she is so. SAVAGE towards him. she speaks with a mouth full of blood. there’s deep deep pain there. years of anger and terror and boredom and misery. she wants to kill him and she wants to kill the version of herself that loved him. i betrayed her, overwrote her, and i am better for it. the fucking courage it must have taken her to say that.

she doesn’t want his gifts. she won’t return an unasked-for kiss. she is leaving and starting a new life without him and there is nothing he can do about it because it has already happened. i wonder how much of the dream is words she really said on the day she left for the aerodrome and how much of it is harry addressing himself through her. she can’t have known that harry would mourn for 6 to 20 years, or that she would get over him in only one. he has to use her mouth to say the words that will most hurt him. he has to punish himself sufficiently for losing her.
