Summary:

The plaza has been rebuilt and its animatronics all fixed up and put back to their former glory. 

Eclipse is now the main daycare attendant running the show. But Sun and Moon notice something…off about the eldest brother. They immediately alert their mother to get to the root of the issue

It had been a good three months since the pizzaplex reopened. 

And so far it seemed things were finally getting back to normal. 

No incidents, no crazy animatronics from underground showing up, no weird viruses. 

No, for once, it was peaceful. The daycare was winding down, Eclipse in charge now with his two brothers being able to relax in their shared mindscape, only being able to interact with the digital world whenever one of them was fronting. 

Eclipse spent that last hour cleaning and putting things up and generally just making sure everything was where it needed to be. 

From the digital scape where Sun and moon could see everything since Eclipse was rebooted, the twins watched their older brother take care of well….everything. 

“Eclipse?” Sun asked while they watched Eclipse clean. “Are you sure you don’t want one of us to take over? You’ve worked really hard today…”

“You keep pushing and you’ll pop a wire…” Moon muttered, jolting as Sun elbowed him in the ribs. “Ghk! Ow!” 

“Shh. What Moon means is, we don’t want you to overwork yourself.” 

Eclipse hummed a chuckle and shook his head. 

“Oh I’m fine guys! You’ve been doing this for so long. I’ll be fine!” 

Sun and Moon looked at each other. Then back to Eclipse. 

“Are you sure Clipsey…?” Sun asked again. 

“Positive! It’s all super! You deserve a long break too!” Eclipse smiled as he walked off to get more work done. Though once he was far enough, he sighed to himself. He had to work hard. He had to prove he was useful…he was good. Or else…they may shut him down, take him away from Sun and Moon again…he couldn’t go back in a nap. He just couldn’t! 

The twins looked at each other as Eclipse walked off. 

“Think we should talk to mom?” Sun asked. 

“Maybe…” Moon sighed. “Maybe she can talk some sense into him. Before he ends up making himself collapse.” 

The two floated up to the balcony where their mother was sleeping. 

“Mooom, can we talk to you?” Sun called, scooting over to sit beside the large dragon’s head, the sleeping beast that hid in the loft of the daycare. 

She gave no answer however, just slumbered away. 

“Mom?” Sun called again while Moon facepalmed. 

“Right…mom can’t hear us in the digiscape…” 

“Oh…shoot…what do we do now?” 

“Have to get her attention another way.” Moon sighed. He looked around and grabbed one of the barrel towers, tossing it a bit of ways away. The squeaky sound caused Ana’s ears to perk immediately. She lifted her head and blinked the sleep out of her eyes. 

“Boys..?” Ana yawned. “That you?” 

Moon grabbed another barrel. “Sun help me out.” 

“Ohhh…we’re making such a mess…”

“We’ll clean it later. For now, mom needs to talk to Eclipse and he’s not going to tell her on his own.” 

Sun sighed but complied with his brother. Ana watched tiredly as the two moved things around, though from her perspective it just looked like things were moving on their own.  

She stood, seeing for the moment, things stopped moving. The dragon tilted her head as she sees the barrels were spelling words. 

MOM CLIPE

“Clipe…?” 

Moon looked to Sun. “We really need to get you spelling lessons…” 

“I know how to spell Clipsey’s name! It’s just hard to make an S with the barrels! And we only had so many!”

Moon sighed. Until Ana called again. 

“Boys. You talkin bout Eclipse?” She flipped a barrel over. “Sun side for yes, moon side for no.” 

“Oooh! That’s a smart idea!” Sun clapped while Moon took the barrel and flipped it to the sun side. 

“Okay…is he alright?” 

Moon bit his lip. He flipped the barrel to the moon side and then again to the sun side. It made Ana tilt her head. 

“…is that a ‘I don’t know’?” 

It stayed on the Sun side. 

“Alright…want me to talk to him?” 

Moon left it on the Sun side, pushing it toward her. 

Ana nodded. 

“Alright…leave it to me sugastars.”

Sun and moon sighed in relief as their mother left the loft. 

“Okay…if anyone can get Eclipse to talk it’ll be mom..” 

Moon nodded in agreement with his brother. 

“Let’s hope…mom sure doesn’t let anything slip past her…”

Ana jumped down to the floor of the daycare and did a quick scan to look for her eldest. There he was, organizing the nap time mats. She slowly walked over to him. 

“Eclipse?” Ana beckoned gently, causing the bot to jump. 

“O-oh! Mom! I didn’t think you were awake! I’m sorry, was I too loud? I can be quieter!” 

But Ana shook her head. “No, dawnrose. Yer brothers woke me up, not you. Seems they’re a bit worried about you.” 

Eclipse blinked and forced a chuckle.

“W-worried? About me? Ohoho that’s silly! I’m right as rain!”

Ana tilted her head a bit. She laid down in front of the attendant. He started looking a bit more nervous. 

“Ya sure? I know ya been working pretty hard lately…And I’m pretty sure I’ve only seen ya give Sun or Moon the wheel after hours…”

“W-well uh…I want them to be able to spend time with you and-and they’ve worked hard for the past few years and I just…want to give them a nice long break…”

Ana rumbled lightly and leaned her head down to nuzzle Eclipse’s hat. 

“Is that all hun? You know you three are supposed to be a team. You can switch out with them during work too and-“

“NO!”

Ana jumped as Eclipse suddenly snapped, something he…well never did. He was usually so quiet and soft spoken, he rarely raised his voice unless he was pushed enough…

She blinked at him, seeing Eclipse cover his mouth and shrink his rays in. 

“I-I-I’m sososo sorry mom, I didn’t mean to, I-I-I-I”

“Eclipse.” Ana interrupted, her voice stern but caring. “Talk to me hun. What’s wrong lately? Why are you so against switching with yer brothers? Out of the three of you, ya never struck me as the one who doesn’t like to share…”

Eclipse fiddled with his hands, fighting with the tightness in his chest. Ana lowered her head to try and get him to look at her. 

“Dawnrose…please suga-”

“I don’t want to go back.” 

“Go back? What do you-“

Ana was taken back as Eclipse started crying, though she didn’t hesitate to hug him to her chest. Eclipse clutched her fur, sobbing against her. 

“It’s alright hun, it’s okay…”

But Eclipse shook his head, hiccuping through his tears. 

“It’s not! I don’t want to go back! What if I get stuck again?! What if Sun and Moon get infected again and-and no one reboots us! What if I wake up to the daycare in ruins again!? I don’t want that! I don’t want to be trapped in a nap again! I don’t want to nap…!” 

Ana frowned, rubbing her eldest star’s back as he released everything. 

“Is that why you’ve been takin charge so much…?” 

Eclipse sniffed and nodded with a whimper. 

“Oh sugar star…”

“I-I’m so selfish aren’t I…hardly letting Sun and Moon out just cause I don’t want to get stuck again.” He hiccuped and buried his face into the fur before him. “I-I’m such a bad big brother!”

“Now you stop that. Yer not selfish, yer not a bad brother…yer scared. And for good reason. What you boys went through was traumatic. What you went through was traumatic. And ya ain’t keepin them from comin out, yer just keepin them from workin and helping you.”

Eclipse wiped his eyes, leaning against the dragon as he processed her words. 

“St-still…I know it isn’t right and…I just kept doing it…I’m so scared of napping and not waking up again for who knows how long…” 

Ana softened her eyes on him and hummed. 

“Well, you want to know something?”

“Wh-what?”

The dragon lowered her head and nuzzled noses with him. 

“Should anything like that happen, yer brothers and I will find a way to bring you right back. I ain’t gonna let ya disappear like that, I wouldn’t just leave yer brothers to get infected either.”

“H-how can you promise that…?”

Ana chuckled at his question. “Cause I’m yer mother, and you’d be amazed what I’d go through to make sure you boys are with me, safe and happy.” She nuzzled under his crescent, getting a slight giggle. 

“Mahaham!” 

“There’s my lil dawnrose’s sweet smile~ maybe we should find a way to keep that smile on there, hm?” 

Eclipse flinched a bit, giving his mother a nervous look as he backed away again. 

“M-mahaham…n-now there’s no need to-to EEP!”

Eclipse tripped as he backed up, Ana catching him with her tail. 

“Nuh uh, suga, you know the rules by now. When my sugastars are upset and have gotten all their frustrations out. It’s time to put a smile back on their sweet lil faces~” 

Eclipse couldn’t help the flood of giggles that escaped him, the giddy anticipation bubbling in his circuits. 

“What’s so funny, dawnrose? I’m not even touching you!” Ana chuckled, her tail laying him in front of her. 

“B-behehe gehehentle…” 

Ana smiled down at the giggly bot and nuzzled his cheek. “Always am, baby. You know what to do when you’ve had enough. Are you ready?”

Eclipse nodded with a snicker. Ana hummed a chuckle, she started easy as she always did for her boys. Pressing her snout to Eclipse’s side and nuzzling. Unfortunately for Eclipse, he was twice more ticklish than Sun and Moon combined! Being the perfect mix of them and all. 

He let out a loud squeak and immediately leaned away from the cold nose and tickly whiskers. 

“EEEHEHEE! Mahahaham! Ohoho stahahars!” 

“I’m barely doing anything~ you can’t possibly be this ticklish, suga~” 

“I-Ihihi ahahaham! Y-your pffteehehehee snrkhkheehee! Your whihihiskehehers!” 

Ana chuckled with him, enjoying playing with him and hearing him genuinely laugh again. 

“My whiskers? Are they that tickly Clipsey? What if I nuzzle…” she moved her head and started nuzzling around his belly. 

“Kh-KEEHEHEHEE! Oh stahaHAHARS! Not-nyahat my-mihi tuhuhuhummy! Mahahamaaahahahaaa!!”

“Ohh but I love gettin yer tummies~ y'all get squeakier than a batch of croc hatchlings~” 

Eclipse snorted at the comparison and shook his head. 

“Nyoohohohoho!” 

“Oh that’s right, yer more like my lil fluttering squeaky bats~” Ana teased with a giggle of her own. “Tiiickle tickle my sweet lil rose~” 

“Ohoho dohont tehehehease!” Eclipse begged, kicking his legs but hardly making an effort to escape his mothers tickly muzzle. 

“Why not~ I thought you boys loved the teasing~ all the tick tick tickies and kitchie koos.” All while she teased, her claws playfully crawled around his sides and belly. 

Between it all, Eclipse spun his rays, his hat flying off his head and cackled, bringing his arms to his chest while he leaned and tilted his torso away on instinct. 

“Ohohoho eee! Oh stahahahars! You-you are sohoho meheHEHEAAAN!!” Eclipse squealed as Ana’s claw found his dent. 

“NONONO NYAHAHAT THEHEHERE! MYAHAHAHAHAAAM!” 

Ana chuckled, lightly tracing around the little dent on his tummy, mimicking that of a belly button on a doll. 

“I swear this spot and yer rays are yer worst spots huh~? Even more so than on yer brothers~”

“NYAHAHAHAA!” 

Ana stopped a moment to let him breathe. She kept a paw over his belly, while he giggled and lowered his arms to hold her paw. 

“You-you stohopped?” He snickered, almost sounding disappointed. 

“Oh not even close hun.” Ana chuckled. “Just don’t wanna overwhelm you. Yer gettin the full treatment tonight~” 

Eclipse grinned anxiously. But excited too. He had begun to love this game with their mother as much as his brothers did. It was nuts how much it helped him feel so much better. 

Ana gently lifted his arms, keeping them above his head.

“Okay. You ready?” 

Eclipse nodded. “R-ready m-mama..”

Ana licked his nose assuringly. Then her claws gently and teasingly skated over the ball joints under his arms. Eclipse yelped and fought to keep his arms up. But his mother’s claws made it extremely difficult as they expertly scritched and glided over the metal. 

“Ohohoho geheheheez! Nonononyohohoho! Ihihit tihihihiAHAHahahahiiickles!!” 

“It tiackles? Well that’s odd, it’s supposed to tickle.” Ana hummed playfully. “Hang on, let’s test here.” She started gently playing with the wires between her fingers, gently rolling them and using her claws to glide across them. 

“Does this tickle dawnrose~?”

“SQUEAAHAHAHAHAHAA!! OHOHOHO MY GAHAHAHAAASH! YES YEHEHEHES YES! IHIHIT TIIHIHICKLES! MAHAHAMAHAAA NOTTHEWIRESPLEHEHEHEASE!!” 

Immediately Ana stopped and let him catch his breath again. 

“Okay, so wires, dent and rays are the bad spots.” She chuckled. “You okay?” 

Eclipse giggled but nodded. 

“I-I’m okahahay. I’m hahaving fun ahactually.” 

“I’m glad.” Ana smiled before starting to nuzzle his rays. “Gonna keep going okay?” 

Eclipse nodded with a giggle, her whiskers on his rays always got him in a stream. 

“Ohohokahahay! Eep! Why-whihi the rahahahays?!”

Ana chuffed against them, earning another quick squeal from Eclipse thanks to the quick puff of air on his rays. 

“Cause they’re cute, I love seeing how expressive they are and I know you and Sun love getting any kind of attention here.” 

Eclipse felt his face heat up at the loving words. He turned away with more giggles. 

“Now don’t you hide from me mister~!” Ana cooed, bringing a claw around to scratch his rays. 

“AHYEEHEHEHEHEE! Mahaham no! Ohoho my rahahahays!!” 

She chuckled pressing a few kisses to his cheek before stopping and leaving his rays alone. 

Eclipse winded down again. 

“Ohoho gohosh…you’re too goohood at thihis…” 

“Well I am yer mom hun.” Ana smirked. “I’m supposed to know how to help you boys feel better and forget all the badness in the day~” she licked his face again. 

“Ready for one more trick I know worked wonders on Sun and Moon?” 

Eclipse blinked curiously. He hadn’t known much bout his brothers’ games in the past. Usually as they wanted eclipse to find out for himself. 

“Oh sure!” 

Ana nodded, laying him in her arms and taking his slippers off revealing the orange lil feet and blue paw pads decorated with golden sparkles. 

“Ready hun?” 

Eclipse looked up at her, nervous and confused. He…really had no idea how bad his feet were. This was the first time his mother fully explored his tickle spots. 

“Uhm…I-I think so..?” 

Ana smiled sweetly and nuzzled his cheek. “If it’s too much-“ 

“I know. Say red. It’s okay mom, I can handle it.” Eclipse smiled. Ana smiled and nodded. She brought her tail around and dusted the bottoms with the fluffy tip. 

Eclipse, not remotely prepared for it, yelped and immediately tried to yank his legs away, falling into a snorting fit. 

“W-wahahait! Wait wait wahahahait! Ohohoho my gohohosh! That’s bahad! Eeehehehe! Pfftahahahaa!! Ohoho stahars, ihihit tihihickles!” 

Ana chuckled, that was about what she expected. She paid close attention to him, but he gave no sign of stopping yet. 

“Hang in there dawnrose…this might be worse.” 

Her claws came around, gently scratching under and between his toes. 

Eclipse’s eyes went wide. He screamed in loud laughter that Ana had no idea he was even capable of. 

“GYAHAHAHAAAAHAHAA!! OHOHOHO NONONO MAHAHAHAM PLEHEHEHEASE AAAHAHAHAHAHAA OKOKOKOKAHAHAY RED! REDRED REHEHEHED!!” 

Ana immediately stopped, letting Eclipse pull his feet away and rubbed them together to get rid of the tickly phantom tingles that remained. 

“You okay?” Ana asked, slightly concerned that she went too far. 

“I…Ihim okay mahaham…hooohehehe…I had no idea I was so ticklish…” 

Ana hummed a chuckle and nuzzled him. “Nice to learn about yerself huh?”

Eclipse giggled and nodded. He then yawned not a second after. 

“…I think I’m ready for a nap…” 

Ana nodded with a smile. “Yer welcome to take one hun…yer brothers and I can look after you and everything else.” 

Eclipse nodded but frowned a moment later. 

“Hey…mom?” 

“Hm?” 

“Just…thank you…for everything. I got so scared I didn’t even think about having you should…things go awry again…I didn’t want sun and moon to be alone again…” 

Ana blinked at him. She went to say something but he spoke up again. 

“I just want you to know…I’m really grateful…and I love you.” 

Ana lowered her ears, a smile coming to her muzzle as she bonked and nuzzled foreheads with him. 

“I love you too sweetheart…I promised Sun and Moon I’d look after them, I’m making that promise to you too…” 

Eclipse smiled. He yawned again and hugged her fur, shutting his eyes as his colors slowly shifted. 

“Night mom…” 

“Goodnight my dawnrose…” 

She watched as Eclipse powered off and Sun took over the body. He blinked and looked up at her. 

“Is…is Clipsey okay?” 

Ana chuckled and nodded. 

“Yes firefly…I’m sure he’ll tell you everything when he wakes up again…for now be a bit patient with him okay? He’s had a long day.” 

Sun nodded, looking to the side and seeing Moon pick up Eclipse slumbering digital form. He smiled as he watched Moon take him somewhere more comfortable to sleep. 

“Okay mom…” Sun relaxed back against her. “I’m glad we have you…I don’t think he would’ve talked to us so easily…” 

“Well…he’s got a lot to heal from. All of us do. But we’ll get through it together.” Ana smiled and nuzzled his cheek. 

“Just like always…” 

Sun giggled gently pushing her muzzle away. 

“Love you mama.” 

“Love you boys too…come on now. Let’s get into the loft to rest before Moon needs to patrol. And maybe I’ll give you boys yer tickles too~” 

Sun eeped at that and shrunk his rays in shyly. Before he could protest though, Ana picked him up from his middle and carried him back to the loft, jumping up onto the balcony with all the grace of a large cat. The next thing that was heard was snorts and happy giggling from Sun. Laughter, as always, filling the daycare from one corner to the next.

Other than screaming at the end (DONT U DARE!!! DONT U DARE ECLIPSE!!) I love the bullying in this episode. Good Eclipse just said ‘gd this is the guy? im gonna bully him for even THINKING’ I wanted a fight but like. This is good too. Get him, Good Eclipse.

“You’re scared…. and broken…” With, literally any of the Glamrocks after Ruin(preferably Eclipse and Monty)-

"N-NO!! STOP IT!! BAD GATOR!! BAD GATOR!!!!"

Hearing the terrified shrieks of a certain daycare animatronic, you were quick to rush into the garage, stumbling upon a rather frightening scene:

Eclipse, who reverted back to Sun, was on the floor as Monty's teeth were latched onto his leg, violently tugging on it in an attempt to shred what little remained of the tattered striped material. The gator snarled all the while, shaking his head around while the former kicked and screamed.

It didn't take long for you to figure out how to separate the two, grabbing a metal pipe and tapping it loudly against the wall to get Monty's attention on you for a second.

"Montgomery Gator. Let him go NOW!!"

Upon hearing his name, he let go of Sun and stared at you, shrinking away as you approached. With a huff, you tossed the pipe towards the furthest part of the area. "Go fetch."

As he crawled away, that gave you a chance to examine Sun for any serious damage. You kneeled down, frowning as the traumatized animatronic was whimpering at the current state of his other leg--arguably the only "good" leg he had remaining.

'Jesus..I can't leave these two alone for even a second..'

"Are you okay?" You asked worriedly. "Is your leg still functional?"

"Yes, but alas....p-pretty patterns are all ruined now..." He bemoaned. "No stars..no stripes...all gone. No more..."

"Sun, I promise I'll get this sewn up for you. But listen...I warned you not to go anywhere near Monty." You set a gentle hand on his knee. "Why did you go near him?"

"I....we just wanted to say hi! I-I didn't think he'd hurt me! He used to be so nice! S-Sure I might have called his music too loud, but he didn't seem offended by it!!"

"What he did to you wasn't anything personal." You shook your head, sighing. "He's not himself. He's gone...completely feral now. Do you know what that means?"

He was still for a moment, before shaking his head.

"It means he's not gonna know who you are. You all have been stuck there for so long that...he's acting on animal instincts now. He barely even knows me anymore."

"..so..you mean....he thinks he's actually a gator?"

"Exactly." You nodded. "And until I can figure out how to restore his original personality, we'll have to treat him as such."

Sun remained silent, his gaze wandering back to Monty. He was gnawing on the pipe. It wasn't much, but it stopped him chewing on anything else in the garage, such as the important Fazbear Ent. equipment you stole from the plex.

It's not like anybody was going to use it anyways.

"It's not fair to him...o-or me. Why did this have to happen to us?"

"..I don't know. I wish I knew why, Sun." All you could do was shake your head, feeling sad that you couldn't simply repair them both like nothing even happened.

Like they weren't left to rot in that mall for years.

Your exploration of it was still fresh in your mind.

While you couldn't track down Chica, Roxy, or Freddy...you were able to at least find Eclipse and Monty, convincing them to come home with you as it was a lot safer.

Eclipse was more than willing despite being worried about when the children will return to the daycare, whereas Monty just started following you randomly, always being at your heels like a protective guard dog.

He was your favorite out of the Glamrocks, so maybe part of him remembers that--hence he never attacked you.

Unfortunately you had no idea how he would behave around Eclipse, considering you just rebooted him after Sun and Moon were fighting for control nonstop. The two were in obvious pain with the lights being broken in the daycare, so you were lucky to have a fazwrench on you at the time.

But the strangest thing during your time working for the pizzaplex was that you never knew Eclipse even existed as a character. The company never talked about him, and not a single advertisement (old or new) mentioned him anywhere.

There was only ever Sun and Moon.

Regardless, you were glad to officially meet him and see his balanced personality--with Moon's calmness and Sun's optimism

Unfortunately Monty had some fit of aggression when he tried talking to him, sending him into a panic so bad that it made him switch back into Sun. Now you weren't sure how to bring Eclipse back to the forefront without doing another reboot...as that apparently caused Moon great pain.

The gator, as feral as he was, seemed guilty for what he did as he stayed huddled in the nearest corner of your garage. You could clearly see that he didn't mean to attack Eclipse; he just couldn't control himself.

"[Y/n]...a-are we monsters? Is that why nobody comes to see us anymore?"

Those heartbreaking questions almost made tears spring to your eyes, before you turned back to Sun, taking his hands into yours. "No. Neither of you are monsters. You're scared...and broken. But I'll try my hardest to put you back together. You, too, Monty."

"Grrahhh..?" He perked up at his name, dropping the pipe and crawling over to you when you beckoned him closer.

At first the attendant was panic-striken, almost hyperventilating even. But then he saw him abruptly stop beside you and was confused for a moment.

You smiled sadly and patted Monty's head, feeling what little remained of his red hair. "It's amazing that your mohawk is still attached to you, pal."

He chuckled at that, before looking to Sun and huffing. Although he couldn't speak anymore, the guilt was clear in his body language, something that was quickly understood by the solar animatronic.

"Awh, it's okay, buddy. We can still be friends!" He giggled, mimicking your gesture and patting Monty's head, albeit with great caution.

Fortunately, he didn't bite his hand off this time.

All you could do was continue smiling, being a watchful observer of your two (technically four) favorite characters who you were relieved to have rescued.

'Looks like there's hope for them yet.'

BB!Moonpaw's Family

So, I don't rewrite arcs until they're done BUT!! HAVE NO FEAR IM HERE TO FIX IT.

You may have heard that Moonpaw's canonical family has been confirmed, Thriftear x Bayshine, and that it makes her a real doozy of inbreeding. The most important thing being that she is the product of a first cousin pair because Thriftear's father Fernsong and Bayshine's mother Sorrelstripe are full siblings.

But I am the family tree trimmer and I'm here to do a little pruning!

First of all, I've already done significant work in overhauling the ThunderClan Family Tree. Today I've made a more lightweight chart for showing off the options better, but please do go and check out the full version if you'd like to see the generations further back. It also has a link to my "diagnosis," which is handy for comparing my fixes to the problems with the canon tree.

So just to nip this in the bud; Thriftear and Bayshine are no longer first cousins in BB.

That's already fixed! I'm going to change it anyway but I just want that to be like, the first thing you know going in.

Second of all, now's a good time for a little refresher on my Three Strict Rules. These are the rules I use for overhauling the family trees; determining when cats are far enough apart, preventing one bloodline from getting too prolific, and when a fix is required.

Like before, click the link to see the rules more in-depth. Put simply, these rules are;

Three Generation Separation Cats must be three or more generations removed in order to be eligible as partners. That means they cannot share a simple grandparent, banning 1st cousin pairings. Further than that is typically allowed-- Clan sizes are too small to be more restrictive. ADDENDUM: Onestar's Exception. This rule applies to an extra generation, the great-grandparent, if one or more simple grandparents are alive to connect them all. This bans 1st cousins once removed (FCOR), like what Breezepelt and Heathertail are in-canon, and usually second cousins if I can help it.

Two Kit Max Any given pairing may only have two kittens who have successful grandchildren. If three or more kids have grandkids, one of the bloodlines will have to be pruned in some way. This is to prevent "superparents" who decimate the diversity. ADDENDUM: This applies per-Clan. Cats can leave their birth Clan and not contribute to their parents' "limit." Dovewing is now in ShadowClan and does not count towards the rule.

One Parent Litters Invoking the Queen's Rights allows for a cat to have kittens without a second parent. Sometimes these kittens are fully adopted. ADDENDUM: This is an in-universe rule. Ergo, other cats can and will have feelings on a cat who invokes this. That said, I don't always decide who that secret parent is beforehand!

With all that said, let's talk about the relevant differences in BB vs Canon, and the three options for who Moonpaw's parents are going to be...

Relevant Differences

So that we can narrow in on the ancestors that are relevant, I've gone and made a little version of my bigger tree.

Everyone in YELLOW is active in ThunderClan. PINK indicates that they may or may not remain there past ASC, either because they'll move or because they'll die. The ORANGE line tracks cats that are counted as Firekin.

(Note: Sunbeam, Twigbranch, and Finleap were left off this list since they're not relevant atm)

Spiderleg, Toadstep, Hazeltail, Sorreltail are still alive in BB.

However, in exchange, Molewhisker, Brackenfur, and Thornclaw are dead.

Cinderheart is off on adventures with Fallenleaf, who went through a whole thing

Mousewhisker and Nightheart will probably end up in RiverClan by the end of ASC.

Rosepetal will probably end up dying somewhere near the end of ASC OR in the BB overhaul of Ivypool's Heart. She will likely be Squirrelstar's first deputy.

Fernsong is an ex-kittypet. His name was Fiddles.

Because of a change in who dies in The Battle of the True Eclipse, Sorrelstripe is named Duststripe.

Because Ferncloud is the one to confront Ashfur in the Dark Forest instead of Graystripe, Graypaw is named Fernpaw.

Squirrelflight is infertile and unable to have bio-kits. Bramblestar disowned his children with her when the secret was revealed, and had a litter with Jessy. Sparkpelt is not Firekin-- her mate was.

Ivypool and Dovewing were swapped for Spotfur and Duststripe to keep the Firekin family consistent.

Larksong and Hollytuft have been fused into the same cat; Hollylark.

Hollylark was a poorly understood magical being. Xeir death prompted xeir parents, Cinderheart and Fallenleaf, to go on their journey.

Eaglewing, Honeyfur, and Leafshade are in my back pocket in case I need them elsewhere.

Snowbush, Dewnose, and Ambermoon were surrogated for cats in other Clans, but I still haven't placed them yet. Icecloud, now born AFTER the Battle of the True Eclipse, is taking any relevant roles for them.

Duststripe had kittens with an unknown sire, invoking the Queen's Rights to do so. I haven't thought about who this secret father is.

SO, as you can see, this tree is already significantly less tangled than canon's. If I just went with Thriftear x Bayshine, their last common ancestor was a great-great-grandmother (Frostfur), making them third cousins. On the other side, they share a great-great-great-grandmother (Nutmeg), making them fourth cousins.

These are both so far removed that most people don't even actually know their 3rd and 4th cousins. This is more than distant enough to not trip Rule 1.

That said... no 💕I don't care for this coupling 💕They haven't even talked in canon I am simply going to veto it 💕

Personally I've always seen Bayshine and Thriftear as being gay, so I'm going to move ahead with that in mind because it's MY AU and I get to homo the sexuals.

OPTION 1: BAYSHINE REMAINS I simply swap out Thriftear for her brother, Flipclaw, making Moonpaw into a FlipBay kitten.

This is the most canon compliant fix I can make. This is probably what I'm going to settle on as a default, unless and until we learn more about Changing Skies. OR, of course, someone makes a convincing and juicy argument.

Thoughts;

This closely matches canon. They can't possibly throw a curveball at me that I can't fix with Thriftear lesbianism. YOUR MOVE, WORKING PARTNERS.

I need more MLM ships, I'm actually really lacking those, so this would be a good opportunity.

BB!Bayshine and BB!Flipclaw will actually have really nice chemistry. Flipclaw's a silly boy who's known as the one example of a Firekin cat who can't live up to the legacy (something that likely used to cause him to quibble with Nightheart, back in the day). Bayshine is kind of a worrywart who actually appreciates Flipclaw's sense of humor and prefers a mate who doesn't give him heart attacks via heroics.

I feel like that'll bounce nicely off Moonpaw as well, since she's probably going to have a very serious story attached. It'll be nice to just write her having very supportive parents who listen and care.

Plus with her parents being Mr. "Always Worried" and Mr. "Fire Failure," I don't have to worry too much about legacy or status while still keeping her a Firekin. These two guys don't have a lot of power to leverage to help her get the Clan to believe her, if I need to keep a plot point.

OPTION 2: THRIFTEAR REMAINS I do some tweaks to put her with Plumstone, making Moonpaw a PlumThrift kitten.

More of a tinker than a tweak, but something I'm at least considering. I've been outspoken about how much I like PlumThrift, so I absolutely want to make it canon to BB. That said, I do like the idea that the two of them just don't have kids. Not all mates HAVE to have kittens.

Plus, it would come with restrictions anyway becaauuuuseeeeee,

It trips Rule 2, the Two Kit Max.

If Shellfur and Fernstripe have kittens, which I HOPE they do because good lord Canon!TC needs it, I couldn't let PlumThrift Moonpaw go on to have successful kittens of her own. Blossomfall's kittens would start to take over ThunderClan.

This is especially strict in BB because there's no way in hell I'm not going to have Shellfur and Fernstripe have some kittens. So help me god, I will pull Leafshade, Honeyfur, and Eaglewing out of my back pocket.

Moonpaw not having kittens isn't a bad thing, though. I'd happily do it, it's just that I'm trying to anticipate canon throwing a curveball at me.

BB!Plumstone and BB!Thriftear would probably have a more strained dynamic to their daughter, which might match canon very well if the team goes for the angle of having Moonpaw resent how she's seen as very special.

Both moms are overachievers, and very ambitious warriors. Thriftear is Firekin and living up to that legacy, and Plumstone is probably gunning for one of the head positions in the Clan.

It's not that they're mean or bad to her, it's that they'd have high expectations which might cause friction. Again; depends on where canon goes with Moonpaw's story.

Honestly, knowing them and what they want out of their lives, I can kinda see Moonpaw being something they didn't plan. Like she was an abandoned kitten they found and felt like it was a sign from StarClan, or somehow one of them accidentally got pregnant.

Which could be super interesting, honestly.

Option 2 might end up revealing itself to fit better than Option 1, but I need to see what the arc has in store first.

OPTION 3: TOTAL PARENT CHANGE Moonpaw is given to a non-Firekin couple that could have kits

This is the biggest change, but one I'll do if it's an important plot point that she's NOT Firekin by canon's wahoo logic. I already killed the inconsistency with MY family tree fixes, but the writing team seems to only count Firekin down from Squirrelflight's biokids.

So if I have to comply with that for some reason, I'll shuffle her over to one of these two couples;

She could either become the daughter of Stormcloud and Cherryfall, OR Shellfur and Fernstripe.

StormCherry:

Stormcloud actually got a massive glowup in BB lmao

Cherryfall and Stormcloud were previously sort-of-courting, probably-dating, in a weird situationship sort of thing. Unofficial only because they never made it official.

If Moonpaw is their kid, she'd definitely be what makes it official.

I feel like Stormcloud is better suited to being the Mi, but Cherryfall would insist that she acts as it instead. And Stormcloud knows better than to argue with her, she's the most stubborn thing you've ever met.

She's a knucklehead. He's a gentle giant. I feel like they'd be fun as parents.

But also a bit more absent compared to the other options, which could be good if that's a plot point... but seems unlikely, considering Moonpaw was apparently named because her parents believe she's special.

This one's the MOST clean of any bloodline Moonpaw could be wriggled into. It would actually be super useful going forward honestly. StormCherry kits are compatible with all of the cats of the next generation except Firekin.

If Moonpaw has a ton of siblings I might put them all here just for that... but something tells me she's going to be a singlet tbh.

ShellFern:

I have a weird fondness for these two tbh. Can't explain it. I like grumpy assholes and their sweethearts.

It's super unlikely that these two don't get kittens of their own at some point, but it wouldn't be too big of a problem if I did shuffle Moonpaw in as their first child.

I would enjoy having a little window into their relationship, I used ShellFern for an example of what a post-Lake Aftergathering looks like once just because I like writing about them.

They wouldn't "get in the way" of the plot, either. Shellfur and Fernstripe are both pretty standard warriors, not super ambitious, they have hobbies but they're not reaching for a high status or anything.

If Moonpaw ends up being a little bit of a snarky character, it would be fun if she got that from papa Shellfur lmao.

Aaaand that's it! I don't rewrite arcs until they are done, and as of writing this, even ASC isn't totally completed yet! But there's the pre-emptive options for a fix that is definitely going to happen.

These are notes I took as I watched the season. Usually after I’d already posted about the episode in question, and I thought of something I would have added to the post. Rather than edit them into my posts, I’m rounding them up and posting them all at once. As such, they are vaguely chronological. Unfortunately, because I made the notes legible to me and me only, I didn't bother to write down what episode I was referring to. I've also added some notes in as I was editing these notes. So this is also a bit of a scavenger hunt. Enjoy!

Iroh poisoning himself: dumbass moment or 5D chess?

My autocorrect corrects “Sokka” to Sock, and “Sokka’s” to socks. This causes double takes when editing.

Badgermoles have excellent eyeliner. Is that where the Kyoshi Warriors get their jaw dropping cat eye?

Why is Ty Lee spelled Ty Lee and not Tai Li? Why is Dai Li spelled Dai Li and not Dy Lee?

Sometimes Sokka makes me think of Mulan. Am I crazy?

Are the swampbenders’ moves based on a real martial art style too?

Why didn’t Aang use his swamp sense to locate Appa post-appanapping?

Where did Toph, who spent her whole life as a prisoner of her parents’ house and a moonlighting WWE wrestler until Team Avatar busted her out, get such emotional intelligence?

Why did Zuko’s dad put forward the plan to disinherit Iron in favour of him less than 24 hours after Lu Ten’s death? Why did he think that moving quickly was the right approach? Does the Fire Nation not do grieving periods? In what world was 'strike while the iron is hot' the correct course of action here?

Looking back, I’m amazed that season 2 didn’t end in Zuko’s redemption. I didn’t much like Zuko Alone, but I was sure that a season that included that much set up for a Zuko redemption arc would prioritise finishing that arc.

I haven’t even met this Firelord guy yet, but I am peeved that that twerp has a name as cool as Ozai.

Why haven't I met that Firelord guy yet?

I really thought that the older brother character in Zuko Alone would make an appearance later on in the season, giving Zuko a chance to flex some newly acquired morals. But the parallel to Lu Ten and the general message about the evils of war lands better if we never hear of him again.

Zuko in the first half of season 2 had me so annoyed that I was incredibly uncharitable to him in my write ups. Reading through some of the stuff I wrote while watching episodes, I kind of wince now. Zuko in the second half of the season was much less annoying. Which I feel bad for saying, because he’s clearly not in a good place in the second half of the season.

I would love to know why the writers decided to have Toph and Iroh meet in the wilderness. I think it’s a good choice, but I want to know how they came up with it, and why those characters? Is there anything about Toph (especially at that point, when we’ve known her for 1 episode) that suggests that she and Iroh should meet? Or would get along if they did?

Zuko has so many rock bottom fake outs this season: Zuko Alone? Nope, he gets worse in The Chase. The Chase? Nope, he gets worse in Bitter Work. Bitter Work? Nope, he gets worse in the finale.

I’m still peeved that Azula won a 6 on 1 showdown. Sorry, but that breaks immersion.

I bet the Blue Spirit could make lightning.

If water is the element of change, why does the Northern Water Tribe have such strictly defined traditions? I get that it's literally the element of change, in that water can exist in different physical states, but shouldn't the metaphorical interpretation also be true?

I like that Toph can think like an Airbender sooner than Aang can think like an earthbender.

What is Sokka’s boomerang made of? Is it metal? Because if it’s metal, does that mean that there’s a blacksmith somewhere in the South Pole? With a forge?

I still can’t get over how dumb the whole eclipse plot was.

Suki is TINY!!!

I mocked this guy’s 80s aerobics video leotard aesthetic, and I stand by that mockery, because this guy is ugly. Those colours are awful. But do you know who else has those colours?

Jet this season fascinates me. He’s positioned as genuinely repentant and legitimately seeking a second chance and I don’t believe him for one minute. Why don’t I believe him? This show has a theme of learning from mistakes and doing better, so shouldn’t Jet be a perfect fit for this show’s themes? I should be primed to believe him. And yet I don’t.

I have to applaud Iron’s enthusiasm for their new life in Ba Sing Se. A lot of that cheer (at least before the tea shop) is put on for Zuko’s sake. I don’t know where Iroh gets the energy to keep trying with Zuko after years of minimal results, but I’m glad he does.

I think Aang and Ty Lee should hang out. They have similar circus energy. Or maybe it’s that they’re the only two characters in the show so far who are remotely playful.

Aang = surface silliness, core of calm. Not that the silliness doesn't run deep, but he seems to have an untouchable anchor of calm deep within that rarely gets disturbed. Gyatso raised him well.

Everyone on this show has big ears. Zuko has the smallest ears simply because he has the least amount of ears remaining. But everyone else? Big ears.

If this is the grand total of the SWT, I have some bad news about population dynamics.

Is there a proper naval term for what the SWT are doing? They’re a stealth strike force that seems to be going after individual enemy ships, using both direct and indirect tactics. Not pirates, because as far as we know they aren't going for FN supplies. They're doing what submarines do, but above water. There’s got to be a proper name for that.

Is there a raft of FN corpses chilling in the waters in front of the NWT's big wall?

I saw ATLA described as a show where all the characters are Asian-inspired people of colour, but isn’t Suki a blue-eyed redhead?

I had no idea that you could decline an Agni Kai. Zuko should have done that.

Why are the Dai Li so in love with Azula? I get that they're pissed with Long Feng for getting arrested, but wouldn't the logical choice be to direct their loyalties to the Earth King rather than a wildcard princess? I'm not going to pretend for a minute that the Dai Li are loyal to the Earth Kingdom or to Ba Sing Se, but the Earth King is a known quantity. Seems to me that it would be easier for them to re-puppetify him, rather than a FN princess.

Katara & Zuko bonding over their missing mothers is the same “makes sense until you think about it for five seconds” as Song & Zuko bonding over losing their fathers to war. Technically the same, sort of, on paper, but actually kind of rude to equate them once you know the full story. Same with the parallel between Lu Ten and the older brother in Zuko Alone. The proper dead mom parallel is Katara and Jet. Although Katara doesn’t object to the Zuko comparison, so I have no grounds to do so.

I’m really glad that Katara didn’t remove Zuko’s scar with her spirit oasis water. Both because she kind of really needed that water, but also because one thing this show has always done right is permanence. No quick fixes, no fake outs, no take backs. Lu Ten is dead, and he stays that way. Princess Yue is the moon, and she stays that way. Half a dozen people’s moms are dead, and they stay that way. Aang is the last Airbender, and he stays that way. Zuko is scarred, and he stays that way. There are no hand waves, no easy fixes. All the characters can do is learn to live with it, and go forward. And I’m grateful the show is like that, because that permanence, as well as being a good lesson to learn, functions as a reward for audience investment.

Aang did come to a crossroads of destiny in the finale, chose his duties to the world over his friends, and got aggressively slapped down for it. I have a feeling that he’ll take the wrong lesson from that, since he was already inclined to shun that path.

Overall Season 1 was prettier.

Ty Lee was the cause of more than one Beat Up Sokka Quota fulfillment this season. Make of that what you will.

Will Zuko & Azula spend season 3 bouncing between the FN and Ba Sing Se? They could be heavily involved with establishing the FN governance over Ba Sing Se, since the city is already inclined towards royalty.

Favourite episode this season? The Guru. The Blind Bandit and The Swamp are tied for second place.

Best Taiwan BL: My Tooth Your Love although I really adored DNA Says Love You and About Youth, the one fudged the beginning and the other the end (both are still v HEA) so My Tooth was the most consistent. 

Best director: Kato Ayaka (Old Fashion Cupcake) she did a fucking phenomenal job, and yes she had two killer actors to work with, but I am such a sucker for those long shots plus the sensual foods close ups? GIIRLLLLLLLL. Gah! 

Best kiss: honestly we had so many good kisses this year I have multiple blog posts going on the subject. But I am handing it over to the one that stuck in my head the most, Billy & Seng’s up against that chain gate with the damn blue towel sticking out of his back pocket in Secret Crush On You. 

The desperation was just insane. But I might have given it to OFC if they hadn’t already won the director category. And I flipping LOVE the Kissable Lips boys BTS smiley kiss from 304: 100% should have been on screen for us.

Best erotic moment: The shower neck make out kiss from side couple RainPayu in Oh! My Sunshine night. 

Runner up: VegasPete and the “ass to waist ratio” kiss in their kinky chain scene. 

Best O scene: Oh the whole LITA special, they knew what they were doing. Doesn’t stop me being annoyed by the whole thing, tho. 

Best cuddles: I mean it should got to 12% because, well, ENDLESSLY spectacular cuddles from SantaEarth but for me it was Star in My Mind’s cuddle+glare. I love me a vicious little “mine” moment. 

Best eye contact/soulmating/eyefucking: FirstKhao in The Eclipse although Japan did great work with THIRST this year (bit more one sided, that one). 

Best cinematography: Cherry Blossoms After Winter, I know, I know, but you know how I feel about yaoi, nostalgia and cinematic storytelling. 

Best boohoo snot bubble I’m dazed and crying: Eternal Yesterday, every fucking episode, Choco Milk Shake (I hate you Strongberry, I love you Strongberry), To My Star 2 (I just hate you and you are not forgiven). 

Most beloved character: Shin MY PRECIOUS BEAN SPROUT 

Best Pair: The Parks although I am also crazy about the To My Star and Kissable Lips boys. I really want more from all of them. Madness that it’s all Korea. 

Best Ensemble: The Eclipse had a killer cast but I expect that from GMMTV. So for all it was a mess of a story Cutie Pie wins best casting from me. All 3 couples had such good chemistry. I don’t think any other multi-couple shows out of Thailand were that on point, not even KP. 

Best siblings//family: My Ride, gotta hand it to the gay uncles and all the queer friends and the adopted son. Although DNA Says Love You was pretty darn great too. 

Best Food: There were so many food ones this year (Ocean Likes Me, Old Fashion Cupcake, La Cuisine, but none were as good food-wise as Bite Me last year) so the one where I actually wanted to eat stuff the most? What Zabb Man. What can I say? I love sweets and ramen, but Thai food is my last best hope in life. 

Best song: Eternal Yesterday’s OST Sunshower by Ayumu Imazu. I can’t believe Japan beat out Korea but I am sorry I just really fucking adore that song. I’m sucker for that raw slightly rough voice combined with Japan’s brusque style (and PINK hair). 

But Leo’s I still from Happy Ending Romance is a close fucking follow up, that boy is dripping slightly-evil honey even in falsetto, he’s a perennially ignored goddamn gift to Kpop.

XD I'm not caught up on the lore of the show(s) So i haven't even seen Solar IN SHOW before (i am very behind to before Lunar was Sun and Moons brother :' D) But I have some ideas I'm debating writing for the ship buttt....I have no clue how Canon Solar acts??? Do you know if theres somewhere I could find a Summary on his personality? (and I suppose...new Moon?) I'll probably unintentionally make them OOC...never written for anything TSAMS related, but i'll try!

And is there a ship names thats...like used for them instead of Solar X Moon or is it just called that?

(mostly the ones who can't think critically are the youtube audience but that's expected. Since a lot of the youtube target audience are... like.. minors or really young adults who can't conceive the concept.)

I rewatch that Episode where Solar changes his name and rebuilds the Daycare in a week just for Moon constantly cause it's just... so much admiration and appreciation Moon has for Solar in that episode. I swear I don't know if it was a flub on the actor's part... but I swear Moon calls him 'sexy' as he's dragging him to charge. the stock sound effect of "OOOOH" doesn't help my APD and I've listened so many times and I have no possible idea what Moon could be saying to Solar other then 'come here you stupid, sexy-...." (trails off) sooo... idk. I might have misheard that severely but that's just what I'm hearing.

Like, in terms of New Lore of the show, it gets pretty complicated.

So complicated in fact, TSAMS themselves released a new video on the subject.... But it's NOT a very good guide, as it misses a lot of things. (and no I don't mean the stupid guest cameo stuff) this is more or less an abridged take on what happens with no emotional impact:

Like, this is a good starting point if you want the barest of bones, but it misses so much stuff. I think they don't even mention how Solar gets introduced into this family. lol. Just like "yeah Im here and I helped kill Eclipse" fheahehf. It's a super well made video though, and I don't mind the editing mistakes (clearly when the actors change the avatar on screen.... whoops. Happens a few times)

There is also the Fan Wiki, but as of now, it is incomplete, (@twinanimatronics is working tirelessly on updating the wiki and I wish they got more reconignition from the tsams community as a whole ) but it does give a decent look into Solar

There is also the huge TSAMS Lore Document, which Ceph(twinanimatronics) also worked on which contains a further detailed explanation of the story so far, for those who don't have time to watch 2 years worth of youtube content that aren't in a concrete playlist. (TSAMS. PLAYLIST YOUR STUFF PROPERLY. YOU HAVE TWO YEARS OF LORE HERE)

Liike.... yeah... this is okay but like..

This is VRchat. Aka the lore. Which also includes when they play videogames in VRchat, which don't impact the story... Like Uno, Amongus and SCP stuff.....

And it doesn't divide the arcs. Something that TSAMS severely needs more then any other SB Show channel.

Also, in the early days, the gameplay videos USED to be part of the lore. As the concept of Eclipse itself, being a rouge evil ai that lived in Sun's head (as it was presented initially but we know the truth it was the killcode moon planted in Sun when they separated.)

These days, they kinda dropped the gameplay videos being directly connected to the over arching plot. Other then just saying that their vids are pre-recorded or "we're back" after an annual halloween takeover.

Not to mention... When Earth and Lunar got a show, they became intertwined with the Sun and Moon show. LAES is very much it's own thing, but it's the ONLY Security Breach Show that consists of two Original Characters spawned from the Sun and Moon show. A rarity. So their lore continues off from the Sun and moon show, giving more info on Lunar these days and Earth (their sister)

Then you have the Monty and Foxy show (which is my least favorite of the shows... Personal Preference. I try not to complain cus I know some people like it. But I do not like the plot points in that show, or the character writing and weird directions they take while being connected to the same universe.)

And Monty is a character voiced by Davis, who also voices Sun. So Monty started out as a prominent character on the Sun and Moon Show, and then got his OWN show... at a point in TSAMS history after Eclipse got the star and killed Lunar.

So yeah. I wish the playlists were better organized here. So we knew when each era starts.

But long story short, Solar is a "Good Eclipse" from another dimension that the Old Moon introduced to Lunar, when Lunar was struggling with his trauma of leaving Eclipse. Good Eclipse and Lunar become friends.

Anyway, here are some key episodes that outline NewMoon and Solar's relationship, as Solar had never met the Old Moon.

Old Moon had never met Solar. It was New Moon who introduced himself to Solar to help defeating Eclipse once and for all. (and by this point lunar had died)

He was actually surprised that this Moon was a chill Moon and could be reasoned with and talked to, considering he was living a rather oppressive life from his own Moon.

There's also a whole episode saga of just these two bantering and talking while they work on the satellite together. I can't remember which specific episodes those are.

Moon saving Solar's life: (also the death of the bad Eclipse)

Everything is good and happy after Eclipse dies for awhile. (aside of Ruin and Bloodmoon wrecking shit) He goes back to his own dimension... and you get to see what his sad life is like:

From his Moon calling him "byproduct" and failure very often.

But... Something happens and Solar is forced to come to Moon's dimension

here's Solar at his poor little meow meow "I have nowhere to go" stage and just... thought to go to Moon immediately due to their history.

Moon's only question about Solar moving in, is that if he wanted him to blacklist his dimension once he heard what was going on with his Moon.

And immediately, Solar jumps in to help Moon with his problems.

Also during the halloween takeover part 2 electric boogaloo, Solar was the one to help get Sun and Moon back after being teleported to a different dimension with no hopes of returning

Also, after Ruin was cured and Bloodmon ran off, Solar rebuilt the ruined Daycare in a week. And Moon is so grateful for it. (i rewatch this episode a lot. It cemented the ship in my mind and built the commodity that they've been building up for months)

We also get what Solar's daily life is like so far... How out of place he feels, being someone from a different dimension, despite the Brothers (and sister's) insistence, he still doesn't really feel like he's part of the family. He feels like an outsider. (He also has less opportunities to hang out with Lunar. As he expressed interest in playing games with him like the good old days, and as of recently, they have not yet)

also a good example of the Celestial family changing minds on family dynamics because they are robots. Lunar flat out rejected Vegeta-Animatronic is his brother even if he technically is. Like, they're robots. They can change their relationships to each other based on their word. I like to see it more flexible then it is in reality with actual people/humans.

Moon also trying to make Solar feel comfortable and feel like he's adjusting well here. Expressing his concern for him doing so much for him and his family. And hoping to not pressure him into so much work.

As of recently, his Sun died, and he killed his Moon. And in his therapy session (on the Lunar and Earth Show) he expressed regret over "Leaving" them...

But he has not properly told anyone about this.

My reasoning is that he probably thinks that the family will jump on the chance to call him "Evil" .....They don't have good luck with Eclipses.... and every Eclipse they met other than him has been Evil. (that must weigh on you. Every version of yourself is deemed as evil across every dimension. You are the only good one. Maybe there is something wrong with you)

I'm already at the video limit, but on Lunar and Earth show, there is an interesting episode where Lunar goes into Solar's head, and his mindscape looks like the Willy Wonka TV room, because it was a movie he watched with his Sun before they separated and Sun died. Showing that he did care about his Sun a whole lot... Which is probably why he doesn't interact with our Sun that much alone.

He also compartmentalizes everything before he can feel emotions, playing his own memories in third person as if he's not experiencing them.

Not to mention, he organizes and separates his thoughts on NewMoon and HIS Moon, just so he won't associate the two.

I also missed what episode it was, but Solar is always the first to call Moon out when he's being angry, or irrational, and Sun admits in his therapy session, that Solar is the only person who can calm Moon down. (mainly cus he's used to it, but unlike his old moon, this moon listens)

Anyway...

I love Solar a lot, can you tell?

I really wish people would stop comparing Eclipse and Solar. They are not the same. They had two very different experiences, which is the whole reason they are from two separate universes. It’s literally using the “they went through *similar but still completely different trauma* and came out fine!!!” saying that I really hate. Two different people had two different reactions to two different experiences because they are two different people.

I get that Solar was made to represent a good version of Eclipse. It was another “what if” scenario. The reason it fails to be that is because Solar’s universe is different from the canon universe outside of him being good. Eclipse being good wasn’t the only difference. Monty was British and arguably worse than his canon counterpart, and from what I understand other animatronics were different too. Not to mention Solar’s dimension was a whole year behind the canon dimension. The control variable was completely thrown off. Even if he turned out just like Eclipse and did everything Eclipse did, he never could have been a carbon copy of him due to the differences of their universes. This means Solar was never the same person as Eclipse to begin with.

Also, Solar’s existence proves nothing of why Eclipse chose his path. Those two literally met once the entirety of show, how does Solar making fun of him prove that Eclipse was evil “just cause”? Eclipse was the result of abandonment, identity confusion, repeated inescapable trauma, probably shredded coding, and never being offered any real help. Solar’s experience was completely different to that of Eclipse’s. Yes, Solar was created for the show specifically to appear as the “better Eclipse”, but they are not the same person. Solar even says that in his introductory episode!!!

“I don’t kill people. … How is it weird to not kill people?”

“I didn’t make you. I didn’t make you.”

“But I also didn’t. I’m just the mechanic here at the Daycare.”

“That does not sound like me.”

“I know I’m technically not your Eclipse, but you’re not a mistake.”

All canonical lines from Solar himself, just from that one episode, that say Eclipse and Solar are two separate people.

This is not a post against Solar. I love him, he’s an awesome character and has provided a lot for the show. His dynamic with all the canon universe characters is great. I just hate that people keep using him as a sort of “gotcha” when complaining about Eclipse. The comparison just doesn’t work like people think it does. If anything, you’re taking away from Solar’s character by boiling him down to just “the nice version of Eclipse”. He’s grown so much since his introductory episode, he even changed his name to Solar to cut all ties with the name Eclipse. There isn’t a true comparison to be made.

thinking about last night's girl talk w zam and planet again. (zam stream, jan 23)

c!planet has always stood out in the lifesteal crowd as one of the few players who doesnt seem to take part in lifesteal's characteristic distrust and cycles of revenge. in season 4 alone, planet's only main channel video so far - "breaking survival minecraft to get revenge" - doesnt really contain any real "revenge" at all. planet and his teammates are routinely knocked down by other, stronger players; used as bodies in a war they dont have much of a stake in (besides the thrill of having duped hearts), imprisoned, killed, spawn trapped, banned, etc etc. their bases get found and used. but it doesnt really bother planet, at least not in any lasting way. planet doesnt hold grudges, he was able to stand with three heart trio and say he didnt think zam was a bad person, even after zam pointed out repeatedly all of the ways he had wronged planet, bacon, and jaron personally

part of it is just who planet is, I think. they're not the kind of person to get too fussed about the sides and conflict. they routinely make light of it when they abruptly pull out a sword on bacon and start monologuing about how they were "working against him this whole time". during the latter part of girl talk w zam they bemoaned how zam wasnt "besties" with mapicc and ro anymore - even though zam was evil when he was with them, to planet, they had been friends, and friendship breaking up is sad!

planet sees that zam is scared and tries to help talk him through some of it, puts him through a series of bizarre "scenarios" to test zam's trust - up to and including begging zam for over an hour to let planet into the new eclipse base, to which zam eventually complied - all of the scenarios are things which, had the player been anybody but planetlord, may have been actual traps or threats to zam's life. planet does care, but on some level just doesn't fully understand the position that zam is in.

zam has been harassed*, stalked*, and threatened* by mapicc (*in a video game) for months now, and planet - who is on good terms with just about everybody, including mapicc - cant really understand why zam cant just let it go. planet themself has let a lot of things go, but zam has never been afforded that privilege - mapicc refuses to forget him.

as a result, a lot of planet's advice and thoughts for zam, especially in the "therapy session" part of girl talk, seemed to lean a lot into toxic positivity. just stop being scared and you wont be scared. mapicc doesnt care about you as much as you think, etc. it's all about mindset! I think some of that advice is helpful (especially during this week - cc!mapicc is recovering from surgery and unable to be online, and ro is unlikely to do anything without mapicc there, so there isnt really any reason to be afraid of mapicc logging in) but a lot of it is not constructive for princezam long-term. and zam even said as much at one point!

I think planet is like this in part due to their more easygoing nature, but also because planet has never really been afforded the privilege of being in the position to enact revenge in the first place. their team was named "three heart trio" for a reason! of the three of them planet is the biggest grinder and usually has some extra hearts stashed away, but overall they dont have anywhere near the kind of resources other teams might have: team shades are basically all on 20 hearts, the eclipse federation has subz' grindset and firepower, and team awesome is stacked with both the hearts and power to succeed, with the addition of their abuse of the pearl and gapple glitches and leftovers from the duping war.

compared to all of that, theres no way bacon, planet, and jaron can match up. that doesnt mean they dont try, because they do! they try to fight anyways, and they take some Ws now and then! they keep grinding and they keep hanging in there, refusing to give up. but I think, when you're that disadvantaged in a server that's unforgiving as lifesteal is and can be, on some level they let stuff go because they cant afford to hold a grudge.

at the start of the APO vs team awesome war, planet, bacon, and jaron had to decide what they wanted to do. they had received an offer from team awesome to join them, with the promise of a lot of hearts for each of them if they did join. bacon expressed his misgivings by saying that (paraphrased) "team awesome did all this bad stuff to us. it wouldnt really make sense, character wise, to join them now". but they joined team awesome anyway, and they set aside their hesitation and the memories of an obsidian prison and bloody knuckles, and marveled at the feeling of a healthbar on 14. how powerful it made them feel.

I have devoured your comment(s) and I have been so so normal about the amount of thought and analysis and how many things you've caught that I tried to write in! I'm so so happy that it all came across and I literally cried reading your comments already gfdhjs now I only hope I soon get the spoons to go through my ao3 inbox and reply to the comments I've amassed

As for Moon telling Eclipse? It didn't happen in that window between Moon date fade-out and Sun date, because Moon was too busy cuddling and being a lovebird (he finally gets to be a bird too! <3), though it'll happen after the Foxy conversation after Sun's date.

That conversation will be addressed in a proper drabble/ chapter (they've been getting longer, so by now drabble feels no longer appropriate gfhdjs), so since I haven't written that yet this might not quite fit with how things turn out, but it'll be a fun thought until then!

Because after all that, and not charging the night before due to cuddle priorities (and they haven't quite yet reached the stage of a permanently installed charging cable at Y/N's side of the duplex) (it's definitely a thought though, because lugging around their cable for sleepovers has a bit of a hassle), Moon will excuse himself for a quick charge before work, and handle a little special phone call <3

(Eclipse will be smug enough. Moon doesn't need to make the gloating even easier by providing something to screenshot)

Eclipse, on the other hand, is positively surprised and doing his best not to be weirded out by a spontaneous phone call from his brother. That just didn't happen before! He's still getting used to the closer contact, too, and his first thought won't be a good one. Maybe another emergency? At least this time he'll hear about it sooner?

Well, only for Moon to pull the rug from under him completely.

"What do you mean, you haven't talked about me before?"

"I mean, we were trying to flirt, which already kept misfiring. Adding complicated family history that paints a rather ugly picture of us when they never asked wasn't really... Something that came up."

A sigh, and Eclipse does his best to cover up the lingering hurt. He knows their relationship was rocky at best, and he wasn't exactly eager to talk about them to other people either.

(It helps a little, knowing that part of it was guilt - he wasn't forgotten, instead his brothers felt too bad to casually bring him up. But he also doesn't like being a guilty secret either. In the end, he pushes it away to unpack later, and focus on the conversation at hand)

"How did it 'come up' then?"

Silence from the other end, as Moon quickly decides that no, he's not going to explain that he made his own first date emotionally charged in the heavy way to finally talk about his brother, much less the exact conversation that sparked it.

Eclipse never asked for their favorite colors, either.

"No, no, look, that's not the important bit. They went off on me for not telling them."

"Makes sense."

"Because they're a fan of your work."

"Makes s- huh?"

"They like your designs. They exclusively buy their own gadgets, except for when one of yours gets distributed. They said, and I quote, 'That Horizon?'"

Again, silence, as Eclipse processes that. That's so far from what he expected, or even figured would ever be in store for him. He knows his work is good, the agency doesn't really entertain slackers and subpar work, not for leading researchers - but that doesn't mean he feels appreciated. The people he works with are more neutral to annoyed by his antics, and the actual results he produces seemingly fade into the background.

So hearing there's someone out there who, dare he say it, is a fan?

He already thought Y/N/ Robin is nice enough from just the stories Sun and Moon shared before, but this? Now, within seconds, he's decided he has to meet them and become friends.

Hopefully they'll still like him once they've met him.

By now, he's been silent for a while.

"... Eclipse?"

The anxiety gets pushed away yet again, and instead Eclipse starts laughing. Softly, first, but then it turns into a full blown cackle.

Moon just sighs.

"Here we go."

"Since when? How long have they liked my stuff?"

"I didn't ask, that wasn't exactly the focus of the conversation."

"You can ask right now though! Ask them!"

"They're at work!"

"Send them a text then! You'll say you forgot if you don't do it now!"

"I wouldn't forget!"

"Yeah, but you'd say that!"

They squabble a bit, and it feels nice - just your normal, comfortable sibling banter, something they didn't get to share for the longest time. Both draw it out, just a bit, to enjoy it more.

Moon does send the text, but only after making a production out of "not wanting to". Eclipse laughs some more, that smug snicker of a younger sibling winning out over the older one.

And then he thinks of something else, too.

"Oh, oh, have you told them about that drone I've been trying to get approved?"

"No, I haven't, tell them yourself. Did that still not go through? You mentioned that weeks ago, they're really dragging their feet."

"They say it's a fire hazard, and I keep trying to explain that that's the reason why I need them to approve the more expensive fireproof material. Somehow they don't seem to understand that."

The conversation drifts towards other topics, then, but Eclipse is very much soaring from the start of it. That little "tell them yourself" is enough to reassure him on so many levels - this isn't an exception, this is going to be normal, his brothers want him to meet their partner, want to introduce them and give him a chance to talk to them himself.

The anxiety is still there, and a bit of it we see in Duck Duck Goose - he needs them to like him, needs things to go well, and to leave a good impression. He's more than just his work, and unfortunately he's afraid that they won't like the person behind the codename, and that confidence boost of them liking his work doesn't quite shine through.

They'll get there! It'll just take a bit of work, and time, but they're all very willing to put that effort in <3

Authors Note: ok so yeah there's not really Prowl x reader yet but if i do continue this there will be? Also thank yall for your support!! It means so much to me! and just a warning that this was originally written forever ago and i did enough editing to this so it's atleast readable so yeah. Oh and this didn't take me nearly as long as i thought it would so i'm actually pretty happy about that. lmk if i should write more to this cause i've somewhat got an idea of where this was going.

Setting:    While prowl was gone (before the protoforms were destroyed) he was required to bring back sparklings who were on a ship, which had broken down in space, with a bot he trained with. Oh and there are space pirates now

[3rd POV]

Aboard a ship in deep space all was quiet except for one room. Eleven sparklings surrounded two bots who were each sharing their experience during their ninja bot training. 

Y/n placed Twilight, the youngest sparkling, on her hip and whispered to Prowl that she was putting the femme to bed. Quietly humming to herself, she gently swayed towards her berthroom. Twilight was too young to share a room with the other rambunctious sparklings, so she offered to keep her in her room. Slowly, Twilight was placed on her railed berth while she sang her to sleep. Seeing the young child sleeping, she walked over to her own berth and started recharging. 

Alarms rang out through the ship as Y/n jumped off her berth. Alarmed, she grabbed the sparkling and quickly ran towards the control room. 

“Prowl! What’s happening!?” 

“We’re being ambushed by pirates! Take the sparklings and put them in emergency stasis! I’ll try to shake them!” He answered. 

The sparklings were huddled in a corner shaking when she burst in the room, “Everyone follow me! Keep up now!” Quickly they rushed to the lower deck. After doing a head check she found that one was missing. 

Y/n turned towards the oldest of the group and asked them to watch the others. Swiftly, she raced throughout the ship calling the young mech’s name while trying to calm down Twilight. Upon not finding Axel, the missing sparkling, she disappointedly sprinted into the control room to find that he was in the room helping Prowl. 

“Axel! Don’t leave the group like that! Prowl do you need anymore help?” She took a deep breath. ”If not, I’m taking you,” she looks towards Axel, “to the others. Ok?”

Prowl looks over towards her. “You can take him down with the others.” 

She frowned then grabbed Axel with her free hand and rushed out of the room. 

(Is everything ok?) She asked Prowl over the comms. 

(Not so much. They’re hot on our trail.) He hesitated, (I need you up here when you are done.) 

(Ok, I’ll be there in a bit.) She bit her derma. This was not a good sign. 

Silently, they stumbled to the lower deck. While passing the escape pods a huge boom sounded out through the ship as they were flung into a pod. Suddenly the doors slammed shut and they were ejected into space. 

Eclipse stared wide optic as they witnessed what was happening; the ship had been shot and was hurtling towards a large asteroid. She turned around and gazed at Axel and Twilight. Their terrified eyes met hers. 

    Silently Axel spoke,” What are we going to do? Our power will go out soon and we have no energon.”

“Well we will go into stasis until someone finds us. There is really is no other choice.” She explained. “But we will be fine.”

She took one look at the younglings before putting them into stasis pods then herself.

Alarms ring out through the small pod as I online. Pain shoots out through my body as I stand. Looking at the surroundings through the windows, I find that we crashed on a planet. Who knows how long its been since we were shot off of the ship!

As I start to open the door I realize that Axel and Twilight are still stuck in stasis pods! 

I find that the stasis’ door control is broken and I sigh. Why do these things happen to me?

I quickly grab a piece of the metal sticking out of the ship and examine the pod for a way to break the glass without hurting the kids. 

I decided to not break the glass but instead to ply open the door. I wedge the metal in between the door and

“What are we going to do now?” Axel asked. 

“We’ll I’ll learn about what lives here and try to fit in... I guess?”

“Ok. I found out about some stuff and found us disguises.... well I can disguise us as a family if that’s ok with you two.” I looked at Axel and Twilight. They both nodded even though Twilight probably thought that she was gonna be fed. It was going to be a struggle to keep us safe and fed. 

Frowning I scanned through some photos of people and chose a lady who was about (Y/H) with (Y/H/C) hair and (Y/E/C). 

Then for Axel chose a young boy who had dirty-blond hair and brown eyes. He seemed around the age eight or nine. 

I smiled, Twilight was next, I’m going to have fun with this. For her I chose a young girl with auburn hair and eyes that were blue on the outside and brown closer to the pupil. 

Now onto the hard part: a believable backstory.

As we walked in our apartment I dropped off our stuff at the door and explore the rooms. There was two bedrooms, a kitchen+living room, and one bathroom. I sit in a bedroom and grab my new phone and look for a job. To my surprise found a job as a building supervisor for a business called Sumdac Systems. It is in a city called Detroit, Michigan. As I quickly look up where that is I realized that it’s like reeeealy far away...... and I’m in......... Jasper, Nevada. I was required to be there to do the job so I quickly schedule a interview on zoom since I was so far away. If I got the job then we will leave if not then we stay. 

    [Three days later]

  As I start to log on to the meeting/interview I look towards the kids’ room. We had each chosen different names; Axel’s is Austin, Twilight’s is Cassie, and mine is Y/n Smith. I was a “single mother” of Austin and Cassie. We ‘came’ from Nevada, looking for a new start. My “husband” had died in a plane crash.

I sigh. What am I going to do? It’s taking a lot out of me to keep up the disguises. Hopefully we can find other bots. 

   As I face the screen I realized that Mr. Sumdac was looking at me. “Oh! Hi Mr. Sumdac! I’m Y/n Smith… well you probably know that but I’m here for the interview.” I nervously smile. I am NOT good at this stuff hence why I work with children. They don’t judge nearly as much as adults.

  He laughes. “Yes. Now I assume you have experience with robots?” Oh the irony

                [After the interview]

   I throw myself onto my bed. That was way too stressful. However I think I made a good impression..... maybe. He said that he would message me in about a day or two to tell me if I made it or not so I can start the moving process as soon as possible.

   Austin ran into my room. “Tw-Cassie is crying and keeps throwing her toys at me.” He complained while rubbing his forehead.

   “Oh no. Are you ok?” I slide off of my bed and stand up. Sighing, I pick him up and set him on my hip. 

    He nods, ”Y-yes. But my helm hurts.” He looks at me with teary eyes. 

    “Aww I’m sorry I’ll fix that ok? And remember it’s head not helm kiddo.”

I walk towards their room, wondering what’s wrong with my wonderful, dear child Cassie. Once again I am reminded how hard it is to be a single mom. Now all I need- actually I’m not going to jinx myself so we’ll leave it there.

Since Eclipse doesn't cannibalize anymore, what are his favorite/comfort foods to eat?

3. You drew a self-insert a while back for this AU, is it okay to have them as a brief character? (and if yes, do you have a specific name for that insert?)

1! His favorite comfort food? Probably a cricket-like bug from his home planet! I feel like he'd be a little bit of a sucker for salty packaged snacks! He likes a lot of succulent-type plants too! (I'm thinking their planet is covered in brightly colored succulents and they harvest certain types and eat them!) He'll eat meat but only super clean, pure stuff! He likes to eat raw meat, so it definitely needs to be clean djsjsj

2! How would he react to phylos? Definitely hesitant! He'd be calculated and very cautious. He can realize when he can't win a fight, and I assume if phylos didn't like eclipse, he would eat/burn him! He'd probably find a way to get on his good side before making direct contact! Like getting him food or leading him somewhere where he can destroy stuff!

3: if we're talking about my human one, their name is Ren (like meee) and if it's me bmos sona then hmmmmm I've never thought of a name! I usually just use Ren but it doesn't fit them as well! Vega is a cool name! I guess it means star or falling star?? You can do whatever! Currently, they're working as a task force co-leader on eclipse's ship! They help train a special force that takes enemies down without killing, so they can take prisoners! Yay! But they're morally grey. They actually hope between groups and take on jobs that benefits them the most! But you can do whatever you'd like!

4!! Honestly, you have full artistic freedom jsjdjsjs I'd love for their homeworld to be explored a little but I haven't fully thought of what it's like since I changed it! I'm really just excited to see what you make!

Eggman, Eclipse is surprisingly easy to make cry (although Shadow might beat you up later) and if he's crying, he's not destroying your fortress

"I mean, he's already destroyed a lot, but an idea is an idea."

"What." Shadow held a very specific sort of stare.

"Yeah, WHAT?! I am NOT easy to make cry!! Go ahead, try me."

"ECLIPSE."

"I can taaaaake it! Don't worry about me, big bro!"

"Don't call me that."

"Why? Is he EMBARASSING you, Shadow?"

Eclipse went silent.

"You're the only embarrassing thing here," Shadow rolled his eyes. "Eclipse is just annoying."

"I'M WHAT?!"

"YOU ALREADY KNEW THAT! YOU DO IT ON PURPOSE! I'VE SAID IT BEFORE!"

"Oh yeah...HA!"

"WELL...uh...I don't know, that duck guy that used to hang around me called you something before. Just an idiot, I think."

"HE CALLED ME A WHAT?!" "More simplified version of the dictionary of words he would use. He was SO annoying! No point in obsessing THAT much over someone..."

"Cruel, cruel irony." Shadow raged internally.

"WHY AREN'T YOU CRYING YET!?" Eggman shouted up at Eclipse.

"I dunno, just don't feel like crying," the Darkling shrugged. "You're really bad at this."

"OH REALLY?! IS THAT SO?! WELL, GET READY THEN, BECAUSE...BECAUSE I'VE BEEN SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST. YEAH. THAT SHOULD WORK."

"OOOH, what is it boss?!"

"QUIET CUBOT. THE FINAL STRIKE. THE BIG BLOW. GOING TO MAKE YOU CRY. I'M SURE OF IT. AND THAT IS...YOU...YOUR...YOUR DAD! THE ONE THAT DOESN'T WANT YOU! WHATS-HIS-NAME! HA, I SAID IT. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THAT?!"

Eclipse only stared for a moment, and Shadow readied an attack in defense.

"...Eh."

"I KNEW I-what."

"Not good enough. I'm totally over that now. That didn't make me cry, that gave me a horrible horrible pain in my heart! Kind of a pathetic attempt, really."

"Agreed." Shadow nodded.

"Then what DOES make you cry?!"

"NOTHING! I TOLD YOU, I DON'T CRY! HAHA! YOU CAN NEVER-hold on. Shadow," Eclipse looked down at his tiny brother. "Didn't you have my plush army before...? Where did you put them...? Are they someplace safe?"

Shadow froze up once he remembered.

He had still been carrying them when he ran out the cave, just in case he needed them again to stop Eclipse from doing something he shouldn't.

He stopped holding onto them when he curled up into a hedge-ball.

HAD HE LAUNCHED THEM TOO???

"Did they fall on the way over...the ocean...?"

"EXCUSE ME???" Eclipse exclaimed, looking rather hurt at the assumption he had been led to believe.

"Oh this is gonna be so good." Eggman unnecessarily commented.

"So...so they're gone? You really did drown them?"

"It wasn't on purpose! And I don't even know if that's what-"

Shadow stopped mid-sentence. He could already see it in his brother's face.

This Week in BL

Oct 2022 Wk 4

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying the most.

Ongoing Series - Thai

My Only 12% (Fri iQIYI) 12 of 14 - Cake is reaping the consequences of having encouraged Eiw to become self-reliant. It means that Eiw has learned to stand up for himself, even against Cake. I get such Big Eden vibes from this show. Cake flirting with Eiw to tease Eiw’s friends. The English was… odd. But I don’t mind this kind of possessive boyfriend.

The Eclipse (Fri YT) 12 fin - The end did feel a little rushed. However I really can’t fault the acting in this drama, it was pretty darn flawless. This is a high school drama, so we expected (and got) a coming out sequence. But it was handled extremely well. I do love supportive parents. And for all their flaws, GMM TV is pretty solid on some decent parents. The low heat sex scene was really good too. The couples are very tender with each other in this show. It feels like the first half of this drama rested on Khao’s acting chops and the second half rested on First. In both cases, the actors remained entirely in control of the narrative, it’s just that First got shafted by the fact that his section of the narrative was curtailed. Still, all in all, it was a decent final episode and ending on verbal consent made me v happy. The blooper reel was great, too. 8/10 RECOMMENDED 

Ghost Host, Ghost House (Weds YouTube) 4 of 8 - Mostly BL this ep, the big plot reveal, and a NICE family drama twist. I pleased. It is a bit creepy for me but I’m sticking with it for the couple. These two are so sweet with each other that they can’t even tease each other into aggressive intimacy they have to just back off into cuteness. Really good kissing and mid heat sex scene. Great physical intimacy and teasing communication (intellectual chemistry) and romantic feedback between the 2 actors. The characters make for great boyfriends. I liked this ep A LOT. 

Big Dragon (Sat Gaga) 4 of 8 - Now we get the family drama background character information. I’ve never wild about miscommunication as a plot device. It’s always just kind of annoying when it’s used as an excuse for baby to get pouty. I do love Big (P’Nine). I find him pretty charismatic. The show is messy, and normally I’m not wild about messy, but for some reason it’s working for me. It’s like it’s messy but the right way for a change.

Ai Long Nhai (Mon iQIYI) 5 of 10 - Was the shock at BBQ after Nahi got drunk because Ai slipped in a ha? (Household intimacy particle). Meanwhile Nhai = def gayer and more switchy when drunk. Nothing has happened, and nothing continues to happen. Yet I’m still watching. 

Remember Me (Sun Gaga) 3 of 12 - Everyone leaving Name behind to go to college was so sad.

Love in the Air (Thurs iQIYI) 11 of 13 - I am so torn over this show but damn do these two give great sex scene. DUMPSTER FIRE TRASH WATCH ALONG HERE.

Hard Love Mission (Sat WeTV) 3 of 4 - didn’t seem to drop this week. 

Work from Heart (Thurs YouTube) 6 of 7 - What a very strange show - the main couple gets together is shown by one of them dumping somebody else. The leads are good but the rest of the cast is pretty terrible and the script is straight up bonkers. 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

My Tooth Your Love (Taiwan Fri Viki) 4 of 12 - I am LOVING this show. Very pleased with the whole cast and the performances. Plot is a little scattered, but that's Taiwan for you. Right now it kind of feels like About Youth grows up. Restaurant boy is so cute and animated (and broken and tortured) and the dentist likes him so much. Meanwhile, bartender daddy doesn't like a rude boy. Taiwan ALWAYS has to do the crash into me trope. It’s not love if one of them doesn’t stumble into the other.

Choco Milk Shake (Korea Strongberry Tues YT) 1-2 of 10 - OMG it’s wonderful so cute and very very actually funny. The actors playing the two pets much be having just the best time. As, indeed, am I. Could not be happier about this one. 

Roommates of Poongduck 304 (Korea Thurs Viki) 5 of 8 - They are so damn cute as friends but also, fixing his tie = hello boyfriend. Plus totally flirting at work. Hair touches and hugs and everything. BOYS! Also protective boyfriend HoJun does not like his baby being taken advantage of - or the feeling of jealousy. (I hate HoJun’s weird pleated jacket though.) JaeYoon is having such a hard time tho. 

Kabe Koji (Japan Mon Viki) 4 of 10 - Funny how Mamoru doesn't ever wanna talk, but for Issei he always says exactly the right thing. But also, what is actually happening on this show? Do I care? 

Eternal Yesterday AKA Eien no Kino (Japan Thurs Gaga) 2 of 8 - I guess it’s good to have a stoic practical boyfriend- when you’re a zombie. This is a weird little show. It doesn’t make me so much sad as reflective and a little annoyed (how dare Japan only give us this lever of physical affection and this awesome of a couple dynamic when one of them is DEAD). It’s very Japanese and reserved, almost to the edge of darkly funny, but not. Do I like it? I’m not sure. But it’s engaging. 

It’s Airing But I’m Not Watching It

War of Y 20 eps - it’s just all too much for me.

My Roommate 32 eps of 2 minutes each + terrible production values? - I’m not bothering.

I did a full review of Takara & Amagi, spoiler I adored it. 9/10. I compared it to Seven Days, which is saying something. 

Oh My Sunshine Night finished at 18 eps. Spies confirm it does not end sad but that it is quite the soap opera. It may be worth watching if you're like me and have a hot button skip forward inclination and like higher speeds. I’ll probably try to watch it before the end of the year. But I’m doing a UWMA rewatch right now and I don’t want to cross my OhmFluke streams.

Between Us (Sun iQIYI & YouTube) starts Nov 6 - trailer here. This is an adaptation of the novel Hemp Rope (spin off from UWMA/The Red Tread). The book tells WinTeam’s romance from the start, so we might get some recon/reboot action (like LBC2). Features one of Studio Wabi Sabi's most popular (and commercially viable) pairs BounPrem (Long Khong, You Never Eat Alone, Seven Project, Even Sun) with established (if inconsistent) BL director New (UWMA). Fluke (Pharm) and Ohm (Dean) are expected to reprise their roles from UWMA.

I Will Knock You (Tues Gaga) starts Nov 8 - A college student and part-time tutor confronts the leader of a gang who then turns out to be his next student. Bad boy/good boy + sunshine/grumpy + younger seme pairing, bully romance? Adapted from korean_rabbit's y-novel of the same name, directed by Champ (2gether) starring fresh faces.

My School President (?? GMMTV YT) initial trailer here - it’s Love Sick + Korea and Japan's influence. Yes, we’ve seen it all before, but this is me: I never met a high school BL I didn’t want to grant a fair shake and I love me some whipping boy. Interesting to see such an old fashioned trope having a bit of a renaissance right now. All fresh faces in this one except Aun (Folk from My Gear).

Fav thing about them:

Moon: Her. Just her. Her entire adorable being. Her structure, how calming it is to be inside it. The way she hangs upside down on her rig a lot, especially when examining you. Her cute nicknames for you. The way she thanks you for bringing her things. Her lil beepy voice she has before giving you the mark. Everything. Her personality, her puppet, her breathtaking structure. I can’t choose one and I will not.

Hunter: Her story! How selfless her mission is, and how she’s a little creature doing her best to save someone she’s never even met before. She uses her limited time to save someone who suffers the same fate as her—body breaking down, seizing and collapsing. I also like that she’s pink :)

Least fav thing about them?

Moon: Impossible. Nothing.

Hunter: I guess…how neglected she is? She’s never anyone’s favorite campaign (just get good at the game, scrubs), and she was the only scug that didn’t get an updated ending/attention in downpour. Obviously artihunter means she’s popular within the fandom, but game-wise a lot of ppl seem to forget about her, when it’s honestly a REALLY fun campaign!

Favorite Line:

Moon: “And so clearly, this forced broadcast is directed to you, Five Pebbles.”

Idk what it is about this line specifically, but I legit cannot read it without bursting into tears. I managed to hold it together but I read that line in her broadcast and just lost it. I cried for like 30 minutes and had to go hug my mom.

Hunter: Obviously she doesn’t speak in the game, but here’s one of my fav line(s) from a fic Im writing:

Moon: Is it weird to say Moon and Ruffles? It’s so cute that Moon named her and Ruffles seems to stay around even after the campaign. I headcanon that Rivulet struck out on her own to find out who she was, and after many adventures, decided that Ruffles was who she was.

Hunter: Ruffles too!! I see them having a cute sibling dynamic thanks to lilypad :3

Random Headcanon:

Moon: BEEPS! She beep-snorts when she laughs and often tries to hide it but Sig has made it her life mission to make Moon beep-snort-laugh as much as possible hehe

Hunter: She acts a LOT like Sig. Despite her ferocity in battle, she’s pretty goofy and playful during less intense moments. She also considers herself as Sig and Moon’s daughter (as do they)

Unpopular Opinion:

Moon: SHE IS NOT JUST “BORING FEMALE CHARACTER.” She has personality! She’s insanely stubborn when it comes to using her seniority privileges and obviously takes her role as local group senior very seriously. She is “nice and kind” but that doesn’t make her flat/stereotypical. Of course she’s gonna be nice to the player, you’re a little helpless animal.

Hunter: PLAY HER CAMPAIGN. PLEASE. It is not as daunting as you think it is, ESPECIALLY if you’ve beaten downpour cats! It IS challenging, but for me it really brings back the spirit of the original game: youre a helpless little creature. You can’t generate spears out of your ass, you can’t make explosives, all you can do is run slightly faster and throw spears slightly harder. You have to use your wit and skill to get through it, but it is so worth it.
