ANYWAY litte recap on Ilya:

Yeah he really is just some guy. He's the only athlete really in his family. One of his older sisters ran track in high school, but otherwise their family is full of musician. Dad is a middle school orchestra teacher, mom is a music professor, his sisters all went into the arts. He can play a, quite frankly, ridiculous amount of instruments and he enjoys them all but he's not particularly passionate about it.

His parents signed him up for little league exy because he saw exy on the tv once and wouldn't shut up about it/was begging them to play. His parents just wanted all of their kids to be happy so they caved very quickly and Ilya developed an intense passion for the sport that obviously never went away.

Ilya's oldest sister (Liliya) is 7 years older than him, the other one 4 years older (Kateryna or just Kat), and the sister after (Tanya) that only a year and a half older. They're all incredibly close despite any age gaps while also very much having a dynamic of lovingly bullying each other

Ilya kind of always knew he was trans and they were always in a safe space to express it. His parents used to joke that they had "3 girls and an Ilya" and they didn't even bat an eye when as a kid he went straight for the "boys clothes" and asked to be called a prince instead of a princess and only responded to being called a boy. At school it was different, in elementary school other kids didn't care but the teachers could be weird about it, and then as a teen other kids started getting mean about it. But his parents and their sisters were always accepting and they filled their house with enough love that Ilya never thought about being closeted or pretending to be someone he wasn't.

He gets recruited to Penn State's team as their starting goalkeeper as an openly trans athlete. His team's respectful for the most part. There are some people who just don't seem to get it, but they're never outright rude or transphobic to him. There are sometimes snide remarks and something Not Cool said on accident and Ilya is always quick to correct it and most of his teammates are decent enough to apologize and try to do better

And he talks A Lot about being a trans and generally queer athlete. He's happy to be one of those people out and proud for everyone who can't be. Ilya has always, unapologetically, taken up space. Not even focused on his queerness, just in the way he exists as a person. If he's in a room you're going to know he's there and you're probably going to know their every thought as well.

They care a lot and they take everything to heart. They're very much a "don't cry cause you'll make me cry" type of person. He's much more willing to take on people's pain and share their burdens than he probably should be.

And he has zero filter. While he's absolutely paving the way as a queer athlete and he has a lot to say to the press about that his press time also has to be limited because he will just say shit. He has insulted other teams, insulted specific players, shared information that he definitely shouldn't have, said "fuck" on camera too often to keep count, and a lot more. He is keeping the Penn State vs Edgar Allan Ravens twitter discourse alive and well with all the shit that comes out of his mouth

He makes his best friend his junior year. She's a sophomore named Alice and she's a defensive dealer. Her sophomore year she comes as trans, MTF, and Ilya is the first person she tells becuase he's one of the only queer people she knows. After that they're pretty much attached at the hip and Ilya would kill and die for her. Her family isn't super accepting so he takes her home with him for the holidays. His family becomes hers and they're more than happy to add one more girl to the family.

Ilya makes court right after he graduates and it's with Jude, Em, Mara, Florian. you know the drill at this point. They're the ones I never shut up about. And I think I'll largely be repeating myself and I don't want to be annoying with that so we'll stop there

Some other fun things about Ilya though:

he never learned how to ride a bike. he will never ride a bike. fuck no (he fell over and scraped his knee once and despite all the balls to the head playing exy that was his breaking point for some reason and he never got on a bike again)

he's a cat person

he teaches Florian ASL and it's the main they talk to each other cause Florian likes to go nonverbal

they were such a huge fan of Jude it took everything in them to not be starstruck when the two first met

the two instruments they stuck with were the violin and the piano

they have an addiction to strawberries

is almost always playing jazz music on a vinyl when they're home/have people over

he has a shitty autograph and Flor has begged him to "get better handwriting" since he signs so much stuff but he's fine with it being an unreadable disaster (Florian's autograph in comparison is gorgeous)

he is an unapologetic foxes stan after they win finals

So.... guess who started playing FFXIV... (free trial ofc) which meaaannnsss I have a new OC to be insane over.

Her name is Elysia Vespera, a runaway Au Ra who abandons her noble family in Hingashi to travel the world

Her real name is Akari Shimizu, her older brother, Soma, sits at the head of their family ever since their father died from sickness. Don't worry, she doesn't care lol. She resents her family for pitting her against her brother and ultimately trying to marry her off against her will.

Anyways, kind of not happy with the in game hairstyles so this is how I draw her

She's kinda vain lol. She grew up a noble so she very much still has that princess like, "I get everything I want" disposition. Very into fashion and jewelry, she is simply Eorzea's itgirl. She's also a white mage as you can tell by the first image, so she does ofc still care abt other people.

In particular, she's BFFs with @asoundofdrop's OC Saji

Timeline's a mess but basically they come as a duo do not separate them plz. They're the best tank and healer duo anyone could ask for :D. They go through the MSQ together (we're both still on A Realm Reborn rn that shit is LONG) and there are timelines where either one of them dies when the Scions get attacked by Livia Junius but we're not getting into that rn <3

Anyways onto character relationships so far:

Drop is whipped as all hell for Thancred so Saji x Thancred is a thing and Elysia is not particularly thrilled about it lol. Her and Thancred don't exactly get along lmao. Elysia just kinda thought he was a fuckboy at first but they begin to get along after they save Thancred from Lahabrea. She still bullies him though.

I like to think her and Y'shtola get along very well, like just two girlies that could kill you <3. Except ik Y'shtola becomes a black mage later on so she would not be thrilled about the whole sitting inside AOEs thing... (i am kinda playing with making them a thing bc Y'shtola is kinda 👀 and would put Elysia in her place...)

Now, Elysia's egotistical ass LOVES a man that is absolutely down bad for her. Thus, Haurchefant. I'm not gonna lie to you I am ashamed to admit that I am quite down bad for Haurchefant after seeing him for all of five minutes in ARR. To the point where I spoiled (some) of the story for myself so shut up I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS ;-;. They're kinda knight x princess dynamic and I am so insane abt them you don't understand. You should see my discord messages. Anyways uh Haurchefant falls first but Elysia falls harder that is all you need to know. Also, size difference.

Anyways I'm having lots of fun with FFXIV and my new child <3. I love her to bits and I can't wait to lewd and/or traumatize her.

ooh i feel like both of them cause drama but extremely not on purpose.

Fuller is the topic of many arguments btwn Aunor and Ikora, but she a) doesn't know that b) wouldn't particularly care if she did, unless it started curtailing her ability to Do Research. she knows Aunor dislikes her, and knows she is on her shitlist by the constant parade of chaperones/potential assassins that each handle about a month in the Hellmouth with Fuller before begging for reassignment lmfao, but it's not a point of pride for her or anything, she just kind of starts from the assumption that Nobody Understands Her Genius (crimes against humanity and nature), and so if someone doesn't come out of the gate disliking her it's a rare occurrence. she doesn't really respect anyone enough to care about what other people think even enough to like... contrarily get joy out of messing with people (until she starts caring about what Hapax thinks of her!!! uh oh!!! girl who has never experienced meaningful rejection or wanting to change her behavior because of the way it affects someone else about to have her world turned upside down!!! i think at some point she manages to genuinely piss Hapax off/hurt her enough that Hapax like, Leaves for a while. and Fuller is like. what is this horrible sensation. am i sick. should i kill myself. (its guilt))

the only other people who she really hangs out with (pre-Hapax) are her ghost Celadon (happy enabler and credited co-author on her (unpublished) papers) and Toland, who finds Fuller to be the most annoying motherfucker on the planet and thinks she does not regard the Sword Logic (or him) with the reverence it is due. i think she and Eris have probably talked but im not sure what their relationship looks like. probably equal amounts of appreciation from Eris for the Hive-torture, and discomfort with how much Fuller wants to see her Hive eyes lmfao.

as for Hapax, i don't think she causes Drama per se, but she just. Does Not Fit In with the corsairs to the point where complaints make their way to Mara, which is the catalyst for Hapax ending up assigned to babysit Fuller in the first place.

Schiller is like. much much more normal/sociable than her guardian, and kind of regards Hapax the way you would regard your younger sibling who just CANNOT make friends, and so you try to facilitate playdates or let them hang out with your own friends, but it just doesn't work out. she loves Hapax and wants her to be happy but the problem is Hapax just reads like a slightly pissed off blank wall to the vast majority of people. except Fuller. which sucks for Schiller bc Schiller has a normal moral compass and hates the fucking Hellmouth, but also this is the first time she's seen Hapax bond with ANYONE. so now she's stuck in the haunted caves of Luna watching her charge form an inseparable bond with the worlds most annoying mad scientist.

ik we've talked about Strand and Hapax hanging out and i think it would be fun if they interact Before Hapax gets assigned to the Moon and then after (maybe SotHunt? i imagine in the face of that Ikora might let Fuller's leash a little looser tbh, all hands on deck, even creepy ones, to deal with the Wrathborn. though also timeline-wise that'd be a quick turnaround. maybe sotLost.) and Strand gets to see Hapax out of her shell a little bit. and also gets to see Fuller and be like Jesus Fucking Christ why this one.

50. Do they have any insecurities? - As a child she wanted to be a melee fighter like her idol Captain Tanis, but she wasn't cut out for it. She's confident in herself by the time of the story, but if she takes someone under her wing and can't protect them/has to leave them behind, it eats at her.

59. What motivates them? - FAMILY. big time. She played the eldest sister role for many of her adopted siblings in Morrowind, and cares most about looking out for others who don't have anyone else. My favorite thing about her dynamic with Tanis and Martin is that they're twice her age but she immediately goes into Big Sister mode like "Guess I gotta take care of these two idiots, because they won't do it themselves"

For Martin:

28. Who, if anyone, do they dislike the most? - Within the context of the story it would have to be Mankar Camoran, in the way that one's own past flaws are particularly grating when seen in another person. He sees his own youthful hubris taken to an extreme, reflected back to him like a cruel mockery, and it pisses him off to no end. In general he dislikes people who speak thoughtlessly, which is why Tanis rubs him the wrong way at first

42. What's the typical first impression after meeting this person? - Reserved, aloof, standoffish. Also in terms of OC first impressions...I never found a place for this in Idle in their Thrones, but the reason Coradri knows his name is because the Chantry provides bread to the poor living in the slums, and Brother Martin was the only priest who spoke to "her" street urchin kids as.... people.... rather than objects of pity, potential converts, or chances to demonstrate piety.

the first fandom I read a fic for was my chemical romance and it was a gerard x f!oc x frankie and I didn't even know what fanfiction was but I wanted more! 😂
