I probably have the most to say about Rabid but all try to make it a bit shorter. besides being the first artist to do art jokes and include me, with we also became mutuals and interacting around a time when my life started to get a lot better. Even if she's not the only factor in that I definitely associate her with stuff improving, and she did play a big factor in it (I already explained a lot on my Valentine's Day gift to her and the others). Also she's just an awesome person to spend time with and be goofy, amazing sense of humor and I just love being friends with such an awesome person and artist.

One of the first people who was interested to deep dive into my creations and ask about my stories and worlds They're probably competing with Rabid with how much I have to say about her/silly. Tagging whoever would like to do this - I'm just home from work on a Sunday, so only light tasks for my brain please.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

I've never been the type who enjoyed killing off their Sims, so I haven't been very interested in the various death-types. Years ago I've seen someone reply to this question "the mummy curse, because of the darkening vision effect and the sandy death-animation and ghost". This inspired a generation of my gameplay legacy, but I manipulated it so the Sim turned into a mummy instead of dying.

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?

Maxis match, especially for clothing. I like the clear silhouettes of MaxisMatch clothing and I think they work best with most animations.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

In gameplay I prefer to achieve weight-changes the natural way. In storytelling of course I make the characters the way I need them.

Do you move objects?

In storytelling always, in gameplay sometimes to decorate.

Favorite Mod?

The technically obvious answer is NRaas because the game is literally unplayble without them. I love how many gameplay mods are being released these days.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

For every Sims game I was a bit late to the party and waited until it came with a pets expansion. This and Seasons. The world is not complete without animals and seasons.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

As @nocturnalazure said, I understand it as "we're live now". It's called "Live-Modus" in German and in a German word that's the only way "live" is pronounced.

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

I still think the cast of Of Chevalry are the best Sims I've ever made. I don't see characters' faces very clearly in my head, but these really turned out the way I hazily imagined them.

I like the braided updo from the basegame. I use a lot of EA hair actually, especially for male Sims.

Favorite life stage?

Depends. For babies, toddlers, and to some extend children, I wish there were more content and gameplay in the actual game. On the other hand, this makes it fun to make mods for them. Teens and elders I wish were more different from adults, and I wish the developers had gone the extra step and made all clothing available teen-to-elder, like in Sims 4. In my stories I try to show my characters' development in whatever age they currently are.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I'm not a very good builder. My best own buildings are square and simple.

Are you a CC creator?

I dare say.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

I feel really old when I think of all my mutuals who are no longer active. Around 2015 there were so many historical and storytelling Sims 3 simmers! Sometimes I think of their stories and how they might have continued...

Until last year there was a cardboard plumbob hanging next to our family-computer. But we finally realized every family member has their own computer now, so we removed that office corner.

Do you have a YouTube for sims?

I do, but it only has a handful of three-second screen-captures from my game. At one point tumblr's video upload didn't work, so I linked them from youtube.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

It changed a lot. I always played a historic game, but I was much more eclecticist in the beginning. Of course also new cc came out, and I started using lighting mods and later poses. And I switched from gameplay to storytelling.

ngl, i think that the show ended and part of my soul kinda died with it too. for some reason, not fully lnown to myself yet either, i can't look forward to any media and/or event anymore. not really. "curious" would be the correct word, and that's as far as i can get at this time, honestly. will i ever move on? no, probably not. am i being annoying? this is super boring but i love death by electrocution bc once in high school i played this super successful family, super functional, great kids, wonderful parents, and the mom died while trying to fix a dishwasher and it DEVASTATED me. no sims death has affected me that much it was insane.

I have a very laidback, "anything goes" approach to roleplaying. This is very much a hobby for me and I am not here for any sort of pressure, drama, or anything else that makes either party stress out about something that's supposed to be fun for both of us. MY MUSE IS EXTREMELY SPORADIC. I go where it takes me, often hyperfixate, and openly favor/prioritize interactions with my affiliates (people I talk to most ooc and who I know for a fact GET these things). I LOVE having multiple threads going with someone because it gives me more wiggle-room if my fickle muse doesn't want to cooperate with a specific thread at that point in time - but yes, this means I may respond to things wildly out of order or answer newer stuff despite owing replies to other things. i may take several weeks or months to reply to a given thread. i may like meme or starter calls even if i'm "not caught up on things" (or even post my own. sometimes i need a fresh wave of inbox stuff to shake me out of writer's block ruts. it's not personal and it does not mean i'm ignoring older ongoing stuff - i encourage you to send memes or inbox stuff if you want to try to nudge my muse awake.) On the flip side, I myself am very laid back and I will never pester you for "timely" responses, won't be offended by dropped threads, etc. I just know that this isn't everyone's vibe and want to be as upfront about it as possible. Hii! so I have a question (may be a dumb one), If I sent a DM asking someone if they wanted to rp with me, but they haven't answered in days, should I take the hint or would it be annoying if I went ahead and sent an ask?

no such thing as a dumb question, my love! now, as always, i'm only one person, this is only my opinion, some may disagree, you all know the drill! but honestly, this is a particularly good question in relation to all the unwritten etiquette that does be going on in the rpc!

my own answer would be that, personally, i'm an absolute atrocity when it comes to answering dms. it's humiliating, i know i owe people dms on this blog, and this ask reminded me, so i'll be dming people with sheepish apologies after this!! but i digress. i wouldn't think sending an ask is annoying! make sure to check their rules to see if they're exclusively mutuals only, and see if you're mutuals or not, but if that all checks out, there's no problem with sending in an ask!!

the other side of this is that, if you are mutuals, it's pretty much a given that they'll be wanting to write with you and get to know you better! you don't ever need to worry about asking that kind of thing! you can ask about plotting, because sometimes people just like to plot out stuff, or they might prefer to improvise, but i promise you, if you're mutuals, they wanna write with you!! don't be letting anyone or anything tell you different!

tl;dr: you're not going to be annoying anyone by sending an ask. sometimes people are busy, or forgetful, or distracted, and dms don't get read or responded to. trust that they'll exercise their own boundaries if they don't want to write with you, and for the love of god, PLEASE know that it's very much okay to exercise your own boundaries in the same way!

rpc: role play community! aka this lovely section of tumblr we're all trying to navigate!

mutuals: so if you've followed someone, and they're also following you, that makes you mutuals! many blogs are exclusively mutuals only, but i know there's a few that don't exercise that rule!

mutuals exclusive: people who are exclusive, or exclusively mutuals only, will ONLY write with people who they are mutuals with.

plotting: so sometimes, when people want to write together, they like to plot out an idea for a thread together. this can be as detailed or as vague as you like! sometimes i just like to ask my mutuals "angst or fluff?" and god help us all if they choose the former!

thread: the entire writing interaction! so from the moment you're tagged in a starter, to the moment you both decide the plot has run its course, and it's time to call it quits or start a new one!

what will it take for you guys to realize that ff writers are human too. they are not less than any writer out there.. they put so much time, care and effort into their every word. heck, even reaching 1k words are hard for some,, we had to consider things before actually writing them down. we had to string each word, sentence, paragraph smoothly so it could have an elegant flow. and more often than never, we would overthink whether the emotions we portrayed in those stories actually resound within the readers. those are no easy tasks y'know.

just because we hid behind an idols name doesnt mean that we're associating them with those stuffs. NO. they're here as placeholders. their character that we saw thru screen is what we based it on; how they talk, act, etc. we do that because writing a character from scratch took too much and we would've given up halfway. it's not as easy as you think. but with idols or any other ff characters for that matter, we could freely explore. the base line for their personalities and actions were already drawn out, and we just need to think of a plot + how to build their character into something readers would enjoy.

even the most basic task of 'read to learn more abt this particular thing' proved to be hard. It's not just abt reading and dumping it all into our writings. we need to turn those information into our personal writing style w/o negating anything.

take writing an au for example,, it took a lot of research. why? cause we want the readers who are not familiar with those kinda stuff to experience the same euphoria, we would like them to feel as if they are able to picture being a painter/dancer/etc.

so please, please look past all those paradigms and appreciate us, ff writers ( every single fandom ). if you dont like the way we wrote things and such, please just ignore them or even block our blog ffs. would it kill to hit the block button? i mean, sending hurtful asks require more effort. why would you go through such lengths?

anyways, to all ff writers out there.. i am really thankful for all of the works you've create. and,, im sure someone out there will agree.

3. Who/what inspires your graphics/gifs?

I mean, just the groups I'm more into at the moment! I generally do stage gifs so it's just about whoever is having a comeback and if the lighting is cooperative; it really is that simple. Lately it's harder because I don't have a lot of free time anymore. As for my graphics, I just look around on pinterest and deviant art and kinda of make... a conglomerate of a few ideas and do my best to twist and tweak to make it look like something I'm proud of! It's very rare that I just have random inspiration unfortunately. But I won't say it never happens!

4. What do you enjoy about making gifs/graphics?

It's a good creative escape when I have time, it allows me to put some art down on something when I don't have motivation to draw or paint which used to be my go-to creative outlets. Digital art through gifs and graphics, however, is a lot less frustrating in many ways because accidents or things you don't like are more easily undo-able. I won't say it's a stress reliever, because it's not for me, but it is something fun I generally enjoy doing.

6. Favorite graphics and/or gif creators.

Oh man there's so many talented people out there I really look up to. Most of them I found in the deobi fandom people like @hwqll, @cchanhees (tagging them bc we're mutuals, hello lovelies) but also people like @/seulphoria and @/scoups, have done some really wonderful graphics. @/taeminnomuyeppeo .... I am so inspired by their coloring I think it's some of the most beautiful honestly. @xiaojvn also has beautiful coloring. Honestly every creator on this site has so much to offer. (me wishing I was on dash more to see everyone's beautiful stuff....)

7. Favorite graphics/gifs by someone else.

@anyhao's AU series is PHENOMENAL. I would link them all here but please just go to their blog and look them up because they're MWAH amazing and sooo creative! Anything with animations, again I'll mention Han because she was the whole reason I started working on animations in the first place. I just think they add so much to some graphics. This so is not very specific but honestly if I was to link every gif/graphic by another creator that I've just absolutely loved... there would be thousands of links on here.

21. How much time do you spend on a single graphic/gif?

I think the longest I've ever spent on a single set of gifs is probably two hours; if it's any longer than that I have a tendency to just throw it away.
