This is something @ray-green-wicked4good and I came up with... I'm not sure how it started. Somehow we decided that Ben is the kind of guy who would have a kitten. Like, he'd just be working in the subtrain one day, where he hears this impossible mewing. And he finds this mucky little thing. Tawny. Whif teefies. And clawses. And he's so confused because cats are supposed to be extinct. Maybe it's a trap? Maybe it's a bomb? But who would put a bomb in a kitten?

so Junghwan is known for his perseverance and dedication (*cough* thank you kprofiles for the info) and this song is clearly about just that! the song reminds you to take breaks though like... pls do not work yourself until you die! but anyways, Junghwan is GRIND because of how hardworking he is... also the song’s vibe just really reminds me of Junghwan? that probably makes no sense but it just does... seriously though, just like the song says, i hope Junghwan remembers to take breaks! and you, reader, take breaks too!!

so absolutely no one asked but i want to explain myself via this set for reasons that are mostly selfish and self-indulgent and because i like talking to hear myself talk. so please feel free to ignore me completely but i’m gonna wax poetic for a moment about stars and jihoon. 

i love constellations. i love looking at the stars more than anything in the whole world; i could stay outside on a clear night for hours and not get bored looking at the same part of the sky because there’s just nothing like it. it’s incomparable. so it comes to me one night that “hey i like constellations so much, why don’t i go through the list and see if i could make something interesting by combining my love for stars and my complete enamor-d-ness with jihoon.” research begins! 

i found vulpecula, sagittarius (which is a given bc of his birthday), pictor, sculptor, eridanus, fornax, circinus, and caelum. 

now, pictor, sculptor, and caelum are of the same cloth; they represent the easel, the sculptor’s tools, and the graving tool (or the chisel) respectively. i felt like these were tied to jihoon in that he is a creator. he makes music tirelessly, seemingly effortlessly (though we know that’s not true because he works so hard to bring us music that he’s proud of), and selflessly. so that he should be connected to each of these creative-named constellations seemed like a no-brainer. 

i picked vulpecula because... well, one because i like foxes and again, i said this was a selfish endeavor in the first place, but two; because jihoon’s personality reminds me of foxes quite a bit. foxes are quick-witted, dorky lil fluffballs and i’m not sure i haven’t described jihoon in the exact same way in some tags here on tumblr once or twice. plus he’s got those sharp lil canine teefies that always make him look fox-ish to me when he smiles real big. he’s smart, he’s got an attitude (not in a bad way!), and he’s got an aloof independent-ness about him that reminds me of sweet lil foxes. 

sag is his star sign, so of course he had to have that one. sag is the archer, and i think of it like this; how many times has he “hit the bullseye” as it were when it comes to seventeen’s music? sag is nice, sag explains itself. 

eridanus is ‘the river’. the constellation itself houses the 9th most luminous star in the entire sky which first of all, don’t start with me. (what a bright guy, our jihoon!) the real reason i picked this one, though is because of his dancing. he’s very fluid when he moves, look at me being original. BUT IT’S TRUE! DON’T DENY IT! watch him dance in any dance practice but especially in the light a flame choreo most recently and in the fear mv (where he’s sideways. you know the shot). our guy was originally gonna be in performance team, don’t forget. and i mean, you know, this entire solo performance which TO THIS DAY hecks me up. 

fornax is ‘the furnace’ and jihoon radiates warmth. have you ever seen this man interact with fans? i’ve seen people call him closed off and cold, but i will fight someone if you believe he’s anything but sweet and soothing, albeit a little awkward sometimes around us. he’s got a natural bit of shyness in his personality. also, watch how he is with his members (and no i’m not forgetting that he physically fought hoshi once but that’s part of his warm ass lil charm). he loves those 12 boys with everything his big huge heart can muster and you can tell it without even looking at him. warmth.

finally circinus, ‘the compasses’. hello vobo, vocal line leader, member of the leader line! this man has his own gravity field and once you’re in it, you can’t get out. people are drawn to him like a compass is drawn to the north. HENCE! (look what i did there! okay i’ll stop being corny i promise!)

so some neat little things that Jamie has now, that they perhaps didn't use to:

jamie always had fairly good vision, even at night. before, it was never super noticeable, but now its shockingly good. the downside is that a, Jamie's eyes reflect at night, and also their vision can be distracting. it's made to be hypersensitive to movement with a wider peripheral vision than is strictly normal. between that and their superior hearing, Jamie is very easily distracted and can be downright jumpy.

speaking of, they have scary good hearing. this can also be overwhelming, given how loud the environment is. even the buzzing of the electricity in the walls can get to be too much, and there are few things jamie hates more than repetitive beeping ( hospitals are more of a nightmare than normal ) and loud, sudden noises. they also have a distaste for the sound of horns, but thats more to do with the wild hunt than their hearing particularly.

jamie always knows when food is ripe and when its gone off, though how accurate it is varies by season. in the late summer and early autumn, its down to the minute or even second on a good day. in spring, its within a few hours to a day. in the winter, its within a day or two.

jamie has sharp teefies and a strong bite! they've also got slightly stronger nails that leave a nasty scratch. thankfully, nail trimmers still work. unfortunately, they have to be very careful not to make himself bleed. nail trimmers are steel, after all.

jamie can no longer lie. they aren't actually aware of this. when living life in ignorance as a human, they could lie though they weren't particularly fond of it. for the last 2 years jamie has found themself lying less and less, uncomfortable with the idea of it and finding it makes them lazy anyways ( fey can't lie, so by choosing not to lie they're better at learning linguistic gymnastics.) however, as of now due to choices and acceptances, they're physically incapable of knowingly speaking an untruth just like any other fey. they won't know this until the next time they try.

sarcasm is still fair game though. so is story telling, quoting, and singing. those are things people typically know and understand to be untrue.

(followup to the food question) Imagine Henry getting frustrated because he can't open a can of bacon soup with his hands the way they are, so he just ends up shoving one end of it into his mouth and biting down as hard as he can. His new sharp teeth pierce the metal with ease, and he just tilts the can back and drains it in a matter of seconds. Once it's empty, he crushes the can in one hand and tries to ignore how unnaturally easy that was to do.

Sharp teefies good for opening things. 

Henry definitely doesn’t love the monster aspect of himself... 

He’s especially not gonna love finding out a certain little detail about how all the pentagram/curse stuff works...

Things I struggle with:

(aka: things having a caregiver to remind me about would be helpful for) 💚 taking regular showers (I've been averaging 2 a week....) 💚 taking meds (even with an alarm, I dun wanna move....) 💚 brushing teefies 💚 going to bed at a good time (I work earrrrly so need to go to bed early, but doin' stuff!!) 💚 cleaning up around couch (I spend a lotta lot of time on couch so it's nest-y and comfy, but also messy.....) I think tha's about it.... maybe other stuff? Idk. Musing.... I ignore these things a lot and rn I'm thinking more cuz being active again and...I dun like that I was always cg and only times I tried being little I was ignored....which is already a trigger 😭idk.... sad thinkings....
