(hello! Sorry if this is bad, I wrote it in the car lmao. But, enjoy!)

Give Them a Headline

Tom hadn't been with you when you went off on them

It was usually Bill with you the few times you did

The first was when you guys had just started getting popular

You guys were kids

Who had just finished a set late at night and needed sleep

And paparazzi would not stop bothering you and Bill

One even tried grabbing Bill

It was a pretty young woman who grabbed him and shoved a mic and camera in his face

Bill couldn't even talk and was blinded as everyone crowded you guys

Security was trying to get them away but could only do so much

So you took it in your hands to clock the bitch and her camera

Bill was happy you helped him but was shocked

Tom only heard about it because it ended up in tabloids across the web

Other times you yelled at paparazzi

As you got older and it kept happening, people thought you were rude and aggresive

But others understood you guys were kids and needed privacy

Tom didn't think about what would happen if he was ever there with you when hat happened

Until it actually did happen

"Oh my fucking, god. Move!" You yelled out the window to the paparazzi, getting a laugh out of Tom as you guys tried getting home.

"Relax, we'll get out soon enough." Tom tried to reassure you, his hand in your thigh as you scoffed at the people with cameras.

"It's dumb, they got their pictures, we're trying to get to her hotel." You explained, barely giving him a glance before a camera man jumped in front of the car, almost on the hood.

"Are you kidding me?" Tom scoffed at him before he was shoved aside as you laid your hand on the horn, and hard.

The man jumped off the hood out of shock as you flipped him off.

"You're gonna end up in another tabloid." Tom said, amused and understanding about your actions.

"I don't give a shit, I want to sleep." You sighed, rubbing your temple as Tom sighed, squeezing your thigh for comfort as he tried to maneuver out of the maze of people.

It didn't seem to stop, camera men and women with mics all kept following the car. Even fans from the concert yelled and followed the car.

"Go, go, go!" You yelled, pointing to an opening as Tom tried to floor it.

"Seriously?!" You yelled again when they blocked that exit, again.

"Go away!" You yelled at the window as they came up to your guy's windows, shoving cameras as they flashed into the cracks.

You could barely see, shielding your eyes with your hand.

"(Name)! Tom! Just a few questions!" A woman yelled, somehow getting her mic through the slit in the window.

"Oh, fuck this." You muttered, Tom was barely able to look and see as you grabbed the car door handle and shoved the door open.

"(Name)! Get back in!" Tom yelled as he saw you use the door to shove the woman back, getting out effectively and yelling at her.

Tom couldn't hear the obscenities, but he could tell what they were from the looks on the others' faces.

"Shit, shit…" Tom muttered, getting out to follow quickly as he moved to your side of the car to get you back in.

"Get the fuck out of our way! Don't you have anything better to do than harass people half your age?!"

You yelled at the adults, covering their cameras and throwing the mics they shoved in your face away from you.

"Yo! Get in the car." Tom tried to get you back in the car, not that he wasn't enjoying it, he just didn't feel like dealing with angry internet trolls.

"Get this shit out of my face!" You grabbed a camera, one that a man got too close to you, throwing it and yelling at the guy.

"(Name)!" Tom laughed, it slipped out as he wrapped one of his arms around your waist, using the other to open the car door.

"Get in." Tom said, still laughing before he stopped as you grabbed a cup from the cup holder and threw it at the woman who shoved the mic in the window.

"What the hell, kid?!" The woman yelled, now doused in sticky soda.

"Get a fucking life!" You yelled as Tom now used both of his arms to get you in the car, closing the door quickly and going back to the driver side.

He got in the best he could without hitting people out of his way, slipping in the seat fast enough to see you flipping off paparazzi.

You honked the horn loudly as Tom drove, effectively scaring them out of the way not to be fun over.

It wasn't long before you guys got out of there, you breathed heavily as Tom drove.

Tom then couldn't help the laugh that slipped out, getting your attention.

"What?" You snapped, more annoyed at the paparazzi than him.

"You're a piece of work." Tom joked, his laugh now getting a little one out of you.

"They're tiring, I wanna go to the hotel and sleep." You explained, settling into the seat.

"Maybe you should do that more often. Her face was hilarious." Tom nodded, a smirk on his face as he leaned over to kiss your neck lightly.

You smiled, kissing his cheek when he pulled back before settling back in, his hand back on your thigh.

"Might as well give them the fucking headline."

Just a rant about Travis mischaracterization in sally face (salvis) fanfiction (Please don't take this post too seriously if you are a fanfiction writer I love you and we should just get married <33)

This is mainly about salvis (sal x travis) fanfiction btw and it kinda goes along with a post I made talking about how the fandom treats Travis and I am gonna make a post about the mischaracterization of sal soon as well (I know I am spelling so many words wrong lmao) BEGINNING OF RANT: Why do so many fanfic writers make travis some uwu shy boy?!?!?! I feel like Travis wouldnt be "Shy" when he is trying to be nice I feel like he would just sound agressive when he speaks if that makes sense. Idk why everyone just got the idea that Travis (after the bathroom scene in episode three) would just become shy or quiet. Like he was loud and not shy when he was bullying sal but all of a sudden he become shy and anxious?!?! that makes no sense to me. Also I am not trying to say that you cant write travis like this because in reality he was only in the game for like a few minutes but idk its just something that bugs me for some reason. I dont really care if you see travis like this btw live your truth king (or queen or wtv idrk) I am just saying in most salvis fics I have read travis is always just so....not travis lol. Btw I am not trying to shit on any persons writing because I do see a lot of this mischaracerization (idk if I can even call it that tbh but I cant really think of any other word for it) in peoples writing and I dont wan it to look like I am shitting on their work. I am not a writer but I do know that commiting to writing an entire work based off of one of your intrests takes talent and dedication so I am not trying to sound rude to any of those people because I respect them a lot, I just think it is weird how people see travis after the bathroom scene because when I first played the game I thought he would probably just be more nice ig. OH MYG OD okay hey

shadow s5 as a dynamic is so interesting to me because its very similar yet very VERY different all the same because of exactly who gets changed.

so first on like individual levels heres how i take the shadows ahem clears throat (STINKS that we dont have canon aloarmy but okayyy hinodeya)

shadow rider is canonically a coward, hes nervous and self doubting. hes verrrry exaggerated in the manga so i like to exaggerate him in writing. i think hes more of an incompatible follower who cant get picked by anyone instead of a compatible loner who chose to be alone like normal rider.

shadow army has no canon interp so i interpet them similarly to how eging jr was flipped but in reverse. theyre less organized, they dint fuckin button their shirt right they wear their coat unzipped shitty tie shitty facepaint yk the deal. i also interpret them as more aggresively rebellious where normal army is more of a passive stickler. that basically means they’re more laid back and explicit.

shadow aloha ALSO has no canon. so i interp him as a loooserrr LMAO very sarcastic but very pessimistic, where normal aloha is more of a sarcastic optimist. he comments on shit in the background like hes talkin to someone even tho nobody gives a fuck what he thinks and he doesn’t particularly care about his surroundings. overall just the loser in the corner of a party sitting down holding a drink instead of the main focus.

shadow mask is silly. silly guy. they’re obviouslt exaggerated a LOT in the manga so i like to tone them down just a bit, acting more happy for the sake of being happy instead of high energy. that contrasts masks ideal of being cynical for the sake of being cynical. i think both are sarcastic but on shadow masks side xe doesn’t mean it, and they come off as insincere, explaining how their excitement at the battle felt like excessive overkill despite it not being so.

shadow skull is very similar to normal skull in expressiveness, but is different in awareness. i think shadow skull is very aware of his surroundings but not very emotionally empathetic. i think what he lacks in empathy is made up for in his directness.

shadow s5 is interesting because it pretty much completely throws the social dynamic of s5. normal s5 is 1 extrovert 1 ambivert 3 introverts, and instead of shadow s5 being 4 extroverts 1 ambivert 1 introvert, shadow s5 is ACTUALLY 2 extroverts 3 introverts. which makes it even more interesting because of just how much more balanced it makes their social interactions split into duos.

for example shadow raimask is very chill since they both share a similar mindset, where shadow raimask is chaos because they have directly oppising mindsets. on the flip side shadow alomask is direct opposites, and normal alsomask is ALSO direct opposites but swapped over. i could talk about it for a while but i think i would start rambling like a crazy person. i like the idea of shadow s5 in a more casual light instead of the manga’s exaggerated one. it would give more insight to their personalities and interactions but we cant have Anything can we bcz hindodeya haaaates meeeeee.

Okay so! I wanted to know your opinion about this because idk what to think.

So in ep10, in the fight scene, Ray is pretty aggresive with Sand and pushes him against the lockers repeatedly (enough to bruise him apparently) and then punches the lockers on Sand's side. Now, when I first saw this I thought this was kinda abusive? maybe that is too strong of a word? maybe just alarming to me but because no one was saying anything I let it go.

Now in this ep, we have the bathtub scene where they acknowledge Ray's temper and the fight and they also acknowledge the bruises Sand had bc of Ray pushing him. and it seems the scene is played for laughs almost? like Sand is like 'haha ow it hurts!' and then Ray is like 'oops sorry ty for putting up with my temper' and it just makes me kinda uncomfortable? imo you can't get physical like this and idk, no one is mentioning it and I feel like I am exaggerating maybe?

I think i am exaggerating but idk it rubs me the wrong way sigh

helloooo! so first of all, i don't care about bringing discourse lmao, one thing about me is i will talk about whatever i want, and i think this is actually an incredibly important discussion to have, especially as someone that does strongly want sandray to end up together for a plethora of reasons. and like i can joke about the "i hope they bite each others dicks off" thing all day long and while that is fun, that's not actually what keeps me invested in sandray or makes me root for them. and i absolutely do not think you're exaggerating because i totally get feeling uncomfortable with the way they joked about it and how it was glossed over - everyone has a different relationship with that kind of stuff.

here's my thing. sand and ray have always been aggressive with one another. and yes, when i say that i mean sand AND ray. i was actually talking to antania about this the other day, because even though i'd never seen anything about it, apparently people HAVE been talking about the fact that ray tends to get aggressive with sand. and it's not like i think it's bad to discuss those things because again, it's a good discussion to have - it's just that sand has always been aggressive right back. ray has knocked sand on his ass, but sand did the same thing to ray. the only time sand DIDN'T fight back was in ep10, and that was because at that point, he felt like he deserved it for what he'd done. is that actually true? absolutely not, especially since we know that sand gave the money back. however, it is why he didn't fight back when otherwise we know he would.

and while we can get into whether or not them being aggressive with one another is okay or not, i do think it's important to point out that that's really not their issue. sure, if they continue to get physical with one another whenever they have a fight, that's not good, but neither is a lot of the way that ray has treated sand. which really brings me to my main point - i think while it's not a bad thing to be uncomfortable with the way they brushed over the physical violence, you also have to be uncomfortable with the way every other conflict they've had has been brushed over. because this is really just another thing that ray has done wrong by sand. and this is not a dig at you by any means, nonnie, and people HAVE complained about these things in the past. i do just think it's important to address the fact that way more people have an aversion to physical abuse than they do to emotional abuse when the thing is - they are just as bad as each other. they both leave you with scars, whether mental or physical, and neither of them is good to endure in a relationship.

but i think the important thing to draw from that conversation is that ray not only apologized, but promised to listen next time. does that mean that's definitely what's going to happen? no, not at all. i'm sure he'll have slip ups and continue to fuck up - i mean we already see him going about the boeing situation in probably the worst way possible instead of just talking to sand. the point, though, is that he's trying. ray is in therapy, he's in rehab, he is actively trying to change for sand. and we already see him making great strides! no, not everything's solved, no he's not doing everything perfectly, but he's trying and it takes time. he'll get there.

also, when it comes to them joking about it, i honestly get it. yes, it's a serious thing and not everyone's comfortable joking about that stuff, but for some people that's how they deal with things (speaking from experience here lmao). not to mention, there's not really a whole lot either of them can say in a serious way - ray apologized, he promised to do better, he's actively trying to. why beat a dead horse?

and we can argue about whether or not he deserves the chance that sand's giving him or not, but at the end of the day, it is up to sand, and sand has clearly decided that the love and happiness ray gives him outweighs whatever slip ups ray might take on his way to getting better.

Okay so here is my draft I saved once but I was scared to publish before and my elaboration to my previous post that no, I don't headcanon Demi Fiend as violent without a reason person who just kill everyone left and right, sorry if it might be a little harsh, I was kinda pissed when I wrote this because I saw bad (in my opinion) reddit take on him haha

(and Nocturne fandom please don't slaughter me for this 😭 it's only my opinon!)

Okay idk if it's something wrong with me and my autistic brain didn't fully understand the concept of SMT Nocturne the first time I played it or is Demi-Fiend actually the most misunderstood by fandom megaten protagonist?

Like I read the reddit thread today (edit: at the time I was written that draft for the 1st time) about what do you think would happen if SMT and Persona protags had a chance to meet (like not fight, just meet and be able to talk) and almost everyone were like "oh Demi Fiend would kill everyone on first sight for breathing the same air as him" and also in other fan media like in fan fiction or some fan comics I often see him, both in his Demi Fiend form but even sometimes in his human Naoki Kashima form, being described as an extremely violent or aggresive guy?

And I genuinely think I'm insane because I feel like I'm the only person in megaten fandom who doesn't perceive him that way at all?

Like for me Demi Fiend is actually more like this large dog - yes, he looks scary, yes if provoked he can and will harm you but actually he would most likely to leave you alone if you had no intention to fight him?

Like unpopular opinion but I think V-kun/Nahobino has actually more potential to be a violent or dangerous rather than Naoki himself

Like in the game we can see that Naoki seems to be very guillible boy, highly intelligent in logic and math things but having a complete lack of awarness in social situations (I actually headcanon him as autistic because he shown a lot of characteristics of person in the spectrum imo and maybe that's why I can relate to him so much lmao) . But not really violent in nature. Like imo he is shown in the game many times he had a soft side - like the way he treated Pixie or Manikins (like for example, if he really was as violent as fandom describes him, he would probably kill the Mainikin kid on the spot for magatama instead of actually complying to his terms and taking an effort to solve that damn puzzle boy game)

And also I feel like many people forget that actually almost everything that happened in Nocturne (maybe besides the ending stuff) wasn't Demi Fiend's choice at all? Like he wasn't given a choice when Lucifer showed the bug down his throat, he was manipulated by Hiriji to work for him, got used by Isamu and Chiaki as well, then he was also tricked into Lucifer's little Menorah Fight Club as well and only was told a truth when Lucifer already taken the last bit of humanity he had (although I have a theory he might have been not 100% succesful since even after being locked in TDE I noticed some dialogue choices implying that perhaps something "humane" still stayed in him even after technically getting rid of human's soul)? Like literally almost everything wasn't his concious choice, in contrary to V-kun/Nahobino for example where almost every choice in SMT V was his own, concious decisions he had made - so yeah, that's why I think V-kun might have more violent tendencies in himself than Naoki, even if that seems surprising.

I'm not saying he's 100% the saint, but also I think his character is really flattened to only being this "violent, punching everyone around him demon boy" and misunderstood by fandom imo (or it's just me, maybe I didn't understand SMT Nocturne's message or something or maybe I just have a blorbo bias idk🤷‍♀️)

So yeah TLDR: Maybe I'm insane but I'm gonna defend this boy until the day I die, give him a break lol

Osomatsu is intimated, but he certainly is not turned off by your aggressive loving. Kinda a “damn you’re hot like this why aren’t you like this more often?” But he’s joking. Or is he.

Karamatsu is nervous with your weird death threats, he isn’t used to it. But he will handle it, he loves you after all. “Kara if you don’t stop with the cool guy bullshit I will kiss you until you suffocate” “alright honey.”

Choromatsu would be so scared lmao he loves you but holy shit LOL. And he’s so awkward he just gets into a stuttery mess about it he does not know what to say man.

Ichimatsu gets kinda embarrassed by it? Not in a bad way he’s just flustered by it? He deals with it, but doesn’t take you seriously cause your drunk.

Jyushimatsu deals with it, you deal with him when he’s drunk so whatever! It’s 50/50 fair! He plays along and amuses you by telling you he will also kiss you till you die.

Todomatsu doesn’t care much but he’s so overdramatic and will definitely tease you about it the next morning.

towards jamil and vil's chapter yuu starts to kinda willingly interact w/ the blot and stuff. this is around the time they start seeing the blot as a good thing.

the blot's psychological effects also include decreased empathy for others, which is why yuu kinda just goes batshit at the end. at least in my personal theory idk bro yuu almost got killed by like 6 mfs in total rn just saying.

since yuu can't use magic, they therefore can't use magic gems to get rid of/contain blot lest it gets aggresive. to counter this, yuu's body kind of acts as the magic gem, except for the fact that yuu is very much alive and the blot effect is substantially worse bc of that-

yuu's inability to use magic makes the blot less potent, but much more effective in a way. the fact that they can't use magic makes it so the blot spreads much much slower, but in a way, that lets it fester every time yuu thinks abt their developing inferiority complex. they need to live up to a lot, and so the blot starts to compensate for it.

the blot that yuu's infected w/ is pure, ubfiltered blot from other people, making it much, much, more potent than an another overblot. also a lot harder to deal with, and really fucking scary to try and fight. they basically are the goddamn blot now bestie. crowley shits himself challenge canon.

also considering it now it may give them a mild identity crisis bc the blot probably has a personal touch. it seems to be based off mental health status as well as overuse of magic, so i'd imagine each type of blot from each person has a personal problem involved. those personal problems kinda just seep into their brain and become yuu's personal problems. yk? idk bro this one's new most of these are copy/pasted off disc-

when yuu ends up (kinda? technically???) overblotting, this is because their body is basically pure inky blot at this point. i mean like every cell has been replaced w/ blot and they can shape it and form it however they want. this means they can stretch themselves across miles, grow out tendrils, fill a pool with blot by suddenly like melting, and just do whatever tf they want lmao. again, their body acts as the gem to compensate for the lack of one.

yuu's appearence changes w/ each overblot infection. at first it's just one of their hands that's kinda just pure black and starting to form claws. they wear gloves for reasons later on. over time though, it starts to spread to more limbs and parts of their body. their hair starts to turn black in some strands by the end, and their eyes are a similar colour. they look like they're melting when it finally takes over wholly. they do have some control over this tho, they can kinda change their colours to hide concern/keep it under wraps if needed. they want to keep this, if it's lost? well, there goes their chance of surviving here alone.

crowley tells yuu that the very obvious thing to worry abt is nothing to worry abt bc they can't use magic and so the blot can't infect them. he is confident abt this. he now considers resignation as nrc gets fucked (/j yk he won't resign. he does shit himself tho).

Shinjuro is like a cat with rabies i swear

i can just imagine the pure shock on their faces upon receiving any sort of love from him after so long of just… well you know. kyojuro especially hardly knows how to react, and honestly is probably barely holding back tears and that makes me so saddd. he’s so happy with the smallest scraps of affection from his father. i feel like kyojuro almost dying is a perfect wake up call for shinjuro to realize that be very well has so much more to lose.

i have this vivid image in my mind of kyojuro barely able to look his father in the eye after the mugen train incident, head bowed in shame for surviving and letting akaza get away— for not giving his life for the cause, and shinjuro tells him to never talk like that again.

There are so many cool bugs here but I have a soft spot for hymenopterans and especially bald-faced hornets. People always talk about how aggresive and mean they are but they're big sweethearts lmao. I can chase them around the yard and shove my macro lens in their face and they straight up do not care.

I just wish I saw them more often so I could take more pictures! This one is from 5 years ago.

A funny or cool bug story

When I was little my dad and aunt took me and my cousins to this butterfly house. I can't remember where it was but it was basically an indoor garden with lots of butterflies flying around and they had tons of flowers and stuff.

Well, I was wearing a hat with a flower on it. I REALLY wanted to hold the butterflies and have them land on my hands but they kept landing on my hat instead (they saw the flower) so I got really frustrated and started bawling my eyes out.

My dad had to explain to my aunt that I was upset that the butterflies were landing on the flower on my hat and I couldn't see them. 😂

BONUS STORY

Another time (I can't remember where we were living) my mom was on a phone call out on the patio and it was late in the evening, so I went outside to look for bugs by the patio light.

I found a huge praying mantis and I thought it was cool as hell so I picked it up. Well, it didn't want to be on my hands, so it started flying. Landed directly on my head. I started freaking out because I couldn't see where it was and I was like "Mama help! Get it off!"

She just turned and looked at me, sighed, and went "Hold on I'll call you back" and then hung up the phone to come get it off my head.

Before we get into this, I need to shill the hell out of Nine Rules To Break When Romancing A Rake by Sarah McLean! THIS is what RMB should have been although Callie and Ralston are MILES ahead of Book!Polin. The vibes of a fat girl gaining confidence through life experience and her "friend" helping her through it is IMMACULATE. So I would recommend reading that instead of RMB!

Anyways let's get into this ask! I will say it caught me off guard lmao because I am the last person who would be asked this.

That being said, yes I have read! January 2021 was a time for most of Bton fans I feel cos most of read the books after we liked what we saw in S1 (minus Daph assaulting Simon) and were curious about the books esp of the characters we adored!

I was so lucky that I loved Ben and Ant (he's a shithead but he's my shithead and also I love all fictional Eldest Siblings - they are me and I am them) so I binge read the series and fell in love with Kathony and Benophie.

Because I always finish what I start (though I have not finished the series 💀 thanks Philoise for being so shit), I went on to read RMB after Kathony and Benophie's books even though I didn't really care for them in the show. I really thought Colin and Marina would be endgame!

This is so funny you asked because recently I did come across my Goodreads review of RMB the first and last time I ever read it. Apparently 22 year old me liked it?? Which I cannot fathom now. Then again I have read so many other HR books now and all vastly different, by better authors too.

It's a nice book but ultimately pretty forgettable. I cannot tell you any key moments that stood out or the full plot.

Book Spoilers Ahead!

I just remember vaguely Lady Danbury does a bet to uncover LW and Cressida pretends its her?? I think??

Then one scene I remember - only because my friends and I are on a mission to find better and hotters versions in other HR books - is their carriage scene where Colins only grabs a single tit of hers 😂 So now we call him One Tit Colin

I would say it's a simple book, good for people just starting HR. However, it's not the best in the series like the Polins like to hype it. It's a bit boring because JQ tried to make them fairytale perfect and it did not work. It's not a Disney movie, Julia, it's HR and there needs to be substantial conflicts and hotness!

As for the aggressive bit, yeah I did not like how he emotionally abusive to Pen for most of the book especially after he finds out she's LW. Then in one scene gets so jealous, he grabs and bruises her, thus becoming physically abusive. Definitely did not like that.

Also their dynamics felt off to me upon reflection, they never ever get onto equal standing. Like yes, most HR books have that Regency-misogynistic gap in the beginning that tilts the power to the Hero initially but the couple always ends up equal in the end. That never happens with these two and it's just really weird.

Other than that, it's an okay book. Not awful but not great either. It's just overhyped in my opinion.

There are more points to be made but they all come from the brilliant Triv @hptriviachamp and I share the opinions too! She wants to add on to this and is definitely better for it since she has read RMB more recently than I have! (She also has alot more thoughts on the aggressive bit of your ask!)
