I'm back to ask about your wips again 👀 What's Clipped about? Oh oh and Omegaverse Royal AU with Rastim 💕

So the Omegaverse Royal AU is this one, but where it says "Rastim" it's actually a spin-off (or maybe I should say a parallel story? IDK that's what a spin-off is after all, but I wrote everything together and then separated the bits) about what's happening with Tim. I mention in that post that Ra's shows up because he wants a piece of the cake, and in this case the cake involves the Drake estates which 14 yo Tim is set to inherit when he's old enough. Case in point, he's too young for a recognized union of any kind. He presented as an Omega just a few months prior to these events, but by law he's not old enough for an official mating or to inherit anything. Also, King Alexander is not happy with the Al Ghuls coming over and going like "ah yes haha this is mine actually", "oh sure I will take this other one instead". All of this is however not going to stop Ra's from getting what he wants :)

"Clipped" instead is a veeeeeery old WIP. It's the very first DC darkfic I've ever written! I probably posted a couple of snippets here and there but never the entire thing because it's on hiatus, and who knows if I'll ever finish it. I wrote it after reading Future State (more than a year ago), and it's in fact a Future State inspired situation where vigilantes are outlawed so severely that some get executed publicly, some kept locked away for experiments on their meta-genes if they have any, and in general it's not a good situation especially since the Bats and Birds have had their identities revealed to the press. They're forced to live separated and in constant hiding, all linked through Oracle (which is not a single person at this point but a "vigilante-friendly group" lead by Babs) while they try not to get caught by authorities for who knows what.

In this picture, Deathstroke became some sort of vigilante hunter. He's allowed to be free and do whatever he wants (and his kids have some degree of immunity as well, or anyway they're relatively safe), but in exchange he hunts down, captures and "deals" with rogue metas and "former heroes". Which means that some get sent to governamental facilities to be brainwashed rehabilitated, some get publicly executed as mentioned, and some just... "disappear". It took Slade literal years, but finally he got his hands on a good chunk of the flock of birds (Damian, Dick, Tim and Jason). The thing is. Slade is a mental sadistic creep in this one, and before he does anything even remotely helpful, he's going to break the kids to little pieces and then rearrange them as he sees fit.

The story features (or anyway should feature) Dark!Sladin in almost all its shapes. It was really fun to explore how the kids deal with the situation, because Tim took the months of torture of his life and eventually decided to try and follow the rules to limit the damage, Jason instead had a mental breakdown and decided that he'd going to get himself killed again (not going to be easy to make Slade slip though). Damian doesn't grasp the gravity of the situation, and Dick is just desperate to do literally anything to help the others. But again, I'm not surem I will ever even publish it. I might end up posting it incomplete just cuz.

Hey I was thinking about making the fnafhspr au into a comic again now that what I needed before having to be made into a video isn't necessary anymore I still have no knowledge how to make these but I'm going to try ;v; with every new fnaf drop I end up trying to adjust my au to fit in the new details and I thought that maybe once I am so sure that what I have later down the line with to be locked in place I'll be able to go back to video and fix any errors I had or changes I made when it's "finally ready". this is also for an art style problem of mine which doesn't matter rn I don't think I have to say cuz I'm sure you guys already know

Official fnaf stuff (movie, games, books, and merchandise, ect.) will be heavy inspiration but also some theories I hear online will most likely be the reason I end up doing stuff in the story

The main characters will be the animatronics (freddy, bonnie, chica, foxy, gold and) so when it "shifts(?)" to another characters story it's not like what edo kept doing with her mistake in forgetting freddy is the main character but it's that the whole 5 missing kids is what started all this they were the main reason for the whole story to start so the animatronics will be the main characters with their own mc story while still being in their little friend group but to also let in other characters come in even for a moment but also because I'm terrible at story writing I've never actually written publicly cuz I get nervous and I get horribly side tracked and so far the writing process has bounced around from character to character

I'm still going to try making it horror maybe not so much gore like I had originally planned now that the villains motive for the au has changed. they'll still be violent tho because I really want it to be what I vision for fnaf but you know- it's high school lol

The whole art problem I have is I really want to actually try drawing backgrounds properly I still need to practice buildings and furniture design for rooms I have to teach myself how to do everything so I hope you forgive me for some of the wonky drawings. I'm going to try simplifying a lot of stuff not for shortcut purposes but skill issue reasons as I unfortunately do not have resources to help me

Last thing I want to clarify is some stuff will be nonfiction I don't want to offend anyone so a lot of health issues with a certain character is not going to be real it will be made up because story purposes so when a character has a real health issue I will try my best to make it as close to the real thing since I am no doctor obviously and I don't trust doctors here as they lie or gaslight you into thinking you're actually fine so anything I find will be online and if the source I use lies to me I am very sorry for being stupid 💀

I don't mind explaining the rough plot synopsis I suppose, as I'm not gonna post this story publicly anyway;

(Couple notes: Rengoku is not dead because my friend loves him so much, no canon demons from ds show up as I'd need to read the manga myself first to write them properly, the bnha characters appearing are from a combo if two of my fic aus, Unravel and FS)

Tanjirou, his friends, Rengoku and Tengen & wives are basically invited by Hisashi/good DFO (whos just FS Hisashi as a kitsune) to investigate potential demon sightings in their city. While there they meet some of my og story characters who are either Hisashi's guests, or just tourists. Either way they end up helping out with the investigation, and there's lot of shenanigans that happens;

Tengen having a silly argument with little Tenko (we thought it was funny, idk if Tengen would actually do this lmao)

There's a 20-year-old Tomura from another universe, because I have to include some dimensional shenanigans when using FS's cast in any way lol, who's kind of a demon too. However since he is from an au, he doesn't eat people or burn in the sun. This latter misunderstanding from Tanjirou & co leads to some funny shenanigans, such as them panicking when he's exposed to sunlight, only to see he's totally fine and only shields himself from the sun because its 'too hot and bright'

Tengen gets covered in glitter at one point I think. Don't ask why

Zenitsu probably gets spooked a couple of times at least

Milo and Inosuke will have an eating contest & throw shit at each other (Milo is a telepath so he can levitate things)

And so on.

Now, to get back to the plot; they eventually end up in a Red District, and find a clue about the demon, who supposedly destroyed one of the places there. The eyewitnesses tell them this strange customer got angry because minors were working there. Unknowingly to them, this mystery man 1. Isnt really a demon, 2. Not the one they are looking for, and 3. He is actually watching them work this whole time, because he wants to find the demon as well, as the fool tried to kill his witch companion whom he's protective over.

Eventually they find the demon, and this mystery figure - Yaguro, my newest character - shows up and probably kills the demon himself. He gets mistaken for one by the group at first too, probably. Also maybe he yeets Inosuke like in that sketch, idk. It'd be funny.

The finer details are still a work in progress for me lmao, but that's the gist of it! Nothing is canon or official to anything whatsoever ofc, its just a story I'm writing for her for shits and giggles

Just to any mods in general: When designing a character do you go through many design changes before settling on a final design?

not rlly tbh , tha only one's who'v rlly gone thru any sort of design changes was alien , tyrant , teen , an horror (an even then most were 4 sake of convenience/amplifying their characteristics y'kno ?)

4 example:

- while alien may hav gotten a new Frill around his neck now , he also used 2 b able 2 split his mouth all tha way down 2 his abdomen . not sure y i had that but i don't now

- horror's monster form design was a Lot different from how it was back then (never posted it publicly tho) . biggest difference was that he had eyes and a nose !!! an also chains on his wrists an ankles

- tyrant had a Lot mor scars , altho they were simplified 4 convenience sake . him being blind in one eye was ALSO not a thing originally ! ended up adding it bc ,,,, idk lol thought it looked neat

- i jus made teen look mor liek a ,,,, well a Teenager . fuckers sixteen now he can b a little edgy as a treat <3 also unrelated but fun fact he has three parents ! i forgot 2 include one of them when teen reveals who stars parents r whoops

usually when i have an idea for character design i make a few sketches on paper to see what i like. ive usually talked about personality, characteristics, backstory etc beforehand so i have a vague idea of what i want it to look like!

-OWA's design changed a lot, more specifically his outfit and its colors. He used to wear a jacket until I decided that he probably wouldn't enjoy the restrictive movement that comes w it, and also drawing his scars seems cooler to me than just a normal jacket.

-Burnt Toast was going to originally be humanoid before the final design! He was going to have only one eye and a lower jaw, and he would wear a mask around people he didn't trust. After changing his story slightly, he ended up being the giant time noodle seen today :]

-Lizard RHM was actually very tricky at first. I knew I wanted him to be a lizard, but it was very difficult to decide how humanoid he would be, what his color scheme would be, what kind of lizard he would resemble, etc. Orange and spikey stuck out to me the most! im a sucker for orange. i love orangh

i kind of just accidentally make design changes over time and go "oh i guess this is how i draw them now lol!!"

the most common thing for me to do is to make hair fluffier over time or make the character shorter by accident

Bliss:

I tend to stick fairly closely to the original design (in Alex's case, I have not changed anything about them, but that's just because I got attached to the silly), but more often change the character's personality over time (Alex went from someone barely making ends meet and working paycheck to paycheck to a popular YouTuber because of a joke AU I made).

There's an example and exception contained in one OC of mine, who went over a huge personality overhaul (went from sad to thembo) and also had a lot of his features changed as a result of him actually being given an ethnicity (he didn't have one before), after which I changed his features accordingly.

I'll also change a physical design if the old design has bad memories attached to it (I recently redesigned a character because his outfit was created by my abuser).

Milkyway:

Personally, I haven't really changed anything much design wise for my aus (except for my modsona she got a redesign recently). Triple Treat really only had this one rather dark joke I have since tossed aside I guess. However, how an au of mine did go through a bit of a change... Kid!

Initially, Kid was meant to be a rather shy and quiet child. He didn't really talk with people or other kids at his daycare, his only friends being his toys. Mama V also wasn't part of the initial concept, coming from a suggestion that one of the other mods had

As you can tell, Kid has perked up quite a bit. He's a LOT more friendly and cheerful, and a lot more... Peculiar to say the least, with some of the things he's able to so ;)

Well, I guess there's also a lot of the ideas I had for Reaper! I just, haven't really been able to implement them.

I'm a POWDER KEG about this fic. Idk how much I wanna share publicly just yet........but the TMABB discord has seen some bits so.... why not?

It's a WIP, a JGM & WTGF, midevil royalty, mutual inconviences to mutual pining to lovers fic with *political intrigue*.

It keeps on surprising me! The chapter I need to write right now (the fic'll completed when I start posting) is 90% off the original outline. And there is so, so much rep i didn't really plan to add and then it showed up! And the research is kind of stressful but I have people sensitivity reading (if you're seeing this 😘 you're the best) and I just really, really want to do good by the people I'm portraying. (I have cried over this before and I will again. It's fine.)

I'm trying super hard to weave in themes of intersectionality and friendships being as important as romantic partnerships. (MARTIN. AND. MELANIE. AS. SIBLING. FIGURES.) And is it really my writing without miscommunication and healthy communication in equal, very heavy doses?

There are also some OCs thrown in the mix to fill in the necessary gaps for hereditary royalty and i...gosh I hope people like them. I promise they won't overshadow the main cast, though! (Like Compass Jane, if that means anything to you)

And last thing I'll say for now: I am having WAAAAAAAY too much fun putting characters in positions they can thrive in (yk what they said about tragedy being the protagonist in the wrong story? That but flip it.) So

1. Martin's the most powerful person in the room. Any room.

2. Jon gets socially kneed in the balls cause he kinda deserves it (he's fine)

3. Gerry gets to burn books (it works out in universe.....;D) and be a badass

4. Georgie ...*sighs wistfully* she.... I'm not abandoning her cannon thing for independence, that's important. That's all I'll say for now.

5. I can barely talk about Melanie without spoilers oh BOY. She has a sword and really heccing knows how to use it, and she's basically an e-girl.

6. Minimizing the ""cop"" (in quotes for no-cops-at-au-only-knights reasons) characters and maximizing the muslim Arabic characters is a surprisingly easy thing to do!

The whole thing's outlined (i told you how that's going tho lol) and it's chugging ahead wordcount-wise. It's still gonna be a hooooot minute before I start posting, but I'm really proud of what I have so far and beyond ecstatic to let it out into the fandom when the time comes.

ok you talked about your op insert so i'll talk about the og op oc, greer! and since these answers are the same for both greer aus i'll just answer for both lol

1. give us a quick run down of your s/i!!

greer was an oc i made over a year ago for op, beginning simply as an older sibling to the s.trawhats and apart of the crew, and then also becoming a parent to asl trio in a separate au. the only thing they both share is their ancestry (like, who their family is and what their childhood was like) and the fact that they use a wheelchair and/or a cane majority of the time.

parent au greer lives in a house on a hill and raises asl trio. g.arp is absolutely Positively terrified of ir and when greer was like "ok i'll raise ace" "ok i'll raise l.uffy" "ok i'm taking this kid from his shitty ass parents his name is s.abo" g.arp was like "my god you're insane- but yes go ahead you're right i can't do anything about it." sometimes i'm not sure that m.arineford even happens tbh. s.abo 'dying' absolutely doesn't, i know that for sure.

sibling au greer is actually a lot more complex lol. . .greer legit falls out of the sky and lands on the sunny's deck and is like "lol what's up. oh shit that's a lot of enemies hang on" zwipes the enemies and then asks if anyone wants tea. there's this whole thing of greer knowing s.hanks and buggy and being apart of their crews previously too. and for the large part being considered dead by the marines, both publicly and internally.

ummm greer usually wears like a deep purple loose shirt. .either a long sleeved or short sleeved depending on the weather, with a dark green or black slack. like. kind of a wrap but with actual sleeves. or sometimes one of those blankets you can button to make sleeves with? yeah. pants are loose slacks too. and then greer throws ir hair into a bun or has hang loose depending on irs mood shsjd

i also imagine greer wearing some fancy pants and a button up patterened shirt occasionally, just for fun.

10. what are some of your s/i's major skills?

uhhh neither greer uses devil fruits. just haki. and with irs insane lore comes the background of greer inheriting a huge chunk of ir haki from ir ancestors (its kind of spoilers so i won't elaborate publicly). in the sibling au greer is so much more grief striken and hides irs powers (mostly out of fear for the marines targeting the s.trawhats but. somewhat of shame too). but in the kid au greer is just older in age and in ones self assuredness and isn't bothered by irs power and uses it to its full potential with no qualms. for example, kid au greer rips apart m.arineford while barely tapping into irs power source bc ir is a badass and i said so shsjdmfmf

other skillz include making a mean cup of tea, growing plants for said tea, crafting mugs and cups, and generally being a jack of all trades for like. carpentry, engineering, etc. greer has made ir own wheelchairs and also some weapons.

in sibling au greer is more craft oriented while kid au greer is like. tends to the house, has a garden, socializes with the other adults in town, idk does normalish adult things. sibling au greer is a tad bit more insane and acts a little more closed off while parent au greer is more free and generally enjoying life to its fullest.

50. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had.

For some reason, my brain read this as 'read' instead of 'had', so here's my answer for fics and fic ideas I've seen out there first, then I'll get to my own ideas xD

My immediate thought was about the sex lives of various innanimate objects that I would have never even considered to write about in any way ever but um the Internet can be a very strange place xD

Apart from that? Probably the story where Hogwarts has access to a spaceship. And like, what's even weirder is that the story makes complete sense in itself??

For my own story ideas: idk about weird?? The thing is that all my story ideas start out fairly tame and canon compliant-ish and then get longer and longer and AU-er and crossoverisher the longer I let them simmer instead of actually writing anything, and my headcanon crossover multiverse is probably a very strange place for anyone but me, but I couldn't pinpoint any particular weird parts of it, really?

Weirdest one-shot ideas: idk, does Crowley (good omens) pole dancing count as weird? Writing for poolnoodel-level rarepairs of one-episode minor characters in crime shows? Making a character in PotC that I don't even remember the canon name of anymore genderbent to have a lesbian couple? Idk! Somebody tell me what my weirdest fics are? XD

I mean, I probably also had a bunch of weird fic ideas that got discarded because of that, but then my memory is too bad to remember those, hell I had to look at my ao3 fandom list to even remember the above!

Wait, there are some fucked up TOG ideas that haven't made it out of the draft stages (yet), namely one that I tend to call the Andronilynh pain sex fever dream (and have in fact already shared the WIP of on the discord), where mortal!Andy gets injured and ends up with a prosthetic arm or leg, but in the end she regains her immortality and the prosthetic falls off because the limb grows back, but slowly and painfully and basically Nile and Quynh fuck her through it to ease the pain... and another one about trans woman!Andy being unable to transition because of the immortality, with dysphoria and blood gore body horror and maybe a (happy?!) ending of cutting herself in half and operating on the bottom half before piecing herself together again to trick her body into thinking it's correct that way... Not being a trans woman myself idk whether to write that, I mean it was just a plot bunny and while I don't read gore, when for once I have a gory fic idea I do tend to write it because like. It can't fucking terrify me anymore than it already does in my mind?? But again not a trans woman and while fic is not mainstream media and doesn't have to worry about representation and shit as much, and I'd never tell anyone not to write a fic about something themselves when they have an idea for a story just because it's not their own experience... I still feel kinda weird about it but I Def wouldn't want to ask a trans woman about it and force her to think about my potentially triggering fic idea?? Then I'd rather just write it and tag appropriately... We'll see.

52. How did writing change you?

I'm not sure whether writing itself changed me very much? Or rather, I've been coming up with stories and also writing them down since such a young age that it's hard to tell whether any changes are from writing in particular.

Posting fic changed me in being less of a perfectionist even in what I share publicly, in being kinder both to myself and to others about what we create, and to really understand that being nice goes a long way and one thoughtless comment can ruin someone's day, and to try to never be that person.
