first choice? definitely mona. i honestly only have a loose idea on how compatibility works, but this would be one of those 'close friends that refuse to talk about each other's feelings' trope because you two hold similar ideals and i honestly see her being curious about alchemy and potion work. i suppose she just approaches you one faithful day, claiming that she heard many of teyvat's citizens praise your work and ever since, you two have been spending much of your time with each other, sharing information about each other's own field of studies and maybe even talking about your personal lives. borderline lives with you at some point because let's be honest, broke ass bitch has been spending all her money on books and has nowhere else to live. you remember the night she knocked on your door and explained how she's been basically sleeping in the streets for the past three days. she had no doubts that you would take her in, judging from the kindness you've shown her so far, but it was still embarrassing to ask you nonetheless. she repays you by helping around the potion shop, ofc.

mona probably falls in love slowly. i honestly see her as a very cynical person so even if she was attracted to you from the very beginning, it wouldn't mean anything to her. she fell in love with the way you would cook her favorite food whenever she got too focused on a task on hand, she fell in love watching you be so passionate about your craft, admiring the way your hands skillfully worked ingredients into the cauldron and the way your eyes furrowed in concentration (mona doesn't even feel like she's there, mona doesn't feel like she even deserves to be there. no, at that very moment, it was just you and your burning dedication to your work.), she fell in love deeper with you everyday and hell, even if she was god awful at small tasks herself, she would choose to mess up and panic with you over anyone else at any given day. it just felt right to be with you, it felt safe, and for once, mona felt like she could let her walls down around someone.

why i think neither of you would tell each other of your feelings until a series of misunderstandings come along? because mona is a very difficult person. she doesn't exactly make it easy to tell whether she actually likes you or not. she gets defensive whenever feeling raw emotions and feels weak and vulnerable when she feels like she's relying on your presence too much. wholeheartedly think you would confess first, though it would take a while because of all the mixed signals. and mona's just a red, blushing, and shocked mess. you like her?? someone as nice and passionate and admirable and wholly lovable as you could ever fall for someone like mona, who barely understood how to treat someone she loves? it would be very in-character of her to pretend that she already knew and act like "ofc, who doesn't love me?" and shit, but i honestly think that at such a vulnerable moment, mona would let her pride down and straight up thank you for ever considering her as somebody worthy of love.

second choice? definitely jean. girl would be down bad, i'm just saying. straight up thought of lisa the moment i saw the word witch because she's literally wearing a witch hat, but then i thought it wouldn't work out, so why not consider her gf as an option? and i honestly just see jean hopelessly pining for you in the sidelines. would definitely visit your little witch shop for work reasons at first, but then you notice her starting to come in almost consistently every week without actually ordering anything. she just stayed for tea and chatted with you for about an hour before she had to leave for her other duties. not that you mind. it was just a bit strange to see from the acting grandmaster, seeing as she probably had more important things to do most of the time. jean probably sees your little shop as a source of relief and your presence even more so relieving. it was just so... peaceful. and quite aesthetic (i have seen your blog, it makes mine look like a dumpster). not in a way that overwhelms her too, your shop felt homey and so did you.

surprise, surprise, confesses to you first because she isn't the kind to let her pride stop her from being completely honest with the people she cares for. if you do choose to be hers and her yours, which is a choice entirely too intimidating considering jean's position in the knights of favonius, it would certainly be a learning experience for you. jean would be such a thoughtful lover, would certainly love helping you out with small tasks, shes good at those and she wants nothing more but to take the stress off of your shoulders. she'll probably learn crocheting with and from you, and maybe with a bit of convincing, even maybe learn how to dance dances from the other nations with you?

and as wholesome and cute as that is, well, things don't really get easier for the two of you. your dedication to your craft and jean's dedication to her job, it's something you both try to understand, jean can relate to your level of passion and you can empathize with how much she cares for mondstadt, but that doesn't mean she doesn't miss you whenever you two have been so busy with other things and you don't feel lonely without her at times. your lives outside of each other honestly causes you two to drift apart, maybe even stop talking for a couple of days, but i have high hopes that you two will communicate well and figure out a compromise.

third and final choice? heizou. if jean is pining from the sidelines, heizou is pining from a tree 6 meters away. something about the "lovable wholesome bean x the person who has a crush on them who is awkward as all hell" trope always gets me going, man. like jean, meets you for reasons completely work related. i've been trying to brew (pun intended, *baDums*) up a case for this one because hell, a criminal case involving a witch's potion shop? one of the coolest things in the world and basically a whole galaxy of opportunities. heizou starts investigating your shop with full skepticism, pegging you as a suspect of some sort. perhaps a rich merchant is found dead from poisoning and some of the lethal ingredients used on the poison can be traced back to you? and so, heizou is just being a giant gremlin in your shop like everytime he sees something he goes "hmmMmm, what's that huh???? pretty sus." and by the end of the day, when you have to kick him out of your shop to go home, he's thinking to himself "they were really nice, too nice. in fact, how can someone be that nice? very suspicious."

after you've proven your innocence when the real killer is actually caught, heizou just comes by your shop on a regular with a new lame excuse every single time. pretends that he's still suspicious of you so he has to visit you almost everyday to keep an eye on you. not for any other reasons, no. a true menace, talks a fucking lot whenever you're making your potions which is very much a problem considering the high standards you have for your potion brewing/alchemy. he learns how to shut up though, seeing how serious you are about your work. probably starts assisting you with your potion work and eventually becomes a part time junior apprentice of some sorts because he's gotta use all that energy somewhere.

probably never confesses to you because he's a fidgety nervous simp and you never confess to him because although he's smart and precise and absolutely good at his job, you see him as too reckless and an absolute gremlin. maybe in a couple of years?

Ohh so k-pop does get overwhelming at times like keeping up with all of their comebacks and activities does take a toll on the psyche 🤧 i took a small break of sorts back in 2021 just to get a breather and instead focus my energy on books :') the whole pandemic situation and the lockdown was beginning to get to me + i had to deal with an academic burnout but !! things are definitely better now.

OKAYY so it took me a lot of time to finalise a bias in nct dream and tbt all nct units unghhh i lobe them all but my nct dream bias as of now is renjun. this man has me wrapped around his finger and activates the heart eyes WDYM HE HAS A PRETTY VOICE HES AN ARTIST HE'S PRETTY HE'S SHARP TONGUED AND HE'S A TOTAL SWEETHEART LIKE HE'S SO CARING 100% BFF/BF MATERIAL :( FDIBCFBN GOD HAS HIS FAVOURITES ALRIGHT and oml don't even get me started w the yangyang and renjun interactions im still reeling from when they did this.

In 127 i have a soft spot for the vocal line lol so i usually bias whoever's in the vocal line for a particular song (DO THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT SO HARD TO CHOOSE THO). rn it's jaehyun bc I'm obsessed w his voice (it's his first few lines in good thing <33)

Oof faded in my last song just hits so hard and it hurts so bad the songs so deep. It's one of my favourite nct u songs that and baby don't like it (again. hoe anthems >>>) for 127 it's either heartbreaker (bc it's hyuck's world and we're just living in it) or good thing (bc jaehyun.) Basically love the limitless era. and for dream okayy i can't really choose but reload and boom era were both crazy good. as for wayv it's after midnight and maybee take off. kpop does get overwhelming sometimes dfkjlas but also i just kind of got bored for a bit so i didnt feel motivated to check up on it in so long,, but now i just found the excitement again and i feel the same i did when getting into it for the first time its so amazing. i got into kpop just before the pandemic started, so it was something that was keeping me going during the lockdowns and shit :) i am glad you're feeling better now, though!

ALBUM REVIEW TIME 👹

Today we are reviewing one of my fave kpop group’s new album MAXIDENT by Stray Kids with the title track Case 143

I just wanna say how I’m so proud of these dudes, they write and produce their own music and their skills get stronger with every release 🫶🏻 anyway on to the review

Case 143 - 7/10 - it’s definitely interesting. I was worried i wasn’t gonna like it all that much based on the snippet on tik tok but it’s much better within the context of the whole song. This song does what they set up in the previous release Maniac and improves upon it. Although the first section of the chorus is jarring, its a huge ear worm and im addicted to it. If Stray Kids were going to do a love song this is exactly how i expected them to do it 😭 (also give the music video a watch you won’t regret it, it’s quite funny, felix gets slapped by a cooked chicken 😀)

Chill - 8/10 - a song written and composed by our Hannie!! His songs are always so nice!! This is a cool jazzy style r&b song. It takes some similarities from lofi music too and some classic hip hop beats and overall its so good. Han’s solo written and composed songs have only improved since debut and i love it so much!!

Give me your TMI - 9/10 - This one is for all my living tombstone fans and fnaf fans!! The crunchy instrumental is everything and the drop into the chorus is so interesting. Also when Changbin starts the song with a strong rap that seems like complete nonsense, you know the songs gonna hit!! But yeah keeping up with hip hop sounds, the incorporate crunchy edm and alternative rock style sounds too and it just makes this song so funky I love it!!

SUPER BOARD - 6/10 - where do i start with this song… the intro itches my brain so hard. The “nada da shooom super board” gets stuck in your head so badly 😭 the song leans into a more rock style but instead of an electric guitar riff, you get these synth sounds and it adds that retro flare to the song. Although the repetition of nada da shoom super board can get a bit annoying and lessens the replay-ability of the song for me

3RACHA (Bangchan, Changbin, Han) - 5/10 - this is well and truly a Drill song. Like this is something straight out of the streets of south london. The raps of our producing unit are satisfying to my ears however this style of music just isn’t my personal taste and i don’t think i would listen to it often. Not a bad song tho ✨also ik chan is australian but im claiming changbin and han as honorary brits for this song

TASTE (Hyunjin, Felix, Lee Know) - 8.5/10 - when Hyunjin described this song as a cold version of red lights he wasn’t wrong. They need to keep this man in the studio his brain is amazing. 4th member of 3racha?? Perhaps. Whenever you put Danceracha (this unit) in the studio expect a hoe anthem honestly. I’m very proud of how Hyunjin and Felix’s vocals have improved. Lee Know really gets to use his more powerful vocals and that makes me so happy!! Also the drop in this song is insane. Listening to it isn’t enough i need it shot into my veins 😭

Can’t Stop (Seungmin, I.N) - 7/10 - my vocalracha 🫶🏻 this is a pop rock style song. They worked with one of day6’s producers for this track which you can tell!! But it suits them so much!! Seungmin and innie’s voices are so lovely the drums and guitars are so strong. You will absolutely catch me dancing about to this song 😭 however i will say that the mixing between the vocals and the instrumental feels a bit off. Idk how to explain it. Also they cut off Seungmin’s high note, gonna sob.

Circus (Korean version) - 8/10 - This was the title track for their lastest Japanese mini album so i’ve heard if before. Its a bop. But I will say i think the korean version flows a lot better between the english lines and the korean ones. Where as the Japanese version felt a little too sharp?? But yeah Circus would slay is every language if we’re honest
