Every single member of the Batfamily lies about their taste in music
Damian will claim that he only listens to classical music and that everything else is beneath him.
Damian will unironically listen to trashy Arab pop and the absolute worst Bollywood songs known to man (Dick introduced him to them and he hates the fact that sometimes he gets Sheila Ki Jawani stuck in his head during missions)
Tim will put on the most ear grating hyper pop you've ever heard and claim with full chest that these is the peak of humanities capabilities with music (Damian, Jason and Steph have all tried to kill him for this take) He will also play stuff like the living tombstones and sing it obnoxiously loud when he's working on the computer.
Tim however loves his 90s grunge and it's all that's playing in his headphones. (think nirvana, pearl Jam, Melvins, Alice in Chains etc) He has tracked down so many shirts and concert posters and watched every bit of content from the older shows.
Jason will claim he only listens to east coast rap, biggie, Nas, Jay etc and maybe some older metal. He will fight you on east vs west coast music, there will be weaponry involved.
Jason likes rap music... he unfortunately prefers west coast rap and has listened to no vaseline like 500 times. He will deny this till the day he dies...again. (Dick knows and threatens to tell Steph)
Steph will steal the aux and play Taylor Swifts greatest hits until one of the Boys threatens mutiny. Every single one of the bats has had style stuck in their heads during a stakeout at least twice. She will claim that the only rap song she can tolerate in Eminem and the 7/11 is Beyoncés best song.
Steph is an underground fan, think the dude selling mixtapes on the subway type shit. She also unlike Jason genuinely loves East Coast Rap music more than anything and knows every single wu-tang clan song by heart, same with Biggie. Not only does she love the music she also spends any free time binging those "history of rap and its consequences" videos and has been a firm believer that P.Diddy had a hand in a lot of the Death row records well...deaths.
Cass, well everyone thinks Cass has really good taste bc its Cass and she has zero flaws (don't @ me) she never takes the aux and will usually listen to her music while she's chilling or doing stretches. None of them have heard or seen a single one of her playlists except Duke.
its all 2010s top 40s pop music and like the trashy kind too, Beauty and the Beat, Kesha, Katy Perry. It's her turning of her brain time and she will be straight vibing to Rude! by magic or Boom Clap or Shower. she has shown this to Duke, smirked and told him that even if he tried to tell anyone they wouldn't believe him.
Duke is the only one who doesn't... lie. He just hides a few things. Lies of omission don't count as lies when the bats will lie to you about what they had for breakfast, while they are visibly eating breakfast. Duke says he listens to everything and he does. Literally everything. His patrol Jam is offensive bc it with start with Norwegian death metal and immediately switches to "like a G6" followed by kendrick Lamar and then descendants Disney channel movie music.
Bruce... Bruce is just weird, everyone asks him and gets a different answer. Bc he doesn't... like music. Like at all. It's all noise, his mother played instruments so he learned like 14 and he hates how they all sound. He just like vague batwings fluttering in dead silence.
Dick Grayson will obnoxiously play top 40 and radio music religiously around the bats. He claims it's the best music for rhythmic acrobatics and trapeze work and that true! Jason hates this kind of music the most, it's formulaic and holds no substance and drives him insane.
But Dick only listens to that music when he's moving, flipping doing high energy stuff. When he just wants to chill? This man has the most depressing music taste you've ever seen. You know that sad song from ur favorite artist that you can't listen to without crying. Yeah that's his bread and butter. Every single song is just flat out tear inducing, some of these bands have like 100 listeners and he is one of them and it's just their saddest song that reads like suicide note. The titans have conducted an intervention bc its just... concerning. He just thinks it's neat!

Left on the Sidelines (Chapter 1)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: You walked in the arena, filled with excitement to be watching your boyfriend play a match after sooo many years. The promise of him getting to spend time with you after the match kept you on your feet. Until something flipped in Rin.
Tags: rin itoshi x gn!reader, takes setting in the blue lock VS u20 match, angst, kinda ooc rin i think, inspired by an au i saw on tiktok, cold rin
next chapter
Tumblr media
The anticipation was almost unbearable. You had waited weeks, no, months for this.
Ever since Rin was recruited into the Blue Lock program, your relationship had been a series of stolen moments—a few texts here, a hurried call there.
He’d always been laser-focused, but the promise he made about spending time with you after the U-20 match was what kept you going.
The night before the match, his voice had softened in rare reassurance over the phone:
“I’ll make it up to you. Just wait for me after the game.”
Those words stayed with you, adding an extra bounce to your steps as you arrived at the stadium. You made sure to secure a seat close to the field.
The crowd buzzed with energy, a sea of people clad in team colors, waving banners and shouting cheers. The intensity was palpable, but your eyes were only searching for one person.
As the players began to emerge, the applause grew thunderous. Finally, you saw him—the unmistakable figure of Rin Itoshi walking out with his team.
His teal eyes scanned the crowd, and the moment his gaze landed on you, his expression softened just slightly. He raised a hand, a subtle wave accompanied by a small, almost imperceptible smile.
Your heart swelled. It felt like time rewound itself to when you first fell for him—those giddy butterflies fluttering uncontrollably in your chest.
No matter how tough his demeanor, Rin had always had that quiet way of showing you he cared.
The first half of the game was mesmerizing. Rin was a force of nature, orchestrating plays with precision and determination. While the rest of the team moved with frenzied energy, he was a pillar of calm, calculating each step.
But what truly warmed your heart was how his eyes occasionally flickered toward you in the stands. In those fleeting moments, you felt like his anchor, grounding him amidst the chaos of the game.
By the second half, the match transformed into a battlefield. Rin’s demeanor changed—his intensity radiated off him in waves, and the once-composed boy became almost ruthless.
His ability to lead his team while shutting down the opponents was astounding, but the fierceness in his movements unsettled you slightly. Still, as the whistle blew, signaling the end of the game and Blue Lock’s victory, pride swelled within you.
You couldn’t wait to tell him how amazing he’d been.
---
You made your way to the backstage area designated for players' guests, weaving through the lingering crowd. Finding a spot near the entrance, you stood with your phone clutched tightly in your hands.
He’ll be here soon.
A few minutes passed. Then twenty. Thirty.
Your excitement began to dwindle, replaced by a creeping sense of unease. You pulled out your phone and shot him a message:
You: “Great game! I’m waiting backstage. Can’t wait to see you! <3”
No response.
Ten more minutes. You tried again.
You: “Rin, everything okay? I’m still here.”
Still nothing.
You shifted on your feet, anxiety brewing in your chest. The other guests slowly began to disperse, but you stayed rooted in place, glancing at the entrance every few seconds.
As the area grew quieter, you noticed a group of men lingering nearby. Their loud laughter and lingering stares sent a chill down your spine.
“Hey, are you waiting for someone?” one of them called out, stepping closer.
You stiffened, pretending not to hear him, but your silence only emboldened them.
“Don’t be shy, sweetheart,” another sneered, closing the distance.
“I’m fine,” you said firmly, though your trembling voice betrayed your fear.
“Come on, no need to be like that,” the first man insisted, his tone mockingly sweet.
Panic clawed at your throat. Your mind screamed for Rin, but the cold reality that he wasn’t there sank in like a stone. You tried to stall, desperately hoping someone—anyone—would notice what was happening.
“Back off!” a voice suddenly barked, cutting through the tension.
"Rin?" You mumbled. A part of you was hoping it was Rin. You looked up only to have disappointment rush over you.
A passerby had noticed the commotion and intervened, causing the group to scatter. Relief flooded through you, but it was short-lived. As much as you were grateful for the stranger’s help, all you could think was: Why wasn’t it Rin?
The adrenaline faded, leaving you emotionally drained as you returned to the waiting area. The once-busy stadium was now almost empty, the excitement of the match replaced by eerie silence.
Your heart clenched painfully as you glanced at your phone—no missed calls, no texts. You had clung to his promise, but now, all you felt was hurt and anger.
Finally, you left. By the time you got home, the weight of everything crashed down, and tears spilled freely. How could Rin have left you like that, after all his assurances?
---
The next day, Rin sent a brief text:
Rin: “Sorry. Got caught up. I’ll explain later.”
You stared at the message, the hurt bubbling to the surface. Taking a deep breath, you replied, trying to mask your anger:
You: “Is everything okay? I waited so long for you yesterday…”
No response came. Hours passed, and your phone screen remained blank, the weight of silence heavy in your chest. Still, you convinced yourself he was tired from the game or busy celebrating with his team.
Rin wasn’t always expressive, but he wouldn’t ignore you intentionally... right?
Over the next few days, your messages to Rin became more frequent, a desperate attempt to bridge the growing distance.
You: “Hey, how’s training? I hope you’re not pushing yourself too hard!”
Rin: “I’m fine. Just busy.”
You: “Can we call tonight? I miss you.”
Rin: “Can’t. Long day tomorrow.”
Each reply felt colder, more detached than the last. It was as if he was replying out of obligation, his once thoughtful responses reduced to bare-bones excuses.
You told yourself he was just stressed, that this phase would pass. Yet, every time you initiated contact, you were met with the same wall of indifference.
Determined to salvage what you had, you decided to surprise him. You knew Rin rarely had time off, but you figured bringing him his favorite snacks or even spending a few moments together might make a difference.
You: “I’m heading near your training facility tomorrow. Should I drop by and bring you something?”
His reply came after an hour:
Rin: “Don’t. I won’t be able to meet you.”
You swallowed back the lump forming in your throat.
You: “Oh… okayyyy. Maybe another time?”
No response.
Even when you were apart, you used to find ways to support him. You’d send messages of encouragement, tell him how proud you were, remind him that you were rooting for him every step of the way. But now, it felt like you were shouting into the void.
You: “I know things are hectic right now, but I’m always here for you. Just… don’t forget that, okay?”
When he finally replied, his words stung like ice:
Rin: “You don’t have to check up on me all the time. I’m fine.”
The indifference in his tone hit you like a slap. Tears welled in your eyes, but you forced yourself to type back.
You: “I’m just worried about you, Rin. That’s all.”
His next message made your chest ache:
Rin: “There’s no need. Focus on yourself.”
The following weekend, you tried one last time to bridge the gap. After deliberating for hours, you sent him a long message.
You: “Rin, I know you’re under a lot of pressure, and I don’t want to get in the way of your goals. But it’s hard not hearing from you, not knowing how you’re feeling. I miss the way we used to be. I know I’ve been texting a lot… but it’s just because I care about you so much. I wish we could talk like we used to.”
Minutes turned into hours with no reply. That night, your phone finally buzzed.
Rin: “I can’t give you the attention you want right now. You’re better off focusing on other things.”
His words were like a dagger to your heart.

Quicksand - ALTERNATIVE
If you haven't read Quicksand up to chapter 5 you're going to be terribly confused.
Fem Reader x Sir Crocodile
CW: Language, violence, blood, moral ambiguity, murder, sexual themes and situations, yandere, angst with a happy ending, a referenced instance of physical abuse. 18+ only
ADDITIONAL CW: Dub-con, kidnapping, imprisonment
The alternative version picks up at Chapter 6- there's a lot of overlap for the first few chapters as the story slowly peels away from the original. The alternative chapters explore Sir Crocodile's yandere tendencies in a setting where the reader rejects him (vs the original where she never ran).
You can read it as it posts to Tumblr, or sate your curiosity on AO3 // Wattpad immediately.

Chapter 13: Punishment
“I believe I was quite clear, earlier.” His voice has an edge to it, one you hadn’t really heard before now.
You were still, so still that you were barely breathing. You didn’t even dare to twitch your fingers as the cold, heavy, polished gold hook moved along the line of your jaw. You knew how sharp it was, how easily it could rip into you, how deftly he could control it.
“You were not to go anywhere on your own.” There’s a warm hand on your shoulder as the hook leaves your field of vision. His voice is even again, the edge brought back under control.
“… I made it to the gate.” You admit, trying to keep your voice steady. The hand on your shoulder tightens a little, but not enough to hurt you. “I could’ve slipped right through the bars,” you say, continuing on even though you had no idea how he would take your confession, but it seemed a better idea than simply offering an apology.
His hand slides off your shoulder and along your collarbone, palm against the middle of your chest, fingers and thumb curling loosely around your neck.
“What stopped you?” There’s a small shiver in his voice. Rage, fear, hope – you’re not sure what’s behind it.
“M-my first thought was that… I didn’t want to hurt you again.” You admit quietly. You can feel tears welling up in you, either from fear or guilt, you can’t say.
“Secondly?” He prompts, his voice rolling over your ear as he’s bent low.
“You’re a Warlord. There’s no place in the Grandline I could go.” You say honestly.
“I continue to appreciate your honesty, desert flower.” Crocodile says as his hands slides up your neck and his fingers hold your jaw. “It has certainly lessened the severity of your punishment.”
“Y-you said I could struggle,” you nearly whine the words, as his hook tears into the pajamas you’re wearing. The cold, smooth metal against your skin as the hook slowly cuts the fabric away has you shivering.
His hand holds you in place, and his hot breath slips by your ear as he speaks almost apologetically. “I never said I wouldn’t punish you for it, my love.”
“P-Please, I won’t – I won’t run!” Panic rises in you as his hook tears your pajamas, fluttering the top a little before it settles back against your skin. “S-Suwani, p-please.”
“Calm down, you’ll survive it, I promise.” His voice assures you, rumbling against your shivering body.
He releases his hold on you and jerks the torn nightgown off you. The swift and sudden movements unbalance you, and you fall to the floor. You start to crawl away, but will yourself to stay in place.
“Trying so hard to stay true to your words.” He muses, tossing the nightgown aside. “Crawling is hardly running, but I appreciate the intent.” There’s a moment of silence, and you can feel his eyes on you. “Remove them.” He says, referring to the only item left on you, “And get on the bed.”
“P-please, I -.”
“My dear, punishment isn’t something you get to control.” He says evenly. He’s set his hook aside and is rolling up his sleeves. “It is in your best interest to do as instructed.”
You were shivering, but not from the temperature, the fire had been going strong, maybe even stronger now than before you had left the room. Getting to your feet on trembling legs you shed your underwear, walking over to the bed.
You stop at the edge of it. “How, um… do you,” you lick your lips and try to swallow. “Want me?”
“Mm, in an innumerable number of ways,” he says smoothly. “But for now, I’m sure you can sort it out, given the situation.”
You feel yourself flush from your face halfway down your chest. Climbing onto the bed, you stay at the edge, and stay on your hands and knees. Your skin prickles against the air around you, like every part of you is reaching out trying to find some manner of escape. Your stomach knots, and your heart thumps so loudly in your ears you’re not sure you could hear anything else.
But his voice cuts through it all.
“Anticipation seems worse for you than anything I intend to do.” He says as his fingers caress the back of your leg, palm cupping the curve of your ass. “How many doors did you pass though?”
“Haa… ahm… th-three?”
“Focus, love. Not that you found, that you passed through.” He repeats as his prosthetic moves up your other thigh.
Out of the bedroom, into the elevator, out of it, and out the front door. Then all the same again.
“E-eight.” You answer. Your arms are shaking and you’re trying to draw in air like there’s none around.
“Mm. Be sure to count, my love.” He commands, and before you can ask what it is he wants you to count his hand cuts through the air and cracks across your ass.
You gasp in surprise and yelp in pain as your body shudders. The sharp sting fades blissfully quick, but a lingering feeling in your core already has you nervous. Grabbing onto the cover to steady yourself you force a deep breath so you can speak.
“Wuh-one!”
“Good girl.” His hand whips through the air, and the cutting sound of the air before the strike almost has you in tears. The sharp sting licks across your ass in a different spot. You flinch and yelp, and struggle against the strange knot that keeps building.
“Two.” You gasp.
Tender fingers nearly tickle your skin for a moment before another strike cuts through the air.
You know it’s coming, and how it’ll feel, but you can’t control your voice. The sound clings to your throat, as you grit your teeth against the pain that is becoming something different, and it’s less of a yelp and more of a grunt.
“Tha… three.” You manage to force the word out, nerves tightening your throat. The sting is too brief, and the knot that’s building is pleasurable. Too pleasurable. You shouldn’t be enjoying a punishment, but you’ve never experienced anything like this before. “S-Suwani, it’s-.”
The fourth strike lands and the sound ripped from your throat is unmistakably drenched in pleasure. Tears run down your cheeks, and manage to count through the choked sobs. Embarrassment, fear, a pleasure you can’t control, it was all overwhelming.
“Four,” you whimper the word.
“Delighted by my touch to this degree.” He muses, and soft whimpering gasps escape you as his fingers slide gently over the hot red skin of your trembling ass. “Be careful not to cum, desert flower, or I may have to decide on a different punishment.”
“Please…” Your voice is barely above a whisper as you grip the sheets.
His hand cuts through the air again and the pain is barely a thought as pleasure pushes into your shivering body. Your count tumbles from your lips shrouded in the pleasure shivering through your body. The sixth strike almost pushes you forward into the bed. The forced shift of your hips makes your realize how wet you are, and you can feel it leaking past your lips.
“Six, six!” You barely croak the word at first before managing to yell it.
“You’re doing so well.” The praise slides over you and your toes flex as you try to shake the pleasurable feeling of his words.
“D-Don’t, Ahhh-MNGHnng-haa…” The crack across your skin carries only the smallest hint of pain as the pleasure sinks into you. “Seven – praise me, don’t praise me, please.” You whimper. Your shaking arms buckle a little and you’re barely holding yourself up on your elbows.
Both of his hands grab your face, squeezing and kneading into the soft, tender, stinging flesh and sending ripples of conflicting sensations through your body. Your arms give out the rest of the way and you’re clawing at the bed and gasping a frantic mix of begging and shaky moans.
He pulls your hips back to his, the stiff bulge straining against his pants pushing into your dripping cunt. He ruts against you, driving the point home before he leans down.
“Your earlier honesty grants you the right to choose, little desert flower,” he says, his voice heavy and husky in your ear. “Shall I relieve this ache for you?” His hips shift up a little after his question, pressing against your asshole. “Or shall I simply relieve myself?”
Panic wells up in you. “Ache! Ache, p-please re-relieve t-the ache!” You shift your hips and push back against him. “Please, please, you’d r-rip me in half.”
His thumb presses against your entrance as he hums in amusement, teasing you without pushing in. “Without prep, perhaps. But since you asked so sweetly, I will end your punishment kindly.”
You feel his thick hard push rub against your slit, covering himself in your leaking pleasure for a moment before he pushes in, in a single, slow thrust. The pressure, relief, pleasure, and pain are overlapping, and you can barely do anything but gasp and twitch against the steady intrusion that stretches you so completely.
It’s not just the relief of the ache that had been building between your thighs. There was another relief, a powerful feeling to have him inside you again. Touching you. With you. He hadn’t provided much of a choice, there was no denying that your options had been limited, but the relief was still there.
The slow steady motion was barely enough, and you’re gasping into the covers.
“P-please… fa-faster.” Your face is red, you had wanted to keep your distance. You hadn’t wanted his touches because you knew how you’d react. You didn’t want his kindness or to hear his words, and now you’re face down, ass up, begging him to go faster.
“As you command,” he purrs. One hand holds your hip as the other slides down your back, his pace quickening as his hips snap into you, thrusting deeper, hitting spots he had learned from your first night together.
Your breathless pants become deeper moaning grunt as pleasure pushes deeper and deeper into you. Your mind is hazy, and your need is overtaking you as the orgasm tightens.
“Please, please,” you beg, but you’re not even sure what you’re begging for.
“Don’t worry, little desert flower, I will fill you up sweetly.” He assures you.
“N-no, w-wait!” The implication of his words brings you out of your pleasurable haze.
“Hm? You’re mine, (Y/N). It only makes sense for me to fill you up when you beg so sweetly.” His hand on your back pushes you into the mattress a little as he begins to thrust into you so forcefully that it’s pushing the air from you.
Your words are shattered by the air pushed out of, and you can barely manage the focus to draw in air as the pleasure overwhelms your panic.
“Cum for me, my love. Cry for me to fill you up.” He urges, lifting your exhausted body up from the bed. One arm around your chest and his prosthetic hand holds you against him as his warm fingers tease your clit. “Shudder around me in need and desire, my sweet.”
“No… please… Suwani,” you whine as the pleasure continues to build. You can’t stop the orgasm building inside of you, and a part of you doesn’t want to. “I’m g-going to-!” Your body tenses as much as it can, your toes curling as you shudder against him.
You can feel him growl more than you hear it, his pace quickening as he continues to tease your clit, pulling more pleasure from you. The long orgasm doesn’t settle, and the second wave hits you as you feel Crocodile’s grip on you tighten, the last few broken ruts pushing pleasure into you as he fills you up.
Tears slip down your cheeks as he pulls out of you, the evidence of his pleasure slipping down your thighs as he keeps your back tight against his chest. You can feel his heart pounding in his chest, his prosthetic holding you in place as his right-hand rubs circles just under your navel.
“Rest, my love. We’ll talk more later.”

The abomasnow, desperate to protect their little ones, and Alec, who promised to help them, gave everything they got to hold back the vicious alpha Garchomp. Alec, as he was pulling the sled with the two injured Snover, couldn't help but look back to see the dragon titan overpowering the two Pokemon at once, launching one back with a devastating dragon tail attack before slashing the other one ferociously, gaining the upper hand of two giant Pokemon with ease. This was the true power of a dragon type.
Alec swore he felt his heart stop when its glowing blood-red eyes met his. The garchomp's roar shook the ground, and it took one step, then two. Before long, it is approaching at full speed at the group intending to kill and raising its claw for a slash attack.
Suddenly, a call of an unknown Pokemon caught the Alpha's attention. A green blur dashed past the team, picking up the wing and snow. A swift dragon claw hit Garchomp in the face. The Garchomp shook off the damage the dragon-type attack stung, but it wasn't enough. It only made it angrier; letting out another earth-shattering roar before ending it in a growl, it shook its whole body, its eyes on its attacker as if trying to tell it something. Seeing Flygon as a worthy opponent as another dragon type challenged her. Flygon claws scratching against the ground. The disturbed snow settled, revealing the Pokemon and the trainer on her back. The Mirage Pokemon's tail whipped back and forth, her wings beating as she roared back, accepting the Alpha's challenge. Zoey hopped off her partner's back, ready for battle.
Zoey had rushed in at the nick of time. When she returned for her Excursion, she noticed that Cyllene was gone. When she heard that, she went to investigate a nearby distortion. Zoey put her goggles on and hopped back on the back of her dragon Pokemon.
All she saw was the Garchomp coming after them; she didn't think; her body reacted. And her Flygon was on the same page, dive-bombing into the distorted area, readying an attack. Thanks to her goggles, the wind whipping around in the time distortion did not bother her.
This Pokemon was foreign to Alec; its goggle-looking eyes and horn-like antennae mesmerized him. And the owner of cf the Flygon piqued interest as well. Controlling Pokemon was rare enough; however, controlling a dragon type known for their wildness, stubbornness, and power was. Taming one was almost unheard of, much less training one.
"Flygon! Dragon claw!" The red-haired trainer called out her yellow scarf, fluttering in the wind as her partner took off kicking up the snow. She was so fast she dodged the sharp claws of the alpha easily for unleashing another devastating attack. The mysterious trainer locked eyes with Alec for the first time. "GET OUT OF HERE! GO!" Zoey screamed; Flygon flew in directly to help distract the Garchomp and hopefully hold it back long enough for the team to get to safety. She had this handled. Alec grits his teeth. He wanted to help, too, but how? Cyllene grabbed his arm, stopping him from moving any further. " It's too dangerous! We need to get cover!" Alec just nodded as they sneaked away to the corner of the distortion, hiding behind a rock, tending to the sick snover as much as they could till they could get help from professionals.
To the large Garchomp, Flygon was merely a fly, but she had the upper hand. She was fast, and she hit hard. With her wings, she nimbly zipped, dodging Garchomp's tail, claws, and fangs. Her Rocktomb attack didn't leave a scratch on the Garchomp's rough skin, and she started feeling the recoil damage from her constant clawing. So she kept at a distance, flying in circles around the alpha, hitting it with a barrage of flamethrowers. However, Flygon got too close, and like a little pest, she got swatted with its powerful tail, its body getting dragged into the snowy ground, hitting a tree just behind her trainer. "Flygon!" Zoey yelled, rushing over to her partner as she rummaged through her bag for something to heal her best friend.
The Alpha was focused on the Pokemon it challenged. However, it realized it was getting help from the human, especially after he saw the red-haired human quickly give the Flygon something to heal her. Letting out a growl, the Garchomp set its sights on the red-haired human. Flygon's eyes widened as the Garchomp rushed at Zoey, preparing a slash attack. Flygon weakly cried out, catching her attention ."What's wrong bud?" Zoey responded calmly. With her snout, flygon pointed behind her. When Zoey looked behind her, her body acted on impulse. Flygon, being her most precious friend and the one in the worst shape she, shielded her with her body.
Alec's eyes widen in surprise, watching Zoey, who is much weaker than Flygon, put her life on the line for her. His heart rushed with emotion, fear, admiration, and something else he couldn't quite recall, all swirling into one. He wanted to jump into the battle to help Zoey; it hurt that Alec couldn't; he had to help where he could. He wasn't fast enough or strong enough, nor did he have a beast under his control to fight with. All he could do was back and watch.
However, before the alpha could land a hit, the two Abomasnow back for a rematch and rushed to Zoey's side, landing a powerful ice punch with all its strength aiming directly for Garchomp's face.
One of the abomasnow was considerably weakened.  And in no condition to fight however his mate could, when Zoey's Flygon got better, she took to the skies directly toward the alpha while the weak abomasnow, who used up its last bit of strength on that ice punch, collapsed. The mate looked back, watching the red-haired human rush toward the fallen Pokemon with a bottle of homemade Pokemon medicine, its eyes locked with Zoey. The mate knew to trust this new human.
"Abomasnow!" Zoey yelled, getting the mate's attention. "Garchomp is weak to ice attacks. Use ice punch!" The Abomasnow stood there quiet for a moment before nodding. It understood her! The ice-type Pokemon let out a roar before running at the Garchomp, readying her fist for a barrage of punches.
Flygon and the mother abomasnow quickly overwhelmed Garchomp with the combination of ice punches, Dragon Claws, and flamethrowers. Garchomp's strength was finally beginning to dwindle.
The Garchomp had had enough, and it had one more attack up. It shielded the two Pokemon before using Dragon Dance with a burst of energy; it sent both Flygon and the mother flying, buying it just enough time.
Now, it was his turn.
Its mouth begins to glow in a blue light, getting hotter and hotter, steam coming from its maw. Zoey grits her teeth; she knows exactly what attack he will use, the dreaded Draco meteor… this was bad… The Dragon Tail attack damaged Flygon quite a lot, and there was no way Flygon would survive a Draco meteor. And there was no way the mother Abomasnow could fight on her own. But the two Pokemon trying to recover will not get to the alpha in time before it unleashes its great attack.
However, before it shot the devastating attack, its eyes widened in fear as a Ghostly flame hit it in the throat, causing a large explosion. That explosion caused by the flame greatly damaged the failed Draco meteor recoil. Garchomp was weak and severely outnumbered by this new Pokemon, who had not shown its face was significantly more powerful than itself. The Garchomp let out a wine as it ran with its tail tucked between its legs.
Not long after the Garchomp left, the Distortion dispersed the violent winds, slowly calming down. When the threat was finally gone, the two Abomasnow practically collapsed on the ground, catching their breath. Flygon was exhausted, but it didn't stop her usual cheery self, practically trotting over to her trainer with her tail wagging.
Alec has been sneaking glances throughout the fight, watching how Zoey commanded and even protected her Flygon. Zoey was a brave individual; even in the face of danger, standing up to an alpha, she was definitely deserving of the dragon-type Pokemon who seemed to care a lot about her. Enough to protect her with her life.
As Zoey rested, tending to her Flygon and the two parents and, luckily, other than being banged up from the battle, she had no major injuries. Cyllene yelled out for Zoey to meet them at the village so they could tend to the sick Snover. Zoey nodded.
As she watched them leave. She noticed something in the snow… she knew after the battle, Alec ran ahead as if he was looking for someone. His footprint in the snow, along with the footprints of a large unknown Pokemon, seem to fade as if disappearing Into thin air. Maybe it was the Pokemon that helped finally defeat the alpha… judging by that ghostly Flame and the way its tracks disappeared instantaneously, it must have been a ghost type… but what ghost type was it… whatever it was, it wasn't a Pokemon she had seen. Its pawprints looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't pinpoint what ghost type would have tracks like these.

PWA vs Native, Hybrid, SPA, MP: A Complete App Development Guide
In today's digital age, having a mobile app for your business is essential to stay ahead of the competition and cater to the growing needs of mobile users.  However, when it comes to an app development company, there are several options to consider; one of them is Nivida Web Solutions Private Limited. Among the various approaches available, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), Native apps, Hybrid apps, Single-Page Applications (SPAs), and Multi-Platform apps (MP) are the most popular choices.  Each of these options has its own strengths and weaknesses.  In this comprehensive app development guide, we will compare and contrast these different approaches to help you make an informed decision.
Tumblr media
Progressive Web Apps (PWAs):
PWAs are web applications that are designed to look and function like native mobile apps.  They are built using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and are accessible through a web browser.  PWAs are highly responsive, installable, and can work offline, making them an excellent choice for businesses looking to reach a wider audience across multiple platforms.  Additionally, PWAs can be easily updated without requiring users to download new versions.
Native Apps:
Native apps are developed for specific platforms like iOS or Android using platform-specific languages (Swift or Objective-C for iOS, Java or Kotlin for Android).  They offer the best performance, user experience, and access to device-specific features like camera, GPS, and push notifications.  However, developing native apps requires separate codebases for different platforms, resulting in higher development costs and longer development cycles.
Hybrid Apps:
Hybrid apps are a combination of web and native apps.  They are built using web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and are wrapped in a native shell that enables them to be distributed through app stores.  Hybrid apps provide a balance between cost-effectiveness and access to native features.  However, they may not deliver the same performance as native apps, and certain device-specific functionalities might be limited.
Single-Page Applications (SPAs):
SPAs are web applications that load a single HTML page and dynamically update the content as users interact with the app.  They offer a seamless user experience similar to native apps and can be accessed through web browsers.  SPAs are easier to develop and maintain compared to native apps, but they may not provide the same level of performance and access to device features.
Multi-Platform Apps (MP):
Multi-platform apps are developed using cross-platform frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin.  These frameworks allow developers to write code once and deploy it across multiple platforms, saving time and effort.  Multi-platform apps can achieve near-native performance and provide access to device features, making them a popular choice for businesses targeting multiple platforms.
When considering app development companies in India or Gujarat, it's essential to find a partner that understands your specific requirements and has expertise in the chosen development approach.  Android App development companies in India and Gujarat offer a wide range of services, including native app development, hybrid app development, and PWA development.  Similarly, Mobile App development companies in India and Gujarat can provide expertise in developing SPAs and MP apps.
Tumblr media
Before choosing an app development approach, consider factors such as budget, target audience, performance requirements, and time-to-market.  Each approach has its own pros and cons, and the decision should align with your business goals and objectives.  Consulting with a reputable app development company, Nivida Web Solutions Private Limited can help you navigate through these choices and make the right decision for your business.
In conclusion, the choice between PWAs, Native apps, Hybrid apps, SPAs, and MP apps depends on various factors such as performance, cost, development time, and target audience. Each approach has its own merits, and it's important to evaluate them based on your specific needs when selecting an app development company in India.

Key Challenges in Building Cross-Platform vs. Native iOS Apps
When developing mobile applications, one of the earliest and most significant decisions developers and businesses must make is whether to go with a cross-platform framework or build natively for iOS. Each approach comes with its unique set of challenges, and understanding these can help you make a more informed choice.
Many experienced iOS development companies analyze a project's specific needs—performance requirements, time-to-market, and scalability—before recommending a solution. While cross-platform apps are often touted for their efficiency, native apps still hold strong in areas like performance, UI/UX, and long-term maintenance.
1. Performance and Speed
Native iOS apps are built using Swift or Objective-C, giving developers full access to Apple’s APIs and hardware features. This direct integration typically results in faster and more responsive applications. On the other hand, cross-platform apps may encounter performance bottlenecks, especially when rendering animations or accessing device-specific capabilities.
Top iOS development companies in India often emphasize performance as a critical deciding factor, especially for apps requiring real-time features or heavy computation. In these cases, native development is generally the more reliable route.
2. UI/UX Consistency
Apple has specific design guidelines that native apps can follow closely to create seamless experiences across iPhones and iPads. Cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native, while versatile, often require custom workarounds to match the native feel, which can increase development time.
Leading iOS development companies in India are well-versed in tailoring user interfaces that align with Apple’s human interface guidelines, ensuring that apps not only look good but also behave intuitively.
3. Development Time and Cost
Cross-platform development offers the advantage of writing one codebase for both Android and iOS, which can reduce costs and speed up delivery. However, this comes with trade-offs, including limited access to some iOS-specific features and increased debugging complexity when issues arise on only one platform.
Many iOS development companies working with startups and SMEs may recommend cross-platform development for MVPs or applications with simple functionality, while reserving native development for apps that aim to scale or target premium user experiences.
4. Maintenance and Updates
Keeping apps updated with the latest iOS features or patches can be more straightforward when built natively. Cross-platform apps may lag behind due to dependencies on third-party libraries and community updates.
For long-term projects, top iOS development companies in India often highlight native development as a safer choice, especially when future-proofing and platform compatibility are critical.
5. Integration with Hardware and APIs
Native iOS apps have an edge when it comes to integrating with device-specific hardware such as Face ID, Apple Pay, ARKit, or health sensors. Cross-platform solutions may not always offer full support for these APIs, or require complex bridging code to function properly.
This is a common concern addressed by iOS development companies in India, particularly for clients who are building innovative or feature-rich apps in healthcare, fintech, or gaming.
Final Thoughts
Choosing between cross-platform and native iOS development is not a one-size-fits-all decision. It requires a clear understanding of business goals, user expectations, and technical constraints. Engaging with experienced iOS development companies can provide clarity on what approach will deliver the best balance of cost, performance, and user experience.
Whether you're launching a new product or refining an existing one, collaborating with the top iOS development companies in India ensures that the technical foundation of your app is solid, scalable, and tailored to succeed in a competitive market.

Comparing Native vs Cross-Platform Desktop App Development Services
Tumblr media
In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, businesses and developers alike are constantly looking for ways to optimize their software development processes. One of the most crucial decisions in desktop software development is whether to go for native or cross-platform app development. Both approaches offer unique advantages and challenges. In this blog, we will compare native vs cross-platform desktop app development services to help you make an informed decision based on your specific needs.
Native Desktop Application Development Services: The Tried and Tested Approach
Native desktop apps are designed specifically for a particular operating system, whether it be Windows, macOS, or Linux. These applications are built using the programming languages and tools that are native to the respective platform, such as C# for Windows, Swift for macOS, and C++ for Linux. The primary advantage of this approach is that native apps provide optimal performance, as they can fully leverage the hardware and software capabilities of the target system.
When working with a desktop software development company specializing in native applications, the resulting products are often more responsive, stable, and feature-rich. Native apps also offer better integration with the platform’s ecosystem, allowing for smoother interaction with system features like file management, networking, and security protocols.
However, the downside of native development is that it requires different codebases for each platform. This can be time-consuming and resource-intensive, particularly for businesses that want to target multiple operating systems. Additionally, updates and maintenance must be performed separately for each version, which can further complicate the development process.
Cross-Platform Desktop App Development Services: The Versatile Solution
On the other hand, cross-platform development allows businesses to build one app that works across multiple operating systems. Technologies like Electron, Flutter, and React Native enable developers to write a single codebase that runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux without having to build separate versions for each platform.
The most significant advantage of cross-platform desktop app development services is cost-effectiveness and faster time to market. By using a unified codebase, developers can streamline the process of developing, testing, and deploying applications. This is particularly beneficial for startups and small businesses looking to quickly expand their user base across various platforms without the overhead of maintaining multiple codebases.
However, while cross-platform apps are cost-effective and efficient, they may not deliver the same level of performance as their native counterparts. Although significant advancements in cross-platform technologies have made them more efficient, there can still be compromises when it comes to the responsiveness and feature richness of the application.
Which is Right for You?
When choosing between native and cross-platform desktop app development services, the decision ultimately depends on your business requirements. If you need an app with top-notch performance and platform-specific functionality, working with a desktop app development service that specializes in native applications is your best bet. On the other hand, if your priority is reaching a wider audience quickly with a unified codebase, cross-platform development might be the most suitable option.
Ultimately, both approaches have their merits, and selecting the right one will depend on factors like budget, timeline, target audience, and the complexity of the features you require.
Conclusion
The choice between native and cross-platform desktop app development is not an easy one, but understanding the key differences can help guide your decision. Whether you are considering a desktop software development company for native development or seeking the versatility of cross-platform solutions, it’s important to assess your project’s specific needs. By making the right choice, you can ensure that your desktop app delivers the best possible user experience and meets your business objectives.

Native vs. Hybrid Mobile Apps: Which Is Right for Your Business?
Tumblr media
In today’s fast-paced digital world, having a mobile application is essential for any business looking to stay competitive. When it comes to mobile application development services, business owners are often faced with the decision of whether to choose a native or hybrid mobile app. Each option has its own set of advantages and challenges, making it important to carefully evaluate your business needs before making a choice. So, let’s dive into the differences between native and hybrid apps and explore which option is best suited for your business.
What Are Native Mobile Apps?
Native mobile apps are applications built specifically for a particular platform, such as iOS or Android. These apps are developed using platform-specific programming languages like Swift (for iOS) or Kotlin/Java (for Android). Because native apps are tailored for a specific operating system, they tend to offer the best performance and can fully integrate with the device’s features, such as the camera, GPS, and push notifications.
Advantages of Native Apps:
Superior Performance: Native apps provide the best user experience due to their optimized performance. They are faster and more reliable.
Access to Device Features: Native apps can fully utilize the capabilities of the device, such as sensors, cameras, and geolocation features.
Better User Interface: Since they are developed for a specific platform, the user interface (UI) is optimized for that system, providing a seamless experience for the users.
Challenges of Native Apps:
Higher Development Costs: Developing separate apps for iOS and Android can be costly and time-consuming.
Longer Time to Market: Since native apps require development for each platform individually, it may take longer to bring the app to market.
Maintenance: Maintaining multiple apps for different platforms can increase complexity and cost.
What Are Hybrid Mobile Apps?
Hybrid mobile apps, on the other hand, are built using web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These apps run inside a native container and can be deployed on both iOS and Android devices. Hybrid apps are developed using cross-platform frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or Ionic, allowing developers to write one codebase that works across multiple platforms.
Advantages of Hybrid Apps:
Cost-Effective: Since hybrid apps are built using a single codebase, development and maintenance costs are significantly lower than native apps.
Faster Time to Market: With one codebase for both platforms, hybrid apps can be developed and deployed much faster.
Easier Updates: Updates can be rolled out across both platforms simultaneously, simplifying maintenance.
Challenges of Hybrid Apps:
Performance Limitations: Hybrid apps might not perform as well as native apps, especially for graphics-intensive or highly interactive apps.
Limited Access to Device Features: While hybrid apps can access most device features, some advanced features may not be available or require additional plugins.
User Experience: Although hybrid apps have improved over time, they might still offer a slightly less polished user experience compared to native apps.
Which Is Right for Your Business?
When deciding between a native or hybrid app for your business, it ultimately depends on your specific needs, budget, and time constraints. If your app requires high performance, smooth interactions, or access to advanced device features, a native mobile application may be the best choice. However, if you’re working with a limited budget or need to launch your app quickly on multiple platforms, a hybrid app may be the more suitable option.
For businesses looking for scalability and the ability to quickly make changes across platforms, hybrid apps can provide the flexibility you need. However, if long-term user experience and performance are your top priorities, investing in native app development might be worth the extra cost and effort.
Conclusion
Choosing between native and hybrid mobile apps is a critical decision for your business. Each option comes with its own set of pros and cons, so it's essential to evaluate your project’s specific requirements. If you need expert guidance in deciding which approach is best for you, consider reaching out to a mobile application development company that can help assess your business needs and build a solution that meets your goals.

Cross-Platform vs. Native Apps: Which is Best for Your Startup?
Tumblr media
As a startup, one of the first major decisions you’ll face when creating a mobile app is whether to go for a cross-platform mobile app development approach or build a native app. This decision plays a critical role in determining your app’s functionality, performance, and long-term scalability. While both approaches have their pros and cons, understanding the key differences between cross-platform and native apps is essential for making the right choice for your startup.
In today’s competitive market, mobile apps are vital for delivering customer engagement and enhancing business operations. With millions of apps in the market, startups need to choose the right development method to stand out and deliver exceptional user experiences. So, should you opt for a cross-platform mobile app development approach that promises versatility across devices or stick to a native app that guarantees optimized performance for specific platforms? Let’s dive deeper into both options and explore the benefits and limitations of each.
What Are Cross-Platform Apps?
Cross-platform apps are built using a single codebase that runs across multiple platforms such as iOS and Android. Frameworks like React Native, Flutter, and Xamarin are often used to develop these apps, enabling developers to write code once and deploy it on both platforms without the need to rewrite it for each operating system. This approach allows businesses to reach a wider audience while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
One of the major benefits of cross-platform development is that it significantly reduces development time and costs. Rather than needing to maintain two separate codebases for iOS and Android apps, businesses can focus on a single unified codebase that handles both. This can save both time and resources during the development process, making it an attractive option for startups with limited budgets and timelines.
Additionally, cross-platform apps provide a consistent user experience across different devices. By using the same codebase, businesses ensure that their app will look and function similarly on both platforms, offering customers a uniform experience no matter which device they’re using.
What Are Native Apps?
Native apps, on the other hand, are developed specifically for one platform, either iOS or Android. These apps are written in the native programming languages of the respective platforms, such as Swift or Objective-C for iOS and Kotlin or Java for Android. Because native apps are built for a specific operating system, they can take full advantage of the platform's features and deliver optimal performance.
Native apps are known for their high performance, speed, and responsiveness. They are generally faster and more efficient than cross-platform apps because they are tailored specifically for the platform they are designed for. This means that native apps can provide a smoother and more fluid user experience, especially for complex functionalities like real-time updates, heavy graphics, and resource-intensive operations.
Another significant advantage of native apps is their ability to fully integrate with platform-specific hardware and software features. For example, if your app requires access to the camera, GPS, or sensors, native development can offer better and more seamless integration with these features. This makes native apps a great choice for startups looking to develop an app that relies heavily on specific device capabilities.
Cross-Platform vs. Native: Comparing the Key Differences
When it comes to choosing between cross-platform and native development for your startup, several factors need to be considered. Here’s a breakdown of the key differences:
Development Time and Cost:
Cross-Platform: One of the biggest advantages of cross-platform mobile app development is its cost-efficiency. By using a single codebase for multiple platforms, you can significantly reduce both development time and costs. For startups with limited budgets, this can be an attractive option.
Native: Native app development generally takes longer and costs more because two separate codebases need to be maintained for different platforms. However, this extra investment can pay off if you’re looking for maximum performance and platform-specific features.
Performance:
Cross-Platform: While cross-platform apps perform well for most use cases, they may not offer the same level of performance as native apps, especially for complex tasks or graphics-heavy applications. Certain limitations in how the code interacts with the platform’s native resources can impact speed and responsiveness.
Native: Native apps offer superior performance, as they are optimized specifically for each platform. For startups aiming to build high-performance apps, such as games or applications that require intensive processing, native development is often the better choice.
User Experience:
Cross-Platform: Cross-platform apps generally aim to deliver a consistent user experience across both iOS and Android. However, the user interface (UI) might not feel as “native” on each platform, as it’s designed to be the same across devices, sometimes resulting in a slightly less polished experience.
Native: Native apps can provide a superior and more intuitive user experience. Because they are designed specifically for each platform, they can fully utilize the UI elements and conventions of each operating system, leading to a smoother and more natural interaction.
Maintenance and Updates:
Cross-Platform: With cross-platform apps, maintenance and updates are more straightforward because there is only one codebase to manage. However, updates may take longer to deploy across both platforms, especially if a specific update is needed for one platform and not the other.
Native: Maintaining native apps requires managing two separate codebases, which can make it more time-consuming and costly. However, updates and features can be tailored specifically to each platform, offering greater flexibility in the long term.
The Cost Factor: Using a Mobile App Cost Calculator
The cost of mobile app development is one of the most critical factors for startups. While the initial investment in building an app can be substantial, it’s essential to keep costs under control to ensure long-term sustainability. To help you make an informed decision, using a mobile app cost calculator can give you a more precise estimate of the expenses involved in developing either a cross-platform or native app.
A mobile app cost calculator takes into account various factors such as the complexity of the app, the number of features, the development time, and the platform(s) you intend to target. By using this tool, you can compare the costs associated with both development approaches and make the best financial decision for your startup.

Cross-Platform Application Development: A Strong Choice for Startups
In conclusion, the decision between cross-platform and native app development boils down to your startup’s specific needs and goals. If you’re aiming for a quick, cost-effective solution with a broader reach across multiple platforms, cross-platform application development is likely the best option. However, if performance, speed, and deep integration with device features are your top priorities, then investing in a native app might be the right choice.
Regardless of the path you choose, it’s essential to carefully evaluate your options, the complexity of your app, and your long-term vision. A well-planned app development strategy can pave the way for your startup’s success and growth.
