Annalise jiggled her leg in both excitement and nervousness as she sat on the quilt that was spread out underneath the warm autumn sun. She had everything ready to eat and drink in the woven basket at her side, and she had Smudge distracted with a pile of bright red apples a good distance away from the picnic.

And now, she simply had to wait for the one who had agreed to this cute little picnic date.

Seeing someone approach where she sat, Annalise perked up, a bright grin stretching across her face.
