i was a legal assistant for like two hundred hours and using 'v' for 'versus' will never leave me
#i have no idea what actual hour count was tbf#i think it was over a hundred tho#and 'less than two hundred' feels like it implies eight days#well. idk that the phrasing i settled on Doesn't but#anyway i was very part time for a few years#like. a few hours a week#...i also use 'v' for 'very' but i can't currently think of an example where that would actually be confusing#i can't think of an issue example where it would be briefly confusing even but also idk how others interpret things#anyway. 'vs' sounds like a staged wrestling match to me And it's an extra letter#no thanks#storm's posts#personal#this is so fuckin stupid#unfortunately i have strong opinions on (my own specific interpretations of) wording#i Know other idiolects are different and other dialects are Way different#but consider: i can only ever fully know my own#every other evaluation is but an interpretation through my own language lens!#idk about. like. internal cognition? but in terms of how i communicate that awareness i am limited#both by my own idiolect and understanding of others'#and that of those who i am trying to communicate with#life is uncertainty!#language is yet more uncertainty!#you can ignore#i know i have another pointless ramble post brewing#but after that? i think i'll be done?
