El colectivo Murs de bitàcola desea ilustrar episodios significativos de la historia de los barrios de sus pueblos y ciudades con el firme propósito de emplear la cultura y el arte urbano como una herramienta sociopedagógica que contribuya a la construcción y fortalecimiento de la propia identidad recuperando la historia. Este mural se titula "La protesta de los cubos", con motivo del 20 aniversario del Taller Mujeres con Memoria, y que evoca la protesta del balde, uno de los episodios imborrables de la memoria popular y colectiva de Vilanova y la Geltrú. En 1965, durante la dictadura de Franco, ante la escasez del agua, un grupo de mujeres se presentó ante el ayuntamiento con cubos vacíos para exigir un derecho esencial como es el acceso el agua.
