some transphobic person was in a youtuber server run by a trans woman with a lot of trans people in it and we kept asking what nuts' pronouns were and deez said "deez/nuts" after deez was refusing to answer. even after deez got banned, the server continued to respect nuts' pronouns.

That's actually kinda sweet of the server omg

#ask #anon #trans #transgender #lgbt #lgbtq #ftm #mtf #nonbinary #i see some people say that respecting everybody's pronouns even somebody like deez/nut is bad...#...but acting as though there is a time where you shouldn't respect somebody's pronouns is only going to hurt trans people in the end...#...like i have seen people say that you shouldn't respect a trans person's pronouns if they are an exclusionist before and it's like...#...this is the same principle... respecting everybody's pronouns when they tell them to you is only going to benefit trans and cis people #it ultimately isn't my place to draw a line on when you are allowed to misgender somebody because like... that line shouldn't exist #if a person is going to be transphobic they will find *any* way to be so #if a cis person thinks it humiliates the trans community by going by deez/nuts. um #i feel like that's only going to humiliate themself ngl #and honestly? i feel a lot safer in a community which gives basic respect to everybody. you can condemn people...#...but you can condemn people without denying somebody basic respect. idk.#but yeah good on the server for banning deez #and good on the server for respecting deez pronouns #the worst part of only giving two forms of your pronouns is when you don't know the proper way to use the rest of the pronouns
