Not an art req, it's actually DINOSAUR FACT TIME!! The rules are simple, I'll tell you a dinosaur fact, and you tell me a dinosaur fact in return!!

(I will take anything in response, you could literally tell me "Triceratops had 3 horns" and I'd be happy, I just wanna yap about dinosaurs)

My dinosaur fact to offer is: Tyranosaurs are actually highly believed to be pack hunters!! There's a decent amount of evidence to support this, a key piece being the group of fossils found in Utah.

i actually used to work on a spec bio project about dinosaurs reaching sapient levels of intelligence, but i had such a hard time getting out of.... i guess imposter syndrome? that i didn't get much further.... HOWEVER

one thing i learned from my research on my main specimen of choice (Imperobator) is that we actually have almost NO fossils of said dinosaur, really only having fragments of its foot/leg, and yet we have an entire reconstruction of it, most notably in prehistoric planet! it's really fascinating to me, and i hope we get more remnants of it so that we can see just how close or far off our interpretations are!

In this month:

- now that Phinium is back on the human world, he must learn new basic rules, like not to steal food in front of a territorial mother Gastonia

- a pair of Imperobator face a critical decision: do they fall for David's bait and chase him, or do they wait for Frida to lose her grip?

- a Corythoraptor ruins Woodman's lazy day by blocking the view

- this Kaprosuchus basks between David and the ball he accidentally kicked into the creek. Getting it back will be much trickier

- Astrid and the pooka have a morning problem, as a Nasutoceratops has fallen asleep on the former's front door

Speculative reconstruction of the mysterious theropod Imperobator antarcticus from the Maastricht of Antarctica. A fragmented leg and teeth of this animal were found in the Snow Hill Formation (James Ross Island). Initially, they were attributed to dromaeosaurid (the dinosaur was nicknamed "Naze dromaeosaurid" in honor of the place of discovery), despite the absence of a sickle-shaped claw. In 2019, the taxon finally received an official name meaning "imperial warrior from Antarctica". He was excluded from dromaeosaurids, referred to basal deinonychosaurs. Judging by the remains, it grew to the size of giant dromaeosaurids of the Utahraptor type. Teeth found with bones are typical of predatory maniraptorans, although the mere association with leg bones hardly confirms the carnivory of the animal.

THESE are not members of the genus Aenocyon. THESE, are grey wolf pups that have been genetically modified to match the highly-fantastical reconstruction of Dire Wolves displayed in the Television series “Game of Thrones”. FUCKING GAME OF THRONES.

(Side note; they look like the Imperobators in Prehistoric Planet! Beautiful animals but not Dire Wolves.)

You have created sick wolves, not resurrected a naturally, long extinct species. The grey wolf (Canis lupus) does not have “Dire wolf dna”. that’s retarded. Yes, they interbred. Wolves interbreed with coyotes too. Doesn’t mean all coyotes have secret wolf DNA.

Even if you were to successfully revive the species, that is POINTLESS and cruel. I can’t help but imagine the conditions the mother is in too.
