🩰 — SHOTARO invites you to his dance practice
shotaro who was over the moon when you told him that you thought he looked the coolest when he was dancing. so he decided to ask you to come watch him practice for his upcoming performance. he has never invited someone over to watch him dance before. dance was something he held so close to his heart.
he wants to impress you so badly :( but because he was nervous, he didn’t do well. you questioned him when you noticed how shotaro looked so tense and stiff. you knew shotaro was an amazing dancer, so you were concerned that he wasn’t feeling well.
“i’m nervous because someone i like is watching me.”
🗒️ — you find a post-it note on your desk from EUNSEOK
ever since you and eunseok have been assigned as seatmates, he has never stopped doodling little doraemons on the corners of your notebooks and worksheets. even when you slapped his hands away and asked him to stop ( because you actually wanted to pay attention ! why was he disturbing you >:( ) he would only softly laugh at you before proceeding to doodle on post-it notes and then passing them to you at the end of class.
one day, his doraemon looked a little different !! it had a little speech bubble that said, “i like you.” your heart almost stopped when you read it, but you knew eunseok liked to play little pranks on you, so you just ignored him.
“why are you not replying to my doraemon ? do you not like me ?”
proof that eunseok is picasso reincarnated :

📓 — SUNGCHAN has made a scrapbook for you
“for you,” sungchan mutters as he shoves a scrapbook in your hands. it definitely wasn’t the prettiest scrapbook you’ve seen; the pages were unevenly cut ( was that a coffee stain ? ), the photos were haphazardly glued and the stickers were plastered without any regard to a colour scheme.
hugging the scrapbook to your chest, you knew he probably spent weeks or even months on this, pouring his heart out on each and every page. jung sungchan was built for sports, not arts and crafts. you could tell by the remnants of glue stuck on his fingertips and specks of glitter under his left eye. but you, you were built for arts and crafts. and it touched you that he was willing to step into your world.
“if the time and effort i spent on the scrapbook isn’t enough to show my love for you, i’ll say it verbally too. i love you.”
💌 — you've received a love letter from WONBIN
heart pounding, cheeks flushed, tightly clutching his love letter, so many thoughts were rushing through wonbin’s head. was the twenty-fifth draft better ? his eyebrows furrowed as he tried to recall what he wrote on each draft. no time to think; you were here already.
you flashed him a soft smile and his cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red ( he felt like he was burning up ). “hey wonbin, why did you ask to meet m-” he swiftly pressed the now slightly crumpled love letter into your palm and quickly retreated before you could even respond. he couldn’t bear to see your reaction.
hi, this is wonbin. i like you, if it wasn’t already obvious enough. and i’m so sorry if this letter shocked you; i just needed to get it off my chest…
☀️ — SEUNGHAN brings you on a picnic
you remind seunghan of the sun. you were bright and burning like the sun at noon; your ambition was something he greatly admired. however, he wished you’d stop burning yourself away. that was his job – to keep you from shining too brightly and giving too much of yourself away. you were also soft and gentle like the sun in the morning, always willing to care for others and always so kind and forgiving to those who do not deserve it.
but when you’re seated next to him on the red and white checkered mat, he concludes that you remind him the most of the sun during the golden hour. beautiful, warm and fleeting. except he wishes to stay by your side forever.
“the sun is setting so fast.”
“it is, isn’t it.”
“i wish the sun would never set. i don’t want our time together to come to an end.”
🐵 — SOHEE gifts you a cute memento
“monchhichi !” sohee looks up from his book at the call of his nickname. ah, you were here to disturb him again. “what are you doing ?” you peeked over his shoulder. his heart almost fell out at the close proximity. did you truly have no idea of the effect you had on him ? or were you doing this on purpose ?
“i have something for you.” sohee stuffs his hand into his backpack, digging around. he pulled a monchhichi keychain and dangled it in front of your face. “monchhichi !” you let out a gasp of surprise. “did you really buy this for me ?”
“i’m going back to my hometown for a couple of weeks. i got it in case you’ll miss me.”
how monchhichi looks like just in case anyone doesn't know :

🎧 — ANTON has sent you a mp3 file
anton <3
hi :) i made this for you. attached – mp3 file.
you sat down in front of your computer, still drying your wet hair. you had seen his message before you showered, but you felt too nervous to open it right away. heart fluttering in anticipation, you clicked on the file he sent.
folder 1 : songs i wrote for you
folder 2 : a playlist of songs that reminded me of you
folder 3 : my message to you
mouse hovering over folder 3 after you’ve listened to folders 1 and 2, you thought that anton was truly an angel sent from heaven. to love someone so deeply, to compose a song for them, to make a playlist for them.
a robotic computer voice read out, “folder 3, my message to you. now playing.”
your surroundings slowly fading as you focused on anton’s voice, “hi. you’ve probably listened to the other two folders already, right ? if you haven’t, you better listen to them first before continuing…”

I have enjoyed some of the TCF reaction fics, but I feel like there's a major problem.
Namely, that it's really hard for fic writers to stay motivated for over 700+ chapters, so it feels like they all start off strong for the beginning (especially rescuing Raon) and then peter out. We never get to the really good stuff.
Never reach that flashback when Cale reads the letter from the GoD, or see reactions to Choi Han rushing over to see Kim Rok Soo after getting Choi Jung Soo's records. Never have them see the Sealed God's test, and really... Post-apocalyptic Korea horrified Alberu, for good reason. Not that it's explicitly stated, but when is it ever? He had quite the reaction when he was trying to decide what to tell everyone else.
I've had some thoughts on how I would do it, but fair warning - I'm not much of a writer, and will probably never write it. All my respect for the ones that regularly write fanfic because I have like - less than a handful? Maybe, maybe, if I haven't moved on after finishing this reread, I'll try writing it myself.
The other thing is that I've been reading part 2 - only as far as eatapplepies has translated as I find mtl more confusing than helpful - and I'm really liking the Heavenly Demon. He seems to have fallen for our Cale pretty hard, and I'm interested in seeing how that goes.
So I have been playing around with ideas.
First - Dodam is trying to find 'that terrible bastard', and is dragging around his Choi Han.
He reaches Korea. Og!Cale as KRS, specifically. He has his own attribute, one to help him track down Cale, so he can pull up visions/memories related to that.
He pulls up the dream meeting between Cale and KRS.
There are a few team 1 members present, particularly Kim Minh Ah. Cue a bit of chaos, some 'aha' moments, and the long and the short of it is Dodam is going to pull up some of just what they're team leader is up to. (And if Dodam can figure out exactly which world or dimension to to next, and OG! Cale gets the bittersweet ability to see how his deal with the God of Death prevented the destruction he'd lived through, well... That's fine too)
During that brief moment, the Henituse noticed some strange mana fluctuations and managed to get Rosalyn there. She's basically able to tap into the feed and see and hear what's going on.
And divine intervention (like perhaps a god of love) extends the feed to the Heavenly Demon.
What would follow would be an abbreviated version of the key points. Sure, it loses some of the flavor... But we don't actually need, say, the amusing anecdote where an elf mistook Cale for a dragon.
Anyways, the more I thought about it the more I thought about how team 1 would react.
Because the minute they see those monster statues you know they'll all be going 'what the fuck?!?'
They will probably also nod knowingly at some of Cale's more shocking plans. Like hey, there he goes agreeing to help the Mogoru Empire put out the fire he started with the Whipper kingdom.
Nod, nod
Just like he did when they were dealing with that one corrupt guild
And if they ever get as far as seeing the Heavenly Demon, I'm sure one team member will be like 'Is.. is he flirting with Team Leader-nim?!?'
Cue stories where Team Leader Kim Rok Soo avoided a honeypot - except now they're thinking maybe he was just too dense to notice?

Reactions to Tsunami Creator's Chapter 177
TL;DR - CJS misunderstanding Cale. GoD and Cale's convo. Cale and Alberu's convo. Cale's group arrives at Guangdong Beach.
Soos? LSH = ❌ CJS = ✅
The Misunderstanding The first part was so hilarious that I translated it:
Cale's expression hardened as he frowned. What did this guy just say? "…Sob. You're so mean…?" Cale was so dumbfounded that he read the message sent to him. It was something he did without even realizing it. "Hey, you know-" Choi Jung Soo, who happened to be just entering, saw Cale holding up a dazzling mirror and saying, "Sob, you're so mean." And he quietly went out. With an expression that he saw something he shouldn't see.
Ahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 CJS thought Cale was talking to himself and immediately went out of the room in shock.... 😂 And it doesn't stop there. Remember that Ron is in the room too? Does Ron know that Cale can talk to GoD with that mirror? Or does he also think that Cale had gone crazy? 😂
Cale: ...Sob. You're so mean...? Ron: ... Cale: Have you gone crazy? Ron: ... Cale: Ron. Ron: Yes, young master. Cale: I'm going to have a conversation, so please take that man out. Ron: Have a pleasant conversation. *takes Baek out with him*
No, seriously. I want to know if Ron is aware of the divine mirror's function. 🤣🤣🤣
GoD's Info Dump This part took half of the chapter, but to summarize:
GoD will tell Zed's location in exchange for Cale finding CJG
GoD got stepped on by GoB again
God of Hope came to save GoD
GoB was deeply concerned after hearing the report about the Aipotu world, and gave Cale more freedom
GoD warns Cale (out of his own goodwill) to not know more about the divine world if Cale did not want to be a god
Cale and GoD's conversation always makes me laugh too... 🤣🤣🤣
GoD: I'll tell you Zed's current location if you do me one favor. Cale: To find CJG? GoD: I really like how you can talk with me. Cale: I hate the fact that I can communicate with you. GoD: Sobs
Bob Alberu in Endable Cale contacted Alberu to report what he found about Zed, and was surprised to find that Alberu was disguised as the dark elf Bob again. So what happened? Apparently, while he and Eruhaben were looking for a location to place the mine in Endable, they found a suspicious place deep underground of White Star's palace.
There were some traces of crossing worlds there. And the traces of a god's power too. Woah. And the first god Cale suspected was... God of War. Why? Because Cotton was in Endable at that time.
It doesn't help that GoW treated the Water AP badly. Sure, he cherished her, but kept her "chained" unlike GoD who doted on Cage and let her run free. Water AP knew that GoW was good, but also cold. She herself was left confused after Cale's conversation with Alberu.
Ending Remarks Chapter ended with Cale arriving at the beach where they will board a boat to head to Hainan Island. Anyway, today was a good chapter. Lots of funny stuff and some info dump. Next chapter will probably be the prelude to the battle. Ah, I'm excited to see another tsunami again!

Do you think Choi Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk wanted to drag Kim Rok Soo into farming because they recognized he suffered from trauma as much as they did, but with KRS's personality, was more likely to internalize and never ask for help about it? That they feared if he was left alone after finishing their job that KRS would sink into depression real fast and not have any means of getting out?
Farming or even just gardening, an act that moves the body and results in sustenance or beauty, can be rather therapeutic. Aside from being a family business, I can see CJS and LSH wanting to do it for their own therapy reasons, and then going "Hey KRS needs this too, let's make sure we drag him in. We can keep an eye on him."

10. lee fcking soo-man (written)
note: bbtr lore??
warning/s: lee soo man (i think that's it)
Tumblr media
hyunseol shoves her phone in her pocket and adjusts herself on her seat with bang si-hyuk on her right side, raking her fingers through her hair. why did i even suggest having a meeting like this?
"it's going to be okay, seol. mr. park and i are here to back you up on whatever you picked, okay?", bang pd-nim softly whispers, looking at the and the idol throws the ceo a look to find him giving her a thumbs-up.
hyunseol nods shyly and looks away, her worries somewhat reduced to a minimum. her manager, yongsun stands protectively behind her seat whose hand she felt on her shoulder, a gesture to show the latter's support to her before she feels the older woman remove it.
the idol hangs her head low, unable to fight off a smile from appearing on her lips. a few knocks are then heard as hyunseol's head shoots up, looking at the door.
the ceo's office door then opens with a big hit staff leading a man in a business suit, lee soo-man and one man wearing a button-down shirt and pants who hyunseol guessed is the show's producer. behind them are two women, one is the idol hyunseol will be working with, yoo jimin or mononymously known as aespa's karina while the other is...
hyunseol tries her best not to throw her manager a look once she meets the second woman's eyes. the other woman who entered is one of yongsun's best friends and the big hit idol often sees the latter in some of the pictures her manager posted in her personal instagram.
jung wheein. that's her name. age 27
hyunseol then diverts her gaze from the other woman to the idol and catches the latter staring back at her. the pair hold each other's gazes for two second, unblinking before the two idols look away with their eyes darting around the room, hoping the embarrassment running hot in their veins vanish.
little did they know wheein and yongsun saw their small interaction and now are smirking at each other before recomposing themselves, noting to ask the idols about it for a later time. the three newly-arrived people take their seats across hyunseol and bang si-hyuk, a whip of professional air rising in the room.
"good morning, mr. park." sm's ceo, mr. lee slightly bows to hybe's ceo who returned the gesture, hyunseol not knowing how to act in the suffocating professional tension in the room.
it's already hard enough being around hybe's ceo. so imagine alone being in a room with the latter and another ceo of another entertainment who is apart of the big 3 companies in the industry. the urge to break the tension is too tempting, but the thought of her image getting tarnished holds her back. for all she knows her actions might affect her group and her members and she doesn't want that to happen, so being her best behavior will have to work until the end of this meeting.
"good morning to you too. mr. lee." park jiwon starts off, his palms against the smooth surface of the wooden table. he meets soo-man's eyes, a polite smile on his lips. "thank you for lending us your time for today."
soo-man bows a bit, his smile getting wider. "the pleasure's all mine. i'm honored to have this meeting with you. shall we get down to business?"
please, god. let me survive this meeting in peace, hyunseol prays to herself as she lays her hands on her lap, keeping herself from playing with her fingers.
----
"i believe that's all we need to discuss for today, mr. lee." jiwon states as he places his pen down on the notepad, a smile directed at his fellow ceo. "again, thank you for giving us your time for today. i appreciate your effort in attending this meeting."
the producer who entered the room with lee soo-man and later introduced himself as gong daejung left the room with a bow, not wanting to be in the same room with the two ceos any longer.
"it's an honor to be here. and i forgot to say this earlier, but i must say what a great space you have here, mr. park." the other ceo looks around the spacious area, a pleased smile over his lips.
"thank you, mr. lee. the felicitations should be dedicated to hyunseol right here. she decorated the room with mr. bang's permission." the said idol flinches upon the mention of her name with her head shooting up before she nods as she hangs her head low, heat covering her cheeks.
mr. park wears a proud smile, his eyes falling on the 5'11 foot idol. "i'm honored to have her in hybe's creative team. her contribution will forever be unforgettable and our company will continue thriving through her and the other idols."
"it seems like you have a high regard for ms. oh here." mr. lee observes, his eyes flicking over the tall idol who tries her best to hold the ceo's gaze. good thing she had a practice of holding a staring contest with her cousin, sehun who is one of the intimidating people she knows.
si-hyuk holds himself back from shooting soo-man a raised brow when he sensed something from the latter's tone. mr. park also notices the strange tone, but decides not to bring it up to avoid making a scene. yongsun holds herself back from clenching her fists, her eyes trained on the 70-year-old man.
"it's already obvious on how much we spoil her from postponing a fansign event to attend her niece's graduation. in hybe, we let our idols attend their personal matters and do their own things because they are still human beings who have feelings despite working as idols."
soo-man hums, his calculating eyes trained on the big hit idol and drops the most insane question known to humankind, or at least, to hybe representatives. "are there times you think your idols are getting a bit too spoiled?"
si-hyuk, jiwon, and yongsun freeze at the question as hyunseol blinks, trying to process if she heard those words right. si-hyuk immediately narrows his eyes at the other ceo, slightly tilting his head as he clasps his fingers together.
jiwon adjusts himself on his swivel chair with his elbows on the armrests, looking the other ceo up and down with venom in his eyes. yongsun's expression hardens with a click of her tongue as she takes one step forward, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
soo-man notices the way the air inside the room immediately changes into some thick and heavy, or in karina's perspective, deadly and lethal. the 5'6 foot idol watches as jiwon, si-hyuk, and yongsun look at the ceo of sm entertainment in disdain with hyunseol's shoulders falling, her eyes slowly losing its natural glow.
karina tries her best not to throw the ceo beside her a glare, considering she might put her group in a grave position if she did so. what the fuck this man is even saying? why does he always feel the need to comment on things, especially other companies' business?
why can't he just mind his own business? it's not even that hard to do, wheein, on the other hand, thinks to herself as she throws soo-man a questioning look with her nose scrunched up before meeting her best friend's eyes, seeing the latter in state of glaring the ceo.
"pardon?", jiwon asks as he keeps himself calm, knowing that making a scene will be an unbecoming of him as the ceo of a prestigious company.
"what am i saying is, i've been noticing that your idols are getting too spoiled for their own good. it's just... they look like they are so dependent on you and i want to ask what you think about that." soo-man leans against his seat, using his hands to support his statement. he immediately notices the change in the big hit idol's demeanor and the other three's behavior, knowing his words have hit a nerve.
he's referring to hyunseol, jiwon thinks to himself and his eyes dart towards the 50-year old producer beside the 5'11 foot idol. he could see the latter's eyes fill with something explosive and holds himself back from diffusing the fight, knowing very well his efforts of doing so are futile. this meeting won't end in good terms.
si-hyuk calmly stands up and catches the attention of everyone in the room, his eyes looking down at soo-man in disgust and hatred. hyunseol grabs the producer's coat back, making the latter look back at the idol.
the idol shakes her head while mouthing 'no', telling the older man to not start a fight and an amused smirk appears on soo-man's lips, enjoying the interaction.
si-hyuk's once hatred-filled eyes soften for a moment while looking down at the idol before it hardens once again, looking away with his eyes meeting soo-man. "no, hyunseol. i had enough of people acting like my artists, especially those from big hit don't work hard. it's getting annoying when people discredit their efforts and hard work, especially yours."
bang si-hyuk is a man of his words and once he makes a decision, he always sticks to it. hyunseol reluctantly lets the coat go with a small pout and chews the inside of her cheeks, her hands on her lap while keeping a close range with the producer just in case the fight escalates into a physical one.
si-hyuk starts off, glaring at soo-man who is looking amused to the scene in front of him. "there are no such things as too spoiled in hybe, especially in my previous company, big hit. in case you aren't aware, txt doesn't have any privilege when they debuted despite being in the same company as bts. just like their seniors, they worked hard to rise and join the other idols in the top, especially hyunseol right here.
"she worked hard to write and compose songs for herself, her group, and her fans. it took them a lot of times for their potential to be recognized by the public and most importantly, don't speak on how we treat our artists. for all the people working under hybe labels know, that's how idols should be treated, respected, and managed unlike how you do it back at sm entertainment. you're from that company, of course you won't understand hybe's inner workings."
soo-man adjusts himself on his seat, his aura changing as if he's challenging the 50-year-old man to continue speaking.
"we treat each member in our groups fairly, unlike—"
from there, hyunseol decides that her ears have heard enough of the conversation as she then stands up and grabs the producer's shoulders, holding him back. "that's enough, bang pd-nim. he's just trying to rile you up, don't give in to what he wants to hear you say about him."
"no, hyunseol—"
"no, sit down, bang pd-nim." the authoritative and firmness present in the idol's voice and as she looks down, towering over the producer. she then massages the latter's shoulders, talking like a child coaxing their parent to change their mind. "stop and sit down. don't let your day be ruined by him, don't stoop down to his level 'cause we all know it's worthless to do so."
karina looks up and keeps her eyes focused on the other idol's facial expression, noticing the way the 5'11 foot idol clench her jaws and purses her lips together. she starts to stare at the big hit idol and wheein notices it, taking a mental note to talk it with her best friend.
"and, mr. lee", hyunseol tears her eyes away from the producer and looks down at the 70-year-old ceo with cold eyes, taking one slow step forward to him. her height casts a shadow over the man with the help of the fluorescent light shining behind her. "mind your words and tone around hybe producers, staffs, and artists, especially me. if i were you, i'd listen to me."
lee soo-man let out a snicker with a shake of her head, finding the words thrown at him ridiculous. "oh, really?"
the reaction from the man is expected, making a smirk forms over hyunseol's lips. she chuckles like a maniac as she looks at her manager, pointing to the 70-year-old man with a shake of her head. "can you believe this, yongsun unnie? he even got the guts to react like that, as if..."
she takes another step forward, her height seeming more threatening to the ceo than before.
yongsun and si-hyuk immediately throw each other a look, both approaching the tall idol and grabbing ahold of both of the latter's arms. the trio from sm entertainment notice the pair's actions and raise their brows, confused.
"hyunseol, don't—" / "seol, stop—"
"no, why should i?" the tone in the txt member's voice shifts into something karina is familiar yet couldn't identify. karina notices how si-hyuk and the idol's manager have a tight hold on hyunseol's arms. "you're not the only one who is angry, you know, pd-nim. if that question was directed to me, i normally wouldn't care and just shrug at it, but for mr. lee to include my members along with the other hybe artists who put their efforts of making a name for themselves in the industry, i wouldn't let that pass. over my dead body."
"i'm not afraid of you, ms. oh."
hyunseol's smirk gets wider as if it was possible, showing off her white teeth as her eyes focus on the ceo, a different glint in her eyes. "oh, you should be, mr. lee. afterall..."
the idol's voice drops into a whisper, deep and menacing as she slightly crouches down to his eye level, her smirk still on her lips. "... i know who you are and the past you keep trying to bury away from existence, especially the charges that you avoided for the past years. i've known all of them, lee soo-man. and believe me, i can leak that information at my will."
"h-how did you know that? who told you that?!" color drains from the ceo's face, his smirk getting wiped away from his lips.
a deep chuckle escapes the idol as she is pulled backwards by si-hyuk and yongsun, not even bothering to resist the pair. "oh, that? you're forgetting i'm nation's best friend, mr. lee. that title is true in the music industry and the political side. let me just say that it pays to have connections like i have. and believe me, ms. yoo and her manager right here don't want to know all the heinous crimes you committed. it'll take me this whole afternoon to explain what you did."
"so you're threatening me? you know i could sue you for defamation, right?" an angered expression appears on the ceo's face as he stands up, failing to scare the tall idol.
"you're digging your own grave, mr. lee." hyunseol warns.
"you're also forgetting i have the money to control this narrative, ms. oh." soo-man counters, hiding the panic rumbling in his chest.
"i would like to see you try, mr. lee. especially when i have a strong evidence on my side. right, yongsun unnie?" on cue, yongsun shows her phone to the ceo as her phone screen shows an ongoing voice recording, karina and wheein guessing that the recording starts after the producer had left.
karina, wheein, and soo-man stares at the screen in shock before 5'6 foot idol looks at hyunseol's face, seeing a huge smirk on the latter's lips. like an anime where the detective finally revealing the culprit to the public.
"h-how-?" soo-man throws jiwon and si-hyuk a look and sees them looking everything but surprised at the recording. as if they have been expecting the idol pulling a move like that.
"you see, we are prepared, mr. lee, especially on a meeting like this. we are aware that there are times something will take an unexpected turn and i've grown to take a recording of everyone i meet. if they pass my judgment, i get to delete the recording and move on." the idol takes another step, si-hyuk and yongsun failing to hold the txt member back. she looks down at the ceo with a manic smile plastered on her lips. "but since you didn't pass it, i won't delete it."
"now", hyunseol throws jiwon a look. "can i dismiss mr. lee now, mr. park? there's nothing left to discuss with him, anyways."
"do the honors, hyunseol." the ceo slightly bows at her, a pleased smile over his lips.
the idol looks back at soo-man and motions the door to him, a teasing smile over her lips. "this meeting is dismissed, mr. lee. you can now leave."
"why am i the only one getting dismissed? i'm not the only one who's not from here."
in instant, hyunseol's voice changes from her usually high-pitched one into a deep almost rumbling one. "because i said so. or are you forgetting i have something against you, mr. lee?"
grumbling, the 70-year-old man heads for the office door and walks out but without slamming the door behind him, airing his annoyance to the hallway.
"that went well." si-hyuk sarcastically comments after a few minutes of silence and hyunseol snickers, leaning against her seat. "that also means i need to go. if you'll excuse me, i have places to be. i have still some songs to review."
"anddd i'll make a visit to the cafeteria. i'm in a need of some snacks after that meeting." jiwon speaks up as he stands up, stretching his body a bit. he then approaches hyunseol and pats her head with a smile. "good job earlier. if i was in your position, i would probably be swinging my hand to his face to shut him up. i'm proud of what you did. i'll walk with mr. bang here."
the producer and the ceo then start walking up to the door and walk out of the room, leaving the two idols and managers inside.
"you really weren't lying when you said he was balding, wheein unnie." hyunseol breaks the silence with with a giggle as yongsun joins her, taking si-hyuk's previous seat.
wheein chuckles and shakes her head, approaching the 5'11 foot idol. "i told you, seol-ah. he's getting closer and closer to wearing a wig."
"if he wasn't such a grumpy pants and a dick, i'd feel sorry for him." hyunseol chuckles with wheein, making karina blink in surprise and throw her manager a raised brow.
the latter catches the look and realizes what sm idol is thinking. "oh, right. karina, this is hyunseol, txt's oldest. seol-ah, this is jimin, one of the aespa members i manage."
"hello, jimin-ssi. nice to meet you and i'm sorry about meeting likes this. usually, i'm not like that with everyone, but it seems like mr. lee wants to be an exception." the txt member gives the aespa leader a short bow while smiling.
the latter slightly flinches as she immediately stands up and shyly returns the gesture but with a ninety bow. hyunseol is her senior from the same company bts debuted in and karina needs to show her respect for the woman, so why not start with a bow?
karina then straightens herself and meets her manager's eyes, confused. "how did you guys know each other?"
the txt member points to her manager. "oh, i met wheein unnie through yongsun unnie. they became best friends in high school and up until now, their friendship is still going strong."
"and probably because you're the nation's best friend, seol-ah. that's why you easily clicked with wheein."
"probably." hyunseol shrugs at her manager's statement.
"wait, what about the things you said to mr. lee? is it true?", wheein asks as she turns to the bighit idol.
"a bit yeah?"
"what do you mean a bit?" the sm idol's manager asks and karina gets curious, looking over the 5'11 foot idol.
"well, actually, he had only three charges against him. only two of them are minor offenses, but the third? that's a major offense, but i got a feeling he must be thinking about his nightly activities."
"nightly activities?", karina and wheein both repeat.
"drugs, dui, and gambling." hyunseol holds up three fingers.
"and how did you know that? it's always a mystery on how you always know these kind of things." wheein tilts her head.
"my title, nation's best friend precedes me, wheein unnie. it also helps me that i used to be involved in the law enforcement."
"law enforcement?", wheein asks, furrowing her brows and hyunseol nods. "i thought you want to be a chef?"
the txt member only smiles at the 27-year-old woman, mystery lingering on the gesture. "that'll be another story for another time, unnie. for now, let's go out! i'm starving."
"all right." yongsun grabs hyunseol's hand and tries pulling to the txt member to her feet and the latter giggles, seeing how hard the older woman is pulling her.
wheein then turns to jimin, tilting her head. "do you want to join us, rina-ah?"
"i-if it's okay to tag along with you, then sure", karina shyly answers, trying not to be enthusiastic about the invitation.
"it's okay!" wheein and karina turn their head to hyunseol who is now back to her beaming façade, currently standing beside her manager. "besides, this is a great bonding time before filming the show. but if you don't want to, then it's fine, I understand."
"no! no, i mean. i'll join you guys. it's been a while since i went out and you're right. we could also use this time to get used to being with each other." karina stands up and momentarily meets hyunseol's eyes before immediately looking away with a heat coating her cheeks.
"okay, let's go!"

Marry My Husband (2024)
Tumblr media
This show is not perfect, and it is certainly not Perfect Marriage Revenge, but it does have its charms.
What Worked
Like that other show about a time traveling wife who was betrayed by her family and goes back in time to get her revenge, this show was good because of its villains. Song Ha-yoon who plays the evil best friend Jung Soo-min was the most fun to watch of the baddies. She was believably bad while pretending to be nice, and watching her spiral out of control over the course of the series was a treat.
The show also made the most of its side characters, giving them interesting plots and bringing in a solid cast. I especially loved watching young actor Choi Gyu-ri bring this delightful manic energy to Yoo Hui-yeon (the younger sister / bestie). I could have used more scenes with her, and hopefully she'll break into a lead role in a future series.
What DIdn't Work
Though it had a solid final two episodes, the show sagged a bit in the last third. They brought in an evil-ex fiance character that just wasn't interesting to watch.
Also, there were a few moments where the show went from "Over the Top" to "Completely Unbelievable". Like the end of episode 13 (aka the "slowest truck of doom ever") and the end of episode 14 (aka "WTF Ji-won, don't just stand there, Kick him in the nuts, FFS!").
The Performances
Park Min-Young as ("Time Traveling Wife") Kang Ji-won. I've been kind of disappointed in PMY's choices lately, so it was nice to see her in a somewhat better role. There were moments when I felt pathos, or enjoyed the romance, but not that many. Mostly, it was the moments in the show where she got to be angry—and even a little ruthless—that I remember. Which is part of the appeal for any good revenge show.
Na In-woo as ("Future CEO") Yoo Ji-hyuk. I think he was a little wooden in this, but alot of that was the writing. The show was really focused on the FL and on her relationships, and it didn't have much space for him. I didn't really mind that, but it did make those few moments where he got to cut loose a little (like the ice cream scene) more memorable.
Lee Yi-kyung as ("The terrible ex-") Park Min-hwan. This guy was great at playing a mediocre man completely out of his depth. He was like one of those clown punching bags that just pop right up after you hit them. And it was fun watching him get beaten down and come right back up for more.
Song Ha-yoon as ("The evil bestie") Jung Soo-min. I liked watching her slowly get more evil and more crazy as the show went on. The actor did a great job making her contemptible, while pretending to be kind and thoughtful.
Lee Ji-kwang as ("The chef") Baek Eun-ho. Probably the most sympathetic character in the show. He just wants to run his restaurant and feed all his friends and get a cute girlfriend and all of these crazy people keep coming in and messing with things. Would have liked to see more of him, and his loveline, but what we got was nice.
Choi Gyu-ri as ("The Best Sister in the World") Yoo Hui-yeon. This actor had golden retriever energy and it was so much fun watching her in the middle of this craziness. I want to see an entire show with her just running around living her best life. We needed more of Hui-yeon and chef's story than we got, for sure.
Gong Min-jeung as ("Sad boss") Assistant Manager Yang. I've seen this actor a few times and I always enjoy her, though they rarely give her a good loveline. She got a pretty decent one here, despite all the other crazy stuff that happened, so that was nice. Again, could have used a few more scenes with her and Lee Seok-joon.
Ha Do-kwon as ("The Salaryman") Lawyer Lee Seok-joon. He did a good job bringing some gravity to this crazy show. Was able to be funny too (in a Butler Jeeves kind of way). Not enough time spent on him and Manager Yang's story, but what we got was good.
BoA as ("The Evil Ex-") Oh Yu-ra. This character felt more like a plot device than anything. There were a few moments where she could have felt menacing or crazy, but I don't think the actor was quite up to it. They needed to cast a real Mean Girl, but they didn't have enough story for that kind of character.
Ha Do-kwon as ("Bad Manager") Lee Seok-joon. They brought in a really good character actor and this guy made the most of the part. He felt like someone I could have met in real life, and I despised him. Which means the actor did a great job.
Everyone Else. The high school bully girls were fun to watch. Yang's husband did an okay job being despicable. The judo teammates were funny. Even the grandfather had a couple of good moments. Show did a good job taking care of its minor characters.
TL; DR:
If you liked Perfect Marriage Revenge, you'll probably like this too (and vice-versa). It's different enough that you don't feel like you're watching the same show twice. It's also not quite as good as that other show, which means people likely judged it a little harder than they otherwise might have done.

______________________________________________
Chapter 1
You were woken up by your door buzzer going off in your apartment. Sitting up in bed, you looked at the time. 8:00 am. You huffed your comforter off yourself and got up.
“Who in the hell?”
You walked out of your bedroom, down the hall, and to the door, pressing the button by the speaker on the wall. “Who is it?”
“Hobi.” You let out a sigh of relief, it was your best friend, Jung Hoseok. At least it wasn’t a stranger. “I brought iced coffee.”
You could hear the excitement in his voice, and you couldn’t possibly say no to an iced coffee.
“Come up.” You spoke into the speaker and unlocked your door for him.
You sat down in one of the chairs at your kitchen island and looked at your phone, re-reading some texts from the previous night that made you sick to your stomach.
The door opened suddenly, making you put your phone down.
“I got you vanilla.” Hoseok spoke as he walked through the door, then shut it behind him.
You forced a smile that you know he could see right through as he walked closer to you. Damn him, he could read you like a book.
“Something wrong?” He looked worried. “You look like you’ve been crying.”
“Because I have.” You took the coffee from him, trying not to cry again. “Fucking Min-jae cheated on me last night.”
“(Y/N)!” Hoseok was shocked. “I’m so sorry.” He came around behind you to give you a hug.
“How did you find out?” He asked, still hugging you.
“Soo Yun texted me.” You replied, referring to your other friend in the modeling business. You put your arm over his to hug him back. “He was with some girl. I have no idea who she was, neither did she. They were all over each other at some party. Must have been why he kind of blew me off yesterday.”
You felt your eyes getting watery, and you wiped them with your sweatshirt sleeve. “He’s been treating me like shit lately, I guess I should have saw it coming.”
“No, no, no. Don’t cry.” Hoseok hugged you tighter if that was even possible, giving you a kiss on the temple. “You’re no good for him anyways.”
“But Hobi, I have to ask at some point.” You started thinking about every stupid guy that broke your heart. Too many to count. “Why don’t these guys stay with me, like am I intimidating or something?”
For fucks sake, you were a model. Men should be throwing themselves towards you and dying to get a date with you. In your case, the exact opposite was happening. You seemed to not be able to keep a good man to save your life.
“I don’t think you’re intimidating.” Hoseok stated, straightening up and grabbing his coffee to take a sip.
“Well, you’ve known me for a while.” You answered, smirking. “Unless I intimidated you then, I’m not sure.”
“Oh shush.” Hoseok smiled at you.
“Anyways.” You cleared your throat, picking up your phone. “I guess I have some things to delete.”
“Hell yes you do.” Hoseok egged you on. “His fucking phone number should be the first one.”
You sighed as you deleted his phone number and a ton of other stuff off of your phone. “You know, I feel like I should just give up on dating for a while. I think I’m trying too hard.”
“Why do you say that?” Hoseok sipped his coffee.
“Well first of all, I think I’m learning my lesson with dating actors.” You slightly laughed at yourself. “And I don’t know…I feel like I tend to force things.”
“Hey now.” Hoseok laughed. “Do not look at me for advice if you are not going to like what I have to say. I’ve been telling you that Min-Jae was an ass for the past like six months.”
“Well people on the outside can see things that others don’t.” You took a sip of your coffee. “Good coffee though.”
“Yeah, that’s right, change the subject because I called you out.” Hoseok laughed, making you hit his arm.
“Do you have any plans for the day?” You asked him.
“I have to go to practice later.” He answered. “And then I’m not sure. Why?”
“I don’t know. I am supposed to have a shoot today, but I was almost going to text my manager to cancel it.” You spoke, glancing at your phone. “But on a day like this it’s nice to have your hair and makeup done.” You laughed to yourself.
“Yeah, you know if you need anything, I’m here.” Hoseok spoke, sweetness in his voice.
“I know, thank you.” You answered sincerely.
“Okay, well I better get going.” Hoseok stepped towards the door and pointed at you. “You call me if you need me, okay?”
“Yes, yes.” You answered, walking towards him. “But can you please give me another hug before you leave?”
He smiled at you, pulling you in for a big hug. “Of course.”
You sniffled again, making Hoseok pull away quickly to look at your face, making you try to cover it instantly.
“Sorry!” You slightly laughed at yourself. “Trying not to cry again. You really mean a lot to me, Hobi. I have cried over too many guys to you.”
He kissed you on the forehead. “Yeah, I know. I’ll see you soon, okay?”
Later that night, you had left your photoshoot and decided to drive over to Hoseok’s apartment. You had borrowed one of his bags and promised to give it back to him, so you planned to return it. You didn’t bother texting or calling ahead of time, if he wasn’t home, it was no issue as you had one of his spare keys.
Upon arrival, you were able to let yourself into the elevator that led right up to Hoseok’s apartment.
You were always envious of the fact that he had access to a private elevator; yeah, you could afford a place like that, but you always hated the commotion of moving.
The elevator stopped at his apartment, and the doors opened into his living room. Hoseok was in a chair facing the elevator, sitting across from someone that you noticed turned around to look at you when Hoseok stood up, walking over to greet you.
“(Y/N)!” Hoseok gave you a hug before you took off your tennis shoes on the rug. “You didn’t tell me you were coming over.”
You laughed. “Yeah, I decided to finally give this back to you.” You handed him his Off-White bag that you had borrowed from him months ago.
“Wow, six months later? You’re so kind.” Hoseok teased you.
“Hey, I could have just waited until you forgot I had it and just kept it.”
You both walked into the living room, going to sit down.
“You remember Yoongi, right?” Hoseok asked, motioning towards Yoongi sitting on one of the couches.
“Yeah, I remember.” You answered, looking at Yoongi.
Yoongi took off his hat to quickly fluff his blonde hair. “Yeah, we’ve met a few times. How are you, (Y/N)?”
“Eh, good I guess.” You answered, avoiding telling him all your business. “What have you guys been up to?”
“Yoongi and I were discussing the song that he’s producing for me.” Hoseok replied, making Yoongi nod.
“Oh?” You asked, crossing your legs. “Will I get to hear a sample?”
Hoseok laughed, motioning towards Yoongi. “That’s for Yoongi hyung to decide.”
Yoongi smiled at you, and you noticed it to be cute. “If I’m feeling generous, we’ll see.”
“I was partly kidding.” You chuckled. “I know you must be so busy.”
Before Yoongi could say anything, Hoseok jumped in.
“(Y/N), what was your shoot for again?” He asked, running his fingers through his hair. “You said Louis Vuitton?”
“What?” You realized your eyes were on Yoongi still, but Hoseok didn’t notice. “Yeah, Louis Vuitton. I always like working with them. My manager says she is trying to get me a deal with Skims. I’m not sure if that will happen, but I’ll cross my fingers.”
There was a moment of silence after Hoseok nodded, and you checked your phone to see the time and noticed it was getting late.
“I’d better get going, it’s getting later than id like it to be.” You laughed at yourself.
“It’s only 10:30.” Hoseok joked. “What are you, an old lady?”
“Yes.” You answered and stood up, the comment even making Yoongi laugh. “Plus, I still have makeup on from earlier.”
You walked towards the elevator, putting your tennis shoes back on. “I’ll text you later, Hobi.”
Yoongi got up from where he was sitting. “I’m going to head home too. (Y/N), I’ll walk to your car.” He walked towards the elevator by you, putting his shoes back on.
“Yoongi, you don’t have to.”
He pushed the elevator button. “No, I want to. It’s dark outside, and I know they say that the city is safe, but you never know.”
He let you step into the elevator in front of him before he said bye to Hoseok. The elevator doors closed, and it was just you and Yoongi.
You were trying to not be awkward about anything, even though this was the first time you were both alone together.
Yoongi looked at you. “So, what’s new?”
You laughed slightly. “You don’t have to fill the silence, Yoongi.”
That made him laugh. “Yeah, I know. But I’m just asking. Read any good books? You and your boyfriend do anything interesting?”
Your smile almost faded instantly at the reminder of him. “No, actually my boyfriend and I are through.”
Yoongi seemed terribly upset with himself to ask you that, but there was no way he could have known anything.
“Oh! I’m so sorry, I had no idea.”
The elevator doors opened to the lobby.
“Its okay, I wouldn’t expect you to have known.” You assured Yoongi, who looked more than sorry right now.
You both walked outside, and to the parking garage down the street.
“Lead the way, I’m not sure that we parked in the same area.” Yoongi spoke, walking next to you.
You saw your car from a short distance away, hitting the button on your key fob to unlock it.
“That’s it, my car over there.” You pointed to an all-black Nissan Skyline GTR R34.
“Holy shit.” Yoongi swore, almost at a loss for words. “That’s your car?”
“Well, if it’s not, tell the real owner I’m sorry and I want my money back for the new exhaust.” You joked.
You both were standing near it now, Yoongi looking at the car in awe.
“No offense.” He put his hand up almost in defense. “But I would never expect you to drive a car like this.”
You laughed. “No, I get it.”
“You just don’t see these that much.” Yoongi added. “When did you get it?”
“A few years ago, when I got my first like real modeling job that paid good.” You leaned against the car. “I always told myself I’d own one, so with that money I had one imported.”
Yoongi nodded.
“I added some things to it.” You continued. “New exhaust, new steering wheel, custom rims, racing seats. With the new exhaust, sometimes when you downshift, flames come out.”
Yoongi was looking at you so intensely that it made you suddenly nervous.
“Oh, sorry.” You covered your face, realizing you were blushing embarrassingly. “Don’t get me talking about cars, I’ll talk all night long.”
Yoongi smiled at you. “I think its nice. Listen, you’ll have to give me a ride sometime.”
“Yeah?” You asked, an excited, yet nervous feeling in the pit of your stomach.
Yoongi nodded. “Yeah, you can come to my studio. That’s almost my second home. Genius Lab. Hoseok can give you the details.”
“Okay.”
“I’ll let you go home now.” Yoongi laughed slightly. “Have a good night, (Y/N.)”
You smiled at him. “Goodnight Yoongi.”
You opened your car door, sliding into the seat, watching Yoongi walk away and get into his car. You put your key into the ignition, turning it to start. Before you could even drive away, you leaned back in your seat, replaying in your head what the fuck just happened.

Cale the unlucky bastard
This is a cannon I imagine when the war is over, and everyone is back at their routines buts still have occasional get-togethers.
-----------
Albreu's POV
I never imagined that there would come a day in his life when he has taken a day off and he is relaxing with people he can call friends, in his dark elf form and drinking ridiculously expensive wine.
It was Sheritt-nim's idea to host a get-together where everyone can come and have some downtime. We all were too scared to say no to the Dragon Lord and we all love her, so naturally we filial children gather whenever and wherever the invitation says.
Over the years I have come to love these reunions and actually look forward to it. It's a highly secure place where everyone related to Cale Henitus gathers together in one place.
It was a lively day, the teleportation circle had to be redrawn at least twice by Raon-nim. People keep flooding the castle. The kids were running around playing and eating. Some adults were talking, some were in the kitchen helping cook and some were just sitting in the corner observing.
There were people from every conner of the world and some who don't even live in this world. But everyone took out time to talk to Cale for a few minutes and by the end of the day Cale looked like he had eaten a lemon and a candy together.
By nightfall, the kids were all herded to sleep and most of the adults who have travelled from far-far places also turned in for the night.
We had just said goodbye to the last of the guests. And the only wandering souls were a handful of us awake sipping wine as we sat under the night. Cale looked like he had a lot on his mind and so did Eurahben-nim. Patriarch Ron had just left to get another bottle of wine for all of us.
Eurahben-nim was the first to break his silence. "Never in my entire existence did I think that I would have to meet so many humans and beast people at the same time."
The golden dragon sounded more amused than tired and I could understand why.
"It reminds me of my company days." Cale added. He doesn't talk about the past a lot so my interest was peaked.
"How were they like?" I inquired.
Eurahben-nim too leaned in further. He was one of those people who had accepted Cale's truth in the most seamless way possible. He looked like the puzzle in his head finally made sense.
"It was a bittersweet time in my life. Before Team leader and Jung Soo died. I used be soo furstated that I have to haul there asses back home. Each and every time they would get black out drunk and I was the only one sober enough to get them out."
"After they...... left, it was a little bittersweet here I was wishing that I had them again beside me. But on the other hand, it was refreshing to see the new teammates, relax and have fun because they have been working their ass off."
Cale grew silent after that. And so did Eurahben-nim and I because somewhere along the lines even we had felt that. The bittersweet feeling of letting go of people and traditions and making a place for new ones instead. It feels like you are betraying the memory of them.
However, we forget change is the nature of life. It's okay to move on. To make places for new stuff. To sometimes forget old memories, not that Cale can forget anything. It's okay to live again.
We pretended like nothing happened when Ron came back with more wine for us. But I didn't forget to wrangle Cale into an extra tight hug when I left the next morning. And I am pretty sure Eurahben-nim patted his head secretly. Because deep down we all respect Cale Henitus for what he had survived.

young woo getting emotionally invested in her client when attorney jung sent her there to be the voice of reason is beautiful and so so very funny. i’m not even sure my brain fully processes it and i don’t think i can even explain super well but i’m gonna give it a shot!!
so a common misconception of people diagnosed with autism is that they can’t understand emotions or their emotions are ‘not fully developed’ or they don’t have as many emotions. it’s a really narrow way of thinking but it’s the information that is shown in media often and how people view alot of the visible signs of autism. a lack of knowledge is what it stems from but we see it when attorney jung asked young woo to work with soo yeon because he wanted young woo to calm her down when she was becoming too emotionally invested. he was expecting young woo to not react to the story, to be calm and stick to the facts, to not get swept up in the emotions because young woo isn’t ‘supposed to understand or feel them like other people’ —and then my girl comes in and smashes her fist on his desk like WE HAVE TO GET THIS MOM BACK TO HER KID. so beautiful and just so funny and one of the best things i’ve ever seen.
and honestly?? why didn’t anyone think that sending young woo someone who doesn’t have a mother and has never really gotten to grow up with one, wouldn’t result in her being overly invested? like just because she’s diagnosed with autism doesn’t mean she never misses her mom, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t care and just assuming that is really unkind to her and other individuals diagnosed with autism.
we have seen her over the last five episodes start to discover and navigate and better understand her emotions (and other’s) but it seems that a lot of the workplace/colleagues fall into internalized bias whenever it’s not directly in their face.
i’ve already said this a few times but this writing is fucking top notch. this writing has layers and is deep and meaningful, it’s presenting things in a fun and humorous way but it’s presenting the correct things and raising alot of questions. this show should make you think ‘wait why did he just assume….’ and really make you question how nuerotypical people treat people who are nuerodiverse.

i think the flower of evil finale was missing two scenes: one with in seo and another with jung mi sook.
like, they were both set as parallels. jung mi sook was hyun soo's, as directly established ("we both can't understand why this happened to us") and she was amnesic too! also, her husband was looking for her (parallel with ji won) and he turned into a murderer in doing so (parallel with hyun soo). considering all this, i think it would have been good to have a scene in the middle of the epilogue where they meet again, concluding their story and hammering in ji won's and hyun soo's.
likewise, in seo's story marked the beginning of acts 1 and 2 of the main story. in the first episode, he reveals the truth about his father even though it might ruin his life, setting expectations of 1) one can be a good father and a bad person, and 2) you cannot lie to yourself forever. you cannot run forever.
in the second act, while ji won's marriage is crumbling under the weight of the truth, in seo tells her he regrets confessing, and that he should have kept living in his household of lies. he's run away from home and eventually falls victim of human trafficking, but in the end he's saved and wants to go home. it's all okay as long as he's home. this parallels the conclussion of that arc, when hyun soo confesses to ji won and says he doesn't want to run away from the police (you cannot run forever) and that he wants to go home. this also parallels the ending, of course, when he once again returns home, where he finds out he really loved ji won and that he was loved back.
however, we're not shown in seo returning home. and it would have fit in the epilogue, i think, once again emphasizing the theme of returning home to your loved ones, despite all adversities, despite the truth threatening to tear you apart. still, it was a good finale without them.
(another thing i was expecting from ep16, considering it heavily parallels that episode when hyun soo pretended to have amnesia, was for him to recover his memories when he saw his daughter. especially considering they were clearly saving their reunion for the last scene. like, he would see her and then start reciting her birthday, her school... just like he did in that other episode. tbh, i was a bit thrown off when that didn't happen, and would have preferred it to happen... but even so, i really liked the ending!)

For the WIP game, I literally cannot choose over these ones so handing it over to you, blue! I know I'm asking for too much but can you please let me see at least the idea or an excerpt of 3 WIPs I listed below (all of them sounds so good i wanna see the idea behind them or an excerpt of them 😭)
Selectively mute KRS AU
A Blessed Curse
What Kind of Alternate Universe Setting Is This!?
The Scam Artist
Dump it all on Trash, why don't you!
Who do you think you are (and why you're wrong)
Dragon Ex Machina
Cale Henituse gets (a vacation) kidnapped
Hm... Why don't I give you summaries about each one?
1. Selectively mute KRS AU
Due to his previous experiences, Kim Rok Soo is a very reserved person. He doesn't speak, unless it concerns work. So you can imagine the stress he's under when he suddenly becomes Cale Henituse.... ...Elsewhere, the original Cale curses the God of Death. It would have been nice to have a warning not to talk too much as Kim Rok Soo!! How could he have know that him saying a simple sentence would make people faint from shock!?
2. A Blessed Curse
Is there a god which can offer Cale his much desired slacker life? Actually, there is! The god of memory offers Cale a deal, to which he agrees without any hesitation. He's very pleased with the results... However, all his well-meaning friends see is a terrible curse being put upon Cale. Naturally, they must break it!! (Or, a story where people of the world temporarily get amnesia about Cale being the Hero who saved both continents – except Cale's closest companions, that is. Cue classic TCF shenanigans and misunderstandings.)
3. What Kind of Alternate Universe Setting Is This!?
Kim Rok Soo fell asleep reading a fantasy novel. The next thing he knew, he found himself transmigrated into the body of one of its minor villains, except… …Except everything is completely wrong!!! Why is Cale Henituse a respected Commander? Why does he have multiple Ancient Powers? And why is Choi Han his body guard here instead of the guy who beat him up? Where did all of these Beast People even come from?? And wait a second, is that a f***ing Dragon?! (A Crack Amnesia AU set right after the war against the Indomitable Alliance, where Cale literally trips over a rock and loses his memory for a day – until Eruhaben can come and heal him. Complete chaos and hilarity ensues.)
4. The Scam Artist
A companion piece to a fic called "body hopping for dummies" by thursdays on AO3.
"So what you're telling me is, this guy…" Kim Rok Soo gestures at his newly acquired body with a suspicious gleam in his eyes. "…is super rich? I mean he is in charge of the evil organization and all."
"Oh no," Choi Jung Soo responds dramatically.
"Oh yes." Kim Rok Soo grins widely, making the others shiver in sudden fear. "That bastard stole everything from me, right? So it's only fair that I'll steal it all back."
"…Are you sure we actually kicked out White Star out of that body?" Cage whispers to Choi Jung Soo, doubtful. 'That smile still seems pretty evil.' she thinks.
"Yep," Jung Soo replies with a deadpan. "That's Rok Soo alright."
"I like this weird human!" Raon decides suddenly.
A short story of what happens after the heroes defeat the White Star and ressurect Kim Rok Soo in his original body: Chaos, Destruction, and the Friendship that grows between them.
5. Dump it all on Trash, why don't you!
Cale Henituse was just having a drink and causing trouble, as usual. He did not expect to be approached by someone wearing his own face, supposedly a transmigrator from the future in another dimension. Now he's expected to save the world by himself?! Damn that bastard!!! (Or, the story where KRS!Cale gives 18-year-old OG!Cale exposition before the Birth of a Hero starts, in order for him to change the story on his own. Will OG!Cale be able to manage? Is he ready to become single parent?? And why does he have to adopt people who are older than him??)
6. Who do you think you are (and why you're wrong)
What if Cale had reacted a bit differently to the Message from the God of Death…? After all, he had been okay with losing his old life only because he had been alone before. However, that wasn't the case anymore: now he had friends and children dependant on him. Cale knew the feeling of being left behind and wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy… Except it seemed like the God of Death wouldn't be giving him a choice, just like Kim Rok Soo wasn't given one when he first transmigrated. Die or return to your old world? Either way, his family would lose him. Does that mean the previous owner of this body was going to come back and take what was rightfully his…? Just how was Cale going to explain that to everyone? How could he simply disappear and leave a stranger in his place? (Or, a fic which forces Cale to act slightly out of character and TELL his friends things for a change. He also picks a different "least distressing" part of the God of Death's message.)
7. Dragon Ex Machina
Eruhaben has NOT asked for this. This must be that unlucky bastard's fault – his bad luck seems to be contagious, since breaking through the Sealed God's Temple wall apparently causes the intruder to be termporarily transported into a parallel universe. Now, Eruhaben has absolutely no clue why Cale in this dimension is called Kim Rok Soo, or why his face reminds him very much of the White Star for some reason. Nevertheless, Eruhaben would recognize his wayward child in any form, and there's no way he would let this dimension's version of him die by the hands of some Goddamned Unranked Moster. (Or, the story of how Eruhaben swooped in to save KRS's team and spare him the most heartbreaking moment of his life. Also, Dragons can dispell half-baked curses, because KRS deserves to live a happy life.)
8. Cale Henituse gets (a vacation) kidnapped
The horror! Raon and the cats go on a short shopping trip, but the moment they take their eyes off of Cale their guardian gets kidnapped! Luckily for them, they are well trained and capable of tracking him down with no problem. Unluckily for Cale, this is the most relaxing event he had experienced in months - can't they pick him up a bit later, please…? Meanwhile, the poor unsuspecting kidnappers have no idea what they're getting themselves into. This is what happens when you don't check the identity of your abduction target.

Another key moment that I was too caught up in to blog about was when Cale and Choi Han met after Choi Han received the records from Choi Jung Soo.
We did kind of suspect it was coming, given Cale heard that Choi Han had collapsed after saying something about Choi Jung Soo - and at the time he seemed fairly calm about the prospect? His attitude seemed to be 'Choi Han might figure things out and be upset with me, but at least he's alive. We can deal with it so long as he's alive.'
And then there he is, burning up a lake of dead mana during a major fight, when Raon reports that Choi Han woke up...
Woke up crying, shouting about 'Kim Rok Soo', and immediately headed for Cale.
I guess first of all - what an amazing way to get one of Cale's closest compatriots to understand some of Cale's secrets. And history.
We all know Cale wasn't going to say shit, and his friends have seen enough to trust him even though they can tell Cale keeps a lot to himself, but we now have a solid reason (Choi Jung Soo passing along his ability, which required the records/memories) for at least one of them to know more. (With Alberu learning more later, and I suspect others eventually learning too).
This signifies yet another major shift in their relationship. One where Choi Han is much more of a friend than the subordinate he acted as initially. Not that he stops acting as Cale's knight, but there's a closeness that wasn't really there before. (All of which becomes even more obvious with Cale, Choi Han, and Alberu during the sealed god's test - and they are an amazing trio there! It was so fun starting my reread and remembering where they began, because they grow so close over the course of the story).
We also see some of what Choi Han saw, and I think this is the first time we really got an outside perspective of who Kim Rok Soo was before the transmigration.
Not just that, but hints of what Kim Rok Soo, Choi Jung Soo, and Lee Soo Hyuk were like before their tragic fight against the unranked monster.
We see how Kim Rok Soo supported the team with information, how he grabbed a metal board to block an attack on Choi Jung Soo, and even broke an arm in the process. Something Cale skipped over in his own flashback to the same event.
For the first time, we can truly see how Cale only tells part of the story...
We can tell Kim Rok Soo was devastated, not that it wasn't obvious before, but Choi Jung Soo was worried about him.
We also learn that, as Choi Jung Soo put it:
He would also take this Kim Rok Soo who claimed he was going to be a slacker and put him to work. If he left this punk to be a slacker, he was bound to go cause trouble somewhere. He and the team leader discussed making him farm with them, so that they won’t have to go save his ass.
Choi Han himself indicates that he figured out that Cale was Kim Rok Soo partly because they acted exactly the same.
And really, what sorts of things did Kim Rok Soo get up to, that they think he's a loose canon like that?
So team leader Kim Rok Soo probably was also constantly making trouble... Ah, the stories Team 1 could probably tell.
We have all that history, have Choi Han rushing to meet Cale on the battlefield...
And then we have one of the most ridiculous encounters imaginable.
Cale seems awkward and unsure on a way I don't think we've ever seen before. He's stuttering and worrying about things that seem kind of more a distraction than real concerns, and is avoiding his gaze (though he did make an opening for Choi Han in the wall of fire he set up while burning the dead mana, so he wasn't exactly avoiding Choi Han).
We also see how Cale is closely observing Choi Han for signs of anger, how he focuses on Choi Han's unthinking and instinctual touching of his sword which - is probably because of his traumatic childhood? We can see some of what Choi Han was thinking and knew he wasn't even considering hurting Cale, but Cale was obviously concerned about that).
And in the midst of all this. In the midst of this big dramatic moment, we have Raon commenting on how weird their being and - perhaps the most amusing part - the cheapskate ancient power still purifying the dead mana.
Yes, cheapskate. Good job. Keep on purifying that dead mana while Cale and Choi Han have their big moment.
Oh, whoops. I guess a major battle isn't really the time or place for that. Enter Dorph the Lion King, who won't even let them finish their conversation.
This whole encounter is equally moving and hilarious, really. And it's so nice that Cale finally has someone who really knows him.

Reactions to Tsunami Creator's Chapter 172
TL;DR - HD evaluates LSH's swordsmanship. LSH provokes HD and Sword Saint. LSH asks Beacrox if he wants to learn from him. Beacrox makes a decision after watching CH and Cale. Yoon and Hoya defeated. Blood Cult's home is Hainan Island.
Soos? LSH = ✅ CJS = ✅
Lee Soo Hyuk We didn't get a battle chapter. It was more of a battle analysis one. HD viewed LSH's sword (and ability to cut anything) as strange. He analyzed LSH's sword to be the so-called "Heart Sword", the highest and purest state one could reach with the sword wherein one puts their heart/mind into their sword.
And then there was LSH provoking both HD and Sword Saint with words like "You're slow?" and "Can't you push him back?" HD simply laughed it off, and Sword Saint got more serious.
There was also LSH's analysis that Sword Saint was more powerful than HD.
Beacrox Beacrox finally got some screentime. LSH had asked Beacrox if he wants to learn his sword, reasoning that Beacrox would learn more from him than CH because Beacrox was stubborn and similar to LSH himself.
This was interesting because LSH claimed that he somehow knew how abilities are manifested. Did he learn about it from GoD? Or was it something he found out when he was still in Earth 1?
Beacrox knew that he was not a genius like the others, but did not feel inferior because of it. And he made up his mind to learn from LSH after watching the other 'geniuses' fight and seeing Cale. I think that part about Cale revealed his loyalty and how much he cared about Cale. He felt that Cale not coughing blood was strange though... 😂
Choi Jung Soo This puppy is such a... 🤣🤣🤣
Cale: *sees a beaten up Yoon being brought by CH* Cale: (She must have said something to get the gentle CH angry) CJS: Hey. This gal said something about turning Raon into a jiangshi. Cale: ... What? CJS: Uh, um... She said so! I heard it! My uncle heard it too! CJS: *suddenly gives the excuse that he was going to help others as he runs away* Raon: Human! I won't be a jiangshi! Because I'm great! But why is CJS suddenly running away? Did he do something wrong?
Ending Remarks Today's chapter focused on LSH and Beacrox, which I honestly liked. We rarely get the perspectives of the people in Cale's group, after all. Next chapter will probably be Cale heading off to Hainan Island where the Blood Cult's real base is. It's an island, so... more tsunami? 😂 Even Water AP is excited too. 🥰

Favorite tcf headcanon you never told anyone about (or you did)
OH MAN.
Choi Han with monolided eyes.
Sometimes when I draw Choi Han or the Soos I would look into the mirror and think about using my own eyes as references, and that got me thinking about Choi Han falling into the TBoaH world which is vaguely European-inspired, and how the idea of him being the probably only Asian-looking person in this world is just so interesting to me. Choi Han already doesn't belong to that world, so the idea of his appearance further distinguishing him apart from this "novel" world is just—interesting? I like Choi Han being visibly a foreigner. I like him being drawn with ethnically east asian features. I watch TV and see typically Caucasian features and compare them to mine— my nose, my skin colour, my monolids, all so very Asian. If youre Asian and have stood in room full of white people, lemme tell you haha, you definitely feel how much you stand out—you can also see it, too! I love the diverse features us humans take, and I love the monolids that are so common amongst my ethnic group.
Choi Han being South Korean is so important to his identity, and while features are of course diverse in every ethnic group, there are as well large common traits as well, and I just think him with monolids would be so neat to that aspect of him. In a character design standpoint it's just so good, too! The webtoon doesn't show this, and though the art is incredibly beautiful ofc, sometimes I find myself wishing Choi Han's design had that little detail—so minuscule but so significant haha!
Also imagine Kim Rok Soo waking up in Cale Henituse's body. Local South Korean man wakes up in the body of a white European man—the fact that the guy has accepted his situation so quickly really speaks of his mentality (and we all know how his backstory went for him to grow into such a person :')) but STILL.
I also like to think that, as the only South Korean-looking person in the entire world, KRS, as Cale, probably finds a bit of comfort just looking at Choi Han, perhaps. A small reminder of home—maybe he even shares the same eyes as Choi Jung Soo! And since I am unable to hold back my choicale soul, I also like to think that Cale would probably call Choi Han's eyes beautiful at some point. Probably offhandedly, or maybe in a rare show of quiet tenderness—and in response Choi Han would smile very brightly, his eyes crinkling softly at the corners, and he'd call Cale-nim beautiful too (to which Cale would ofc deadpan at hahaha and Choi Han would follow up by saying that KRS is beautiful too! CJS' memories definitely seem to agree)
I definitely went on for a bit too long but yEAH SKSJFKSKDK that's pretty much it! As an artist and a writer, this is definitely one of my biggest and favourite LCF headcanons that I have 🛐

More thoughts/information on Beyond Evil...
In Korean, it's quite common to use "우리 (literally "our") to show the intimacy between you and the person you're referring to. It can be considered as an equivalent of "my" in English in a way. Dong Sik's mother says "우리 동식이 (our Dong Sik-yi)" for her son; Nam Sang Bae has Dong Sik's number registered as the same on his phone; Jung Je's mother says "우리 아들 (our son)" for her son; Kang Jin Mook and Dong Sik each says "우리 민정이 (our Min Jung-yi)" for Min Jung. As you can see, it's not something used between family members only. (And yes, the "yi" rule applies here too!) Meaning, I can totally see Dong Sik calling Joo Won "우리 주원이 (our Joo Won-yi)" when they're in a romantic relationship. Joo Won might not like it because it can sound like Dong Sik is babying him, depending on how he delivers it. Like:
Dong Sik: Aigoo, is our Joo Won-yi mad at me now?
Joo Won: Don't baby me, Lee Dong Sik-ssi!
(Again, the Merlin-calling-Arthur-my-lord-or-sire-sarcastically vibe)
At this point, I wonder Han Ki Hwan has ever referred to Joo Won "우리 주원이 (our Joo Won-yi) in the show. Did he when he met Hwang Gwang Young and Cho Gil Gu? Was the line something like "Are you our Joo Won-yi's colleagues?"? Whether my memory is correct or not, that's the only moment I can think of when Han Ki Hwan would ever say it. Even if he did, it would be closer to meaning "my son." Honestly, I'm more familiar with his cold/angry "Han Joo Won"s.
In Korea, women don't change their surnames when they get married. In other words, there is no name change for women due to marriage and divorce. That's why it is quite difficult to translate "Ms" and "Mrs" to Korean. This also means you can't know a mother's surname from her child's surname. For example, the name of Yoo Jae Yi's mother is Han Jung Im; Han Joo Won's mother, Lee Soo Yeon; Kang Min Jung's mother, Yoon Mi Hye; Park Jung Je's mother, Do Hae Won. Therefore, you should avoid using, say, "Mrs. Lee" for Lee Dong Sik's mother or "Mrs. Oh" for the Oh siblings' mother.
Okay, that's all for now. Thank you for reading!
