Waste Landscape-Elise Morin and Clémence Eliard French artist Elise Morin and architect Clémence Eliard just unveiled a shimmering art installation made from 65,000 discarded CDs at the Halle d'Aubervilliers of Paris's Centquatre. The undulating sea of shiny plastic was sewn together by hand to form a blanket of CDs that stretches over a series of large domes, taking up 500 square meters of the naturally daylit hall. Touch Tunnel by artist Grant Dudson for #Ford. . Grant Dudson: One of the art installations I recently designed for the Ford Fiesta press launch was what I called the Touch Tunnel. . What is it? . So the Touch Tunnel is a tactile experience designed to heighten your sense of touch. . The tunnel is a pitch black maze which means that you have to feel your way through using your hands (or any other part of your body if that's your thing). . It's important to take your time and try to identify the different textures on the wall. The textures run from natural to manmade with some surprises along the way. . In the last section you'll discover a series of textures and materials found within the Fiesta. . By the time you reach this section your sense of touch should be honed allowing you to feel the Fiesta materials in a way you've never experienced before. . The Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA), an exhibit features Francis Kéré, arguably the most influential African architect of his generation. . Diébédo Francis Kéré is a singular figure within the architecture world. Raised in rural Burkina Faso in West Africa, he spent his childhood in traditional mud huts and ramshackle concrete structures. As the eldest son of a village chief, Kéré was given the opportunity to attend school in a nearby city and later won a scholarship to study in Germany, where he earned his architecture degree in 2004. . Today, Kéré runs a small, eponymous studio in Berlin that is focused on creating dignified and sustainable buildings for communities in for communities in Africa and beyond. His distinctive work is the subject of an exhibition on view through September 25 at the Philadelphia Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA).
