Gem squinted down at the figure lying facedown on the grass. "Hm. Yeah. I don't think that's normal or very good."
"Do you know who this guy is, or," asked Sparrow, who was wearing a pair of sunglasses since she was outside. "Because I have no idea who they are."
"Oh, yeah, I know him," said Gem cheerfully. "Not sure why he's doing this, though." She walked over to the figure and nudged him with her foot. "Hello? Are you awake?"
The figure did not move nor respond.
Gem crouched down, nose scrunched. "How long has he been here?"
"No idea," said Sparrow. "I just found him here 15 minutes ago. I think it's been a minute, though. Is that vine growing over his leg?"
"Oh, it is," said Gem, sounding suddenly marginally more concerned. "Well this isn't good. I wonder if I can ask Scott or Oli to help."
"I heard my name," said a voice immediately. "Hi Gem."
"Hi Oli," said Gem. "Didn't see you there."
"Most people don't," said the voice. Sparrow tried and failed to see the source of the voice, but could not, since they were silent, as was Gem. "Why is Pix dead?"
"I don't think he's dead," said Gem, checking his wrist for a pulse and standing up again without comment. "Just really, really asleep."
"Wait, are you Sparrow?" asked Oli. (At least, Sparrow assumed this was Oli anyways.)
"Yep."
"You're the warden guy!" Oli said triumphantly. "You can't see people if they're not making noises, right?"
"That is true," said Sparrow with a nod. "I also picked up these sick shades because light is way too bright for me otherwise."
"Wait, Sparrow," said Gem, turning to them. "If you can't see people if they're not making sound, then how did you know there was someone here?"
"Oh, uh," said Sparrow, who in all honestly had 1. not thought that far into its explanation and 2. tripped right over the body. "A bird landed on him and I could tell because it looked to me like it was floating above the ground."
Meanwhile, Oli had walked over to where Sparrow assumed Pixl's ear was and was poking various areas of his face. "Hello?" he said as he went. "Pix? Earth to Pixlriffs? It's Oli, your favorite bard. You went to my funeral. Remember me? Guys," he said, turning back to the two without skipping a beat, "I think he's dead."
"Went to your... funeral?" asked Sparrow.
"Yeah, I faked my death and then left with my son," said Oli.
"You have a kid?"
"I don't think he's dead," said Gem thoughtfully. "His body would have decomposed by now. Also, he'd smell a lot worse."
"That'd be a feat," grumbled Sparrow.
"He's got to have so many bug bites," said Oli in awe.
"Yep, which is why I wanted to talk to Scott to try and move him," said Gem.
"Are you sure you want Scott?" asked Oli. "He'd probably like, try to kiss him or something."
"I'm going to be there to make sure we don't get a Sleeping Beauty situation," said Gem confidently, her hands on their hips. "He's scared of me, and for good reason. We'll be fine."
"Okay," said Oli, walking back over to the body. "Wait. I need to try something." He took a deep breath, then, directly into Pixl's ear, voice breaking from the volume: "PIXLRIFFS!"
"Ow," hissed Sparrow, hands flying to his ears. "Dude, I'm a Warden. You have to warn me first."
"Sorry," said Oli.
"Ow," grumbled the figure facedown in the grass, hand reaching up to scratch its ear. "You could have at least given me a countdown first, Oli. Why am I on the ground?"
"Hi, Pix," said Gem cheerfully. "Good to see you! You've been passed out on the ground and bitten by so many bugs for the past four months."
Pix looked up, his glasses literally stuck to his forehead. "What?"

all of stacy's visitors just accidentally end up...
leaving things.
megan left a bit of silk, dried but still surprisingly stretchy and tough to break. stacy ties it up and uses it as a hair tie
pearl leaves a bit of copper and wax, mainly for comment, but there's a little extra for stacy to "weld" it into a little ring she wears
by "weld" i mean dipping it into lava and shaping it then cooling and repeating since she's fireproof
she hasn't tried to give them back, mainly since she doesn't know where any of them live
she secretly hopes the next visitors leave something unintentionally too
Wait no this is actually so cute and kinda sad....
She's scared of interacting much with people and of course she doesn't get very many visitors out in the middle of the Nether, of course she gets lonely! She keeps little memorabilia of her friends visitors and wears them :(
