ok,,,, this is gonna sound rlly arrogant but here we go. a few monthsssss ago i decided to Put Effort into reaching out to authors more and interacting with the community, cause i figured that was one of the best ways to both motivate myself to write and just kinda generally be more active on this blog, thus encouraging the kind of interaction i desire.

soooo i reached out to two authors who I really admired, whose works i really enjoyed. and BOTH of them responded by telling me that they were huge fans, that they were fangirling bc I'd interacted with them, and that my work was one of the reasons they started posting in the first place. that was....... like holy fuck. the FIRST time was mind-boggling and so flattering; and then the SECOND time i was like well goddamn i must be the best author in this whole community JKSHDBFV im kidding but yeah. they've both become v treasured mutuals so if y'all see this ily those interactions made my goddamn year 🥺

Ok just read your himbo Shinsou and I love it!!!!!!!!! And it honestly feels pretty in character (imo, bare in mind haven't watched past S2 but have read A LOT of Shinsou fic). It makes sense he'd spend his highschool years so focused on becoming a hero to prove he isn't a villain that dating just kinda fell by the wayside! And in turn he has just become oblivious to how to handle romantic attention or what to do with his own romantic feelings.

Like I can just see his internal thought process as he watches you walking with your group of friends 'she cool. And I wanna hang out with her. But how do? Oh! That guy mentioned protein powder?!?!? I do use that, I guess that'll work.' walks up to guy and begins convo 'wow......this dude is way too into protein powder. Like unhealthy obsession. The things we do for people we lov- NO! Not love! Cause that'd be weird. I just think she's cool. And fun. And like the most perfect person ever..........fuck............I should probably say something about protein powder again before he thinks I'm stupid..........' he's not loving having to talk to gym bro all the time but like you said, it just gets him into your group enough to hang out with you sometimes so it'll work.

And it'd be funny if when he asked you out you were just like, i kinda thought we were dating anyway......ya know buying my drinks, giving me your jacket, making me walk on the opposite side of the sidewalk away from the road etc.

He'll just be like.....oh yea. That was 100% intentional. Not me not knowing how to articulate my feelings and so just doing everything but telling you how I feel! Not at all!

Also, it'd be hilarious if gym bro's girlfriend totally saw how Shinsou felt about you and would purposefully set up things and then say her and her boyfriend had to leave so you and Shinsou could hang out.

Shinso is so smart and suave, so i feel like himbo-ness is the sorta... the complimentary (?) opposite of that, if you know what I mean (where it’s a good au but not unseeable)... as just like you say, it makes sense for him to be the type to not really pay attention to anything except his goals...

Ahh congrats on your last year !!! Sociology is such an interesting subject !! I took an intro class back in my freshmen year :') Do you know what you want to do career-wise??

I major in math education !! I finished my 4th year, but this fall, I'm doing my fellowship for student teaching :D I'll be done with my graduate program at the end of the year !! We've been online since February of 2019 :/ I think my class this semester will be hybrid, but student teaching will be all in person !! I'm highkey nervous for that lol. But I think work this summer has been preparing me for what's to come. I haven't been in a classroom in over a year :/

Ahh maybe Mingyu can play a bigger part in this hMmMm. You're right that Soonyoung is very sweet to mc, even when she rejects him with every attempt. I wanna see Soonyoung mad !!!! I really do !!!!! That's kinda hot. He could probably sense their relationship slipping away the more time she spends with Mingyu (although she doesn't mean to do it on purpose!).

I definitely see Soonyoung as the jealous/petty type. He probably overthinks a lot despite how confident he is, but he won't share his feelings with anyone ! Most people see him as the perfect dude, basically the house heart throb / golden player of the quidditch team. He'll be damned if anyone finds out he has these insecurities, and he'd be absolutely f*cked if he has to ask anyone for help 😭 A part of him questions whether mc likes him or his actions. Is it the affection that she adores?? He'd drop almost anything for her, but what would she do for him? It's frustrating to read all these mixed signals, and he's not great at reading between the lines :-(
