I've been rewatching the first two seasons of The Bear so I can watch the third season that just came out and man the character writing in this show makes me froth at the mouth it's like some of the best arcs I've ever seen in a TV series

#little infodump in the tags bc no one I know is watching this show so I need to spill all my thoughts somewhere LOL #Richie is my favorite he makes me go ballistic especially in the episode Forks #just rewatched that episode and it always makes me cry when he has his moment where he finally Gets it #he's such a shit stain of a guy I would probably hate him if I knew him in real life lmfao but as a character he is so fantastically writte #I also really love Marcus but he hasn't had as big of a development as Richie has #Sydney is awesome but she's. so much like me in the way where I cringe at her sometimes LMAO #when she's acting super sarcastic and holier than thou I can't look directly at it it's too much like me when I'm at my worst DHF;LKDFH #god I hope Marcus and Sydney get together they are so cute #unusually good chemistry for a straight ship LOL /hj #I also love Tina but my only complaint with her is that I kinda wish her arc in the first season took a little more time #bc she started off as a real asshole just like all the characters did but she had a much more sudden switch #but I guess it makes sense for her now that I think about it bc she's shown to be a very sweet and compassionate person #it's just that she doesn't trust Sydney at first so once she gets over that then she's sweet with her too #excited to learn more about Ebra he reminds me a lot of an old coworker #also obvs no spoilers for season 3 please I haven't got there yet #lyla's talking again

#movies film cinema #zero day #ben coccio #I actually talked to the director on Facebook super nice guy and he told #me a lot about the filmmaking process and even helped me with tips on directing non-actors and new actors #I remember him telling me to always be supportive and tell your new actors they're doing a good job even if they aren't in the first take #cause you can instill confidence and still reshape and change their choices and mistakes later #Sometimes I'd message him for advice when I was running into problems on some of my early projects #he told me once ''did ya choose to collaborate with this actor cause you were lonely or you guys had passion and chemistry''#“collaborating is like a relationship” and he was so right #there's nothing worse than working with people you disdain cause there's no communication and no trust.#he told me how he wrote the first couple of drafts of Place Beyond the Pines but his take on the 3rd act wasn't clicking for the director #so he took the script and went and had another writer rewrite the 3rd act but he liked the process cause he learned a lot and still got pai #but I'd still like to see Ben Coccio's take on Place Beyond The Pines he says the 1st and 2nd act are mostly unchanged #Ryan Gosling's scenes are still mostly the same he said but he couldn't tell me too much cause of the NDA he signed #The bloopers of Zero Day are hilarious his tip he gave me about being supportive #“This is actually great but can we-” and Cal interrupts him “He says that no matter what if you're doing good or bad!” and everyone lols #I hope I can make it and ask him to collab with me on a script #He's such a nice dude compared to the harrowing film he made.#I wish there was BTS but he had only one tape to film on and this was made when digital camcorders were infants #I think he had only one 2 hour tape that's how low budget #The bloopers is just Cal or Andre secretly filming and Ben getting annoyed “Is it recording?” and Cal going “Nah..."#Cal is such a funny guy IRL I wanna see him act more cause he's so good. He was so great at playing a sadistic psychopath in this.#the final shooting is so harrowing and disturbing #I told Ben he srsly gut punched me/disturbed me and this is what made him really open up.

so decided to rewatch daredevil s2 and actually watch the punisher s1 for the first time because i seriously miss netflix!marvel and i was borderline feral for karen/frank back in the day

Just got given a run-down of basic stuff about atoms and my head is spinning. I was always told they were the smallest thing, and I didn’t really understand what protons, neutrons or electrons were, but now it’s like.. there are even smaller things called quarks, and atom bits n pieces are made of them.. except electrons which aren’t made of anything and are just themselves and nothing else.. I really missed out on some crazy stuff by dropping out of high school in year 10 to get an art diploma

#I’m really lucky my bf studied chemistry at uni because I have an introductory biology class and they went hard into atom shit in week 2 #and I was sitting there so lost in the lecture like. I am so sorry but I do not know this creature. she is not familiar to me #but now I feel like the atom is like a brother to me #my bf should be a teacher honestly. he’s so patient and always knows exactly the right way to explain something to me #he asked me what my favourite compounds are and got me to draw up little sketches of the atoms I’d need to make them #and how they would fit together #it feels good to learn something that has eluded me for a long time.
