Ubicada en la plaza de las Nieves, al término de la rambla de la Pau, en Vilanova i La Geltrú, está la Iglesia de Sant Antoni Abat y la Mare de Déu de les Neus, un templo católico de estilo barroco y neoclasicista, cuya construcción inicial, entre 1670 y 1706, de acuerdo al proyecto de Fray José de la Concepción, comenzó con el campanario barroco, que está separado de la iglesia. Dada la guerra de Sucesión, la iglesia comenzó a erigirse intermitentemente en 1734. Aún así el antiguo templo fue derribado y no se concluyó el templo actual hasta 1831, pero la fachada de Sant Antoni se acabó en 1879. Frente a una pequeña y acogedora plaza del mismo nombre se encuentra la iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción, en la esquina donde confluyen carrer de La Llibertat y carrer de l'Immaculada Concepció, a unos 13 a 15 minutos del paseo marítimo de la ciudad, recorriendo carrer de Gas. El 14 de mayo de 1854 se colocó la primera piedra de la que sería la nueva iglesia marinera, cuyos principales trabajos culminaron en el verano de 1859; y fue en 1890 cuando se inauguraron las obras de la fachada y de la torre-campanario y, al año siguiente, 37 años después, fueron bendecidas las cuatro nuevas campanas e izadas en sus ventanales. Desde el punto de vista arquitectónico, considerado el tiempo y la época de construcción, la iglesia posee un carácter ecléctico, propio de las corrientes neorrománticas de la segunda mitad del S. El colectivo Murs de bitàcola desea ilustrar episodios significativos de la historia de los barrios de sus pueblos y ciudades con el firme propósito de emplear la cultura y el arte urbano como una herramienta sociopedagógica que contribuya a la construcción y fortalecimiento de la propia identidad recuperando la historia. Este mural se titula "La protesta de los cubos", con motivo del 20 aniversario del Taller Mujeres con Memoria, y que evoca la protesta del balde, uno de los episodios imborrables de la memoria popular y colectiva de Vilanova y la Geltrú. En 1965, durante la dictadura de Franco, ante la escasez del agua, un grupo de mujeres se presentó ante el ayuntamiento con cubos vacíos para exigir un derecho esencial como es el acceso el agua. Vista del exterior de la Biblioteca Museo Víctor Balaguer, fundada en 1884, por el mismo Balaguer. Vistas del modesto interior de la Iglesia de Sant Antoni Abat y la Mare de Déu de les Neus, de su altar mayor o principal, así como de algunas de sus capillas. Sus frescos y vitrales son de mediados del siglo pasado, muy recientes en contraste con la antigüedad de casi todo el templo. Destacan tres murales del artista Luciano Navarro Rodon: dos de ellos, presiden el altar mayor con dos escenas: la multiplicación de los panes y la Boda de Caná, y el tercer mural es una representación de la Santa Cena, ubicado en la capilla del Santísimo.
