i dont know if i should say this, but i really wished that the space arc lasted way longer.
i wished that fugitoid's betrayal was a lot more impactful, the turtles (besides donnie) didn't share much connections with him. leo's anger during earth's last stand doesn't make much sense since they've barely developed a 'bond' together. maybe if leo at first didn't trust him and they worked their way up more while leo finally accepts fugitoid's friendship (maybe like they have a whole episode about it) and then the big secret finally happens then it would be a lot more emotional, heck even replace leo with donnie.
also more episodes where the guys are just in space and do silly things instead of just going up against triceritons 24/7 one way or another. i want MORE raph and mona please

omg - I just finished Partner Track earlier this week and thought the same thing! so I've never watched Shadowhunters (I did enjoy the books and movie) and only watched the first 2/3 seasons of teen wolf (I did like it but I was watching too much and couldn't keep up, lol), so I know Arden Cho and Dominic Sherwood were the main draws for most people, and actually I was also familiar with Rob Heaps, the actor who plays Nick, he was on this cool show called Imposters that sadly got canceled after two seasons. but anyway, I felt like the chemistry was alllll over the place, lol. I don't know how far you are so I won't spoil but personally I felt like people who should have it didn't, and those who shouldn't have, did have it - hopefully that makes sense - except for two pairings, imo.
I did hear the news with the Teen Wolf movie that Arden Cho was offered a much lower salary so she declined, so to see her play the lead as a female, Korean woman in a Netflix show is pretty damn cool! I don't think it's been renewed for a season 2 yet but I hope it is. would love to hear your thoughts once you finish it :)
thanks for your thoughts! ive been watching it really slowly im only on episode i think 3 or 4.
i did watch teen wolf but i didnt watch shadowhunters- i love arden and im so happy shes the lead in a show but idk, i feel like she could kinda do better than this? i dont think her chemistry with dominic is there either.
so far in the little that ive seen the only person who comes off as believable is nolan gerard funk's character (dan i think his name is?). his "we hate each other but not really" chemistry with ingrid's best friend is awful though lol and i think she's the worst cast of them all. i weirdly thought his character had better chem with arden’s than either of her actual love interests oops haha
but maybe im just nitpicking and need to watch more of it. I knew rob heaps too- he was on good girls and i HATEDDDDD his character on that but i wont hold it against him lmao

ok now that i have played happy home paradise for 3 or 4 days i think i can say my opinion of it so far (coming from one of the biggest fans of happy home designer of all time)... its SOOO good and originally i was annoyed by it being paid dlc but i think its worth it and it works very well as dlc and wouldnt be as good as a stand-alone game like hhd was, specifically with how it integrates with the full acnh game with the stores and facilities u can buy items from, while not being paylocked entirely bc u can still get all that stuff in the full game thank goodness (one neat detail that happened to me was that i bought the pro camera from the nook miles abd, and after i got the dlc mr nook sent me a letter saying he refunded the original miles spent)
the facilities having more of a use in that manner makes them feel more lived in and worth building and visiting, unlike hhd where i didnt really go back to the facilities that often. im not far enough to have many of them built yet, but i have read abt the stuff u can get from them. the other stuff added that differs it from hhd, like partitions, lighting and room size adjustments, roommates, outdoor settings and customizable season/weather/time are all really nice but i dont like the partitions as much as i want to bc they only really work as just sticking out of the wall, instead of sectioning off little boxes, but thats just a personal nitpick that i like to do for bathrooms lol. also the graphics look AMAZING, this game is really really beautiful and i KNEW upon seeing the trailer for new horizons that the possibilities for hhd-type interior design and pictures would be SO good and better from the ds graphics
my problems are mostly little things that i wish were added, like being able to choose the tree color in fall (like why is it always yellow? why cant i make them have red or orange leafs like on my island?) the ability to have two accent walls at once, the first-person camera (god i wish i could walk through walls while its on) and maybe even brand new additions like being able to move windows around the walls, or moving the doorway position, or adding a floor version of the partition so u could add layer steps. also a nitpick is that i think the array of new furniture is a LITTLE small, understandable bc of all the new food items tbh.

Med Rewatch Series (#3)
Let’s see what we have on the slate. this should be the premiere of s3: Speak Your Truth. I am watching this during school, so let’s see how bad my focus is.
-the episode description is “The shooting of Dr. Charles moves to the courtroom and things turn complicated for the doctors and nurses of Chicago Med.” so still on brand for being all sorts of vague.
-all that really says is more sarah angst so big sad
-let’s get started
-god back to classic med, starting things off fast, just how i like it
-how tf kellogg live through the headshot. guy can’t do anything right
-connor running towards charles on the guerney screaming “what the hell happened!?” and sharon just being “he got shot.” is so fucking hilarous to me i have no clue why
-oh god i remember how much it bothered me that connor changed his hair from the end of s2 to the start of s3 lol (bc it’s supposed to be the same night, but yk, nitpicking)
-the time jump is such an interesting choice. i remember it was jarring at first. i’m sure i’ll have more to say as the episode goes on
-aw hey guys look its sarah! adorable
-also stoll
-oh god, nat taking a sabbatical was weird
-WHEN SHE LOOKS AT WILL SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE IS IN PAIN IM SCREAMING
-counting
-oh boy watching s3 means i get to watch noah get thrown through a glass door and also be a disappointment
-the way connor is effortlessly charming here in the beginning is maybe the only reason i tolerate his character (also more of sarah being adorable)
-horney boi. stop it.
-noah following after sarah like a lovesick puppy is funny
-sarah saying ‘he’s the reason i went into psych...’ honey, psych is not good for your mental health please stop giving him credit
-HOLD THE FUCK ON?????
-its the s3 premiere and Sarah talks about her dad and her strained relationship, specifically because noah compares charles getting shot to her dad getting shot. but like, foreshadowing... maybe i should give the med writers a smidge more of credit than I have been in terms of planning things...
-sarah: “don’t compare my dad to dr. charles.”
-long sigh. god... sarah being so supportive. and charles just being ‘No???’
-not to be weird but court room scenes always get me feeling some sorta way
-haha its peter stone! remember him? remember chicago justice?
-THE BETRAYAL ON SARAH’S FACE - she cares so much about him and he’s about to get his own shooter acquitted.
-god sarah is just fucking fantastic. she feels so passionately about caring about people
-god charles fucking hates himself so much? he should Not be ava’s mentor
-charles: “I think the shooting is affecting your objectivity.” sarah: “mY oBjECtiViTy?!”
-also they said ‘the fact he was concealing a weapon shows like fear malicious content’ or what ever. and uh,, sarah? please. please, for my sanity. (bc of what happens later in the season)
-charles- you know how you can help me? fuck off.
-lol this kid is the one who had like a tooth ache, and now his brain is rotting or something. probably will happen to me (@ my parents please let me see the dentist)
-this is where doris is like ethan is playing favorites
-the like background noises of the ed calm me down. they prob really shouldn’t
-they’re gonna fuckkkkk
-something to be said about sarah being gung ho about kellogg being off the streets and a danger to society when... her dad...
- I really like when med does the thing when one character is just standing in the ed and they transition to the next story by having the next character run past
-what is with all of the nurses drama like honestly
-hey guys look its ava! (let see if i have enough brain cells to find anything)
-heyyyy look at that. ava trying usurp some of connor’s cases. while, yeah she is being a tad undermining, connor’s gf was literally just discharged from a psych hold. this is just an interaction to keep in mind for future events.
-ava’s playing full cunning while connor’s busy fucking his girlfriend
-dont hate the player man
-because they’re both under latham, they’re more rivals than hero/villain, bc they have a common guy who is their advisor. but yeah. dont hate the player
-robin calling ava ‘cruella’ is making want to throw hands ngl. god dude chill - bc it means either robin just saw ava interacting with people and thought ‘what a bitch’ or connor was complaining about ava and either way I hate it.
-connor broke up with robin bc she was too horneyyy (ik he didn’t break up w her but yk)
-connor - reese interaction was nice. until he started blaming her bruh wtf chilll
-her arguing with connor is like. peak. (ava + sarah teaming up to bully connor and not take any of his shit?? i think yes)
-this ethan april thing is stupid. i’m just gonna say it.
-ava: “that would have been a really great idea if you were trying to kill him.” SHE TAKES NO. SURVIVORS. i love her so much
-YEAH RHODES GET FUCKED! i think one of the reasons ava was disliked at first was bc latham kind of favored her and... literally everyone else favored connor? so get fucked? but here, ava can obviously hold her own and connor is just whining. I’m glad they put them on equal ground bc connor and ava’s direct superior is on ava’s side, and literally everyone else is with connor. AND CONNORS STILL PLAYED AS AN UNDERDOG BC AVA TOOK HIS SURGERY! HOW. infuriating
-anyway, for the purposes of the theory ava is capable enough to hold her own as a stand alone, and clever enough to be entertaining
-holy shit no i think i just remembered how this storyline goes. connor gets a better surgery, right? he gets glory and stuff. this is too fucking rich, come on. let one thing go wrong for him.
-i miss ava
-GOD SARAH LOOKS GOOD IN HER FUCKING BLAZER. unfair. unmatched
-stop it sarah you have anxiety.
-SARAH NO. BABY IS SCARED.
-okay. Ava is half bickering, half flirting with him, a little annoying but we put up with it bc we love her and its not her fault she’s supposed to be his love interest. but still, it’s playful, it’s not neccesarily flirting. conceivably, she could be talking to anybody. But then, she tells him to relax, to take a day off. SHE’S STILL A GOOD PERSON. SHE’S NOT TRYING TO EXPLICITLY SPITE CONNOR, OR ANYONE. that’s what people tend to forget. she’s not malicious.
-connor thinks she is tho. maybe that’s why some people hated her, bc connor hated her
-charles: “kellogg is not a criminal” BRUH HE SHOT YOU
-HOLY SHIT. SHARON RN IS LIKE YOU WANT KELLOGG TO BE FREE BC YOU DIDN’T CATCH THE SIGNS OF A KILLER AND ITS ABOUT YOUR EGO
-AND??? SARAH’S DAD ANYONE? that was why he was so persistent of sarah’s dad. he wanted to catch the signs.
-OKAY HERE. When latham is like, wait, did ava manipulate me? is she actually sus? he was the one person on her side and then boom he sides with connor. literally do you have any idea how great ava would be without connor?
-this manstead thing is soooo exhausting
Okay so what have we learned?
Ava is getting Connor’s cases. kind of rude but also, they’re surgeons? It’s super competitive. AND CONNOR LITERALLY WON THAT ROUND BC LATHAM SWITCHED SIDES???
AND SHE STILL TOLD CONNOR TO GET SLEEP. LIKE SHE WAS BEING NICE WHILE ALSO BEING SNARKY
ava had less lines in the ep than in s2 and honestly. wtf.
not much content, but if you look at her content, come on she’s still amazing.
thanks for sticking through

season 4 nitpicks
im gonna be real with you guys - adora’s and catra’s story is a masterpiece. it’s wonderful, it’s incredible, it works.
and the first three seasons are entertaining and funny and really damn cool. season 5 as a whole is also a masterpiece - and delivers on basically everything that previous seasons set up
but season four you guys
thinking about it some more, i feel like i have very legit reasons to simply dislike it. it just.... doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. it still puts the characters in the right places of course - but it does so in frankly, contrived ways.
the problem with it is that it doesn’t take itself seriously - it doesn’t take what it’s got itself into seriously.
Catra gets to scream and cry and break down and lash out and go into meltdown over everything she was denied and all the ways her life sucks and all the ways she ruins everything. that’s good.
but like. goddamn. the heart of season 4 should have been Queen Angella’s death.
like. and they watered that down to almost NOTHING. if you’re going to take Glimmer’s mom from her (after losing her dad as a little kid) - then you have to DEAL with it. seriously. in a serious way
even the end of season 3 felt like an extremely ridiculous take on a child losing their mother. like - she gets 4 seconds of crying. then season 4 starts on a JOKE about suddenly carrying all her mother’s responsibilities - when that’s one of the most tragic fucking things that’s happened in the entire SHOW.
season 4 just meanders on and on with Glimmer being kept from her friends for no reason (Queen responsibilities to a non-existent court disappear the moment they become irrelevant to the narrative). and Glimmer gets drawn in by Shadow Weaver a little bit and this is painted as a very a bad thing very unconvincingly. LIKE
look. Shadow Weaver should have been a really, really big player in Season 4. She’s the twisted mother figure - the manipulator - the shadow version of Angella. Now that Angella is gone, Glimmer is vulnerable, and she’s especially vulnerable to a mother figure - they could have really pushed the mirroring there with Catra and Adora - but she doesn’t get a specific dynamic with Shadow Weaver (like Adora or Catra) that defines their relationship and so it remains just - kind of irrelevant
of course, in s4 there’s a conflict about Adora being concerned about Shadow Weaver’s influence and Glimmer is upset that everything has gone to shit and also that her friends are doing things without her and now they don’t seem to trust her any more and it’s this constant annoying undercurrent to all their interactions.
But what SHOULD have happened is that Shadow Weaver smelled power - and she used Angella’s death to get it. And she explicitly leans on Glimmer’s loss to manipulate her. That is what SHOULD have happened. We’re reminded of how she ruined Adora’s life - and Adora is too. especially because the uncomfy truce between Glimmer and Shadow Weaver is a thread throughout the whole show! and it was born out of literal torture - plus they’re opposites. young & old, daughter & mother figure, inexperienced with rule & experienced with rule, light & dark, born powerful & born having to scrape for power. and they have compelling similarities; their rage and their magic. Why did Shadow Weaver have to teach Glimmer her first spells when Castaspella is her aunt?? wouldn’t it have been interesting for Shadow Weaver to use her previous relationship with Micah to prey on his daughter? this might be a silly indicator but i think the lack of fandom interest in their relationship speaks for how its huge potential fell flat
Glimmer should have explicitly had Shadow Weaver planting discord in her heart and the Best Friend Squad. I know Double Trouble took that role in the narrative and I love that character like everyone does. but....it weakened the story imo
Also Glimmer should have been looking to kill Catra. Like, actually targeting her, instead of leaving her to die. Catra is directly responsible for Angella’s ...loss.  As Glimmer alienates Adora and Bow by GENUINELY going over the line (instead of getting scolded for using a truth spell that actually helped the Rebellion out like multiple times, or idk, turning up to lead her own fucking missions lol). this then develops in perfect step with how Catra alienates the last of her friends and connections. complementary trauma (guilt and rage)
this would have definitely upped the punch on Glimmer about to make good on killing Catra - and then backing down when she realises that she’s ACTUALLY become like Catra - driven purely by loss and rage and hatred- the flipside of love. both of them utterly alone
this would also have uh....made Bow’s anger at her in s5 a little more like - like it was fine now because she definitely made a big mistake with horrible consequences. But it was an emotional mistake. not a moral one. and Bow and Adora fucked up there a bit too. relationship-wise - not Horde Prime’s found us because of me-wise. and it was Glimmer refusing to adhere to the show’s genre conventions - which EXPLICITLY paints lack of strategy (military) as a virtue. and maybe that’s - maybe that’s just the show - and it’s a good thing. But now it really seemed extremely dumb of Glimmer to know Light Hope was not to be trusted and to then to ask NO questions  about how to use the Heart after it was activated or set conditions for her cooperation. like - couldn’t they have embedded that and transformed it from sheer dumbness into ruthlessness ? like it was THERE, a desperation to protect what she loves - but it was all muted.
They also definitely did not push Adora’s ‘i need to protect her because i promised Angella’ schtick enough. especially as this could have got really interesting if Glimmer had misused this (taking on Shadow Weaver aspects) FOR REAL. not some kind of ‘im pissed bc u used me as a decoy when this was absolutely the superior strategic decision and i should know that bc i was trained to think like that and anyway i CHOSE to go martyr myself and you just used taht choice’ bullshit from Adora. im saying, like, making ADORA break HER moral code in order to get results. this would put Adora in a very interesting position as well as a hero and with her unhealthy self-sacrificial tendencies
they could have really upped the drama if they had leaned into the darkness of loss and grief - like they did in s5. but they didn’t.
