Personally I don't trust the Axolotl. A mysterious cosmic *apparently*-loving-and-understanding being who almost never interferes with the happenings of the multiverse, who has power to set the terms of when someone is "absolved of their crime?" Sounding a little too much like the kind of god I was told about in christian sunday school if you ask me 🤨

#not to sound like bill but.#jdhdvdj #religion mention #godsrambles #bill meta #obviously there is Very Little ever mentioned about the axolotl so interpretation of it can go in a million different ways #i just personally am Suspicious of this Axolotl. even if somehow it *is* a benevolent and kind being. why punitive justice.#i mention christian interpretation of god because the axolotl being like that guy means god criticisms apply to the axolotl #e.g. 'why do you sit back and let bad things happen if youre all powerful' and all the other common questions people have #obsession with 'atoning for sins' (aka redemption) doesnt sit right with me i think. feels reminiscent of christian morality #sometimes people to horrible things. sometimes they do good things. and its a personal choice for those around them to forgive or not #its also a personal choice for the person to try and be kinder and treat others better or not #its wrong to hurt people obviously. the aftermath of harmful choices is just. very personal and messy #i have a lot of feelings about all this idk. i dont wanna delve into philosophy and morality too much here. not in random tumblr tags lol #tags essay
