"too bad you woke up early this morning we had long training and we have early training tomorrow you need to go to bed now" she said as you pouted knowing she was right but you didn't wanna miss out on the fun

"But everyone is gonna have fun without me" you said sadly which made Caitlin feel bad for you. She knew in the under 16's camp you came from to join the senior team everyone always left you out because you were too outgoing for them to handle but that's how everyone here loved you.

"I promise they're not" she said rubbing her thumb over your hand "cmon we'll quickly stop past and see them all, they're in the main room" she said changing direction to head to the new destination.

"Ayeeee it's our baby" macca called as soon as you and caity entered the chill room where the whole team was sat

"M not a baby" everyone heard you grumbled while you attempted to glare at her but it didn't give that effect and everyone tried not to laugh at you knowing that you were tired and your emotions would be all over the place right now.

“get changed then it’s time for bed” she said as soon as the four of you made it back to your room and all of you nodded while you went to the bathroom to get changed first.

pulled this off the reddit. incredibly interesting that Caiti only looked like a liar about certain topics she *checks notes* lied about. and George was correcting small details about the night. And Caiti has already addressed and adapted her story to fit those details. It is incredibly bizarre to me that they're moving like the group chat Dream was in was a sacred and secret place where nothing from it could get exposed only things that were from her side. Caiti also said she was planning to release her own messages in the event George denied everything which he didn't do... so this whole thing is getting really weird

Before I answer more asks I want to say my stance(???) on this whole thing

I hope caiti finds peace, I don’t condone what George did but I don’t think he’s a monster.. I believe in second chances and from talking to other people irl even if what he did was really bad and makes my skin kinda crawl from what we know they were both comfy at the time and so George still should have been more careful but I believe that if he fully takes responsibility, if he takes the necessary steps starting by apologizing fully privately and or publicly (which he kinda did ig? But it’s caiti’s decision to accept or not) he can change to be a better person

I’m not really sure what to think of other things people brought up about his past chats or jokes as I never really tuned into streams that much so

As to dream, I feel bad. I don’t think he’s a perfect person or a saint of a man (and even if Twitter doesn’t want to admit it they’ve been putting all these men on such a high pedastool that if they show one sign of imperfection as seen on twitter’s chronically online eyes it’s seen as a betrayal or a monsterous thing whatever it might actually be) but I feel he’s been quite sincere this whole situation and is pretty innocent it’s just horrible he got caught up in this and all the attention was focused on him instead of the victims of the situation hope he finds peace as well and the world learn to treat him with the kindness and respect he tries to give to this world

As to dteam friends, I hope they all find peace this must be WAYY harder for them to process as their friendships are so closely related to their image, career, money and connections in the industry (which is… wow toxic af) I don’t blame any of them for acting this way (especially if ur a woman in this industry gawd damn 😭😭) must be hard to be a creator

So what about me what am I gonna do (not related to art) I’m probably gonna be less attached to the fandom, as I showed I have impulsive tendencies and get attached to things really easily and SO deeply which is unhealthy to probably do on men that I don’t know (with twt amplifying it sweats) so I think I’m gonna take a back step on Dnf and dteam as a whole but still in the fandom (probably just from a distance tho) so ig it’s just I won’t make content only for the fandom but will sometimes! I still want to see those Dnf posts haha

If anyone wants to talk about this stance (questions comments etc whatever) feel free to ask! It might help me accept my peace

It’s been a week since Dragon Con, and I miss this guy so much! He made my first time at Dragon Con a memorable one. I get in his line the first day there, and he stops talking to the people in the front and says “Hey man, it’s you!”. He then tells the people “Sorry, I’ve known this guy for a long time, and I wanted to say hi to him”. I finally get to the front of the line, and he says we have stuff to talk about which is referring to the video chat we did about a month before. I love that he always remembers our conversations. The next day I do the mini Legends group photo op and he stops and introduces Caity and Adam to me. Of course the photo op must keep going. The last day he is there, I go to see him. As I give him my phone to take selfies, he says “Let’s do this, baby!” All I can say about that is I was screaming internally. We talk for about 10 minutes, and we talk about how we miss our dogs. That’s when he asks me for a hug. Again, I’m screaming in the inside. I tell him I will see later that day for the photo ops. Fast forward, and it’s my turn for the photo op. His face lights up and he just comes up and hugs me. My lord I can get use to those hugs. We take the photo, and then he asks me to come back to his booth to say bye since we are both leaving after that. At his booth, I have him sign the last photo that we did. We talk a bit, and he gives me few more hugs. I love this man so fucking much! Also sorry for the long post!

caitlyn tapped her pen against the bars railings. she was in the process of writing a new song, or trying to at least. she was debating going over to the piano to try and work on a tune but her train of thought was interrupted by penny’s words.

“if you want a share of the tip pot you’ll have to help me wipe down these counters” she spoke, tossing cait a spray bottle and a cloth.

sighing, she sprung into action, cleaning the sticky beer residue off the wooden counter tops and gently humming a tune to an unfinished song.

the bar was practically empty, only a few early patrons milling around waiting for the crowds to come flooding in. the godforsaken crowds. filled with fresh aviators ready to go on their first deployment.

she spent the next hour doing odd jobs for penny, restocking the bottles, checking the celler and dusting the piano even though it was never out of use long to collect dust between cait's song writing and the playing of popular naval anthems.

the bell rang on the door as 7 or 8 fresh faced aviators strutted through the entrance, joshing around and hitting each other in the arm playfully.

"oh god," cait complained, throwing her head back in protest, penny remarked some comment about how the aviators were her new best friends.

however through the crowd, a familiar face spotted cait as the bar. "hey stranger!" he called, pushing his way past the men.

"bradley!" cait excitedly shrieked, leaving the middle of the bar to throw her arms around him. she slapped his chest, "i missed you!"

he laughed at her, "i've missed you too caitie." the pair had grown up together, bradley occasionally babysitting cait, despite their small age difference. she was there for him when his mom died, when pete pulled his papers and he was there for her when her dad walked out, leaving cait and her mom alone.

she stroked his face, "what's with this mustache? i am not okay with this!" she giggled. although she was enjoying catching up with bradley, she could feel the eyes of his friends on her, on her body. "well, introduced me to your squadron!"

he went through the names, introducing each member as his friend, she could see their toxic masculinity practically seeping through their pores. cait took their orders and walked back to the bar, collecting the various drinks and arranging them on the tray.

when she looked over to group, she saw bradley harshly scolding "berlin”, one of the younger pilots, shaking his head in disapproval. she hoped that whatever dispute was going on between the two wouldn’t affect their deployment.

she made her way over to the table and she set the drinks down pushing them towards their respective owners.

“so we’re good enough to fight for your ass, but not touch it?” berlin spoke up, striking silence into the other men. clearly bradley had told them her ‘no military men’ rule.

“excuse me?” cait challenged, raising her eyebrow. she decided instead of causing a scene to just walk away.

rolling her eyes, she worked on serving other customers, making small talk and chatting with them about their day. she uncapped beer bottles and stuffed the lids in her pocket, a habit she had picked up from her first night, now, at home she had a small collection.

her heeled boots clicked along the floor as she made her way to the back, penny suggested a few minutes break to cool off and to drink some glucose gel to raise her blood sugar. dealing with diabetes was hard but it was that much when some man tried to hit on her.

after a few minutes she had calmed down and was ready to serve again, she led the storage room to find “hangman” standing at the bar.

“i just want to apologise for our friend,” he said, “he’s a bit… my names jake, what’s yours?” he offered his hand out to cait, almost as a peace offering. she turned the other way walking to the opposite side of the bar, but jake was relentless.

“don’t think i don’t know your type.” he stated bluntly.

“my type?” cait asked, genuinely interested as to what group this man would brand her into.

“yeah, the girl who drives a lexus and probably has a million different flags hanging from her windowsill in support, but when it actually comes down to fighting for those groups, you’re no where to be seen! cause ‘guns and bombs are mean’ and you’re a pacifist”

“i’m sorry do you have a phd in mansplaining?”

“i guess it’s our job to fight for you!” he cut her off, “you know what i bet you even have a little peace dove tattooed on your back!”

“actually it’s on my ass, which you can’t touch but you can kiss!” she argued, walking off yet again to the other side of the bar to escape him.

jake looked over to the group and saw them mimicking explosions and laughing at him.

I was gonna try and collect my thoughts coherently before I started talking bu ti cant be bothered doing that so like. about the dream and that one circle of mcyt that just fucking hate them .

actually this is about how I have felt observing the dream space recently.

im uncomfortable?? not with the dream team, I still really love them and I enjoy their content and I do still watch sap naps streams if im awake for them but honestly taking time just to spend time on my f1 blog has been like a weight lifted from my shoulders.

just talking about dtblr, ive seen people trying to make the best of the situation by live-blogging sapnaps streams making jokes spreading positivity for all 3 of them but it doesn't really of much to take away from the pressure of the situation. Every day it seems like some cc somewhere has something to say about dream or George or sapnap and every day we rush over here to discuss it. it almost feels like theres this pressure to perform and to respond to what is being said, we need to discuss everything as a controversy no matter how stupid or insignificant the situation is and we contribute to the snowballing of tiny things that honestly dont need the attention the theyre getting and its tiring to watch. like im at the point where im scrolling past 'did you see what x said' because honestly I dont give a shit I dont give a shit about a cc who spoke to the dteam on discord maybe twice talking about their 'truth' I really dont care .

im genuinely just fed up with the way the creator space and fan spaces behave. Dream posts 'pls talk to me' and creators say 'but that won't get me clout' back to him.

who gives a shit if dreams stole punz girlfriend. who cares if dream sent a dm that might have been considered rude to Sara Simons a fully grown ducking middle aged woman with better things to do than start twitter drama. who gives a shit about sniff having one insignificant negative interaction with dream over a year. none f this is your fucking turret its just airing out high school level petty drama that could easily be fixed with a fucking dm . its pathetic. the way so many creators are going 'I too am a victim' and its 'he sent me a private message I didnt like' who fucking cares. and all of this 'ill stream explaining my story' what story. that he made a joke in bad taste. its performative. they want views they want twitters support they want to seem like theyre on the RIGHT side so theyre just pulling any old story out of their ass to add to the mentality of the mob and make it seem like yes I too hate dream because he is so awful when in reality he was probably just a bit of a twat like a lot of guys in their early 20s are . the only way hes gonna know that he did something that made u annoyed or upset or even mildly fucking miffed in the case of Sara fucking Simons is if you tell him. and we saw that bc 5 mins later shes saying oh its all fine he messaged me . see how fucking easy it is to actually fix these tiny ass issues if you actually have a conversation before launching a hate campaign on twitter dot com . and people going off to run with it and add it to the pile of 'poof' they have. hell ive seen someone saying they appreciate dream saying they want to talk about situations and saying they want to chat with him about an experience they had with one of his friends like what does that have to do with dream actually why not just take the initiative and talk to the actual person involved instead of making dream do it for u. its all just drama mongering

on a more serious note I really dont know how to feel with the whole situation with caiti. George didi fuck up and im not moving from that stance- whatever happened he made her feel uncomfortable and went on the defence instead of prioritising apologising to her for the way she felt about the situation.

what I cat fucking stand is how weirdly this situation has evolved. the initial statement was that he had touched her waist and tickled her and cat didnt like that. THAT CONTACT the touching of her waist was spread across twitter as a sexual assault. which its fucking not and it pisses me off as a victim to see how loosely terms of sex crime are being thrown around bc no matter how uncomfy you are touching your waist is not a sex crime. there was no mention of inappropriate touching actually, just that he had crossed a physical boundary with her and ive already talked about why I can empathise with that delayed reaction in feeling deeply uncomfortable with the situation . so it confused me as to why people on tiktok were spreading misinformation that his hands were down her pants and cat coming out of left field with he was grabbing my tits. because none of that was ever discussed in any of her prior statement and that seems like pertinent information when were discussing sexual assault. and from what ive seen her friends timeline of events dont match up with hers. her timeline of events onset even match up that well with her other comments on the situation and all of it just feels so fucking odd. why do the details change depending on who you ask and when you ask them

but I wasn't there. I dont know what actually happened. having experienced it you automatically hold that understanding towards her despite all the backlash because people blamed me too, they didnt believe me either and you never want to completely dismiss it no matter how weird the story seems because what if. keeping myself in the situation is stretching myself in two different directions where one is dismissing the claims of assault because nothing adds up and the other is she might be like me .

the reaction to caitis initial statement has snowballed extremely out of proportion if u ask me. nobody needs to know everyones personal grievances with dream or George or sapnap and to say that youre sharing these to support victims is a straight lie bc it has nothing to do with victims they receive nothing from your story that he made a bad joke 3 years ago or whatever and everything to do with the fact that you are utilising an opportunity to gain relevancy again and I dont want to partake in their relevancy.

I dont want to partake in any of this fucking drama actually. it's non stop. it's constant. its all over my dash all day every day but maybe its just the ppl im following idc. but I dont want to come back into a community where im going to find myself fighting to justify why I still enjoy the content of some creators while there are other creators receiving less vitriol for breaking the literal fucking law . its exhausting . its been years of it for me .

im not mentally well. I have a lot going on in my family life and I didnt realise how bad things were until I told my work friend I hadn't seen in a while my 'family drama' and she and the assistant manager pulled me aside and said 'im so sorry youre going through that right now are you dealing with everything alright?'. I have my final exams within the next month. I need to pass these to graduate. I have so much that is already causing me stress in my life and so much of the misinformation around the situation is so triggering and untagged and I dont want to log on and see another bout of 'x responds to x' 'x talks about dream' 'x shares thoughts on George situation' . I cant fucking do that right now.

people have called it the cowards way out, bailing at the burden of controversy but im not switching sides. im not deactivating. im not becoming a dranti. I still talk about the dteam i still like the dteam but I cannot force myself to endure other peoples stresses at the time being . thats all ive been thinking about rlly .

i just finished george's second response, and i can say for sure it's better. probably not perfect, but better.

he apologized consistently throughout, speaking directly to caiti as he did. he acknowledged that he messed up and promised to do better. he cleared up things he had gotten wrong in his first response and shared how his perspective had been changed with caiti's tweets. he used evidence to show how he thought he was right at the time, including the "over 21" wristbands and his chat with her including her age. and he validated caiti's feelings and expressed how he didn't want to diminish them.

i'm glad he did. thats what i was waiting for: an apology. i just hope he can show that he's using this experience to regulate how he acts with other ccs and non-ccs in the future. and i hope that caiti sees it and they can try to work any other issues out privately instead of creating more interent drama. i also hope that any other ccs that have a problem with george contact him and clear everything up together.

other than that, i'm glad he said what he said and how he said it. i'm glad he knows he fucked up, and he's not in the right. i'm glad he owned up to it and says he'll change.

honestly i see the open secret thing and i immediately discredit anything because it's been 4 years and nothing?? not even while you were buddy buddy okay then. most of it is definitely petty grievances or someone got rejected or even cucked (punz)

And the way they keep it close to their chest because to quote someone if there is one thing Dream is going to have it's receipts. Even Caiti and Ghostie were oddly pissed Dream shared screenshots from the group chat he was in. So no matter what they're going to throw out there it's either made up or twisted as shit. Cause if that wasn't the case really all 2022-2023 was the time to drop anything and be immediately believed

Brittany Simon's content on this situation is really good for anyone unsure of it or just looking for something to watch. The only thing I kind of disagree with her on is saying this whole thing isn't malicious on Caiti's part, because to me it does very much seem that way at this point, but Brittany is very charitable to both her and George.

At the end of Brittany's latest stream about this, she said George made some poor choices too, but people in her chat pointed out that he reasonably thought everyone there was 21+ and were mutual friends, so she kind of walked that back a bit which I appreciated.

I think in an effort to be kind, we should all try to refrain from accusing Caiti from malice. And I say that as someone who has spent most of this week thinking the worst of her.

But Brittany was fair, in that she found other reasons for Caiti to have done this to George. And I'm glad she did that, because I feel like it was a good reminder for myself.

I've never heard of Brittany before all this, but she seems to have her head screwed on right.

And I'll always be thankful for how understanding of George she was.
