Why couldn't I have a normal family where I got to know my siblings at all before they moved out. Now I'm sitting up on Christmas eve waiting for a call from my brother and sister that might not come because they're busy with their bio family. I haven't even spoken to my brother in two maybe three years since before he went to jail and rehab and I'm like.

Been thinking about that leslie jamison essay on female pain all morning. Fucking hated the argument but it's stuck btwn my teeth. Trying to narrow down exactly why but i think it's just the endless white myopia, the exhaustion of revisiting the 2014 internet in 2023, her decrying the romanticisation of anorexia and simultaneously continuing to do so, and also I understand it was meant to be an exploration rather than a real like argumentative piece but I was bored by the fact she was flipflopping btwn like oh it's reductive and oh it's important To Literature like okkkk. I thought her writing structurally was watertight though like i loved her writing style it's just a shame that i hated what she was saying. I just hate rich girls who went to ivy leagues im sorrryyyyyyyyy
