Idk if it's okay to ask, but I thought that I'd better ask someone with a Palestinian perspective. How many months passed, I still cannot grasp why it's either hamas/houthis/whoever fights Israel and the West are either unexcusable terrorists who are completely evil, who don't have any rational reasoning behind their actions and anyone they're fighting is a poor attacked victim, OR they're picture perfect innocent noble fighters that have never done nothing wrong and any kind of criticism or questioning their methods or ideology means you're a zionist no matter how much you support Palestine and the military resistance of it's people. Or you're an antisemite just because you think that wanton murdering or thousands of people and erasing them from existance with all methods possible is unacceptable regardless of who commits it even if they're Jewish. Why? That doesn't make any sense.

i mean i can answer for hamas part specifically since i can't say much about houthis (i would check out bloglikeanegyptian's posts about them) but — hamas are rarely talked about as a legitimate government or resistance movement and instead portrayed as violent barbarians. its a blatant fact that hamas will never, under the current circumstances, inflict the same amount of systematic and constant damage on israelis as israel does on palestinians. just as a basic fact.

so people are so used to hamas's just... blatant dehumanization, and by extension the dehumanization of palestinian resistance in any form (see: bds criticisms, protests, march of return) that they are resistant to publicly criticizing hamas. there are definitely criticisms of hamas in palestinian society, obviously. we have diverse political opinions. but we usually won't air them out for everyone to see because israel is intent on erasing palestinians first and foremost.

and also— hamas is not like other islamist movements because it doesn't use religion as the main reason for it's efforts. their movement is rooted in liberating palestine first and thats really its only concern atm and it uses islam as a framework for that liberation. so when people call hamas a "terrorist org," they're usually thinking of like... alqaeda and isis for comparisons when they're pretty different ideologies. people tend to equate islam=bad in western politics without really examining what that means.

to be frank, palestinians will be called terrorists no matter what they do. people have been calling us antisemitic for refusing to buy from companies that either directly funded the idf or publicly supported it lol. so people aren't really going to trust those who criticize hamas right now because they aren't sure if this is coming from a genuine place or a place of looking down on palestinians.

i saw the uncensored image too. just about an hour ago. on here, in fact, through a screenshotted instagram(?) post from motaz... idk WHAT within me wrenched the second i saw it, but something did. this photo is absolutely horrifying, harrowing and disturbing.

before anyone gets morbidly curious, let me describe the image. and let it be known that i'm not trying to be funny when i say this:

imagine if someone was lying on the ground, and all of a sudden, 90% of their body turned into splattered tomatoes. no face or head, no torso, no legs. that's what it looks like. that was a man. maybe even a boy. he was someone's someone. and now he's gone. in this most mangled form, no less... and it doesn't even stop there. the exposed right arm (still uncensored even in the embedded tweet)? you can tell where the treads ran this man over because his upper arm is completely flattened. his other arm is indiscernible. his right leg was completely destroyed into nothing but saggy flesh and a protruding tibia bone. you can't even see his organs clearly, he's just a heaping mound of red and yellow, with the only things "remaining"- aside from his right arm- being his clothes... my explanation hasn't even scratched the surface.

listen. i'm not easily disturbed by things. i've seen and heard a lot about this world and how scummy people can be... but this did it for me. i can't believe my eyes. my body is actually still somewhat shaking and sore from shock. if you're one to get easily sick from violence even leagues less gruesome than this... welp, this is your warning.

frankly, i really ought to have stopped looking at the picture longer ago, but part of me couldn't... everyone says "don't look away" when referring to the silence of you and the world as these atrocities are photographed, filmed and posted in real time... but for a good 10-20 minutes, if not more, i just kept looking. part of me wanted to argue morbid curiosity, but at the same time, it couldn't be...

i think of it now more as the epitome. the weight of the situation was just presented to me, clear as crystal. this is what palestinians are dealing with constantly while i'm safe and well at home. i couldn't imagine what this feels like, physically or mentally, but they're experiencing it right now. meanwhile, "israelis" are living as usual, pretending this is actually a two-sided war...

"israel" and everyone else complicit and/or participating must never be forgiven. this needs to end. NOW.

and the timing could've have been better for me to see this and make this post. today is the global shutdown for palestine. today is the day where we can show the world that these actions are beyond unacceptable. this picture, censored or not, should fuel your rage and urge you to take action. the plight and suffering of palestinians will end someday, as long as we keep working as a collective society and fight like hell. it HAS to.

have you seen the crowd on twitter trying to get Sam and Colby cancelled and sued for 'not doing enough'? It's wild and makes no sense to me, they're doing plenty, they don't need to give us everything, what are these people on?

see the thing is, it's not even that they "aren't doing enough", ie related to xplrclub, it's that they aren't talking about things that matter. the main two being palestine and george/wilbur being creeps.

to be mad at them for all three of these things, as if somehow they are all on the same level is ridiculous and such an online take, it's not even funny.

but here, i'll break down how i feel about all of this.

as i've stated before, snc don't have to comment on palestine. i know a lot of fans want them to say something but reality is nothing will change if they say free palestine or ask for a ceasefire. snc do not hold that much power, they aren't besties with the president. stop asking influencers to do something. this genocide has been happening for a long time, well prior to the october attacks. it's not snc's job to inform the public on worldwide news. it will not change what is currently happening. palestinians are being murdered and you are making this about snc. stop doing that. who you should be truly angry at is our government and the fact they keep giving OUR TAX DOLLARS to the idf. be upset at that. call your congressmen. donate. stop making this about snc, oh my god.

xplrclub. imma be honest with you, this is the one that i find hysterical, just bc of how far fetch it is.

i read the original post that started all of this, or at least that was recently created about all of this. i'm also on xplrclub and saw a fan asking basically all of these questions, and then getting a reply from a mod telling them that snc have account managers that probably tell them when to comment on things, and then when that wasn't a good enough answer, said fan asked for an admin. and idk what happened afterwards.

but let me make it abundantly clear: you can't sue snc for "not doing enough" lol that's just not a thing

first off, they haven't even been charging us for a while. so you're not paying for any of the content as of right now. which i think has caused ppl to think that xplrclub has always been free. but now that they plan to charge us in 2 weeks times, ppl are upset that this is all the content they're getting. but snc laid it out loud and clear on the site of what we're getting: multiple camera roll vids a week, a podcast and livestream a month, and a giveaway a month. and then exclusive content like once a week i think. that's all laid out on the site. if you don't want to be charge $19 a month for that… then don't sign up. it's an exclusive club for a reason. not every fan can afford it. you're not owed a spot in xplrclub. sorry. that's just how the world works.

but what makes all of this even dumber is these fans want to sue snc or at least let them know that "without your fans you would have nothing" as if snc don't already know that. and they're talking about "all we need is 40% of ppl on xplrclub to leave, and then they would have to shut it down, which means we can sue them bc we're not getting what was promised to us"

again, not how any of this works. not to mention, any fans that believes this 10000% wasn't around when metalife shut down in like three days time with basically a paragraph and an email notice lol but that being said snc also gave refunds to those that were charged for the month it shut down

if snc lost a huge amount of subs on xplrclub, they're allowed to shut the site down then if they weren't breaking even or were losing profit from it. the only reason you would be allowed to sue them is if they weren't giving you any content but kept charging you anyway. or if somehow there was a data leak and ppl's card information got out there. that would be a reason to sue. but that has not happened, and most likely won't as well.

not to mention, but there are over 1000 members on that site as we speak. 40% would be a significant dent, sure; but not enough to close the site down. there would still be hundreds of ppl on the site. you would need over half of the users to dip out, and baby that just ain't happening lol

there was also this whole argument about how if snc were sued "tv and film laws" are really difficult and they would be in a lot of trouble and all i gotta say to that is……… wut???? snc aren't on tv or film???? do you guys think they are characters or something, actors acting in their vids??? when snc call their content "movies" they don't mean literal movies, they mean length wise, babe. like i want to give some benefit since i know some of these fans are really young and don't know better but like… google is a thing.

- pledged his support to the ongoing ethnic cleansing and genocide of palestine. continues to pledge his support to israel as of october 26 2023. is on twitter showing his ass the same way trump does. directly giving a thumbs up to the murder of thousands of thousands of people. doesn’t care that he is using american tax dollars to fund child murder and has in fact doubled down on his pov since this started. doesn’t care in generally apparently i can’t believe i voted for him or believed for a second that things would get better and he would be the one to make it happen.
