Artist's Comments Been dying to draw Gen since last year <3 I really love Dr. Stone, is such a good serie, the plot is interesting, its cast is great and full of many love-able characters plus such a great art-style with a nice anime adaptation ~ I can't wait for the next season to get adapted!

About my fave characters, goodness I really really really liked Senku since the start of the serie (plus latin spanish adaptation, his VA has such a deep-sexy voice and fits him soooo well). It's the first time (or the first time in a while) since I actually like a protagonist (back then in 2020 when I first watched it). But then, Gen appeared, and he gave Senku a telescope and sang the manganesium song and I went nuts. I couldn't decide which one I liked best, they're both such great characters! I ended up being a bit more fond of Gen, he's such a homie, he deserves the best... well they all do. So, here you go, have my Mentalist's tribute ~ I hope I get to draw more dcst in the future :D

still thinking abt a post i saw a few days ago that was an old 2014 destiel post and it was you know all-caps enthusiastic (which is FINE) and it was comparing destiel to other “actual” tv bromances to show that destiel was NOT a bromance but a legit romance (which it WAS i know) but a couple of the example “bromances” were: troy and abed (community). turk and JD (scrubs). shawn and gus (psych). and i was like 🤔 ok…genre and ultimate canon outcomes aside…what ELSE do all three of those “bromances” have in common… 🤔🤔

#when i was younger i thought it was so weird that ppl didn’t ship turk and JD as hard as was clearly possible #and i was like ‘🤔 it couldn’t be because turk is Black…right?’#(this was like. 2003)#but now i absolutely think that was the case #i think there has been some #some improvement here in that there are more ships with POC characters and more shippers for them #(see: sambucky)#but when i was in the hardcore community fandom while it was still airing #no one shipped it #(trobed that is)#(no one being a hyperbole but not a huge one)#it always bothered me but i never said anything because i was a coward. i’m sorry #trobed #shawn x gus #turk x jd #anyway shipper culture has for a long time explicitly ignored characters of color and Black characters in particular!#and it’s getting better but has a long way to come!#btw if castiel and dean ever sang a ‘somewhere out there’ duet to save a rat? this website would explode #and trobed will always have that 💜 thank you for coming to my TED tags #editing to add that i think even within current ships with characters of color those shippers are not immune to being racist themselves!
