Randomly I decided I was interested in corduroy clothes like 6 months ago and suddenly I'm seeing them everywhere...... Is this a new thing, did a bunch of us decide corduroy is back in all of a sudden?? Literally I'm seeing it at Walmart when 6 months ago I couldn't find anything corduroy for under $30

I feel like one could make the argument that Butler is in some ways less naturally** socially adroit than Artemis lol. At least, based on the fact that in the first book, Butler offhandedly goes, "Yeah, Young Master Artemis is basically a younger brother/best friend" before proceeding to then be grandfathered into every future friendship he gets into in the series by virtue of Artemis going all-in with becoming a constant (non-threatening) thorn in the People's side.

It seems "being raised as a child soldier" trumps "neurodivergent, old money child nightmare that never had to learn to play nice with people his age".

I mean, I don't think Tim or Angeline are particularly more comfortable (regardless of what they project as is required by social niceties and status) interacting in a non-business context with strangers for a long period of time.

Honestly, I think if you were to strip away Artemis' intelligence and the fact he has no qualms about making it known when a situation annoys him, he's not that much different, disposition-wise, than the rest of the human characters, regardless of what Colfer's narration comedically suggests sometimes.

Life lately. Summer turned to fall; I finally figured out how to dress myself; I decided to give Olympic lifting another shot, and, perhaps best of all, the Stelara is absolutely working, and, as a consequence of that, I have been able to rediscover the absolute joy that is taco salad 🤣

Seriously though, it was yet another instance where I didn’t realize how sick I really have been the last couple years until I started feeling really bad the last two weeks after having about a month and a half where I even forgot I was sick to begin with. But then I started having respiratory and sinus issues, diarrhea, stomach pains, and needing to take 1-3 naps a day. And the fucking shoulder pain came back 😩 At first I just thought I was just getting sick because preschool, lol, but everyone else in my house was fine and then realized I was due for another Stelara injection on Monday. Was too sick on Sunday morning to wait until Monday, so I took it then, and woke up on Monday feeing awesome. Tuesday was rough; I just had no energy and my sinuses were a mess, but I have felt great ever since.

Life Update: my screen tablet stopped powering on mysteriously yesterday, and I suspect the power cord to be the culprit so a replacement is on the way but in the meantime I'm without the ability to do digital art, or use my computer at all for that matter because I use my tablet as a monitor. I miss my puter all my friends are in it. They're in my phone too, which I'm using to post this, but phones just aren't anywhere near as cool as computers you know? Just doesn't feel right. I feel cramped, my digital life is normally housed in four times this space.

I also rebooted my Twitter presence with a new (old, but repurposed) account right before this happened so I've been enjoying seeing some old faces and realizing people still remember me even if I'm gone for a while :'D haha

Anyway if and when I've returned to the computer life I want to post art here again too and just generally be around more. Gonna try and drag myself outta the sinkhole one way or another, bit by bit. Hope you all are well, sorry for how sporadic my appearances have become, and thank you for sticking around ❤️

i live in the most haunted house in the northern hemisphere because i keep buying cursed dolls and cracking them open like pistachios to release the ghosts inside em. see i've got this business idea and it's to unethically harvest their ectoplasm and sell it in little jars like honey. unfortunately i've hit a snag, namely that ectoplasm tastes like shit and also if you ingest it you permanently lose the capacity to feel joy. so now i've got a bunch of unsatisfied customers who are literally impossible to please banging on my door at all hours. it doesn't really matter though because the ghosts are already constantly slamming all my doors and cabinets so it's just a wall of sound in here at all times anyway. i'm pretty sure i've got tinnitus now but on the upside i've got this new business idea where i repair old dolls with kintsugi and sell them at a ridiculous markup to etsy women in cuffed corduroy pants.
