Something I like about Leo is that he’s honestly really chill? It’s easy to remember the moments where he’s being obnoxious or excitable but I feel like most of the time he’s incredibly “go with the flow” and has an overall affable demeanor.

#rottmnt #rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles #rottmnt leo #rise leo #Genuinely speaking I feel like said demeanor is incredibly useful for when he has to charm and/or persuade people into listening to him#I have a whole post talking about Leo’s charm and how he consistently gets people to hear him out even if he’s annoyed or upset them #like they’ll still listen to what he has to say in full #his charisma stat is real and utilized quite often in this series I swear he’s not just a loser cringeboy all the time 😭#if he wants to persuade and/or charm then he honestly sooo often does #me listing the 400th reason why Leo grows up to be the worlds best ninja and a good 365 of those reasons are Leo’s various subterfuge skill #Like most episodes where he’s not the main focus (and even many where he is)#he’s a voice of reason who notices things quickly and is often the one taking point to talk down situations #something interesting I found between Leo and Mikey is that #Mikey tells people what they need to hear #Leo tells people what they want to hear #not only out of his own agenda either #when bullhop was wrecking their home leo was the one that negotiated to make the situation go smoother #even if he would have rather bullhop left #meanwhile Mikey is the one who bluntly tells things as it is #small character moment that means a lot to me #Mikey is an honest boy who is upfront about his feelings #Leo prefers to let people make their own decisions he wants them to through steering the convo in that direction #but he is easily cowed by guilt #regardless leo is a people person - he knows how to talk to them and how to manipulate/persuade #and I like that his bros know this and often push him forward to do the talking if they wanna charm someone into doing what they want #I think Leo’s hope speeches are also an example of this - he’s saying what people really want to hear (and often it’s ALSO what they NEED)#the further the series goes on the higher Leo’s inner stress rises and he just keeps that chill aura anyway #there’s a reason!!! he wanted to go to a SPA so badly!!#literally the first thing he does when he gets in is rest #no joke meditation would do him good? like- it’s a Leo thing and I genuinely think rise leo would be no different here

being a child is so bizarre because my parents got called in once in second grade to discuss how i would switch the order of numbers while doing subtraction, and that made me give up all hopes of my dream career, and even now i feel that a related dream career is almost too difficult all because of the math.

So happy with my current follow-up team! Moze really makes my Ratio shine, finally that man is useful for once.

#aria rants #having both moze and jiaoqiu in my ratio team is sooo fun! ratio gets to do his followup 100% all the time now and theres even #a moze thatd tag team with him i love it now. yaknow the grumpiness ive been having with ratio? this guys stats is my 2nd highest #hes my 2nd strongest character (1st being argenti) and yet i couldnt even use him well enough cuz i had to skip topaz for someone #else and then i wanted aven but the guy dodged him so badly. my kafka shines better in dot dedicated teams so shes never compatible #with ratio despite also having a followup mechanic herself. so i RARELY get to use my ratio at his full potential and everytime.#EVERYTIME! i see this guy Not do his followup AT 80%! my irritation for him grows. doesnt even help that hes my 2nd #strongest cuz the mf acts so much like my weakest character. HE HAS 209% CRIT DMG WHY IS HE LIKE THAT #i didnt even intend for him to be that strong. i just wanted him to be strong enough for me to use but rng says: nope!#finally tho... after getting jiaoqiu i finally got to bring ratio out without the disappointment of his wretched followup #and now i have moze!!! One day I might actually write an essay thing about how the reboot completely destroyed Pinky and Brain’s characters I am soooo very passionate about that subject

#Hi Johnathan 😎 I wanna play a game #compare and contrast….#also they assassinated the warners so badly too and I also might discuss them someday but Pinky and Brain are just. so much more closer #to my heart and their reboot personalities make me sooo angry #TLDR Reboot Pinky and Brain are just tropes with arms and legs and it pisses me off soooo much I swear to god #also not really a fan of how the reboot sort of frames Brain as a villain when he’s… not? he’s a good mouse who wants the best for the world #meanwhile he is megalomaniacal. doesn’t mean he’s villainous. He does get carried away with his plans at times but in the end I think he #was just heavily misguided or desperate #I mean if I was chasing after this crazy almost unachievable goal I’d get a little crazy with plans at times too #my self doubt makes me want to do a pop shove it and say HOWEVER I may be remembering things wronggg take this with a grain of saltttt #who knows #if I’m wrong I’m wrong! but I think this chunk of meta has merit to it in a sense #did I just write patb meta #oh my god #WAIT TAG EDIT IM COMING BACK #Can we talk about how OUT OF CHARACTER Brain tampering with Julia and making her.. Julia (lol) is??#I’m so sure that Brain wouldn’t ever do that?? I remember he wanted to save Billie from being shocked by the scientists. he was so #frantic about it and genuinely cared about her well-being. And the way he mentions his past in both the reboot and the original kind #of tells us that he’s obviously disturbed by what has been done to him #I don’t think he would want to inflict that same pain onto someone else #and yes he does use Pinky to test his mechanisms but I think completely genetically altering a field mouse for a singular plan and #then throwing that mouse away is just. not who he is??#but anyway that whole episode is a trainwreck and they could have introduced Julia in a much better way #long story short Pinky is RIGHT THERE Brain lmao

the listeners isn’t really working for me but i took a quick look at its storygraph reviews and people r really getting caught up on the wrong things. tbf it is so clear that my experience reading this with some knowledge of how jordan writes & approaches stories is giving me a very specific bias

#also never shopping in my nearest town again maybe #i saw my cousin's ex who lives an hour away and her friend together which is so....... like wow i really thought i'd seen the last of him #very messy situation #started talking to a cashier/stocker i've spoken with on occasion for several years and she showed me some of her art & poetry (???)#got in line in front of one of my former classmate's dads who tried to proposition me right after my mom died #went to the new dollar store which has four self checkouts & one manned‚ tried to use a self checkout and the cashier said #'we don't have self checkouts' i said 'do you mean today or period' she said 'period' and we discussed how badly that's got them fucked up #they're literally running one of the self checkouts as a manned checkout when things get busy like...#and it was JUST built!! like just less than a year ago i think #i always come home from that town wanting to pull my hair out it's sooo strange!! like everything is craaazy #i also got fucking scammed!#i forgot to check until just now but the grocery store likes to run a weekly sale then not update the computers to reflect it #like they've done this for years and years #and i paid $1.99/lb for apples that were marked down to $1.12/lb so i overpaid a damn dollar #during the panini when it was my only source of groceries sometimes the difference would literally be like $50 because of big ticket items #i'd usually walk out‚ unload and read the receipt‚ then walk back in and get my refund. every friday.#and if i didn't i'd be out like $100/month for nothing on top of everything costing double what it did in the city #that place is fucking cursed. like there's just layers and layers of misery covering every surface.#adam yaps
