made a deal with an aberration thing in DnD tonight and I don’t think either the DM or the other players were expecting my character to accept so that was fun on all fronts
#shhh sharkie#genuinely very fun!#i was joking afterwards that im a very ‘push the red button’ kind of player cause with dnd in and of itself as a game#i will always go for that high risk option cause what’s the point if you don’t?#i’m not gonna like break your game on purpose i’m not here to derail things#but if you offer me an extreme option i’m almost always going to take it#there’s literally no consequences it’s not like burning items in a video game or playing monopoly or smth#we’re story-telling!! i want to take every opportunity to make this the most interesting story we can!#anyway we’re chasing after this dude who has information on my sibling and it turns out he’s Made Of Bugs#and Bug Dude offered to my character that he would answer my questions if we stopped attacking him. and i accepted.#i tried to be very jargon-y with my side of the deal to open it up to us finishing him off once we have the info i need#but yeah it’s either sorta survive the fight and i go home with no info#or pause the fight on tenuous terms and i get a Lot of info#and he’s tied into some of the other players’ stuff so now they get to sorta safely interrogate him too#hoping this works out marginally well for us lol i have 11/46 HP rn 😬#EXCITED FOR NEXT WEEK ALREADY
