Sonic And Angry Birds Are Crossing Over In Multiple Games

Sonic And Angry Birds Are Crossing Over In Multiple Games
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 2023, Sega Sammy Holdings acquired Rovio, subsequently making the famed Angry Birds developer a subsidiary of Sega Europe. While Sega’s Japanese social media account shared a photo of a Red statue standing alongside Sega’s other mascots (see below), we haven’t seen the acquisition impact the games to this point. That changed today, as Sega and Rovio announced a multi-game crossover event between Sonic and Angry Birds on mobile devices.
The crossover event even comes with its own storyline, which includes a plot to steal the Angry Birds’ eggs that accidentally creates a portal between the world of Angry Birds and Sonic’s world. Sonic, Red, and their friend groups must work together across five mobile titles to stop Dr. Eggman. The event will include new playable characters, cross-brand collectibles, and exclusive rewards.
In Sonic Forces, Sonic and Red team up to collect rings and power-ups to score points and defeat Dr. Eggman. If you collect character cards, you can unlock Red and Chuck as playable characters. Red and Chuck also join the other active Sonic mobile game, Sonic Dash, where they are playable characters that can join your roster through both free and premium methods. Sonic Dash is also adding Angry Birds-themed collectibles.
On the Angry Birds front, Angry Birds 2 is adding Sonic Friends Hats that you can equip to your Angry Birds to grant power boosts. Angry Birds 2 players can also play through a “You’re Too Slow” adventure that is only available to birds wearing the correct hats. Hats are acquired through the in-game Tower of Fortune. In Angry Birds Dream Blast, players can enjoy Sonic’s Flash Race event, which adds 10 saga levels to race through with “dreamy” rewards. Finally, Angry Birds Friends receives 30 Sonic-themed levels based on locales and characters from the Sonic franchise.
[embedded content]
The Sonic x Angry Birds multi-game crossover event runs from today, March 14, to March 21. All five of the games – Sonic Forces, Sonic Dash, Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Dream Blast, and Angry Birds Friends – are available for iOS and Android through the App Store and Google Play, respectively.

Team Extension vs. Dedicated Development Team
It's awe-inspiring to think about how technology has altered the way we live. Software has become the core of almost every successful company out there. It's like having an all-purpose tool that boosts the productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction of your customers all at once. Who wouldn't want to have that? According to Gartner, worldwide spending for IT and development will be $4.6 trillion, which is an increase of 5.5 percent from last year. In addition, 91% of companies have invested in something that is digitally transformed. Therefore, the market is becoming ever more crowded with software applications. Businesses are forced to develop better applications within shorter time frames because if you don't join the party, then you'll get out of the game. Visit us:

New data from the agency's Jovian orbiter sheds light on the fierce winds and cyclones of the gas giant's northern reaches and volcanic action on its fiery moon. NASA's Juno mission has gathered new findings after peering below Jupiter's cloud-covered atmosphere and the surface of its fiery moon, Io. Not only has the data helped develop a new model to better understand the fast-moving jet stream that encircles Jupiter's cyclone-festooned north pole, it's also revealed for the first time the subsurface temperature profile of Io, providing insights into the moon's inner structure and volcanic activity. Team members presented the findings during a news briefing in Vienna on Tuesday, April 29, at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly.

#projectLUMENasks : For every single one of the questions we have answered so far!
》F.A.Q.《
What is this?
Project LUMEN is an effort to bring the Life Series to life in a brand new way, in videogame form! A RPG of sorts with battle mechanics, interaction with npcs, our own unique spin in Watcher Lore, changing art styles and multiple endings with a bunch of mechanics we need to keep secret for now but we know you all will enjoy, at least we hope so.
Cool, how can I contribute?
We want LUMEN to be a game by the community for the community, a tribute to all the wonderful artists, writers and creatives of all kinds. And it is a HUGE project, as such, all help is appreciated. We plan to open applications from time to time to recruit people as passionate as us into our little team. But everyone can lend a hand if they so desire, all ideas, all likes, all reblogs, all comments, all art, is truly, genuinely appreciated. Project LUMEN is completely non-profit, a passion project turned group effort that we are willing to pour our heart into, and we want to be as transparent as possible with it.
How will development of the game itself go?
As for specifications, Kori is the one in charge of the coding department, we are going to use Unity and C# to program everything, Arto will manage music and Pinkish will be in charge of the Martyn and Ren section. But once we review our first batch of applications, we will contact our chosen ones with more details, either for character sprites, script or any other miscellaneous things. We will all be working together as a team, each contributing as much as they so desire.
We will then take to developing our early alpha build including our very first couple of chapters, and release it for playtesting, then we will take all the feedback and make the pertinent changes. We will improve the game and continue developing until we have an almost finished beta build that we will then publish for testing. Take all the criticism again to finally reveal our finished product. Releasing first on itch io and then hopefully ported into Newgrounds for mobile compatibility.
Is there a release date?
As of now, we'd rather not promise anything. But we are actively working on development, and we hope to, at the very least, have a playable alpha demo at the end of this year.

got a question I was hoping you could answer!
why do all apps have to go through an app store? why doesn't anywhere have their app downloadable from the internet or something?
was wondering this because lots of issues with apps seem to stem from having to comply with app store guidelines and whatnot. So why not avoid that problem and make the app available off the appstore? And if part of it is because they're easier to find in the appstore, why not do both? why not also offer the download on a website or something?
there's gotta be some reason why there's afaik no one who offers a download for their app without the appstore right?
There are absolutely other ways to get apps, and the one that springs immediately to mind is the F-Droid App Repository.
Sideloading is the process of loading an app that doesn't come from your phone's OS-approved app store. It's really easy on Android (basically just a couple of clicks) but requires jailbreaking on an iphone.
The reason more USERS don't sideload apps is risk: app stores put apps through at least nominal security checks to ensure that they aren't hosting malware. If you get an app from the app store that is malware, you can report it and it will get taken down, but nobody is forcing some random developer who developed his own app to remove it from his site if it installs malware on your phone unless you get law enforcement involved.
The reason more developers don't go outside of the app store or don't WANT to go outside of the app store is money. The number of users who are going to sideload apps is *tiny* compared to the number of users who will go through the app store; that makes a HUGE difference in terms of income, so most developers try to keep it app-store friendly. Like, if tumblr were to say "fuck the app store" and just release their own app that you could download from the sidebar a few things would happen:
Downloads would drop to a fraction of their prior numbers instantly
iOS users would largely be locked out of using tumblr unless they fuck with their phones in a way that violates Apple's TOS and could get them booted out of their iOS ecosystem if they piss off the wrong people.
Ad revenue would collapse because not a lot of advertisers want to work with companies that are app-store unfriendly
They'd be kicked off of the main app marketplaces
So most people who develop apps don't want to put the time and effort and money into developing an app that people might not pay for that then also can't carry ads.
Which leads into another issue: the kind of people who generally make and use sideloaded app aren't the kind of people who generally like profit-driven models. Indie apps are often slow to update and have minimal support because you're usually dealing with a tiny team of creators with a userbase of people who can almost certainly name ten flavors of Linux and are thus expected to troubleshoot and solve their own problems.
If this is the kind of thing you want to try, have at it. I'd recommend sticking to apps from the F-Droid Repository linked up above and being judicious about what you install. If you're using apple and would have to jailbreak your phone to get a non-approved app on it, I'd recommend switching to another type of phone.
(For the record, you also aren't limited to android or ios as the operating system of your phone; there are linux-based OSs out there and weird mutations of android and such - I am not really a phone person so I can't tell you much about them, but they are out there!)

Hotfixing will be paused while we move to an Interim Cert Update! During this “Hotfix dark” phase, the team will continue to log your bug reports & feedback for continued fixes towards 1999 and Techrot Encore content.
One important note: during this downtime, the iOS team may continue to Hotfix to tackle performance improvements exclusive to the Mobile platform!
Also, Devstream 187 is being primed for you! Join us on April 25th at 2 p.m. ET for a ‘sillier’ look at all things Warframe development, PLUS get a sneak peek at designing a new Warframe Augment Mod! Tuning in from start to finish will net you 3 items from our ‘Cursed x Blessed Grab Bag’ Twitch Drop!
Like always, our next Cert Update includes further code fixes. Code describes changes made directly to the engine, which requires Certification from each Console platform to pass its checks, such as ensuring an Update doesn’t crash the machine itself.
We also need to ensure Cross Platform Play parity so all Tenno can continue to play together!
You can find further details on the “Code” and “Cert” processes here!
Curious about a few of the resolved issues from our ‘Known Issues’ list? You can expect to see the following issues resolved*:
Gyre's Conductive Sphere Augment applies an electricity bonus to enemy bullets as well.
Yareli’s with Evade subsumed can’t gain Evade duration on headshot kill whle riding Merulina.
Initial Combo doesn’t grow while Mesa or Jade’s Exalted Weapons are active.
Coda and normal Catabolyst primary fire always causing screen shake.
Coda Motorvore inherits IPS damage Mods from Exalted Melee Weapons that are using Melee Doughty.
Wirematrix Ephemera can cause stuttering on lower-spec machines
Cloaked appearances in settings doesn’t apply to Archwings or Railjacks when invisible.
First Archgun Mod in Archwing is ignored if player is below MR30 and has used all available Capacity on the Archgun.
Unveiled Rivens that were unveiled by completing the challenge will be hidden by "Hide Equipped" toggle in the Trading Menu if it hasn't been equipped on a weapon since unveiling.
This causes players to think their Rivens are not available to trade, when they are secretly considered "equipped" on the backend and therefore hidden by this toggle.
Falling out of the Concert in the Technocyte Coda Showdown means instant fail on death in subsequent runs.
As well, we’ll have some quality of life improvements coming with future Updates, such as:
Adding the ability to modify your Warframe loadout from the Archimedea menus.
* The bounty of issues on our Known Issues list is still a priority, but some aren’t in a state to confirm as 100% “fixed.” Additionally, we’ll continue to test the above fixes to ensure they are fully resolved on all platforms should any outlying issues arise.
Like always, we’ll be present in our usual spots! Whether we’re hunting bugs, gathering feedback, or talking directly with you, we’ll be here:
Prime Time, Warframe International and Devshorts!
Devstream 187 is primed for April 25th!
We’ll be at PAX East 2025, bringing along our Devstream 188 on May 10th at 3 p.m. ET! Tune in to hear more about our next big Update!
Thank you for your patience and understanding, Tenno. We’re looking forward to discussing even more Warframe with you at Devstream 187 and Devstream 188 shortly after!

Would it be possible to implement more options for the dashboard? For example, adjusting font sizes and font faces manually on the user end, not just via the themes available by default. I find a lot of people use <small> html tags and the text is too small for me to read, but could easily be fixed if I could bump up the font size for that. On that note, would it be possible to implement more html tags for text posts, like super/subscript, code text (in-line, not for the whole paragraph element), more colors and headings, etc.?
Thank you!
Answer: Hi, @acidcorrodes!
It’s a good question, but it is unlikely that we will be adding these kind of appearance options to the dashboard. That said, we will more than happily point you to some available third-party browser extensions to do the trick instead! For adjusting the font face and font size, for example, you might want to try out Palettes for Tumblr—or, if you’re comfortable writing your own CSS, maybe Stylus would give you the font freedom you’re yearning for.
On that note, would it be possible to implement more html tags for text posts, like super/subscript, code text (in-line, not for the whole paragraph element), more colors and headings, etc.?
It is a fact that there are several of us among Tumblr Staff who would love to see this as much as you. Sadly, this is the kind of thing that would take a full project team to properly implement across our web, Android, and iOS clients—and there are much more pressing issues for our development teams to address at the moment.
We hope this was enlightening! Please do keep the questions coming.
