Noodle Feed by iheartblob @ Winter Stations 2020 by A Great Capture Noodle Feed goes beyond physical senses and creates a shared augmented reality environment where people can interact in new ways and consider that the world is much more than we perceive. The colourful forms and tangible nature of the ‘noodles’ are designed to attract attention, while the rough matte texture of recycled sailcloth contrasts with the soft, springy cushioning of the objects, inviting visitors to move them into chairs, beds and shelters. An Augmented Reality App lets visitors leave digital traces of their time at the installation, including photos, stories and drawings that can be seen by other users in physical space. Towards a new reality! Modify your everyday world, we have got the tools for it. Architects are slowly evolving from physical space designers to reality designers. With the expanding market of wearable technology we will be able to have everyday world customisation at our fingertips. Intuitive, customisable surroundings would inherently change the way we think and perceive the world. While being in the same physical space people could be perceiving it differently though digital realm. Are we losing touch with the real world or evolving into a new, hybridised one?

iheartblob avails itself of a new visual vocabulary of architecture. Here designs are visualized not in the form of ground plans and sections. Instead, renderings, mixed-reality objects (which are depicted physically and in augmented reality) and animations are the media which reflect the legacy of the mathematician Lagrange. Visually, but also on the basis of short theoretical texts, the book facilitates new discussions about the contemporary theoretical and cultural framework – and thus also about the “crisis of philosophy” faced not only by architecture. While the theoretical framework here invokes the principles of object-oriented ontology, in a subsequent step it attempts to unravel the theoretical principles of postmodernity and poststructural formalism.
