Another year

4 years...  4 lousy fucked up years without you.  We miss you Ian.  We miss you so damned bad.  We are so broken as a family without you.  Joshua’s final project was about you, if you saw his work you would see how much he misses you.  He needed you.  Your mom is just broken.  The smile in her eyes died with you.  The only thing she ever wanted was to go on being your mom.  She is lost without that.   Emma is a quiet pool of sadness.   I am empty not getting to be your dad.  Oh I wish you could have appreciated how much we needed you.  How we would have helped you fight.  We miss you son.  And I love you so damned much.

I posted in my stories about how I love to hear when someone says Evan’s name. It doesn’t happen very often and I find that I say his name just because the absence of him is so prevalent in my everyday. I was pleasantly surprised when a dear friend brought me these salt and pepper shakers as she said they reminded her of Evan. Here’s Just one of my ways to keep my boy ‘alive’ in mind and hearts’ by getting his chums to grow a sunflower bigger than Joey! I was cutting these out yesterday while watching the Man Utd- Leicester match😢😭😱, wish I hadn’t 😓 Today I have sat gluing them together and now they are ready to have seeds popped in, then the serious work of competitive sunflower cultivation can begin as soon as @joeymcribb chums get their seed packets! June 1st, 1979. My Sonics won it’s only NBA Title against the Washington Bullets (Now Washington Wizards). It’s cool hearing stories of that Championship team from the Older Generation where there is legitly the Only team in NBA History that doesn’t have a “Franchise” player at the time, Everyone was playing Team Ball. Though we don’t have the Sonics now. I Pray & continue to fight hard like i have with other fellow Sonics fans since Day One when the whole Arena saga started 8 Years ago to see my Hometown have the Sonics back home here in Seattle. Once we do, I wanna see my Team go to The NBA Finals again like i did watching it with my Pops when i was in diapers when Shawn Kemp Dunked on Dennis Rodman in Game 4 of the 1996 NBA Finals & watch it with my Nephews (The Next Generation) but this time.....I want an NBA Championship in my Lifetime & with them just to show how much of this Long Journey of Bringing the Sonics home after these up’s & down’s & sticking with the fight would finally pay off!
