Happy Sunday Children ✨✨ The sun is out so my shoulders are too 😂 The relevance of my video post is like 100. Just listen to the words first and come back to my caption: I feel like celebrities' sins are always made to be greater than ordinary people's sins. The media doesn't expose people because they care about who these celebrities are hurting. They do it because it scandalous. And in scandals, we feel better about ourselves due to our own measures of good and bad. And I'm just as guilty of this as anyone else, and especially when it comes to addiction; we hear a celebrity battling an addiction problem and belittle them. As if they had a choice to share their struggles with the world; as if we aren't facing our own personal addictions. Wid humans when we are glorified by other humans, there's an expectation to be perfect even though we are prone to sin. So when we do have a flaw that we are trying to work on like an addiction involving lust, greed etc. people are easily disappointed. And we fail to receive the recognition we need for trying our best to overcome it. So get your recognition from God and give him recognition. To fall is human, but what makes us Christian is how we rise above temptation. Here's a few tips from my battle: 1. Realise resources, and only a few people can accept and help you in your current state but only God can unconditionally love and save you from repetitive descent into this sin. 2. You are weak in the state of addiction, so you can't get out of it alone. Admit this to God and ask his Holy Spirit to be with you. That is the strength you need. 3. Find an accountability partner. Someone close to you that will guide and support you through this spiritual battle. 4. Overcoming addiction requires patience, and is a daily achievement. 5. Each time you fail or come face wid temptation; run to God. Post inspired by "Single, not alone"~Pastor Mike @wearetransformation . Do you have those amazing moments when you hear something that changes how you view everything for the better? Well this sermon was something else✨✨ and has really provided me with real insight on how to tackle this inner growth I've been trying to achieve through my relationship with God since Easter. I want to fill the void in me with God as He is love and with love, I can eventually learn to be complete in myself, and then love others. At first, I thought that breaking away from everyone I love was the answer and I was planning to do this very slowly but last week, I just felt like the void was getting bigger and I was getting worse. I didn't feel happy with trying to cut ties. It felt wrong and that's because it was wrong. In isolation, the Devil works best. Feeding us horrid lies and filling our void with hate making us insecure and unhappy. The problem is I had confused being single with alone and that lead to loneliness. But now I know that to be complete by yourself; to be an individual doesn't mean disconnect. I just need to focus on God and myself. Become more self-aware to know my weaknesses and strengths and ask God for The Holy Spirit to help me grow. Sometimes, I look at couples and go,"how am I single?" But being single is our choice. Sometimes, we make the right decision and sometimes the wrong one but I'm done squandering this God-given season by following meaningless feelings and relationships with no future. Everything I'll do is in hopes to fulfill God's will and bring people to salvation but I can only do this if I grow with him first. I think I was saying "Ayyyeee!!" Whilst this picture was being taken. This is a whole public toilet cubicle in London 😅 but how could I not take advantage of the scenery? Thinking about the beauty in ugly situations. I think we can all relate to times where we have expressed generosity towards others and it's just been taken for granted and not appreciated. Especially as Christians, we may get annoyed when this happens cause its rude. However what we fail to remember is that just like Jesus, we are called to serve others.And that isn't always easy. But whether they appreciate or not, God sees our acts of kindness and is proud of us. Cause we are expressing love. We shouldn't regret being kind. Kindness is actually the greatest weapon; how silly does a person look being mean to someone who has been nice to them? Kinda reminds me of how the Pharisees treated Jesus. It's Friday to me. So I'm not a day late. Watch the rest of this poem on my IGTV channel. I think it answers the basic concept of Grace which I believe every Christian should properly learn about. Grace is the foundation on which our relationship with God as a Christian is built on. I first properly understood Grace when I watched the "Grace like a flood" series by Pastor Mike Todd in the summer. You guys should check it out on YouTube. But basically that series clarified the meaning of Grace to me and altered it's importance in my life. And let me tell you Grace doesn't just save but is sustains and empowers me in everything I do. My Edpie is out in Cuba doing what she do so prom was not an option for meh until Janet forced me. I honestly and truly I loved prom and that's because of the amazing people in my life. Thanks God✨ Starting from the morning of prom to my bus ride home the love was real. I wanna thank my mama for birthing me. Although I did have fun at prom, I saw prom as a mission. I came to prom with no expectations, just a list of things I needed to do involving relationships. Prom was my night of clarification. I had to do everything on my list before I could close this chapter in my life and I did 🎉 even though some ish were hard. However, I'm happy with where I stand with people. There are relationships where the gate to cross have finally been closed by both parties so our bridge has been left behind so we can move on with life. Maybe it'll be crossed next year. Maybe Succession will occur cause we never cross path again. But our bridge will stand. When I look through the gate I'll think of the happy times as well as the bad.
