#hopping on the trend jumpscare i’m from hong kong surprise #i haven’t seen that many hk mikus around #lowkey chat i think i kinda ate with this one #however i will say i am coloring in the dark so if any colors look off that’s why #and also i haven’t opened this program in literal months i jumped straight into this no warmup no nothing #miku is what pulls me out of art block apparently i was locked in for 5 hours STRAIGHT #someone needs to teach me how to paint properly holy #not sure how i feel about the bottom left one but that was a quick one anyways #i am from hk originally but i haven’t been back in years so i have no idea about the culture other than food and mirror #OKAY let me explain the context #street food is a big thing in hk and quick and easy things like fish balls egg waffles and like siu mai and wonton noodles are popular #back then people really would just squat down on the side of the road or right in front of the shop to eat it and go #but i don’t think anyone does that anymore city life and all that #ohh i should have done instant noodles breakfasts god i loved those #if anyones from hk if you go to the causeway bay mtr station exit that leads up to the big road near soho. do they still sell siu mai there #that shit was BANGER i remember asking for them all the time #a good majority of parents in hk would get their daughters ears pierced as a baby something about them not feeling as much pain idk #that’s just what i was told #i used the neon for her friendly standard greeting cause i wanted to incorporate the neon signs somehow without actually drawing a whole bg #lots of neon signs in hk. i heard they had to take them down cause of light pollution which is sad but understandable #everyone got their shoes from dr kong. at least when i was younger they did #boy band is self explanatory. i heard they’re really popular my mom listens to them #oh i had her messing with her shoes cause hk people move FAST. you stop for one second and you get shoved #so like a fun little allusion #gave her black roots just for fun. she is violating every school uniform code possible #this is all based off of my memory by the way so like. anyone who knows this better than i do hit me up #hatsune miku #miku from my culture #jellos scribbles #i haven’t tag yapped in so long welcome back my love i missed you

i dont mean this as like some kind of gotcha or whatever im a big fan of both concatenative and AI vocal synths pretty equally but i am curious if in like 5-10 years we're gonna get like some sort of nostalgia for the vaguely underwater sounding cevio AI 1.0 early vocoder-esque engine noise. whats that quote about like cd skipping and tape grain. the thing that we hated the most in old tech is the first thing we try to recreate for nostalgia or something like that

#the early AI vocoder sound while difficult to work with can sound really interesting #its annoying if ur trying to do funky stuff with pitchbending and other parameters because it like #eats up it all up and buries it underwater LOL BUT it can also sound like really interesting effects by default #it works well for housey edm and slightly unusual pop. i think kafu and haru especially. stuff were you want to sound a little artificial #but not flat like concatenative stuff more warbly #will people remember how hated it all was. will people remember #in general a lot of vocal synthesis preferences is like what engine noise do you like most #im the worlds only V3 engine noise hater despite liking v1/2/4 noise LOL #(its FINE its inoffensive its serviceable but i think thats why i dont like it <3 )#(like most vocals outside of a couple miku appends and maybe like. the zola guys. avanna. see u. a few other non jpn vocals)#(they all got really blurred and homogenized to sound like eachother in v3. v4 updates and remasters i much preferred)#i dont mind sv's super SUPER breathy noise LOL and cevio/voisona 2.0 gets clippy in interesting ways #i looooooove v1 noise i know i already said this but i looooooove it the same way i love like. dectalk #i love you paul. my perfect paul. eaiou. eaiou.#wait im getting distracted. i couldnt tell you much about v5 tho. i lowkey kind of missed it entirely. i like the meika gyals tho #but yeah i dunno. i wonder if people are gonna miss cevio 1 and v6ai noise in a few years

So sick of people saying Vergil would love Hatsune Miku as if Kamui Gakupo, the literal samurai vocaloid who is prone to madness in his songs, isn't right fucking there to fit all of Vergil's weeaboo ass aesthetic. Fake fucking fans if you're going to assign a vocaloid to a character at least get their tastes right!!!!

You ever do the thing you've been putting off and then youre mad at yourself for putting it off cause it took like 2 hours at most???

#i still gotta get the shit i picked off the floor off my bed but it's organized up there i just gotta figure out what to do with the art #anyways uuuh y'know that tip that if you have ADHD and struggle with keeping a clean space to clean in sections?? yeah that works.#this section isn't entirely clean and i still have a lot of the room to do for sure #but that was the easiest cleaning my room session ever and i met my goal and then some #i'm getting a new bookshelf today so i have more storage space and after i get that built i get to do literally one of my favorite things!!#i get to reorganize my entire room!! i am being ao genuine now i love organizing things!#you'd think my room would be more organized i just lose steam after a bit #but I'm setting up my ✨Gamer Space✨ today so I am. super hyped for that #if I get far enough I can even put my lights up!#it's great the bookshelf is like. the piece I've been missing #once i get the bookshelf my Game consoles can get off the floor and have an actual home #then i can put the TV on the bookshelf and get it off my desk #then i can move my games and miku figures off the other bookshelf and move them to the desk and new bookshelf respectively #then i can put my books and the old bookshelf and actually have it functional as a bookshelf. a shelf for books #cause it IS holding my books but that is one shelf and it's running out of space. if i can at LEAST get the consoles off that bookshelf #i'd have room for more books #and maybe i can get my sewing machines off the floor #i really need to get rid of one i don't need two sewing machines #anyways very excited fjdbfbsf
