, Foolish, Tommy, Technoblade, Philza and Michael. Mentioned; Tubbo, Sam Nook, Purpled and Foolish Jr.
This ended up being super long so I’m putting it under the cut in order not to clutter people’s pages. My personal favourite part is Phil’s and Techno’s part. These could be read as headcanons but are still available as a prompt(s) to use for anyone.
------------------------------
The reader joining after the doomsday as a time frame in my mind.
The reader helping people patch up their current clothes since most of it got pretty banged up during the doomsday, and it's not like they can just go get a new outfit since quite a few people had just lost all their belongings and only had the clothes on their back. So at first prioritizing helping patch up the current clothing people were wearing and then moving on to making some simple fast to make and easy on the resources clothes for people. Just like basic shirts and shorts/pants, nothing fancy. Then when everyone has at least a couple of different clothes to change to and from starting their own business to sell people more if they wanted. However waving payment if they brought them the materials and what they wanted wasn't overly complicated.
People at first thinking they are just some chump who knows basic sewing or something. A very kind chump, but still a chump. So imagine their surprise when one day they are just walking by the reader's now established tailors and they see these absolutely stunning designs displayed at the windows.
Just like their reactions seeing these beautiful designs they can't help but stare at. I'd imagine some of them just doing a double take when they walk by, someone pressing their face up to the glass trying to see it closer, the braver ones going inside and talking to the reader about their designs and the more anxious and/or shy ones only going inside when the reader isn't there to look at designs closer.
And the reasons they like/are amazed by the designs vary also ! Some just have monkey brain that goes "Pretty. WANT", some who just love the colour and art of the pieces, some who imagine how epic this design or others would look on them, some who love the fashion aspect of it and of course the very small portion who actually know anything about tailoring/sewing and the amount of work that goes into making something intricate.
Some specific character/group interactions I thought of;
Making warm well insulated clothes for people moving to Snowchester so they don't freeze. +A warm cape for Ranboo for the same reason.
Eret being one of the firsts (if not the first) to get himself a fully tailored and customized outfit. Them also being the first and very possibly only person to get a dress or a skirt since most of the other people on the server prefer to wear pants (excluding maid dresses which people might get as joke). The reader crying in joy for getting to design something different for once. And hey if the reader ends up making a few extra ones that she didn't order, but decided to give her anyway it was all just some extra ones they had lying around, never mind the fact that the dresses/skirts are perfectly tailored for Eret and are her style. Just a coincidence, nothing suspicious there. Eret also models for the reader and once he even convinced them to hold a fashion show to showcase some of their work to the whole server. Of course he was the main model presenting the outfits.
At start of the reader beginning to display their designs at their shop Ranboo sees a really cool looking suit on display and his brain just goes "Want." He probably wouldn't be able to buy anything pre-made and be comfortable in it due to his physique. And him having just moved into the arctic and only starting to get settled in, he doesn't have comfortable enough funds for him to get something as expensive as a custom tailored suit AND have enough for any possible rent that he might be required to pay.
Eventually when he gets richer he starts considering getting one but the anxious side of him always ends up winning and he doesn't. However once he finally gets the courage to go commission the suit for himself he doesn't regret it at all. The reader did their best to not overwhelm him and to make it the best possible experience. Just imagining the absolute joy he would feel for having a properly fitting suit that's made just for him, not too short sleeves nor too wide torso and shoulders, just perfect. If he ends up ordering a couple more suits that's between him and the reader. He actually ends up probably being their most frequent and reliable customer.
And we should all know why that is, but let me clarify just in case; Michael.
The reader basically becoming Michael's personal stylist (/hj) . Not only does Ranboo buy a god awful amount of clothes for Michael, the reader also makes some free ones for him. The free ones are things the reader felt like designing since they absolutely adore Michael and the ones Ranboo pays for are commissioned by him. Michael absolutely has the biggest wardrobe in the whole server. The reader learning how to make plushies so Michael could have some more toys, this learning experience including learning to crochet and knit to see what he like best.
Using their newly acquired plush making skills, the reader starts their quest to make some plushies for others after seeing people stare at the plushies wistfully either while they were working on them or seeing Michael with the plushies. People who got them include the minors, their close friends and basically anyone they thought might benefit from them. Some of the ones they made (that I could think of);
Of course a bee for Tubbo, but also throwing in a little ram one as well
Ranboo gets a grass block plush/pillow
Tommy gets a cobblestone block plush and a cow plush. He also later receives a Sam Nook plush while he's working on the hotel
Purpled getting two different sized ufos, one to hold and the other more of a big pillow
Eret definitely gets a flamingo plush
Foolish gets a totem and a gold block plushies
Phil gets crow plush as well these tiny fake coin and gem plushies (the latter causes problems for him which I'll expand upon later)
Techno gets a pig one as well as polar bear one
Back to the individual/group part
The reader just chilling w/ Foolish as a fellow artists. Them talking about both their arts and catching up every time the reader comes to deliver something to Snowchester when Foolish is building the mansion. Just two pretty peaceful artists talking about their passions. I’d imagine Foolish and the reader could relate to each other and their place in the server due to their similar hobbies/jobs as well as their similar time of joining the server. Foolish's first commission from them being an intricate blanket for Foolish Jr so he could have a more comfortable resting place. He may or may not end up receiving that and several other (though less intricate) blankets as well as a tiny shark plush to give to Foolish Jr. Later on when the reader gets better at either knitting or crocheting they end up making a tiny shark jumper with a hood for Foolish Jr as well. Foolish would definitely cry when he sees his tiny shark baby. Any commissions of clothes for himself tend to always take some time due to sheer amount of work needing to be done due to his size so he always makes sure the reader doesn’t already have a lot on their plate and that they know he’s fine with waiting if they need to take a break from it.
Then there's Tommy, who they sometimes teach more about sewing since he already knows some basics. Him probably being the first person aside from Michael they make a plush for, due to him demanding one once he saw the reader making them. Then proceeding to get three plushies in rapid succession. The first being the cobblestone, the second being the cow and the third one being the Sam Nook one. He ends up losing one of them during the prison fiasco and when the reader asks if he'd like a new one they only get the answer of "Don't want to think about what happened and the same one might make me do that". He then promptly receives new clothing (so he isn't wearing the same ones he was wearing in prison) and some extra blankets (for comfort) from the reader.
After Tommy meeting Michael does he use him to scam the reader to make them matching outfits for free? Yes, yes he does. Does it work? Yes, yes it does. Are they bothered by it? Not really, they look adorable in their matching outfits.
The reader being the source for Sam Nook's construction gear/clothes or at least the original patterns for them.
And then there's the arctic boys (minus Ranboo, who will still get mentioned) who are an interesting bunch clothing wise. The first one to commission the reader out of them would be Phil who got the original warm cape for Ranboo but also at the same time commissioned one for himself that would include slits for his wings. Eventually getting to design clothing for him which is always an exciting challenge with his wings. And when Phil finally manages to convince Techno to get something made for himself as well, Techno almost immediately gets addicted to having high quality clothing when they finish their first piece for him. The fun the reader has designing clothes for these boys is immeasurable with their different styles and needs in the clothing. Aside from clothing Techno also commissions them for a pet bed for Steve.
When the boys got their plushies it was adorable but also a very chaotic. Techno giving his pig one to Steve so he wouldn't miss him when he was away from home, but also bringing the polar bear one with him when he couldn't or wasn't allowed to bring Steve with him but still needed comfort. While on Phil's side of things; he was showing his crows the crow plushie joking about he'll replace them if they aren't careful however he made the mistake of showing them the tiny coin and gem plushies as well. I want you to imagine hundreds of crows descending upon this poor fool of a man in the background while the reader is walking away hoping they like their plushies.
The war that ensued the couple following days amongst the crows starts to cool down but the bickering doesn't, every waking moment Phil can feel eyes on him and one or more of the crows coming to complain about the others having had the shiny plushies for too long. He quickly caves under the pressure and commissions more of the tiny shiny treasure plushies. And by more I mean a lot more.
When he finally has enough of the things he goes around distributing them to the crows. Finally a moment of peace, but he still feels like something is staring at him occasionally. Deciding to ignore it since it's finally quiet he goes to makes himself a cup of tea and while waiting for the water to boil he fishes out the few shiny plushies he had saved for himself. The second he does he feels eyes burning into him and now that it's quiet he hears it, quiet muffled snuffles and snorts of discontent. Then he sees what ‘it’ is, it's Techno behind the window looking at the shinies in his hand with such intensity Phil fears for his life (/hj). Phil just sighs deeply before walking over to the window and opening it. For a second Techno looks like a deer in headlights before returning to intensely staring at the shinies in Phil's hand before Phil just dumps the shiny plushies into Techno's hand and closes the window. Happy piglin noises can be heard outside while Phil debates the pros (getting to have shinies himself) and cons (the embarrassment of having to commission even more of the shiny plushies than he already has) of getting new ones from the reader. And in all this the reader has no idea the amount of chaos they inadvertently caused.
And finally; Techno commissioning robes/cloaks for whole the Syndicate to wear in their meetings, because he’s dramatic like that. But since he’s a thoughtful guy, he wants them all to fit the members well and not be uncomfortable to wear so he gets everyone’s measurements. Once he has them all he goes to the reader with the order for the robes, he has all the measurements written down under just Person 1, Person 2 etc. to keep their anonymity and when asked what the robes are for he just tells the reader it’s a book club. When he gets them all and the reader asks no further questions he thinks he’s gotten away with getting some cool robes for the Syndicate with their secrets safe. Little does he know the reader actually now knows all the members in the Syndicate since they can just reference the gotten measurements with everyone’s measurements written down from previous work done by them. Whether the reader thinks it’s some weird cult they all are a part of or just an actual book club people are too embarrassed to admit they are in, is up to interpretation.
