one of the older dan and phil vlogs popped up in my youtube recommended and i started thinking about dan and phil's relationship again (as i always do lol) and i'm actually even more jealous of them for having so many memories of theirs documented in videos like living together going out to the city putting up a christmas tree together etc (i think it's obvious what video exactly i'm talking about) and it's also while both of them have their own youtube channels and approaches to them they regularly appear in each other's videos.... so many of us just live our lives, not even thinking about stopping to document some moment in our lives for different reasons and then those moments never come back and we have nothing to remember it with no matter how bad it has been sometimes you cannot deny that they have so much stuff to look back on that literally makes me want to create my own youtube channel and go out looking for my soulmate

a few thoughts/theories ab pib/cat:

pib received a ring in the space between stories that was instrumental to the plot of finding the spider queen and returning it to the endless nights

mother goose, shrahrazad, and aesop are the only storytellers we know exist

aesops fables are pretty much exclusively about anthropomorphized animals causing chaos and teaching lessons

(notably many cats, foxes, and rabbits)

brennan talks in adventuring party about the archetype of these animals, but that archetype largely comes from aesop. there are examples in all sorts of stories, but aesop is famous for it

between pib’s proficiency in this spiders cave that he’s already demonstrated and the clue of aesop being brought up, i suspect the “trickster gods” have a lot to do with either aesops realm, or perhaps their existence spans over multiple realms, not just the neverafter
