bitch post time!!!!!! many revelations ok last night's vibes were HEINOUS but it provided so much for me and lydia to talk about and now i am gonna share with you yippee storytime

so me and lydia drive over some wine bottles to sam for him to use as props in a film. and sam and the roommate are sitting on their porch and we chat a little bit acc sam said as i walked up 'you always look so suspicious' and i was like 'ok u guys were literally just staring at me' cause they WERE and roommate was actually really nicely like 'oh no you're okay' and generally was just kind of inserting into our convo which well i had fun with naturally. um anyway and then who comes running up but teko! our buddy teko. and sams like have yall met and im like Of course and teko gives me a hug and i cant lie it was actually so sweet. i am also extremely touch starved but it was a nice hug. anyway. then i had to help roommate pick shoes alongside teko's fit and then i was like um Ok Bye. when i got back in the car lydia was like so i saw a neon sweatshirt... and i was like yeah <3 that's my man <3 sorry ok vibes get worse as the night comes

we did also smoke beforehand and i accidentally took this huge hit and then thought id be fine w a little more but brother was i feeling funny. did not eat enough and didnt take water it was atrocious. so. we get there and let me tell you if I WAS WORKING i'd have been able to fix the fact that it was soooooooooo fucking loud in there like bad bad bad audio distortion etc i wanted to kick this dude off the mixer but like what ever... it hurt so bad. and the lights were mostly on until chloe and sam duped this guy into dimming some of them but even still it was giving middle school dance. without the fun cheesy music. some of my instagram gay people are there. um but sorry there was simply no way i was going near that dance floor like the bands lowkey highkey sucked (i mean it was just a bunch of white college dudes and they did not slay. shocker. sam kept being like 'they're so good' and we were like um haha... straight face emoji)

we acc disappeared for a while to another floor for the br and just chilled for like half an hour (and security came to find us lmfaooo but ended up just leaving) and i was feeling odd and out of body and too aware of how i looked and it was just not great i was like we're the only bitches serving cunt here... um. anywho. so like later theres a slow dance and roommate is dancing with this other girl i only know from instagram till this point and i suppose if i was really feeling myself i could have tried to make a move but i was not. once again. vile vibes in this place. like i dont mean to be a pussy i typically would be much more charming and fun if i wanted to flirt and kinda felt the vibe from them but i was not really enjoying myself LMAO

omg tysm for this incredibly kind message!!!! it literally made my entire day. tbh i didn't expect much of a response to that ficlet bc it was such a struggle to write - Aegnor and Angrod are not characters I think about often and Alqualondë is so odd narratively to me bc it feels like it should be a major turning point for everyone but it kind of...isn't? So this was my best attempt at making it make sense in my own mind. I need to write a full meta post on the subject soon haha to put my thoughts in order. I'm so glad you liked it!! Though I don't really write about them much, Olwë and Finarfin are such interesting characters to me so I'm glad they came through properly.

And thank u so so much!! i have absolutely adored writing towers, it's so much fun to explore the character dynamics and really dive into leithian and make everyone's choices make more sense in my own brain. in my mind finrod's death is really what sealed the doom of nirnaeth, cuz politically fingon lost so much with finrod. so i am really looking forward to exploring the ramifications of his survival and how the events of tol-in-gaurhoth affected him. i really see his role in leithian as him finally snapping and being like I'm going to help this person I love no matter the cost. I've always headcanoned that a big part of the reason he went to middle earth was to support both the nolofinwions and his own people who loved feanor. and in middle-earth he's had to make the hard pragmatic choice so many times, between splitting from turgon pretty much forever, letting his brothers go to the front lines, sending balan's people to the front lines, constantly smoothing things over between the Fëanorions, the nolofinwions, the doriathrim, the bëorians, and the laiquendi, and at the point of leithian he's just seen so much of that work burst into flames around him and he basically pulls a fingolfin. he's like fuck what happens to me, fuck what happens to my kingdom: thingol is insane, two of my brothers are dead, pretty much all of balan's people that i worked so hard to help are dead except this one guy who is determined to go on a suicide mission. so im gonna help balan's descendant and no one can stop me.

But now he's survived and he's going to have to reckon with...all of that...with fingon who just lost his father to a similar impulse, and with orodreth, and with himself. and of course sauron's mind games didn't help him any. so he's in a pretty bad headspace right now and is going to have to deal with a lot of the losses he's just been shoving away and not looking at up until now.

Finrod moves carefully to his chair, then sweeps his massive skirts behind him, swiftly moves the chair out, and sinks into it with a whoosh. He looks up cheerfully.

"Good morning, Atya, Ammë!" he says, beaming. "No special occasion - this is cultural. It is the latest in Vanyarin fashion!"

"Is it?" Arafinwë asks weakly. "It seems - difficult to move in."

"Oh, yes," Finrod responds, grinning even wider. The effect, in conjunction with the sparkling, billowing skirts and tangled hair, is nearly blinding. "That's the point, you see! It is intended to emulate the care with which the Valar must move, encased in the forms they take to walk among us. I thought the idea was fascinating. And the fabrics they use are so beautiful!"

"Ah - that is indeed interesting," Arafinwë responds, wondering who among his mother's people he will have to take aside later for a quick word on not telling Finrod about Vanyar fads. "Surely it is not intended to go out in...?"

"Oh, but of course it is!" Finrod says. "I plan to go out to market as soon as we are done breakfasting, to experience the full effect. Would you like to come? It could be quite interesting."

"Alas, your mother and I must hold court soon after breakfast, and cannot join," Arafinwë says without much regret.

"You must tell us about the experience, though!" Eärwen chimes in, sounding as if she is suppressing laughter.

"Ah, very well," Finrod says cheerfully; and after he has breakfasted he does indeed rise carefully - barely snatching his garment away from the remnants of jelly on his plate before it can be stained - and swim out of the room.

Eärwen and Arafinwë look at each other and burst into laughter.

"It is so good to have our son home," Eärwen says abruptly. "Our children gave me such joy. I had nearly forgotten."

Arafinwë reaches across the table to take her hand. "It is," he agrees. The image of Finrod leaving the room, having to angle his hips to fit through the door and bundling his hair about himself so as not to trip, floats across his mind and he chuckles again. "Do you remember when bustles were all the rage, and Artanis got caught on a turn of the stairway? She was furious."

Eärwen's laughter is a welcome peal, more light of heart than he had heard in years. "As I recall, it was Finrod who convinced her of their merits in the first place."

"She did not take his advice on fashion again, after that!" Arafinwë agrees. He cannot stop smiling as he begins to gather up the breakfast things and neaten his own robes. It feels as if his heart is singing within him: Our son is home. He is home. He is home!

I really wanted to make art for this post since Esther has gone through some changes under the sun- buuttt- sadly I couldn’t think of anything 😔

Anyways, Esther Skylight is magical puppet :0 and I tried to make her design related to the night sky!! Like her front bang, looks like a moon! A little collar with a star, and I planned to give her star freckles like Archie but I forgot about them 😭😭😭 Her entire design is with blue, for a night emotional sky!

Esther is often in the clouds, that’s how she spends her days and nights- but she is pulled to the town for special events and occurrences. She has the ability to go down herself, she’s just so shy and overthinks. And so often, it’s always Mae or Bertie calling her down 😂 In that insta post, I did mention that she saw it as a curse. But Esther isn’t necessarily bound to the sky. I don’t know what I was thinking when I made her- I just put a design and slapped facts on her. Which is so sad bc my bby didn’t deserve that 😭

Esther is still confirmed a book-worm. And she often goes by Honeybell’s bookstore. But she never really greets HB- so when she comes in and goes in front of HB to ask a question, she always manages to spook her!

Esther isn’t as artistic as I made her, more of that she can at least draw… decently. But her coloring job is amazing- but she never practices other aspects 😭 Her neurodivergent brain gets too distracted easily. (Talking abt that, Esther has ADHD and is autistic. She also has OCD.)

Esther is still a big fan of Teddy, but doesn’t necessarily have a crush on him as I intended. She actually has eyes for… hmm. For her sake, I’ll just say he’s a very oblivious sweetheart. But still, Esther tries her best to attend each and every show- but doesn’t always make it. And if she’s too late, she just moves on to do something else with her time since she fears to just step in right in the middle of the show. (Also have that fear.)

Esther also has a little side-job. Just working beside Mae and Bertie! It’s her favorite thing to pass the time, and yes! She made herself a cute uniform! I’ll totally doodle it later 😭 if I remember!

Okay, I mentioned Esther was a magical puppet. And she’s a puppet from the sky. So, I’ll just spill a few powers she has.

• Creation (Only lasts for minimal time and uses a lot of energy)

Though for one of her magical powers, there’s a reason she wears her star collar. If activated near a spirit, Esther has the ability to see the dead! :o

Okay- erm. Now to think of plain and simple facts… Oh! Esther is panromantic, and asexual. She’s Dream-A-Long’s Sentimental Sky-Joy! And she’s at least around her mid twenties. She’s 5’6. And Esther is adopted! Her family is all made of goblins, but after she moved out to find somewhere else new- she was in the clouds. Almost like… she was meant to be there? :0

Her entire vibe should totally remind people of the song- “Lost at a Sleepover.” By OMORI. (I’ve never played or seen the game so if it’s bad or smth- IM SORRY :(((()

Esther is nocturnal- but it’s not like she sleeps at all anyway? She kind of just says she doesn’t need to. Only thing that makes her deathly tired is overusing her abilities to a far extent. Which never happens since Esther doesn’t wanna show off.

Esther’s relationship with Archie is strange. The two barely communicate, but they don’t necessarily dislike one another. It’s just their aura and presence that makes the other uneasy and uncomfortable… Wonder why?

Though, Esther enjoys the shenanigans in the town! Her friends make sure she is included! And she’s always so happy to join in!

For Lightning, right off the bat, I headcannon that when he's starting out in his rookie era, he actually has really short hair, like, two or so inches long, and as he gets older he ends up growing it out till it ends up being around shoulder-blade length, and he also gets a bit of facial hair around C.ars 3 ish. I'd say he probably starts out somewhere in his early 20s(probably around 22 or 23 ish) and around C.ars 3 time he's probably around his mid-early 30s.

Also for his little ka-chow thingy, I can't explain it well but, I imagine he has the little lightning bolt on the shoulder of his suit and does a post sort of like this?

If that makes any sense XD😅 where he just sort of shoves his shoulder in the camera. (Though certainly not as fit)

Lightning definitely has a few cases of stimming, especially in C.ars On The Road(a mini short-series, each episode is like five minutes long. They sat 10 but half the thing is just credits, and no there's no extra credit scenes in there except for one!) And since he's almost always has cameras on him I think he'd just get super hyper when he can't openly stim.

For Finn, I'm just gonna get this immediately out the way cause I love it so so so much but never feel like I have an appropriate excuse to bring it up or gush about it, but I think he has a little bit of a crows feet thing(the thingy where you get the wrinkles at the outer corners of your eyes) going on and I don't know why it gets to me but it does. I'm a coward but I love him so I'm a shameless coward and he's probably like 54-56 or so where he's kept himself well in shape that he can quite easily still do all the spy sort of things that he needs to do. Definitely well in shape and has some muscle on him and stuff. While on the note of that I also have the really funny headcannon that he's superr flexible.

This isn't really so much as a headcannon but just love that when he smiles it's always with his mouth open a bit and I think it's adorable I love it.

I also think he'd wear a suit all the time everywhere. Partly because it's where his weapons and all his gadgets are for doing spy things, but also that's just his style.

ok copying this from my twitter. i got really mad at saw 3 last night and rewrote it to fix amanda's arc

sorry if the character stuff is way off base or if it's worded weirdly i just needed to fix (gestures vaguely in the direction of saw 3) all of that

ok for things I actually did like. i actually liked the dynamic between amanda and john for the most part bc it has the potential for some really powerful character moments for amanda. not that they did anything with that but there was potential!

and amanda being the one responsible for the saw 1 trap & making sure adam was actually dead was also good imo

now what fucking gets me about this godforsaken mistake of a movie is that amanda never really. grows or develops? even if she's arguably one of the main characters of a movie. her arc never gets completed

now there is a time and a place for tragic characters who have incomplete arcs but it really felt like the writer's either wanted everyone to die for shock value or couldn't figure out a way to justify her staying alive

the big thing I'd fix here is the bathroom trap flashbacks -- im assuming u guys haven't watched saw 3 so ill give a quick tldw [note most of the ppl who follow the account i posted this on aren't that big into horror so they haven't watched any of the saw movies]

tldw: in the first movie adam is left locked in the bathroom, still alive but with no way to escape. in the third theres a flashback scene where amanda comes in, checks to see if he's alive, and upon seeing he is she asphyxiates him with a plastic bag

my big issue here is that. there was a chance to have a really good, concise breaking point for amanda's character. she (at least imo) was remourseful while she was killing him and they just did nothing with that

quick sidenote tangent about amandas character; she's very much traumabonded to john/jigsaw. upon getting out she made the connection in her head that jigsaw helped her, because the trap made her go sober.

when she became an apprentice, she was likely manipulated by john into thinking she was important to him on a personal level -- some of this can even be seen in the third movie itself (john giving amanda approval by affirming that she's important to him, but almost immidiately after rescinding it when she doesn't do what he wants)

but it's clear that amanda is like. fully invested in john and sees him as a father to her, or something akin

so back on track. for the bathroom flashbacks, I really really think it would be a really good scene for her arc if she let adam live

it could give her a moment to realize that she doesn't need to do what john says and that she can fight back

not necessarily escaping entirely, but having that power dynamic in her head shift a little by her realizing her autonomy

after adam is out, she lets those feelings sit for a while. doesn't really do anything with them until the end of the movie

on the standoff between lynn and amanda i would have loved it if she just shot john and not just because i hate him

it would be a last ditch act to have her own power and to not be controlled by him anymore. she shoots him, and he dies

of course this means that lynn would die too, and jeff would probably still kill amanda but at least it would be a satisfying death, knowing that even though she's dead she didn't die wholly helpless. if that makes sense

3- IT'S NOT-SAMWISE!!! he is almost a samwise gamgee!! but not quite!!! it's ok tho, nobody could ever REALLY compare to THE samwise gamgee. this lesser samwise is good enough!!! i liked how willing samwise was to adopt a random baby whose mother he met exactly ONCE, that was quite sweet of him. hope everything works out for him and jill or whatever and junior. good lot them 😌 (note: during the earlier seasons, i wanted him and redux jesus (then simply called ned stark's bastard) to MAYBE run away from snow gaol and kiss each other. but in the end samwise met jill and they seem very happy together!! pity about egret. maybe redux jesus should kiss that viking man instead. tormod ruadh or whatever. idk that's a viking name, right?? :P)

4- OH THIS GUY. ok i know. i love your replies to the writer’s ask! about the compliment you gave yourself, yes. i do agree. i’m trying to recall which HQ fanfic of yours i first read. i’ve read so many of your works from that era. as i’m sieving through my memories, a few works of yours pop up like kageyama & the world responding?? daichi’s story with the prompt on goodbyes? adore the way you hook and drag. without looking at your masterlist, which story immediately comes to mind when you think of “time”?

about driving, since i’m still new i haven’t driven much. i’m very excited to cruise on the roads, but i’m also really bad at overtaking (i.e. i can overtake—or else how would i have passed my driving test—but i haven’t done it when cars are going fast & when it’s crowded… road conditions for my test were milder). it’s scary… SJDJSJDJSJ. i’ll hopefully be driving soon with my parent who can instruct me. i think for the time being, as i get used to the car, i have to focus, but i look forward to blasting music while driving 👍 — @anonymilk

IRL character dev bro. am i just into the Greenest of Green Flags now. not that i dont still adore kagehina bc i do. u__u they are my babies.

in terms of "time" -- i think the one that comes to mind most immediately is the hinata "length of daylight" fic i wrote! it remains one of my fav hinata fics i've written to date :D

re: agha shahid ali YES oh my god okay. i love his stuff. i actually found him when i saw a poem of his on the new york subway lol im not even kidding. and it still remains one of my favorite poems of his to this day -- it's called Stationary, and it goes like this:

The moon did not become the sun. It just fell on the desert in great sheets, reams of silver handmade by you. The night is your cottage industry now, the day is your brisk emporium. The world is full of paper. Write to me.

i think the reason i fell so in love with it is because every single line is so vivid. not to say that most of his other poems aren't like this as well but like. idk something about this just spoke to me so much? i love love love metaphors about like irl things turning /into/ paper or ink or like... writing-related stuff. it's just such a beautiful image to me. also like there's a phrase in every line that strikes me "reams of silver", "brisk emporium" -- and something about the sentence "the world is full of paper" makes me like want to yell bc it's so??? GOOD??? bc yes!!! the world is full of paper!!!!!

and obviously, the ending just SMACKS you doesn't it? write to me. ugh. UGH. ugh its so good.

and now for some not so fun stuff. tw for like... ilness and death but yeah uh.

this entire summer has just been kind of ass tbh??? like. during the single month of july, we had 4 people in my family/friend circle pass away -- 2 grandparents, 1 uncle, 1 friend of a friend (who was literally only 24yrs old!!! bruh!!!! WTF!!!). we thought August was going to be chiller, but nope. last day of Aug, last thursday, my boss's wife passed away after battling with cancer for 2+ years.

it hit hard for our entire team at work bc like. she was younger than my mom. and my boss is such an industry veteran, and he and his wife have been married for 17 years, they have a 13yr old son like... it just sucked all around. we all went to the funeral this past wednesday. it was a beautiful service, but obviously really freaking sad. half our entire office was there, everyone was crying. i was crying like. it was a mess.

and then right after, i think my body had had ENOUGH of this nonsense, and i got a really bad fever literally ONE HOUR after i got home from the funeral. and i've been sick since then.

it's just been... unreasonably rough... i'm really hoping that this is the last big bad thing that's gonna happen for the rest of the year. like. im so exhausted -- pls @ the universe LOL. take it easy on us okay.

so yeah. i try to keep the heavy stuff off this blog bc it's supposed to be a place where i come to be happy and write things that make me happy so i haven't talked about this much but u__u since you asked, i didn't wanna just be like "oh yeah everything is fine" when it's not LOL
