I'd like more of Halsin excelling at traditional wood elven hunting methods - he wouldn't really need them, necessarily, as he likely hunts more often using his wildshape, but I feel like it's a skillset he possesses and would make for interesting fic exploration.
I felt inspired to make a few memes with the 2023 cast! The mugshot one is not intended as ship btw, I just think that an alliance between MK and Ripper would be very fun and chaotic enough to end up with a little crime XD Zee and Axel are pretty much the embodiment of those two memes so there you go
Today's randomly-stumbled-upon fact that feels worthy of being shared with my fellow Tumblr-users:
Isaac Watts, the guy who wrote the Christmas carol "Joy to the World" in 1719, showed a proclivity for coming up with rhymes as a child in the late 1600's. When asked why he was keeping his eyes open while reciting a prayer, he impertinently replied with the couplet
A little mouse for want of stairs
ran up a rope to say its prayers.
When this answer earned him corporal punishment, he cried out
Oh father, father, pity take
And I will no more verses make!
It was a one shot before, but I'm making it a not-one shot anymore :)
Summary: What if instead of doing his crazy jump over a roof, Nacho helped Lalo when he hurt himself in El Mich's kitchen so he could gain his trust. Maybe it piques Lalo's interest a bit more than Nacho initially intended.
Chapter 2 summary : 2 days after the events in El Mich's kitchen, Lalo arrives earlier for a Poker night at Nacho's place.
Warnings : wounds, implied/referenced child abuse
Word counts chapter 2: 4,5 k

A knock on the door. Jo smiled brightly again, opening a door with the face of a happy puppy welcoming a stranger in its very home. Innocent, oblivious, kind. Lalo stood there, smiling back. And the intensity and sharpness of his gaze as they fall first on Jo then on Nacho, standing a step behind her, had nothing kind. Nacho only realized he stopped breathing under his scrutiny when Lalo looked back at Jo, devastating charm pouring out of his every words, sounding so wrong and fake to Nacho's ears.
"Hola chica! It's the first time I see you here, eh? Pleased to meet you, I'm Eduardo, but you can call me Lalo." Lalo said as he stepped inside.
"I'm so pleased too! Nacho never tell us anything about you guys!"
Jo looked over at Nacho with a pout as she closed the door after Lalo. Nacho witnessed Lalo's eyebrows flying up as he looked down at Jo.
"Us?"
Oh. That was bad. The tone of this single word. Nacho could feel sweat starting to gather at the base of his neck. He should interfere before something-
"Yeah, us! Amber!" Jo shouted, summoning said Amber carrying a bundle of clothes from the living room.
"Hi." welcomed Amber, nonchalant and slow, as usual, a small smile at the corner of her mouth.
The laugh that rose from Lalo's throat made Nacho's mental alarms finally ring out powerfully enough to get him in action.
I started Knack today on stream, and was inspired to look up the voice cast thanks to how many of the voices sounded way too familiar. Turn out the cast is fuckin' start-studded! Travis Willingham! Larua Bailey! Matt Mercer! Josh Keaton ("Hey that guy gives strong Peter Parker vibes..." Turns out he did in fact voice Spider-Man!)! Jennifer Hale! And the titular Knack is played by Ikechukwu Prince Amadi, whom I didn't recognize at first until I looked at his other roles, he played J'onn J'onzz! The Martian Manhunter! Such a damn good voice! There are other voices on there I'm sure I've heard somewhere else as well, so no matter how the game itself is the voice acting at least is S-tier!
