What I think would actually happen if they stole SQQ? Absolutely nothing good for anyone, LBH would Lose His Fucking Mind xD as a more interesting answer though, I like the idea that Shen "Pedantic Nitpicky Asshole" Qingqiu's primary point of argument is that he is not a bride so he cannot be "bridenapped" regardless of demonic tradition or intention!

This eventually leads to them all completely avoiding the Maigu Ridge incident because TLJ realizes that, somehow, SQQ doesn't realize the depths of his son's feelings for him and decides to put all his efforts into being a wingman for his nephew instead because he finds the entire thing absolutely hilarious and rather satisfying after his own sad romance. Obviously someone like SQQ would do much better with his good, loyal nephew than the disappointing offspring of that disastrous relationship!

As for ZZL he just has to assume that LBH must not be treating SQQ anywhere near the way he should be (and like... he isn't wrong at this point, there is a non-zero amount of torture and terror going on here) if SQQ doesn't see himself as being tied to LBH in any way. And if he's not attached to LBH then there's absolutely no reason he shouldn't make his own efforts to seduce SQQ! After all, if LBH isn't valuing SQQ properly then obviously ZZL has to step up because someone as kind as SQQ deserves the best!!!

Something I really like about timebomb is that Ekko actually knows what he's getting into.

I'm not really seeing it get talked about but in season 1 they mention that Ekko and the firelights help people addicted to shimmer get off it and lead more fulfilling lives within the community. I should probably rewatch the scene for the exact wording (might be misremembering tbh) but that comment implies A LOT.

First: Ekko's mission is helping people where he can, he would probably try and help Jinx even if he wasn't in love with her

Second: He has experience dealing with severe mental illness as that often goes hand in hand with drug abuse, namely depression/suicidal ideation like what Jinx was exhibiting

Third: He's probably mapped out best course of action FOR dealing with this and has already figured out his own limits/boundaries. Meaning he knew what he was getting into trying to talk Jinx out of suicide, and was thus more equipped to deal with the aftermath

Fourth: He's probably helped ex members of Silco's gang. The firelights seem to have a theme of healing and repairing and recovering, so they've probably also learned to forgive. If they're mission is to rebuild the lanes into a safe space, they can't exclude people they don't like, they have to make room for them. I think they fought Silco out of necessity, and I doubt Jinx would be the first person they help who's killed one of them.

These all might be a bit of a stretch but I think it really fits. Beyond that, it shows that Ekko can ACTUALLY help Jinx. As much as unconditional love can do, Ekko has the tools for Jinx's recovery and a path ready for her. He also probably knows that her "healthy" will look different from AU Powder's "healthy." On top of that, I expect he knows how to respect her even in the middle of psychotic breaks and won't agitate her already frail mental state

I haven't done a comic in 4 years now, I can't believe this is my come-back XD. Though, on that note, know that I probably won't be pumping out any more comics - not any time soon, at least. But I do got more stuff planned for this au! If you ask about it, I'll 100% rant about it LOL

So when you look up what the fastest bird in the world is, Google with show the Peregrin Falcom

But there's a catch

The Peregrine is only fast when diving

When it dives to catch its prey, it can go up to 389km/h

Which yeah, pretty fast

But when casually flying, it only goes up to 120 iirc

The Needle Tail?

It can go up to 170km/h

Some have even recorded going over 300! (Close to the Falcon's dive, I believe)

Additionally, these birds only fly. Their habitat is literally listed as "the air," and some even believe they sleep while flying! They only ever land to brood and mate, and then they're off again. Their legs are so short that, if they ground, they can't fly again because it doesn't give enough room to flap their wings.

It fits Blurr perfectly!

It also has a blue-ish colour pattern I can work with lol (it's green, but it looks blue, lol)

Though, also, he isn't 100% like the Needle Tail, just based off of it. I still want avians to be sorta their own species and doesn't have to be exactly like their bird counterparts cuz they aren't them, they're their own thing.

That said, Blurr is one of the shortest from Avians population, still.

They're pretty big.

Another trivial detail of the design!

I was stuck between having his arms be his wings or have them be separate

Until I saw a drawing where they had both, and I realised, "Wait, why isn't that done more often! That's so cool!"

So that's sorta what I did

It's mainly to catch small prey when grounded and to stay better perched up on trees since they're much bigger and having extra fingers helps a lot. Or when they're climbing against a tree to pick up fruits, it gives them an extra boost and can better hang from it

But they're pretty much useless besides that lol

Other lore stuff. The time in which the au takes place is vaguely modern? But with fantasy aspects? I still haven't decided lol

Technology exists, but not in the way we have it sort of deal, idk, this au is pretty bare bones right now, so go wild with it XD I don't mind it, I love brainstorming it with people. I know this au isn't as big or complex as some others out there, but it's fun, and I hope yall like it too fjsjajaj

Another thing that I've noticed... While Newtwo is generally more emotional than Scarfy in normal times, Scarfy had the highest intensity of emotion during bad times. Scarfy, your drama talent is top notch 😭

T'is the night before Pit Babe 2 and while I'm really really ridiculously excited to see what insanity they've cooked up for us this time, I don't think I'm as hyped as I was for season 1 when the plot was kind of more low-key and the couples weren't 100% set.

...which basically is a really fancy way of saying PeteKenta stole my heart and it's kind of hard to go from there.

It's not like I'm disgruntled or can't get into the other pairings at all, but there was such a wildcard element to it in a normally very pre-planned and marketing-friendly industry, and I'm not sure if they're willing go there again (especially now that all the acting pairs are established and a very vocal part of fandom goes insane pretty much every time one of them so much as breathes into the general direction of another actor*). Sure, there'll (hopefully) be breadcrumbs until KimKenta is established** - and looking back that's pretty much all there was of PeteKenta in the first season anyway - but I suppose that's about it.

And with an ensemble cast as big as this one, I know it's difficult to be committed to every side plot and character (I'm pretty sure fans of Sonic and North and Kim and Dean and lmao even Winner*** felt the same way after the first season) so I don't really have a lot of expectations.

I mean, it'd be nice if Winner and Dean aren't as sidelined as the trailers suggested. Or if Willy is more than just the new villain du jour - especially since I already know I'll be gravitating towards them because, uh, when have I ever not immediately latched on to random side characters?

Anyway, this is a kind of long-winded way of saying that I'm once again watching for the wildcard element of it... so if I make gifs (dear universe, let me finally get over my gifmaking burnout bc I miss making gifs so much 😭🙏) it'll probably be of the most obscure and boring moments lmao

And on top of that I'm in Europe which I'm not sure Change2561 knows exist so I shall have to take to the Seven Seas even though I'm paying for a yearly iqiyi subscription because there's no way I'll subject myself to the cut youtube version again (also, there's no way I'll watch episodes twice - have you SEEN the BL calendar for May??).

So yeah, expect me 3 -12 hours late every Friday with only the most pathetic of Winner gifs (which is very on brand so I'm not even mad) in tow.

*and I don't even blame them. After all, marketing deals for acting pairs is what makes the most money in Thai BL.

went to yoga class w my friend for the first time in years, conclusions (already known) are that i like stretching and lunges, i dislike mindfulness in greater proportion the more Mindful im supposed to be and so this one was pretty ok because i received few instructions about my intended state of releasing thoughts or visions of rocking waves relative to the ones about extending stretch out through your fingers or lifting out of your hips, which are sensible suggestions

and unfortunately am still not sure this is a sustainable activity for me because resting my weight on my wrists is the Bad Pain and every single activity involves moving through downward dog multiple times and treating it like a pleasant neutral position to take some very long prolonged breaths rather than the site of grinding bone pain
