the consumerism around Fandom culture is making me a bit insane. like the way most people don't think about where the things they buy will go when they die or move on has been nagging on me. then they'll be like there's no ethical consumption under capitalism but that's more like you can't expect all the foods you eat to not be produced by unethical business practices or for it to not be packaged in plastic than buying acrylic charms off redbubble. and it's not to say you can't but everyone needs to be more thoughtful about it. like this overconsumption is poisoning the earth and you don't need another funko pop or other plastic knick knack. try more glass products just something that won't be killing the planet long after you've died idk

what kind of things would be so lucky as to be chosen by fyodor at that hypothetical antiques store?

I think well cared for, sturdy, and nice looking wood (and maybe marble) furniture if he has a place and use for it would be something he would like. I was thinking like this kind of thing if it matched his space.

Chairs and couches are out of the question though, I think he enjoys the modern comforts of extra plush furniture so while he may appreciate higher quality things he wouldn't get those from an antique store imo.

I hc him as having his favorite teacup, even if he has other ones as well so I don't think he would get a cup and saucer specifically unless this broke and none of his other ones grew on him more. He might if he is trying to match a complete set to serve multiple ppl to his fave though if he doesn't already have it. Otherwise I think he wouldn't mind his tea pots not matching. So if he came across something that caught his eye he would get it. But as far as accumulating too many of one item I don't think he would. So that still would be considered with his choice, multiple teapots yes but a bunch of teapots? A cabinet of teapots? I don't think so unless other ppl kept getting them for him.

A book or something small like an old post card or stationary I could see catching his fancy, so maybe something like that as well.

ngl tho i saw a goth today. or like. she had black hair and black clothes and black makeup so im presuming she was a flavour of goth and i was so awestruck i love that. now i feel kinda bad tho cus god i wish that were me i wish i wore black makeup and had black hair and comfidence and looked really fucking cool

and like yes i absolutely could just do this but every time im like man wouldnt that be cool im like. but what if im not Enough. what if the real goths and alts and punks show up and decdie to collectively tell me im not allowed to dress like that cus im not alt Enough or i dont listen to the right music Enough or i dont have the right personality Enough and so on
