Out of all my early life stories for Dottore, my favorite by far is not only that he had an oddly supportive mother, but the fact that she's the one who influenced his mad experiments and fascination with gruesome recreations of humans. No one knows she exists, Dottore made sure to bury the location of his home with all who discover it, but her little cottage in the woods is frequented every few months by her highly successful son (who she can't help but brag about to their extended family, her little Zandik is the best scholar on this side of Teyvat). They go on picnics, talk about Dottore's newest experiments, and, of course, bury a body together as mother-son bonding time.

When examining them side by side, Dottore definitely got his looks from his mother. His height was stolen from somewhere else, but he has her eyes, hair, teeth- even if his are a little bit pointier. He always was unapologetically a mama's boy as a child, and still is to this day. Anyone who dares insult or even look at his mother wrong runs the serious risk of becoming his next subject for an excruciating experiment, Il Dottore will not allow disrespect towards his dear old ma'.

His segments practically jump for joy when they get assigned to going to check on "the old coot", she always feeds them well and sends them back with plenty of specimens, snacks, and new clothes, whatever is an old witch to do with her time other than dote on her son and his precious creations? She even calls then her "other sons," which confuses the townspeople when she talks about all twenty-something of them. Everyone's too scared to ask how she acquired that many.

And yes, she's very long lived, Dottore offered her eternal life- which she immediately accepted. Contrary to the "let me die in peace" trope of the elderly, she went completely off the beaten path, might as well extend her life even more than she already has on her own. Terrorizing people is her passion, and why the hell would she chose to die when she can live forever! She can make bank if she lives long enough...

The only unfortunate side effect of Dottore or the segments visiting her regularly is Pantalone finding out. Not only does he pay mother dearest a visit, but he gets some fascinating blackmail material as she is not shy in the slightest, especially when it comes to Dottore's adorable baby pictures. Dottore comes home to find Pantalone sipping on his mother's famous no-sleep-for-weeks coffee, casually chatting about her newest formula for the "love potions" she sells.

Because Pantalone can't resist being smug, he calls Dottore "my dearest Dottie" once and she jumps to all the wrong conclusions. Dottore would correct her, but she's already planning their wedding, and whenever he visits, he's now implored to bring his "attractive fiance" with him. There's no escape, and Pantalone plays along, even worse!

Just wait until she meets the child...

Dottores younger segments have harsh mood swings, and so the lab equipment is extra durable to accommodate his anger issues. Things like glass beakers, rods, and specimen jars are made of extra durable glass in case he throws them. There's stim toys and chews everywhere so he can Try and deal with his emotions healthily. This is all more common in the teen and young adult clones. The older ones have suppressed their emotions so they can do more science™️. He has never gotten violent or angry at you though, he could never. If he hurt you, he'd go insane... well... more insane.

There are only two ways to calm him down when he's like this. Wait or get you. It takes time still, and he's incredibly clingy because his mind is too loud, and he's frustrated, but he calms down. Sometimes his mind is loud in a way that needs to be fucked out of him. It has to be hard rough bordering on too much when he's like this, or else it just adds to his frustrations. Either way once he's finally calm he's exhausted even if you didn't fuck him he's tired that much rage takes everything out of him and he has to nap for like 4 hours.

I really, really love the idea of having Dottore's clones pamper you, anytime of the day

Like personally, I think Dottore knows that sleep and breaks is important when researching and he so he has a schedule for all the Dottore's clones with alternating sleep schedules so there's always at least two Dottores on duty, and another on break

Either way, yeah, basically the Dottore on break, likes to seek you out do stuff with you

You could be chilling in Dottore's room when the door slams open to reveal a cow mask

"Let's have a picnic while watching the experiments!"

They'll drag you around, with no hesitation

Also, the younger Dottore clones are way more impulsive and affectionate, the older ones are flirty and more refined

Younger Dottore's are more likely to call you things like babe and cling to your arms, older Dottore's will call you darling or something like that

Anyways, if you have a nightmare? Just sneak into the break room and tell the Dottore on break that you're having troubles, they'll have a few solutions for you

A/N Wouldn't it be so funny if Dottore's regular mask is actually his cow mask and the one we see in Winter Night Lazzo is the one he has to wears to offical meetings?

At first Dottore didn't allow his Segments to leave their research but that changed when you were sitting in the lab and one of his test subjects managed to get out and pushed the table you where sitting on, it caused you to fall of and break one of your arms.

This mans Segments are just as obsessed with you as he is, when he's not with you one of them certainly are and they aren't leaving unless Prime says otherwise.

As much as people might think this Dottore would never experiment on you. You are to fragile after all, he would never dream of harming your pretty body.

The only times Dottore has allowed you to go out is when the harbingers have too attend a ball. even then you aren't aloud to leave his side lap. Although the few times you've gone Dottore may or may not have added a few bodies to his subject list.

One of those said times a nobleman decided it would be a good idea to try to force you to dance with him, in the process he managed to sprain your wrist. Dottore and his Segments had a fun time with that one.

The Segments favorite thing has always been to cuddle with you, specifically the younger three Kappa, Gamma and Lota. Those three are often the ones who are keeping an eye on you. Although you don't particularly care, they cuddle you and keep you company when Dottore cannot.

You met Pantalone when he was running away from a rich man he just stole money from, you helped him hide from the man and you two became friends, over time you two started to gain feelings for eachother, you two eventually confessed your feelings for eachother and started dating, and dating turned into marriage.

Pantalone is constantly talking about the past, most of it is about how many times you saved him.

Pantalone is always trying to "repay" you because of how many things you did for him in the past, he's constantly protecting you, buying you stuff, and more.

Pantalone always keeps a close eye on you, he's worried something will happen to you, not like stalking wise though, he'll be in your plan of sight, and if you want him to stop he will.

When you and Pantalone go to Liyue he's always afraid that people will recognize you two so he's always keeping you close to him, he'll hold onto your pinky, hold your hand, or wrap a arm around your arm.

Pantalone will try to pick up on your hobbies so you guys can spend more time together because you two are busy with work and don't get to spend much time together that often.

You two met when you found Dottore dissecting a frog and you asked what he was doing. At first, he was rude and pushed you away, but he eventually warmed up to you.

Dottore prefers not to talk about the past, he wasn’t exactly the nicest to you when you first started your friendship, he’s improved massively , but still feels guilty.

Dottore’s clones are constantly asking you to tell them embarrassing stuff Dottore did in his past, then Dottore immediately gets really embarrassed and yells at them to stop bothering you.

He’s a absolute cuddle bug, in private that is, and he has to have all limbs wrapped around you.

His clones are extremely touchy too, when your dating Dottore, personal space doesn’t exist.

If Dottore is working in his lab late, his clones will jump at the opportunity to share a bed with you for the night to stop you "from getting lonely", their actually the lonely ones.

LOVES massages, or just rubs, only from you though, if anyone else even tries, there dead in a heartbeat.

Will only go to events if you’re going. He says it’s to protect you, and while some of it is, he also wants to prevent people from flirting with you, it doesn’t make him jealous, he’s been with you for hundreds of years, he trusts you with his life, he just gets frustrated that such a low life thinks they have a chance with you. He also gets extremely worried that someone will kidnap you because of your beauty, because to him, your beauty is beyond the stars.

Dottore Headcanons - (Male Reader)

June 8, Post 4 of the "30 Days Fanfic Event"

(Mention of corpses, blood, maggots eating the flesh of human corpses, experiments) (Might be OOC, as I don’t really know Dottore)

If you get hurt, just go directly to him! He doesn’t mind stopping his experiments just for you.

Just don’t mind the corpses rotting away, creating a putrid smell in his lab with maggots eating their flesh near you, and you’ll be able to make the time spent in his lab manageable when getting treated by him.

As the second harbinger in the Fatui, he is quite powerful and influential. Anyone who bothers you doesn’t in the first place because they’ll have Dottore smiling at them mischievously, planning an experiment on them.

If someone does bother you regardless, Dottore will… deal with them by using them as test subjects.

As for the clones of Dottore, they all adore and are quite fond of you. The younger clones have a brash way of showing their love, and the older clones have a more refined way of showing love.

Dottore’s younger clones show more emotion, while Dottore’s older clones (try to) flirt seductively.

(It just ends up as him saying you’re hot in every sentence for the older clones because I swear this man has no knowledge of romance lmao,) (or maybe he has the experience, but only with Sohreh without learning anything idk)

Dottore Clone/Segment Headcanons: Part One

-They're just... inherently destructive. DO NOT leave them alone for more than five minutes, there will either be homicide, arson, or war crimes.

-Dottore really hates his younger segments. They're "pathetic" to him. It's not even that they remind him of a painful past or anything, they're just dumb and young and he really hates watching himself do stupid things all over again. It's like getting the past cringe cam before falling asleep at night, except in real time.

-The segments like staring. It's fun to watch people squirm.

-chanting Test tube babies, test tube babies, test tube

-The older clones kind of herd the younger ones around. It's like having siblings, except they have the exact same thought process. So they travel in packs when they leave the lab (which is very rarely, given most of them have work to do).

-The clones have many uses, but their primary function is destruction. As in: burn all Tartaglia's underwear in front of the Tsaritsa's palace ominously at 3am type destruction. It's more of an objective, helping Dottore with his experiments is kind of a second choice.

-Whenever he doesn't want to go to meetings, he just dresses one up as him and tells it to be a smartass. So far, he's skipped 17 meetings and no one has noticed.

-Most clones don't really have names (other than Dottore, their actual real secret name, and their segment number) as it's a pain in the ass, but they have stupid little nicknames that other people give them. Pants man named one of them Royce and now he's forever a changed man.

-They all like annoying Pants. It's probably the only thing they all actively recognize they have in common.

-Most of them don't actually even come close in physical age to their yassified creator. This is both a blessing and a curse, though rumor has it that the clown looking one is the ringleader when Dottore isn't around.

-It's not a cult if it's just you.

-The little itty bitty Dottores are shy. There aren't many to begin with, but you get lucky if you even see one in the lab, let alone outside of it. No one even knew these existed until Pants caught one that got lost trying to deliver a note. It was crying and everything.

It's literally like trying to raise fifty children, except they're all versions of you so it's even worse.

Dottore's a very logical man, so he isn't the best at emotionally understanding why you feel anxious in public, he's definitely effective removing you from the situation

Of course, he isn't so much removing you, as he's scaring everyone away with a few simple words:

He'll pull you under his big fluffy jacket and put your head near his beating heart

"Ignore those fools and focus on me"

If you want to leave the event, he'll go with you
