hi hi hi!! My name is Karma! I am a very lazy writer, cinematographer and a 🗄️. I go by any pronouns since rn my identity is a freaking mess.

I always go for the underdogs (since it’s 2023 and i am so quirky lmao). I am a major fantasy lover, as well as a true crime enthusiast. I recently started playing HPMA and I am absolutely obsessed.

I can write x any!readers, x any!ocs and simple canon character fanfics/hcs. I can only be asked to draw small blurbs because my art style is that out of hand.

I do all that for…

- HPMA (because how could I not)

- The Magicians (best show ever)

- Top Gun (86’+M) (it’s the NAVY)

- Sherlock BBC (the eye contact)

I draw the line at sensitive topics such as the naughties (especially triggering naughties), incest, furries (im not that sorry)… yk. The stuff people don’t usually want to be associated with.

I think it’s very telling in that Florence video where she is very monotone talking about DWD and avoided all OW praise when talking about it. But as soon as the interviewer talked about Harry’s music, she lit up and was so much more enthusiastic talking about that rather than their movie together.

that’s very much not how i read that video sorry. she’s at a Tiffany & Co. event, not doing promo for dwd (which is still 4 months away) so talking about the glamorous aspect of the movie and mentioning the hair, makeup, and costume departments is a real catching point that makes sense in the event she’s at and doesn’t reveal too much about the movie. which is something she mentioned at the beginning of the interview, that she couldn’t reveal anything. btw olivia has talked about the same thing in her vogue interview from january to avoid talking about any spoilers but still interest the public. so it’s not like it’s odd in any way.

everyone she mentions next, she has been prompted to do so: the interviewer talks about the trailer’s cinematography, she mentions and praises Matthew Libatique, the cinematographer; she’s asked about Harry, she answers the question and mentions how she already knows everyone will ask that question. then she laughs with the interviewer and lights up because they shared personal information with her and she reacted like anyone would. in that short interview, she wasn’t prompted to talk about Olivia at all, so it’s natural she didn’t mention her this time. there wasn’t any particular praise about her either so im not sure what exactly you were expecting?

hi bri! i’m a high school film student too, and i was wondering what your film major entails? most film blogs i know are either just enthusiasts or film studies, and i’ve been looking for another blog that actually *produces* films

first of all, i’d like to point out that your choice of wording sounds like you’re trying to gatekeep film students and film blogs. a film blog doesn’t have to be strictly a film student; anyone can appreciate films and be a film enthusiast, so just be aware that you don’t need to have a degree to enjoy movies. i don’t mean to lecture you; it’s just i don’t want people to feel like they need to have an explicit and detailed reason to enjoy watching something.

but into the real answer to your question: my film major involves film studies (the study of films, film history, and film theory) as well as production. i lean more with the production side, and my goal is to become a director, producer, or cinematographer. however, that doesn’t invalidate my love for the film studies aspect. without the study of film, i’d have no technique, no story theory, no inspiration from directors/studios/productions im interested in. film studies are important and serve as a way to guide a filmmaker into what kind of production they want to create. you can’t draw inspiration out of thin air. you have to have to be exposed to other works as well. the more exposure you get, the more you know how to make what you want. it’s impossible to make a superhero film without watching say, marvel and dc. it’s impossible to make a mafia film without watching, for example, the godfather. you have to intake to create.

Who I am?

Here we have a short description of myself. 

 My full name is Karla Mariana García Camargo. I was named as one of my mom´s school friend called Karla Fabiola and she wants to named me Fabiola as well but my grandfather advocated for Mariana because he met a little girl named Mariana and said that she was so cute and correct so finally my name ended like this.

And talking about myself, i like to read and watch movies, also write and learn interesting facts.I am vegetarian since i was 4 years and Im studying LCMD at Tecnologico de Monterrey. I am an introverted person and according with the MBTI test im a logician. Most of the time im very baffled and withdrawn but also i´m very honest and enthusiastic.

I was on Plantel Azteca being one of the best students of my class. And I worked as a babysitter for 3 years. Also i had taken many film courses in the AMCI and worked about 6 months as the social media manager of the Fundación Azteca account. I created Perfect Age, a magazine for students and for a year, i was taking courses about buylling, sexual education, healthy habits,anorexia and bulimia preventions and  Cyber security and then, when i was qualified,  I gave them to high school kids.

In a near future, i want to finish the college and learn a lot of things here in Tec but also, if i can, courses in differents institutions. 

I would like to study one semester in another city like New York, Valencia or Vancouver because this are cities with very good schools for cinematograph.      I want to work on the movies world and go to Ireland and Scotland.  Also i want to meet Meryl Streep and go to any Academy Awards.
