Could you please post a sneak peak of the upcoming smut scenes 🫣🫣🫣🫣 I’m desperate for the next chapter!!!
i am so sorry this took so loooooong 😭
writing has not been easy at all lately, i've been completely avoiding it to be honest, so unfortunately, i don't have anything to share at the moment! 😔
i'm working on the next chapters and trying to finish the Trost arc before March 3rd but at this point, I can't make any promises 🥲

btw Still thinking about the moment where Tula first realizes she's literally, mechanically unable to keep up with / catch Jaysohn when he bolts and runs his full speed. That revelation that she's not fast enough to stop him, or get alongside him, much less get in front of him to protect him if he needed it. The dread terror of it. :(

god i wish they hadn't retconned maul's death. i get wanting to explore more of his character because he was, objectively, one of the coolest star wars characters to ever hit the big screen and didn't get much screentime prior to his death, but also his role was fulfilled perfectly within those constraints so i wasn't too upset by it.
but by retconning it and making it so he never died it's like. okay. what now? the whole point (well, to me, ymmv of course) of the theed generator fight was that it was the first ever fight between the jedi and the sith in thousands of years, and that in the end even though the jedi (obi-wan) won the fight, a jedi (qui-gon) and a sith (maul) still died. a master and an apprentice dying together to herald the start of a new age/the return of the sith. perfectly paralleling the way in rotj a master (palps) and an apprentice (anakin/vader) died together to herald the return of the jedi. in both instances, a father figure (qui-gon/vader) dies in the arms of their son (obi-wan/luke) as a sith (palps/maul) is cast down into the abyss to their deaths. (palps being alive in the ST and retconning his death in rotj is also annoying for this reason)
i mean i like maul. don't get me wrong. he's an incredibly compelling character and i enjoy seeing more of him... but there's always the thought hovering in my mind like "he should be dead though. he should 100% be dead. this wouldn't be happening if he was dead, but i honestly would rather it not if it meant that maul was dead."
like the tpm fight just doesn't hit the same knowing that canonically he's just. going to become a robot octopus at some point. (shoutout to palps becoming sith glados in the ST) it cheapens the moment for me. it was supposed to be a moment of triumph marred by the deep and soul-crushing loss of a loved one and it's just... not, anymore. or at least not to the same extent. AUGH i'm just. frustrated. wish star wars as a whole wasn't constantly reframing/retconning what's been established. just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

I find it funny how the fandom (or, at least, a part of the fandom I see a lot) has latched onto the "Moon is obsessed with rules" headcanon. True, he's the one that comes after Gregory for "punishment time", but...
Sun is the one calling the player a rulebreaker and kicking a literal kid straight into the less-than-friendly Glamrocks' waiting arms (for accidentally turning the lights off. As if Gregory would know touching a Freddy shaped security box would do that. If it even was Gregory and, idk, ""someone"" disabling the power in the daycare on purpose). Sun is the one nearly popping his circuits if you don't follow his instructions. Sun is the one threatening to release Moon on you if you so much as colour a page wrong. Sun is the one getting frustrated with Cassie if she screws up somehow (haven't played Ruin in a while, but I do think he freaks out if you approach him in the VR world after only disabling one - or zero - generators).
Moon on the other hand? Moon is fizzyfazzing vibing (well, not in Ruin for obvious reasons). Fulfilling his task and getting the kid? Sure sure, let him just jump from leg to leg first, and walk in a goofy way at an extremely slow pace (even Monty with no legs balancing himself on crutches would probably move faster), while giggling and alerting the entirety of the daycare to his precise jingly location. He only starts taking it seriously and entering the structures when you get some generators on, and even then he's still messing around. The robot cares more about his jester theatrics than his goddamn job. If Moon really does security patrols like many people believe he does, half of them are (or were, prior to the virus) probably him tormenting a poor overworked security guard (rip Vanessa, if you're out there...).
Don't take me wrong. I love a Moon who follows the rules to a malicious degree as much as the next person. And he does seem set on putting Gregory down to sleep and punishing him. He does seem intent on harming you in HW2. But let's be real, Moon doesn't give a shit about his job half the time - doing a goofy walk, riding a carousel... those are much better. If he gets to scare someone while doing it, jackpot for him. We only really see him struggle in Ruin, as far as I recall. Sun is the one running around like a bossy headless chicken trying to get everything in order.
I think it's because Moon is the one who directly says "you must be punished" and harms you? But even then my man jumps on the table, does a goofy move, and flies off to give Gregory some time to hide for their little hide and seek game. Sun is the one getting freaked out and throwing you out without any preamble after the lights turn on.
Again, not shitting on anyone. I just think it's so funny. I legitimately cannot imagine Moon being that serious unless 1) a real intruder is at the pizzaplex, not some snotty kid; 2) Vanny tells him to; 3) something actually dangerous is happening and he's not high on whatever virus is going around.

Haunting
Will Byers + Strangers by Ethel Cain
@bylerween2023 | Day 1: Ghosts & Hauntings
unfortunately, it's not looking like my fic for bylerween will be done in time to share today, so I'm sharing the graphic that would have gone with it! strangers is one of my favorite songs, it's very haunting and very will coded, and I felt that it fit for the theme lol. the larger fic idea is that will did die in the upside down, and when mike goes to visit the now abandoned byers house, he sees will's ghost. hoping I can finish it by the november 22nd deadline🫡

the transformers: electric metal zine is out now!! download it for FREE here!!! <3
HI ALL!!! back after a hot minute with my work for @transformers-electric-metal!!! it's SUCH a cool zine (it's tf ocs!! hello!!!) and i'm so glad i got to participate!! i did art And a fic for this zine, both about my old lady Bramble here, tho they aren't necessarily connected :3 just the same gorl!!
check out the fic here if not in the zine itself!! >:]c
(and u can see my buddy @woolydemon's epic spot art piece for the fic HERE!!!!!!!!!!)
anyhow, here we've got the full piece, an unshaded/glassless version (mostly to show off the rust rendering on catbot / show the center bramble without the glass!!), AND a bonus original concept version because. uh. i needed three images to make the post layout look better ok 😭
(special thanks to @dizzyst4rs for helping me so so much with the colors for the corner and top center bramble(s), as they hadn't been designed prior to this and he did bramble's og palette!! :D)
further ramblys contained under a cut thank u <3
SO!! versions of bramble to be specific, clockwise and then center:
earthspark (root mode), TFA thorn (pre-experiment), earthspark again (alt mode), botbots, TFA (when she's just 'the catbot'), TFA decepticon au, TFA (alt mode), TFA shattered glass, college au lily, college au bramble, and then good ol' regular TFA bramb in the center! just for anyone curious about cont or anything <3
experimentation has given bramble a pretty shaky mental state, with a lot of struggle trying to figure out what parts of her are really her and whatnot. so i thought expounding upon that by Also including how many different forms of her there are across the TF universe would be fun!! and an excuse to draw all of the TF brambles at once >:3
and also. i swear to god the lights were blue yellow and pink the whole time i worked on this. my horror after hours of shading to realize that my pinks had become purples....... unspeakable.
i have never put this much rendering juice into a piece before ever in my life. please enjoy Pretty Colors and how i painstakingly blended the shading layers together with just a pencil brush at low opacity like a clown

a lot of people seem to use Entry #61 as 'proof' for the crux of the "Brian didn't care about Tim, he was Taking Advantage of Tim's conditions and Forcing him to work as part of totheark" thing, but honestly when you think about it there's no possible way Brian could have possibly orchestrated that series of events, like you almost have to interpret that as a baffling group of coincidences

New/Updated ‘Warrior’ Cover Art - Chapter 4: Family
At long last! This latest retroactive chapter cover art has taken me longer than I anticipated, mostly due to a persistent injury/ailment I’ve been grappling with over the past month since we posted the final chapter. (Though I did share an in-progress preview pic a little while back.) Mild expectation spoilers for that chapter ahead!
Technically, Chapter 4 was the second time I ever posted cover art alongside a chapter of ‘warrior’, though making the cover art chapter-specific didn’t come until later. At the time, I figured I’d make a new ‘warrior’ cover every few chapters for the fic writ large. That changed around Ch 6, and it’s been a neat process to go back and fill in the gaps, or to focus in on the actual chapter contents in a more zoomed-in way.
For comparison, here’s the original cover art posted with the chapter:
With the new/updated/chapter-specific cover art, I wanted to narrow in on what ended up being one of the most memorable/thematic scenes in that particular section of the story: the holocall with Han and Chewie in Leia’s chambers. (A scene that, perhaps interestingly, wasn’t in the original early 2/3 draft of the fic, but was instead added in because I NEEDED it to exist so bad before it felt like the story could proceed to its conclusion.
Visually, Din is reduced to being seen through a screen -- much like he is in the chapter, when Luke spies in on him and Grogu by way of security footage, hearts in his eyes and utterly uncaring of the fact that Din wouldn’t appreciate the invasion of privacy. A Mandalorian conceptualized as tamed in some base sense -- but also, somehow, taming.
I honestly fucking love how the picture of the twins turned out. Both originals are drawn by Phil Noto, and holy fuck can that man draw these two in a way that just. SPEAKS TO ME. (Here are both originals.) In particular, it feels wonderful to be able to ‘see’ Leia from this universe; I’m so wildly grateful at the fantastic base art to work from.
Thanks to @universeinorbit for their continued incredible beta skills (including ART beta skills, incredible job recolouring/resketching Leia’s clothes so that she’s consistent with how she’s dressed in the chapter), and to @lovey-dovey-and-sad for her great feedback during the cover art creation process. Big thanks also to all readers, commenters, and supporters of the story -- it truly means the world!

i also think it's kind of funny that watcher is pulling this move when over the past few years everyone i've talked to about watcher content has agreed that there has been a significant dip in quality of the actual substance of their work that seems to correlate pretty directly with their rising production value, ironically. it's been pretty lackluster lately. so, personally, on an Individual Consumer level, i don't know why i would Want to fund their production when over the past few years their videos have seemed worse and worse and significantly more lifeless and boring. from my pov, they aren't giving the audience an incentive to Want to pay for their shows at this point, which is what makes the severity of this jump so baffling
and on top of that the backlash has brought to light a lot of things about steven lim that would make me not exactly want to support a company run by him anyways. if i had known their ceo admitted to being friends w/ racists and homophobes, put his apology behind a paywall before deleting the entire podcast he admitted this on, and invited a homophobic pastor onto the channel before all this had happened i likely would've stopped (albeit passively) tuning in a while ago. literally the last thing i want to do is fund his ability to eat more gold leaf in a show whose gimmick stopped being interesting years ago but he now coincidentally folds into watcher at the exact time they put their content behind a steep paywall.... and it is steep. $6 for a channel with like 5 shows and extremely little variety in content is steep.

what one might think a fic writer spends their energy on
creating profound backstories for the main characters
spinning intricate plots with sixty-eight layers to truly encapsulate the complete experience of the characters living it
devicing flowery ways of conveying the characters’ internal turmoil
sneakily inserting clever easter eggs in case of unusually observant readers
constructing a linear plan for how to flesh out the story
working their way through the story, one scene at the time, slowly but surely and patiently approaching the climax
smirking, sighing happily and cracking their knuckles when writing a section that they know will cause one or more readers severe emotional distress
what a fic writer actually spends their energy on
“what’s the word for that thing a person does with their face when they pull this super fucking specific facial expression that exists in my head but not in my vocabulary?”
staring blankly at the wall whilst sipping on a beverage, trying to decide if a character wears regular fit jeans or regular fit jeans but on the slightly looser side of regular fit cos while it doesn’t really matter, it also matters so fucking much
repeatedly re-reading that one 150 word section they wrote three months ago that fucking slaps and makes them feel alive
“the inclusion or exclusion of ‘well’ in the beginning of this one dialogue line will make or break the fic as a whole, so let’s take our time deciding what direction to go in”
(it took twenty-one minutes to decide to exclude it and turns out it made no real difference)
smirking, sighing happily and cracking their knuckles when writing a section that they know will cause one or more readers severe emotional distress

Con is over, went very well! People liked the bookmarks and the shiny spyro stickers Very Much, and the outer wilds print did pretty good too
But the highlight was definitely the wolfwood cosplayer that bought my wolfwood cat sticker
