author's note: @judeswhore asked, and I delivered. he was so cute in these pictures too. yeah, I’m slowly going back to writing and I’m in my Jude era.

6 AM.

The sun is just rising as the back and forth keeps going at the airport. In the midst of people running from left to right to catch their plane, you sat on a bench, your feet propped on your suitcase. Your hand rubbed Jude’s cheek as he laid his head on your lap, staring at nothing, eyes hanging low.

“Get some sleep, baby, the flight is in an hour” You spoke in a low, tired voice.

“I can’t, it’s too much going on”

You laughed a bit, watching what was happening around you two. People arguing with staff on one side, others stressing to check their luggage in. Everything your two nosy selfs needed.

“What are they even arguing about ?”

Jude’s face turned the way you looked, squinting his eyes as if he would hear with them.

“She looks like a Karen”

“Yeah, she must have asked for information before, did not understand” Jude figured by looking at the scene.

“And did what they told her wrong” You added to your little scenario. “Now she’s mad screaming at them at 6 in the morning”

Your attention turned to the head on your lap. You always admired Jude when he was sleepy. He looked so calm and peaceful. His eyes were a little glossy and blinked slowly and his lips were in a slight pout. You left a little peck on them, causing a small smile to appear on his face. He pursed his lips as you gave him another one to which he kissed back.

After a few minutes, his breathing slowed, indicating he had fallen asleep. You grabbed your phone and set an alarm for twenty minutes before boarding and closed your eyes too.

Your ringtone awakened you as you instantly turned your alarm off. You stroked Jude’s cheek, waking him up as calm as you could. He got up from your lap, rubbing his eyes and yawning.

“You’re ready to go?” Jude asked in a cracking voice. 

You knew he had the best of a nap. You nodded and got up stretching. Maybe a bit too hard since you started to have a leg cramp.

“No, no, no” You sat down quickly as Jude chuckled, already aware of what you were on. He gave you his hand for you to intertwine yours with and grabbed your cabin bags heading to get on your plane.

Hi, since you’ve been reading the star wars books, do you have one you’d recommend as a starting point for someone who’s never read any of them and is interested in seeing what they’re like?

Hi! This is going to be very subjective, given that I'm not sure what your favorite characters are or which era you're interested in, and if you're interested in the best books out there or ones that typify what the books are overall like. BEST BOOKS: - Revenge of the Sith novelization by Matthew Stover, god-tier ability to take my favorite SW movie and make it even more emotional and hard-hitting. It adds even more depth to the story, has beautiful writing, and just is a really satisfying read imo. - Padawan by Kiersten White, which is a story about a young Obi-Wan going on an adventure by himself and I think really captures how I see his youth, that there was struggle and difficulty, but overall it explains why he loves being a Jedi and why there's so much joy in his life. - Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule is good for if you're interested in the High Republic stories and I still think is easily my favorite of the entire line. There was so much good foreshadowing and banger lines that really got Star Wars and was an exciting plot to really hook me on THR.

BOOKS THAT MOST TYPIFY WHAT SW BOOKS ARE LIKE: - Brotherhood by Mike Chen is one that I have some stuff I side-eye in it (everything with Mace) and some stuff I was over the moon for (everything with Obi-Wan) and some stuff I was in the middle about (everything with Anakin). That's Star Wars novels in a nutshell for you! (I also think Dooku: Jedi Lost by Cavan Scott is another good starting place, it's an audiodrama, but it gives an interesting backstory to the character, has some interesting Jedi worldbuilding, and does some really great character work with Asajj Ventress.) - Wild Space by Karen Miller is a Legends book (and I usually try to stick to Disney continuity just for ease's sake) but it has some eyeroll-worthy stuff, some unearned stuff, and some absolutely batshit bonkers in the best way stuff. It's a RIDE to read and maybe not one to take super seriously but I feel like it captures the spirit of SW books. (Alternate suggestion: Dark Rendezvous by Sean Stewart is a really good Yoda & Dooku book with a lot of good appearances by other Jedi characters and one of the better books for Jedi stuff, plus lots of feelings and banger conversations between characters.) (Alternate-alternate suggestion: Another Legends suggestion, since there are a lot of SW books in that continuity, you could read the Jedi Apprentice series by Dave Wolverton and Jude Watson, as long as you know they're aimed at a pre-teen audience and are written accordingly and they are SUPER dramatic and put Obi-Wan through the wringer. I'm not always wild about Watson's writing, but when she writes a banger line, she writes a BANGER line, and they're very fun books that a lot of fandom still folds into their writing.) - The Aftermath trilogy by Chuck Wendig is a good place to start if you want to explore the connective tissue between the originals and the sequels, though I always recommend that I think they work a thousand times better as audiobooks. It's mostly new characters (which, welcome to SW novels) but it also has some really good Leia and Mon Mothma scenes, too. - Leia: Princess of Alderaan by Claudia Gray is for if you're more interested in the Original Trilogy characters and while I wish there'd been more worldbuilding in this one, it's a solid story from someone who genuinely loves this character, and will give you a good idea of what you can expect from Leia books. (If you're more interested in a Han/Leia story, The Princess and the Scoundrel by Beth Revis is on the same level. Solid story with occasional moments of fantastic. I had a blast with the Leia sections especially!)

hello! i picked up tlt thanks to you (tlt and tlc are my favourite books haha) and i'm hoping to get into tfota! but before i pick it up, what would you say are the series' strong suits?

Hiii, I'm very glad you enjoyed TLT~~ I always have to preface recommending TFOTA with a disclaimer. I love these books and reread them all the time. They consistently cure my art blocks in miraculous ways. But they are decidedly Not Super Good objectively, and you WILL have to stomach some glaring mistakes.

Okay now that we got that out of the way here are its strong suits in my humble opinion. 1) Holly Black loves faeries and this world she has created for them so so so much. It is crazy. Her faeries are the proper, scary, weird, ugly, beautiful faeries. All the clothes, food, architecture, and inhuman attributes are described in detail and it's very clear it isn't just Stock Fantasy Number 10, and she does it over and over again bc she clearly enjoys it immensely. The palace is a big hill without windows with dirt floors and roots crawling all over, illuminated by glowing mushrooms and decorated with extremely ornamental floral furniture!!! How cool is that!!! Of course my artist brain goes brr whenever it is faced with these books!!!! 2) The characters are all DELIGHTFULLY horrible, we're talking "every adult character is an asshole except for maybe one person but you still can't help but love them". They are all soooo traumatized and tortured and operate on a reality that is completely unrealistic, but so much fun to follow their development. You find yourself relating to such outlandish situations. 3) THE RELATIONSHIPS!!! MAN!!!!! I am such a sucker for the core family relationship in these books it isn't even funny, but the romance is also super good. None of them are healthy, mind you, but that's the charm of them. "How much can Jude forgive in the name of love?" is the core theme of the series. And at first it is super fun to see everyone girlbossing all over each other, but by the end of the series you desperately WANT them to become happy because you somehow started caring about these assholes and it delivers on that front too without being too happily-ever-after. 4) The twists are TWISTING. Even in my TFOTA hater era I begrudgingly admired how well the plot twists land most of the time. The drama is excellent, characters keep blindsiding each other and betraying each other and it somehow makes sense. This series is the only time I've ever seen a plot twist where I was like "This is probably a fakeout, but it makes sense as both a fakeout AND if you play it straight and I love both options". 5) None of it is stock footage. It's so clearly not the author writing what is popular or what she has seen in other books. She has a tendency to copy, but she is copying herself because she obviously loves writing about certain things over and over again, and that is understandable since I also enjoy reading about them.

As you can see, I have a Lot of positives to gush over. If you decide to read them, I hope you have fun~

...which is embarrassing because it really isn’t the usual thing I write and I'm a little self-conscious about it!

Dooku, Sifo-Dyas, and Jocasta Nu in a Padawan-era “coming of age” Jude Watson Jedi Apprentice series treatment.  But pretty queer, a little darker, treated more seriously, and aged up a bit (since just going off Dooku: Jedi Lost, Dooku and Sifo-Dyas appear to be about half as mature at 17-18 as Obi-Wan was at 14 in JA) Snippet behind the cut of Dooku trying and failing to be a supportive best friend and mulling over the problem of pornography

Dooku sensed that Sifo-Dyas was actually upset. That was odd. He was the one who usually let Arath’s insults bother him, and the remark hadn’t been too dissimilar to the usual childish stupidity he hurled at them. But the young seer looked decidedly nauseous. 

“What?” Dooku asked. 

“What?” 

“Something is the matter?” 

“Hm?” Sifo-Dyas studied the mosaic-patterned window above their heads as if it were incredibly interesting. “No, nothing at all.” 

Dooku's frown deepened. 

Sifo-Dyas liked other young men. And Dooku knew that Sifo-Dyas liked other young men. But Sifo-Dyas did not know that Dooku knew that Sifo-Dyas liked other young men. Or… they hadn’t ever talked about it. Which, potentially, was why he was behaving so awkwardly just now.

Dooku considered telling him that it was nothing to feel embarrassed about, as Sifo-Dyas himself told him years earlier, when Arath had started mocking him over the royalty thing after Serenno. But he was too embarrassed to bring up the topic. Not because liking other men was embarrassing, but because it reminded Dooku that while his peers were getting crushes and deciding what sorts of people they liked, he himself was mostly just thinking about lightsaber forms. 

Even pornography, something he understood his age demographic was supposed to vastly enjoy, just gave Dooku vague stress. All of his questions were the wrong ones. How did the participants even know each other? Did they decide what acts to perform in collaboration beforehand, or was it spontaneously chosen? In sex, did you ask for the things you wanted, or did your partner just somehow guess? And how could he possibly know what or who he wanted if he hadn’t done any of it before? 

But when he brought up these frank concerns to Sifo-Dyas, he'd thought he was joking. 

Well, the problem of pornography would keep. At present, they needed to jump out of this window.

So... what SW Legends stuff would you recommend? I've already started reading Heir to the Empire, if that helps?

Ooooh!! Okay Heir to the Empire is the PERFECT starting place, that's where I started too! (I think. I also vaguely remembering reading these Darth Bane books when I was younger, but I digress)

(edit: also, I am not an expert on Legends, so if anyone who knows it better would like to offer any other recs (in a respectful manner that doesn't involve talking about how much you hate the sequels) feel free to add to this post!)

Others that I would recommend would definitely depend on what era you're looking for, but most of the stuff I know is post Return of the Jedi. If it's not, I'll make sure you know! (I'm gonna put part of this under a cut, it got kinda long)

The Hand of Thrawn duology. It's set like ten years after Heir to the Empire, and wraps up the events of those books super well! Plus it has more Talon Karrde, who is my favorite background character ever. The first book is Specter of the Past, by Timothy Zahn!

If you're a Mace Windu fan, Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover was really good! It's set near the end of the Clone Wars, and is about a mission he went on to find his missing apprentice. It was fun to read from Mace's point of view, and see how he's actually a lot more caring than a lot of fans depict him. Also, he headbutts a shocking amount of people. Mace is not immune to the chaos gene that comes with being Force sensitive

Technically, these are kids books and I might only like them because nostaglia, but the Last of the Jedi series by Jude Watson is fun! It's set directly after Order 66, and follows a former Jedi who grew up with Anakin, and the escapades and hijinks he gets up to

The Rogue Squadron books by Michael A. Stackpole are pretty good, especially if you like fighter pilot shenanigans. Rogue Squadron is Wedge Antilles's elite squad of pilots, and the main character is Corran Horn, who is a former Corellian Security member (basically a cop) and gets into all KINDS of trouble. I've only technically read a couple of those books, and admittedly, I don't like them as much as their follow up series. But if you do enjoy these books, you should check out I, Jedi, by Michael A. Stackpole, which is about Corran in later life

The follow up series is the Wraith Squadron books by Aaron Allston. It's also about a squadron Wedge put together, but it's made up of washouts and rejects, and they end up as a black ops division. It's simultaneously really sad and some of the funniest Star Wars I've ever read, and there's a running joke about an Ewok lieutenant

I'm gonna recommend the Republic Commando series by Karen Traviss, but with a caveat. Karen Traviss, for some reason, seems to really, really hate the Jedi. And that is reflected in her writing, but it's almost worth it for the Mandalorians adopting clones and the TRAGEDY. This one is set during the end of the Clone War, through Order 66. It also does not end super satisfyingly, but it's weirdly good anyways. So it's really up to you whether or not you think you can handle the rampant loathing of Jedi

Uhhh let's see, what else. There are so so many Legends books. The Jedi Academy Trilogy by Kevin J Anderson isn't the best written, but it gives you a really good look at what Luke's new Jedi Order looks like as he's building (and also happens, timeline-wise, at the same time as I, Jedi)

I think those are the main ones I know well enough to recommend! In my experience, anything by Timothy Zahn or Aaron Allston is pretty good. Avoid Troy Denning at all cost-- he does not, in my experience, write stuff that is particularly admirable, and it can be kinda gross. If you end up with a particular character you like a lot who you're looking for more content of, there's a good chance there's more out there! Feel free to send me any other questions you have, and don't feel pressure to read all of it. No one can possibly be an expert on all of Star Wars, there's just. Way too much of it (of course that's not really gonna stop me from trying)

Birthday: May 14th (Taurus)* Height: 160 cm Affiliation: Theater, Crown (temporary) Curse: The Juniper Tree: Marlinchen *not intended to be recently, that's just a coincidence

"My mother she killed me, My father he ate me, My sister, little Marlinchen, Gathered together all my bones, Tied them in a silken handkerchief, Laid them beneath the juniper-tree, Kywitt, kywitt, what a beautiful bird am I!"

In "The Juniper Tree", Marlinchen's tears assist in bringing her brother back to life. Following the tale, her tears provide physical comfort to someone for a set amount of time, but like numbing rather than anesthesia. She tends to use it more on people suffering a fatal wound, to let them pass in peace. Elsie is rather sensitive and prone to crying... in conjunction with her ability, her ability tends to be rather inconvenient for herself...

She hates the stench of blood and flesh. However, her ability does come in handy when helping out Roger (he tends to accidentally cause more damage to the person when this happens because he doesn't know when he's going too far) Roger sometimes uses the tears as numbing.  Then the members have to drag her away from Roger lest he get turned-

She works as a costume designer for the theater where Liam works at. Occasionally she writes her own plays. Sometimes she'll go to the bar and write with quill and pen for hours on end...

Have you read Captive Bride by Johanna Lindsay?

This year I decided to try more old school historical romances

I haven't--I'm not yet sure that I want to go into sheik romances, tbh. Even for the project, where I'm going to intentionally read problematic books.

My next Johanna is going to be Prisoner of My Desire, which I actually think I did read at an outrageously young age. That one is pretty legendary, though it does have noncon and dubcon, enacted by both parties.

If you are looking for more old school authors, I would definitely recommend:

Julie Garwood--active from the 80's onward, just recently left of us. She writes a mixture of historical, romantic suspense, and I think contemporaries as well, and her historicals are all over the place in terms of time period and location. My favorite by her thus far is the verrrry classic "The Bride", which is an English/Scottish border marriage medieval. Has the classic "You call her mine" "I won't take you until you're wearing my plaid" Alec Kincaid. Technically a heads up for dubcon because Alec... gets the party started while Jamie is asleep (and not in a Sebastian St. Vincent "you're hard to wake up" way, in a "oh boy that is in there" kind of way). To be fair, she loved it. To be fair, I also loved it.

Judith McNaught--80's onward, known for her Westmoreland books. My favorite is A Kingdom of Dreams, another Scottish/English medieval but this time SHE'S the Scottish one, and is literally known as "the Merrick bitch" because she's a nightmare and basically emotionally terrorizes this man for most of the book after he kidnaps her. He does outsource his kidnapping! But by the time the king forces them to marry he's hauling her to the altar like "LOOK BITCH I DON'T WANNA BE HERE EITHER" and it's soooo funny. Heads up that she's like... a cool 17 (so is Jamie in the above book, I think, it was a different time) and there's some dubcon by way of coercion. But again, she loved it.

Jude Deveraux--80's onward, kinda writes a little lighter? And her genres are all over the place too. Still working. Did a delightful Trailblazer episode on Fated Mates. My favorite Deveraux is A Knight in Shining Armor (I have a hard back with the original cover and it is an AMAZING cover) which is a medieval time travel book in which the 80's era heroine is ditched by her fiance and his daughter with no money in the middle of nowhere, so she's like dramatically sobbing in this church or something and wishing for a knight in shining armor and one just APPEARS. But he's kind of the worst? And like tries to spend her money and shit lmao? ("Hero has no concept of money and keeps running bills up" is a microtrope I love.) Anyway, there is definitely some problematic stuff in this book and I haven't read it in a whiiile so no promises there, but I did enjoy it a lot back in the day. And it taught me a thing.

So those other three make up, with Johanna, the "4 J's". Other authors I'd recommend checking out:

Elizabeth Lowell. I guess the 90's romances are old school? But yes, I adore her Medieval trilogy--Untamed, Forbidden, and Enchanted. All of them involve pushy alpha heroes, medieval high drama, INSANITY, vague mysticism which is present more in older books. Enchanted definitely has a harder plotline--the heroine is recovering from rape, and some of the approach is dated but overall well-intentioned imo.

Anne Stuart--Just started reading her. DARK. A Rose at Midnight has noncon (past experiences, sorta the hero???), dubcon (with the hero), a very dark and murder-heavy backstory. It's a tough book, but I found it beautiful and super romantic.

What was the inspiration behind your oc? What was the first thing you decided about them?

Ollie: Like Athena, she sprung from the depths of my imagination fully formed and ready to do battle. It happened around the time I wrote about Renato showing up at Dorian's and mentioning other aquilae. I figured at least a few of Renato's comrades had to hate him, and that if one were his ex/rival it would be good for some laughs. A lot of Ollie's backstory is based on stories about cults and America's current political climate, extreme Protestant sects and transphobic panic in particular. She's a complicated character stewing with all sorts of emotions and I'm glad to have her around.

Micaela: She existed in a nebulous form when I started Phagophobia, but didn't coalesce until I decided Dorian would start out as human. She actually contained a few bare bones left over from a much older, villainous character, but by now the only resemblance is in the name. Coming from the same generation of bloodborn as Desmond and Theodore, she's part of the opposition to Mergus and his aquilae, highlighting different approaches to power, adversity, community, etc.

Elfy: Yet another character born from Phagophobia. I basically asked myself what kind of friends Isaac might have, and an extroverted, rebellious ghost hunter showed up first.

Ben: This one came out of a collaboration I started with two other writers years ago. He was a direct contrast to the Twilight vampires, starting out as somewhat crude, self-centered, and honestly kind of a jerk (though he would grow over time). Ben's softened somewhat in recent years, though he still has some rough edges and can definitely be terrifying when he wants to be. His love of baseball has remained consistent.

Tilda: Another character who started out much darker and gleeful about violence, meant to be the original-version-of-Ben's werewolf girlfriend. Eventually, though, I decided her lupine curse could be used to explore other avenues maybe, and she changed just like he did. Her full name, Clotilda (which she despises), comes from the last known slave ship to bring captive people from Africa to the U.S. It was burned and scuttled to hide the deed since Congress had banned importing slaves (though not owning human beings of course). Her family is loosely based on those who commissioned the ship. They're an example of insular Old Money and how oppression evolves in different eras, with a horrific supernatural element thrown in for good measure.

Yi: She was just a name until I started writing Phagophobia. Her tattoos, short hair, and muscles were the first details to pop up, the latter maybe inspired by Jude Perry from The Magnus Archives. Yi's also just a type of character I like: looks like a one-dimensional bruiser, but is actually steady and thoughtful. She's meant to be the most sympathetic of the enforcers and go through her own arc about her views on the Coven.

Mergus: He's got pieces of a few characters mixed in, including the name. But being a ruthless bastard with a lot of charisma is the unifying theme. Mergus is based on the type of person who's dangerous because he seems so reasonable and caring. And he is...to a point. He helped a lot of vulnerable humans during the break, including kids like Renato and Ollie. It gave him genuine pleasure to be of service. And in the back of his mind he had a sense that service would generate a lot of loyalty. That, say, a couple of trans kids with no support system would latch on to him and absorb his ideals because they trusted him. He doesn't make the rules, he just plays by them, and with skill, you understand.

when did you join ? what made you join ? what do you remember from the plotlines that were current at the time ? where were you in life when you joined and where are you now ?

i think it was julien in august 2019. not a very successful run because it was one of those periods when absolutely everyone connected with his plot was on hiatus shortly after, and my activity fizzled out because the dash had dried up too. i joined because jude asked me to. i was picking my life out back then and now i almost have my phd, and see patients for group counselling regularly.

what is your favourite plotline that you've been part of ?

this is going to sound crazy, but that big group thread in farnauld's early days ! you could really see how people handled different situations and how they presented themselves.

what about other people's plotlines ?

every milvente thread had me hooked, but i also specifically adored the way j wrote ines, she was so perfectly delicate, yet not fragile. i loved that about her. and the russians, i loved the entire dynamic there, how split they really were, but no one, except maybe kaspar towards the end, really ever got to know how bad it really was. i also genuinely loved meixu's plots with such a range of characters (i know two of them are jude, but it's hard to imagine kaspar and nadya being written by the same person), i swear i am not only saying this (as i am realising now) because she dies early. did jude and serre plan this? do meixu and nadya die together? what are we missing? i was half expecting her to have a bad bitch transformation later on in life, but c'est la vie i guess.

who is your favourite character from the ones you've played ? why ? what made you love them ? what made them so fun to write ?

it's really really so hard for me to pick just one. kiara was the most fun to write of course, but it was hard to keep her long term. ahana would have been so much more interesting than she seemed had we, as all the muns behind india, been less tired all the time to really pull together all the complex things we'd plotted. tekla came naturally to me, i have no idea why, and i adore her, but my biggest soft spot is with elias. i think he was the character i was the most careful with, i reflected the most with him and really dug deep and explored themes i had never had to before. he was one character who really straddled dialectic tensions the most, and it was really interesting to see it play out in threads.

if you could relive a plotline, which would it be ?

viani wedding was genuinely so fun. i know i was only a stand-in for the original vera, but it felt so nice to be part of that nostalgia everyone was always talking about, for a short while. there are also... a lot of gifs of sharon stone taking off her footwear/pressing the pad of her foot... just saying. every single time kiara antagonised ebba just because she could. i won't lie it fed an evil little part of me. tekla and thore's chaotic era, that was also fun.

is there a plotline that you'd edit now if you could ?

i'm sure there is, but i can't think of any at the moment <3

what's a plotline you wish you would have been able to finish before closing or just write more of ?

i think i had a lot of false starts with julien. it's always going to be a regret that i didn't do more with him because he was the character i did the most character building work on (besides elias). i was very proud of the end result after i'd first apped for him. he was probably in the best spot to be developed when i first brought him, and when i revived him again, i was busier, and i couldn't quite devote the time to expanding his connections and the atmosphere around the french was quite set already. i also never posted the wc for his partner even though jude and martha reminded me a million times.

Ah I'm the market expansion into the asia-pacific market anon, I vaguely remember sending your something on the topic before around a year ago when BTS did their LV thing. But I can can be Anon 2 or Needle Anon or what, I don't mind, it's neither here nor there.

I've only jsut had time to catch up on the fashion shows, life gets in the way, and the delightful interactions with your other Fashion Anon, the perspective is interesting. Because as much as I keep up with Modern fashion my focus and a lot of interest is mainly on fashion history and observing different elements which can be found in the contemporary scene vs. previous eras. And then of course how fashion penetrates and has penetrated different markets due to history and stuff. So I believe our skill sets are different. I will share some of my observations and feelings? of the shows I've had time to watch in a bit. Maybe I'll do that in a separate ask because this might get long and it'll be easier to keep the topics together…

I, however, first want to re-address the initial ask where you answered me on the consumer side of things and decisions of brands to employ certain idols for promotion. It is of course very smart to employ lots of different idols/celebrities in general who, may have a fanbase in similar age range, but other demographic factors which diversify them as to reach a wider audience. All the odious infighting of the fandoms over their idols' ambassadorships is a waste of energy because I believe it is very likely just a case of "oh have we reached this demographic yet, who can we get on board to solve that" mentality on side of the brands. It is of course very possible that particularly fashion affine people will be chosen or it comes down to a fit with the brand, but this might also change with different collections over years since usually taste and fashionable silhouettes and bodies in particular are ever evolving too.

I think at this point everyone is aware of these luxury brands but may not endorse them until their idol of choice decides to and that may well be a growing number of middle class or working class people too. As you write it is very possible that they might look for items they can afford in the brands repertoire. Talk about real Spine Breakers when a lip gloss suddenly has to be Dior or LV for a 16 year old or a Uni student when food and accommodation prices are ever rising. Either way, as we have established it's a win-win situation for the Brands.

As you may well know, a fan/consumer base that is brought along is worth a lot. It's why influencer marketing is so prolific, and nowadays a reason why books are published by people with large followings, and everyone and their cats start their own fashion label or whatnot. This is all a global phenomenon, it's all mutually beneficial for those in these deals.

So this has, as expected got a bit long. I will be making a separate ask on the actual FW stuff now.

You mentioned something interesting here, about the changes over the years in collections and how the brand's image is prone to change, an obvious development anyway. My question would be, how much is that connected to the ambassador they appoint and how long? Let's look a bit contextually and historically. From what I know and read about and I'm talking here about Dior specifically but I'm sure it applies to others, some ambassadors have held the title for many years and even decades and stood the test of time, regardless of the trends and how the brand changed. For example, Sharon Stone or Isabella Adjani, and then you also have Jude Law who was an ambassador between 2008-2012 for Dior Homme fragrance. Pattinson helds the title as GA since 2013 and ongoing. But there is a difference between having actors and singers who historically have very specific means of reaching an audience and most of them have established themselves in another generation, not fully internet based. Now we see the shift with reaching a more globalized and vastly larger consumer base by employing public figures that have completely different methods of reaching their audience, the k-pop idols. And we've also been living in the influencer era, which is a part of an idol's role too and that changes the game. Pattinson doesn't bring the same consumer base in terms of social media engagement as Jimin might, or Jisoo. Trying to get to my question here, do you think that being a long time BA for today's hot trending people is something possible? Could Jimin or any other other be replaced faster due to how fast relevancy on social media changes and the type of following they have and if these public figures can become long term partners or they are merely relevant as long as they fit to the brand's vision for a certain period of time? (Meaning a few years and that's it)

I also want to note another aspect here which I know people easily dismiss by saying everyone can do whatever they want with their money, but that's a very obtuse capitalistic way of viewing things, but I don't have a problem addressing that. I think it's a problem that points out a lack of self awareness and how such discussions are burried or easily dismissed because the fandom mentality doesn't allow that. They see their consumer habits as part of their support for an artist. Fair, but I'm afraid we'll see a rise in purchase competition (it already exists in this generation, but it will be exacerbated in this particular case) and some hidden shaming towards some economic classes. But it's also the reality we're living in and we're most likely entering a recession, while part of this fandom will enter their big luxury brand purchases thanks to BTS. It's just how it is. And lastly, you mentioning Spine Breaker also shows the massive changes in the status and message the group is putting out and I'll leave it at that for now.
