Hiiii! Would you be winging to do head canons for if the Cullens realized they liked you? What would they do and what would it be like to date them? Thanks in advance Luv! 💜💜💜
Hell yeah! Of course :D
Edward cullen:
• we already know from bella that it takes a while, but when it clicks in his brain, it brings him so much joy and happiness but he also becomes scared as fuck he was not prepared for him to fall for someone
• he tries to stay away from you, but that boy at his core is a romantic
• he takes things extremely slow. He doesn't want to make you uncomfortable or scare you off, he already hates himself and if he somehow made a mistake and made you uncomfortable he's profusely apologizing and tries to not bash his head into the wall because it will make a dent of his forehead
• also knowing that he has to learn how to keep himself from not, letting his thirst take over he has to keep things slow for himself
• the most gentleman ever, bouquets of flowers, he's opening your car door for you, properly meets your parents, leads you with his hand on your back, hand holding, the works.
• jealous ass mf. He doesn't really like to show it, but when you show you're uncomfortable and turn down a guy's flirting, he is all smiles.
• he loves listening to you talk about your favorite things, the more details the better
• gentle kisses when he takes you back home from a date
• he will take his knowledge of your favorite things and incorporate them into the date,he wants every date to be perfect
• if he can read your mind, he will answer your thoughts
• he will also humiliate you because he can read your thoughts
• "Oh, so you think I look good in this sweatshirt so good that you would -"
• if you think about something you want, it has been order, shipped, and delivered to your house by him
• if you have insomnia, he will stay up talking with you in your bed until you're too tired to form a sentence and fall asleep
• he tries every method to help you go to bed earlier and be able to be well rested
• if you have night terrors, he'll hold you on his arms and whisper sweet nothings in your ear, trying to get your heart rate down to normal
• if you sleep walk, he follows you curiously around unless you try to go outside your home, that's when he steps in and carries you back to bed
Bella swan (human and vampire):
■ this girl is red-faced around you at all times
■ she tries to talk you and then stumble over every single word, embarrassing her even worse
■ shy as hell around you
■ but this girl is bold. You might have to make the first move, but once you do, now she's pushing for more.
■ does not take things slow at all. She wants to jump your bones
■ date to the bookstore where you watch her point out every book she wants to read and then doesn't by a single book
■ you do grab one of the books she wants and buy it for her, and she is so happy and will finish it that night
■ will yap your ear off about books
■ small celebrations with just the two of you
■ vampire bella I think is a different story
■ she definitely is more courageous and might make the first move
■ probably almost bites you because, like I said, she doesn't take things slow, and you try to kiss her, but now she wants to put her tongue in your mouth and overestimated her restistance to your blood and she seperates herself from you very quickly, if she could have a heart attack she would've at that moment
■ she learned from that situation to take things slower because she doesn't want to hurt you more than she wants to kiss you like it's the end of the world
Alice cullen:
○ she already knows she likes you and that you're meant to be together before you even meet
○ if it was socially appropriate to do a back flip when you're excited, she would be the day you meet
○ she's obvious as hell and it's so cute
○ when you guys do start dating, you're like her little doll
○ she is always dressing you up and trying out new styles of makeup on you
○ pet names, she loves them, she will never use your name again just every pet name in the book
○ she's always has to be touching you, whether she's leaning on you, holding your hand, kissing your cheek, she just wants to be touching you at all times
○ the date planner, she loves it so much, and if there is any day she gets to celebrate you, she's doing something big and extravagant
Jasper hale
▪︎ this poor boy doesn't know what to do with himself
▪︎ he is taking every single precaution he can and is asking advice from his family
▪︎ you're probably gonna have to make the first move with him
▪︎ when he feels your joy when you see him and are with him, it's makes him so happy
▪︎ when he feels that's your emotions have changed from friendship to romance, he almost makes the first move, but won't
▪︎ dating him is different, though, once he gets comfortable, he'll take the lead on things
▪︎ likes country music and will show you his country music if you ask him to. Will yap about the south
▪︎ teaches you how to ride a horse if you don't already know how to
▪︎ he loves connecting with his southern roots and will be so happy if you take an interest in them
▪︎ will happily do any date he's just happy he's with you
Emmett cullen:
● he lays the flirting on thick
● always, always complimenting you
● "Show me the outfit," he says while twirling you around
● he's your biggest supporter
● loves pranking you and playing games with you
● always carrying you, and he's a hugger
● love language is touch
● date night in, orders pizza for you to each while watching a comedy movie
● would do an escape room with you
Rosalie hale:
□ deep denial.
□ acts like she hates you, but you chip away at her hatred and fear and she eventually gives in
□ you are always passenger princess with her
□ being able to show you and her car off at the same time is a huge win for her
□ she likes doing your hair, and if you're lying next to each other's, she'll just brush her fingers through your hair
□ does not know how to verbally show her affection and shows it all through action
□ she is jealous like Edward, but she will interrupt the person who's trying to hit on you and will verbally rip into them
□ parallel play. Maybe she's fixing her car while you're reading next to her in a chair
□ if she could dream, she'd dream about living the American dream with you, picket house fence, dropping the kids off at school the whole thing ☹️
Carlisle cullen:
☆ I think he's just shocked
☆ in his centuries of living I don't think he expected it to happen
☆ he will be friends with you but doesn't try to woo you because he doesn't want you involved with vampires
☆ Alice was the one to convince him to let him pursue you by telling him her visions
☆ at first, he did little things, buy you your favorite drink, and lightly flirt, nothing way to obvious
☆ when you reciprocated, he would lay on the flirting a little more, until he was 99% sure you liked him back and then he asked you out on a date
☆ he loves to spoil you and gets sad when you try not to let him
☆ gift giver, obviously
☆ he wants you to have a comfortable life financially
☆ slips $100 in the pocket of your coat when you aren't looking
☆ he will always set time away from work for you
☆ always making sure you are physically well
☆ he logs your vitamins, and what products you use, everything because he wants you to have a balanced, good quality life
☆ king of advice giving
☆ maybe you want to learn a new language or something, and he will teach you better than anyone will
Esme cullen:
♡ obvious with her feelings and isn't afraid to tell you
♡ making sure you're safe getting back to your home and telling you the best routes and things you should carry and know
♡ cooks for you, she loves to cook for you
♡ maybe you mention wanting to try a new food, and she is on it. She's already looked up a recipe and is in the car driving to the grocery store
♡ loves cuddles

user13 and people ask me why my standards are so high. i mean you broke up with your girlfriend because she didn’t like y/n, both you and quinn as well as a few other hockey boys are so protective of y/n and have threatened to kick luke’s ass if he hurts her, and luke does anything for her. she deserves happiness and you guys are doing everything you possibly can to make sure she feels loved. And that is why my standards are so high ❤  | yourinstagram they just do what any guy is supposed to do when they care. if nobody can show you that same amount of love, then they don’t deserve you. you deserve happiness too, love 😊❤
user09 i love that y/n gets along with not just the other hockey boys, but the fans as well. she is truly the best  | lhughes_06 the love of my life for sure ❤

The word “great” is somewhat promiscuously applied to actors. But it was undoubtedly deserved by Sir Michael Gambon, who has died aged 82 after suffering from pneumonia.
He had weight, presence, authority, vocal power and a chameleon-like ability to reinvent himself from one role to another. He was a natural for heavyweight classic roles such as Lear and Othello. But what was truly remarkable was Gambon’s interpretative skill in the work of the best contemporary dramatists, including Harold Pinter, Alan Ayckbourn, David Hare, Caryl Churchill and Simon Gray.
Although he was a fine TV and film actor – and forever identified in the popular imagination with Professor Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter franchise – the stage was his natural territory. It is also no accident that, in his private life, Gambon was an expert on, and assiduous collector of, machine tools and firearms for, as Peter Hall once said: “Fate gave him genius but he uses it as a craftsman.”
Off-stage, he was also a larger-than-life figure and a superb raconteur: a kind of green-room Falstaff. I have fond memories of an evening in a Turin restaurant in March 2006 on the eve of Pinter’s acceptance of the European Theatre prize. Gambon kept the table in a constant roar, not least with his oft-told tale of auditioning for Laurence Olivier as a young actor in 1963 and cheekily choosing to do a speech from Richard III; but the next night Gambon gave an explosive rendering of Pinter’s poem American Football that threatened to blow the roof off the Turin theatre.
However, Gambon’s bravura was also mixed with a certain modesty. In the summer of 2008 I met him for tea in London and found him eagerly studying the script of Pinter’s No Man’s Land, in which he was scheduled, several months later, to play Hirst. He told me that he had started work on it so soon because he found it difficult to learn lines at his age.
“Sometimes,” he said, “I sleep with a script under my pillow, or just carry it around in my raincoat pocket, in the hope the lines will rub off on me.” I think he was genuine; but with Gambon, one of life’s great leg-pullers, you were never entirely sure.
Gambon achieved greatness without either the formal training or genetic inheritance that are often considered indispensable.
He was born into a working-class Dublin family that had no artistic background; his mother, Mary (nee Hoare), was a seamstress, and his father, Edward, an engineer. When the family settled in Britain after the second world war, the young Gambon went to St Aloysius school for boys, in Somers Town, central London. On leaving at the age of 15 he signed a five-year apprenticeship with Vickers-Armstrongs, leading to a job as a tool-and-die maker. With his mechanical aptitude, he loved the work. But he also discovered a passion for amateur theatre and, having started by building sets, eventually moved into performing. “I want varoom!” he once said. “I thought, Jesus, this is for me.”
With typical chutzpah, he wrote to the Gate theatre in Dublin, creating a fantasy list of roles that he had played in London, including Marchbanks in Shaw’s Candida; in the end, he made his professional debut there in 1962 as the Second Gentleman in Othello. His best decision, however, on returning to London, was to sign up for an improvisational acting class run by William Gaskill at the Royal Court.
Gaskill was about to join the newly formed National Theatre company at the Old Vic and recommended Gambon for an audition: hence the celebrated story of Gambon’s first encounter with Olivier, which ended with the young actor, in his excess of zeal, banging his hand on a nail in an upstage column and bleeding profusely. Far from being the nail in Gambon’s coffin, this led to a productive four years with the National in which he progressed from walk-ons to substantial roles such as that of Swiss Cheese in Gaskill’s revival of Mother Courage.
On Olivier’s advice, however, Gambon left the National in 1967 to hone and pursue his craft at Birmingham rep – a shrewd move that saw him, at the astonishingly early age of 27, playing his first Othello. He moved on later to the Royal Shakespeare Company, and in 1968 made his first foray into television with the leading role in a BBC adventure series called The Borderers.
However, it was through working on another TV series, The Challengers, that he made a contact that was to transform his career. His fellow actor Eric Thompson was moving into directing, and in 1975 was set to do an Ayckbourn trilogy, The Norman Conquests, at the Greenwich theatre. He cast Gambon, against type, as a dithering vet.
He revealed, for the first time, his shape-shifting gifts; and the sight of him, seated at a dinner table on a preposterously low stool with his head barely visible above the table’s edge, remains one of the great comic images of modern theatre.
This led to a highly productive working relationship with Ayckbourn including key roles in Just Between Ourselves (Queen’s theatre, London, 1977) and Sisterly Feelings (National, 1980).
At the same time, Gambon began an association with Gray by taking over, from Alan Bates, the role of the emotionally detached hero in Otherwise Engaged (Queen’s theatre, 1976).
That was directed by Pinter, for whom in 1978 Gambon created the part of Jerry in Betrayal at the National. It was a production beset by problems, including a strike that threatened to kibosh the first night, but Gambon’s mixture of physical power and emotional delicacy marked him out as a natural Pinter actor. That power, however, manifested itself in the 1980s in a series of performances that staked out Gambon’s claim to greatness.
First, in 1980, came Brecht’s Galileo at the National: a superbly triumphant performance that brought out the toughness, obduracy and ravening intellectual curiosity of Brecht’s hero. It was a measure of his breakthrough that, as Gambon returned to his dressing room after the first night, he found the other actors in the National’s internal courtyard were shouting and roaring their approval. Two years later, Gambon returned to the RSC to play both a monumental King Lear and a ravaged Antony opposite Helen Mirren’s Cleopatra.
But arguably the finest of all of Gambon’s 80s performances was his Eddie Carbone in Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge, directed by Ayckbourn at the National (1987). It helped that Gambon actually looked like Miller’s longshoreman-hero: big and barrel-chested with muscular forearms, he was plausibly a man who could work the Brooklyn docks.
Gambon also charted Eddie’s complex inner life through precise physical actions. He stabbed a table angrily with a fork on learning that his niece had got a job, let his eyes roam restlessly over a paper as the niece and the immigrant Rodolpho quietly spooned, and buckled visibly at the knees on realising that a fatal phone-call to the authorities had ensnared two other immigrants. In its power and melancholy, this towering performance justified the sobriquet once applied by Ralph Richardson of “the great Gambon”.
When you consider that the decade also saw Gambon playing the psoriasis-ravaged hero of Dennis Potter’s TV series The Singing Detective (1986), you realise his virtuosity and range.
And that became even clearer in 1990 when he played the mild-mannered hero of Ayckbourn’s Man of the Moment (Globe theatre, now Gielgud, London), had another crack at Othello for Ayckbourn in Scarborough and appeared, in 1989, as a romantically fixated espionage agent in Pinter’s TV adaptation of Elizabeth Bowen’s The Heat of the Day: that last performance, alternately sinister and shy, was one of Gambon’s finest for television and deserved a far wider showing.
In later years Gambon successfully balanced his stage career with an amazingly prolific one in film and television. In Hare’s Skylight at the National in 1995 he combined the bulk and weight of a prosperous restaurateur with a feathery lightness – a skipping post-coital dance across the stage with the balletic grace often possessed by heavily built men.
Gambon was equally brilliant as a disgusting, Dickensian, accent-shifting Davies in a revival of Pinter’s The Caretaker (Comedy theatre, 2000), as a perplexed bull of a father in Churchill’s A Number (Royal Court, 2002), as a Lear-like Hamm in Beckett’s Endgame (Albery, 2004) and as a brooding, alcoholic Hirst in Pinter’s No Man’s Land (Duke of York’s, 2008). Even if Gambon’s Falstaff in a 2005 National Theatre production of Henry IV Parts One and Two did not quite match expectations, his work for the theatre revealed an ability to combine volcanic power with psychological depth and physical delicacy.
Ill health and increasing memory problems forced him to retire from stage acting in 2015, but not before he had given memorable performances in two Beckett plays: Krapp’s Last Tape (Duchess, 2010) and All That Fall (Jermyn Street theatre, 2012), where he played, opposite Eileen Atkins, the sightless but stentorian Mr Rooney.
He also continued to work in television and film for as long as possible. He belied the whole notion of the small screen by giving large-scale performances as the black sheep of a big family in Stephen Poliakoff’s Perfect Strangers (2001) and as a reclusive plutocrat in the same writer’s Joe’s Palace (2007).
He was nominated for awards for his performances as Lyndon Johnson in an American TV movie, Path to War (2002), and as Mr Woodhouse in a BBC version of Jane Austen’s Emma (2009). Later TV series included The Casual Vacancy (2015), Fearless (2017) and Little Women (2017).
In film, he had a rich and varied career that ranged from the violent hero of Peter Greenaway’s The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover (1989), to a heavyweight mafia boss in Mobsters (1991), the aged Lord Marchmain in Brideshead Revisited (2008), a cantankerous old director in Dustin Hoffman’s Quartet (2012) and the bearded Hogwarts headteacher (whom he privately referred to as “Dumblebore”) in six of the eight Harry Potter films, taking over the role for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) following the death of Richard Harris.
He also provided the narration for the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar! (2016) and voiceovers for the two Paddington films (2014 and 2017).
But Gambon brought to everything he did, in life as well as art, enormous gusto, a sense of mischief and a concern with precision: he was almost as happy restoring old firearms as he was working on a new role.
In 1992 he was appointed CBE, and six years later was knighted.
He married Anne Miller in 1962, and they had a son, Fergus. From a subsequent relationship with Philippa Hart, whom he met on the set of Gosford Park, he had two sons, Michael and William.
He is survived by Anne and his three sons.

Day 6: Family
Chicago, Illinois 1987
“Hold on, hold on, we’ve got another one for you, Wayne.” Eddie tells him as he hands him the little box they kept hidden at the back of the tree. The small living area of their apartment is cluttered with ripped up wrapping paper and curled ribbon.
“You’re both spoiling me here,” he tells them grumpily, the dark green knitted scarf Chrissy made for him wrapped twice around his neck. “I told you not to waste any money on me, I put you both out enough by coming up here to visit.”
“Rent stays the same whether you're here or not, old man.” Eddie scoffs loudly, shoving it to his chest. “Just open the damn thing.”
“Watch that tone and language in front of your wife, boy.” he snaps as he takes the box from him, turning to Chrissy who’s sitting beside him on the couch quietly, trying not to give away the surprise. She’s wearing May’s string of pearls that Wayne gave her right over her baggy nightdress. “Listen to the mouth on this kid, he better not be this fowl when I’m not around.”
She smiles and shakes her head quickly. “No, never, he’s always a gentleman.”
“Eh,” Wayne shoots his gaze back up at Eddie as he begins to undo the perfect yellow ribbon that Chrissy tied on top of the box. “You might have found yourself a good and loyal woman there, boy, but I know better. She’s just covering for you.”
Eddie grins, winking at her as he sits down in the chair across from the sofa, making a quick grabby motion with his hands for her to come sit with him for a better view. She hops up and scurries over, letting him pull her down on his lap.
She’s practically vibrating.
“This is a nice wrapping job, Chrissy must have done it.”
“Hey!” Eddie chirps. “I take offense to that.”
Wayne just snorts as he methodically unfolds the corners, freeing the cardboard box. “This better not be anything expensive, I swear.”
Eddie squeezes Chrissy around the middle in excitement, putting his chin on her shoulder. “I think you’re going to like it.”
When he lifts the lid and pulls out the trucker hat, he sighs loudly. “Like I need another one of these, you two should be spending your money on food.”
“Wayne, it says something on the front, Jesus!” Eddie exclaims in exasperation, making Chrissy shoulders shake with her held back giggle.
“Edward!” he scolds as he begins to unfold it.
“Sorry.” Eddie rolls his eyes.
“Smart mouthed little punk…” Wayne mutters only to pause, staring down at the letters cross stitched by hand on the front of the cap.
World’s Best Grandpa
His mouth slowly falls open as he looks back up at them, eyes wet and sparkling as he glances between them.
“You’re…” he gasps. “Chrissy, are you…?”
They both nod, their bright smiles spreading to their ears as Chrissy leans her head against Eddie’s.
“Merry Christmas, old man.” Eddie tells him. “The Munson family is growing.”
“Jesus H Christ!” he chuckles at last, bursting into tears

Every happy ending has a beginning.
Before the famous Blackbeard, before the romance with a certain Gentleman Pirate, Edward Teach was a young waif, thirteen years old, blood on his hands and the life at sea as a pirate his only escape. Life under the clever but cold Ben Hornigold isn't easy, and less so for the youngest member of the crew who can't seem to stay out of trouble. It takes all of Edward's wit, cunning, and sheer tenacity just to survive, let alone find his own way in the world full of people who want to keep him in his place.
Never Shall We Die is an epic story full of adventure and freedom, wild joy, crushing despair, friends, enemies, mentors and lovers... Watch as Edward Teach grows from a boy to a man, discovering himself and honing his skills to become the greatest pirate the world has ever known.
Genre: Gen
Type: Exploring Ed's Hornigold Era backstory and how his choices and the weight of the world shaped him - both for the better... and the worse.
Warnings: Darker themes, violence, blood, trauma, Edward being an absolute menace to himself and others, cursing.
Updates: Monthly
Chapter Thirty-Three: Light and Shadow It is time for Edward to face the armada, time for him to burst through, if only everything wasn't like herding cats. When everyone has their own plans and ambitions, it's difficult to get anyone to listen. Especially if they view the task as an impossible one-- and maybe it is. But Edward can't back out of the challenge now, he and he will do whatever it takes to get it done.
Hopefully he can survive it.
Read at A03
xxxxx Arc I xxxxx
Chapter One:  The Boy After all is said and done, the only place left for Edward is a wild unpredictable life at sea. Being a pirate under Captain Hornigold is not easy, becoming a pirate is even harder and Edward is not entirely sure he can do this.
Chapter Two: Demon Born Everyone tells him to know his place until Edward is sick of hearing it. And his place right now is in the bilges. He doesn't have status, he doesn't have strength, he doesn't have anything that will help him rise above just a petty drudge that will probably be dead soon. ...or does he?
Chapter Three: Red Skies Edward is determined to become something more than he is, even though he's the youngest and with little respect. As he navigates his way with crew and secrets to a better standing, other forces on the ship are conspiring around him to keep him down. A storm is brewing and Edward sits in the center of it.
Chapter Four: The Turning Tide Part I Edward wakes up to find that though much has changed, much has remained the same. But time and tides wait for no one, and soon Edward will have a choice to make- whether to head toward the safety of shore, or be entirely swept out to sea.
Chapter Five: The Turning Tide Part II In the town of Paradise, Edward has decisions to make, and as ugly truths come to light, he has to decide whether he is going to listen to the voices of others or carve his own path, no matter what course it takes.
xxxxx Arc II xxxxx
Chapter Six: This Side of Paradise Ed is growing, whether he likes it or not. At 15-years-old dealing with his own changes and the changes of his friends are hard enough; but when Hornigold is forced to sail with the notorious Captain Flint to take down the Leviathan, Ed is going to find change is a lot harder and comes a lot faster than he is prepared for. Chapter Seven: The Sea-Dog and the Walrus Life aboard Flint's ship is even more annoying in on the Ranger. And even worse with the notorious quartermaster going by John Silver. Ed doesn't know what the old swashbuckler has planned, but can't completely trust him. As they draw closer to a sea battle that could change their fates, Ed must ferret out his enemies and learn to dance with his allies. Chapter Eight: Against the Rising Tide As the plans to capture the Dorter come to a head, Ed is determined now more than ever to learn how to dance and sway people the same way Feliciano does. If he can, he's sure that Hornigold will see his worth But dancing comes with a high price and Ed might have to sacrifice parts of himself to pay it. He has to work harder... Be better... ...And give up more. Chapter Nine: The Devil's Eye On the run from the Princess Anne, Ed and the combined crews on the Dorter have no choice but to flee into the dangerous waters of the Devil's Eye. With the drunk Bill Bones in charge and Jack and Davenport uncertain in their command, it falls upon Ed to figure out where to go, what to do, and how to make it happen while navigating the waters of everyone's pride. But a storm is brewing among the crew, and the greatest danger of the Devil's Eye may well come from within. At Childhood's End Sometimes growing up means leaving things behind (ch. 10-13) Chapter Ten: At Chilhood's End Part I: Storm Warning In order to leave the Devil's Eye, the Princess Anne needs to be scuttled- and Ed is determined to be the one to scuttle it, no matter what he has to do. But the storm that's brewing among the crew is growing stronger, and when it breaks... Chapter Eleven: At Childhood's End Part II: Storm Rising Free of the Devil's Eye, Ed and the combined crew of the Dorter make their way back to Blind Man's Cove. But the storm aboard is only growing stronger, and some lessons need to be learned in a way that can't be forgotten. Chapter Twelve: At Childhood's End Part III: Storm Breaking Blind Man's Cove at last, and though the tempest on the Dorter has passed, a new one is brewing on the island itself between Hornigold, Flint, new crew and old faces, Ed is facing a storm he can't stop- the only thing he can do is try to navigate it. Chapter Thirteen: At Childhood's End Part IV: At Childhood's End Growing up means leaving things behind.
xxxxx Arc III xxxxx
Chapter Fourteen: Breaking Free At seventeen, Edward is still as much as Hornigold's dog as ever, chasing pirate turned privateers all over the Caribbean. Though he has some life of his own in the residents of the rapidly growing Republic of Pirates, most of his time is dedicated to Hornigold's beck and call. That is until he finds evidence of a mysterious new pirate making a name for himself on the high seas. A pirate that Edward can't help but be intrigued by. But to find out anything about him, he'll have to slip free of Hornigold's leash, and Ben Hornigold is not one to let go lightly. Chapter Fifteen: The Mermaid and the Sunflower Sailing with Jack is a mixed blessing. It's not like Edward doesn't enjoy partying and drinking and smoking weird shit but he can't stop thinking about the mysteries he's uncovered and what they could mean. Convincing Jack to help out will already be a hard enough task without the recalcitrant Bellamy and Jack's feckless crew, but Edward is determined to try... ....while in his heart a darkness grows. Chapter Sixteen: The Gathering Storm Though life on the Tournesol is nothing like life on the Ranger, Edward will have to work harder than ever to reach his goal. Between the expectations of the crew, the hostages and even Jack; not to mention the growing threat of mutiny, Edward is left with little enough time to find himself- but then again, maybe he doesn't want to- because maybe he won't like what he sees... Chapter Seventeen: Currents and Tides As the journey continues, Edward finds that navigating the waters of Jack's crew and Jack himself is possibly the most difficult challenge yet, and while some things are still bubbling under the surface, both old and new, he barely has time to look at them and is not sure he even wants to At least Anne is there as a steadying presence, which is good because things with Bellamy are starting to become a little... ...strange Chapter Eighteen: Breakwater The eastern side of the islands are dangerous, lousy with pirates and reefs and rocks, and, so far, sparse with information. But Edward is determined, even if it's difficult to balance the increasing neediness of Jack and the politics of the crew while not completely smothering his own ambition. Sometimes the line between ally and enemy blurs, and soon enough, Edward might be unable to tell the difference. Chapter Nineteen: Uncharted Waters Part I: Making Port Edward has to leave, he knows this, but it's not easy leaving a ship mid-voyage in unfamiliar territory. Still, the longer he remains, the more the lines strain and if he isn't careful, something, soon, is going to snap.
xxxxx Interlude xxxxx
Chapter Twenty: Uncharted Waters Part II: A Night On the Island Biscornu offers many things, from brothels to food to the night market, all ready to be explored. But as Edward stands at the threshold of something completely new, there are things inside him to discover that he's never had time to consider. Every new beginning brings an end, and every end a beginning. Chapter Twenty-One: New Horizon Part I: Under the Still Dark Moon Emmanuel Wynn is a better host than Ed is expecting. He doesn't exactly fit in on the Melusine, but he doesn't exactly fit in anywhere. Sill, despite being a guest, there are still expectations weighing on him. And an enemy is an enemy, even one that wears a friendly face. Chapter Twenty-Two: New Horizon Part II: Wide and Starry Sky The more Ed tries to keep things together, the more things try to fall apart. But Ed is determined to do the impossible and, this time, he's not alone. Chapter Twenty-Three: New Horizon Part III: Côte des Voyous Just getting to Côte des Voyous is a challenge in and of itself. But when Ed finally arrives, he will meet old friends, make new enemies, and have before him the chance of a lifetime. Chapter Twenty-Four: New Horizon Part IV: Parley The first day of the parley and Ed is eager to prove himself as someone other than just a pawn in another man's game. But as his past and present start to tangle together and his own assumed responsibilities begin to pile on, Ed has to find a way to fulfil all his promises or buckle under the weight. Chapter Twenty-Five: New Horizon Part V: Pale Blue Sky The second day of parley dawns and Ed is more busy than he's ever been, but as the various threads of his past and present tangle together, he's going to find it harder and harder to keep it going; and sometimes the only thing left on the table is sacrifice. Chapter Twenty-Six: Lost and Distant Shore Back with Hornigold once more and it's all Ed can do to hang on to who he is, let alone who he used to be. But as raids and fights ramp up and Hornigold's addiction spirals out of control, it's on Ed's shoulders to keep the Ranger moving forward… before everything falls apart.
xxxxx Arc IV xxxxx
Chapter Twenty-Seven: Still Waters Edward is fine, everything is over and he's safe at the Lusca. Never mind that he's restless, that nightmares plague him, that he longs for the sea, and the Storm of Hornigold follows him wherever he goes. But still waters run deep and though Edward has not fully recovered, he still has a place to rest before a new adventure begins. ...and it won't wait for long. Chapter Twenty-Eight: Dawn Break A new day and one step closer to setting sail under his own flag. Before he can, Edward has to connect with friends, connect with enemies, and find confidence in his new role-- sooner rather than later. Because the world doesn't stop for Edward Teach and there are still shadows in the Republic of Pirates that want nothing more than to see him fail. Chapter Twenty-Nine: Learning to Fly There is only a little left to do, talk with Bart, meet the crew, and party his ass off. Edward is starting to discover that there's more to himself, more to find and explore, inside and out there and he intends to explore it. And now, on his last wild night in the Republic of Pirates, he's testing his wings and learning to fly. Chapter Thirty: Adventure Calling Edward Teach. Captain Edward Teach. Finally Edward has his own ship, fully crewed and course laid in. True the ship is third hand, and true the crew is made up different bands of people with shifting alliances; true that Edward's not sure who he can trust, or if he can trust anyone. And as much experience as Edward has, he's going to find out he's still got a lot to learn. Chapter Thirty-One: The Court of the King The arrival at Moxey Town brings with it new frustrastions and dangers, though most of them is Edward keeping his fluctating crew of disparate alliances and personalities in line and behaving themselves. Still, another threat looms large in Spanish waters, a threat they will have to circumvent or face before they can even reach the colonies. The King knows the answers, but if he'll be ally or enemy in the future, only time will tell. Chapter Thirty-Two: Heavy is the Head... Edward is captain. But what does it mean to be captain? And how can he make himself into the captain he wishes to be? Hard enough to find the answers to that without trying to find a ship he has no idea how to find with little information and everyone arguing. Hard enough to find the answer to that when he barely believes in himself. Hard enough to know when he doesn't know who to trust. Hard enough to know when he cares too much. But he keeps going as he always does, finding comfort-- and hurt, in unexpected places.

Thomas Edward Lawrence was a handsome, diminutive, Oxford educated British gentleman with a keen interest in Archaeology. As a youth, he rode his bicycle from England to the Middle East to study the castles of the Crusades. He walked 1100 miles, learning all that he could about the cultures and languages. He was robbed and beaten on his first day in Syria (even then, a top vacation spot), a fact that he kept hidden from his mother.
Studying at Oxford, Lawrence was curiously close to an older male companion, Vyvyan Richards. Their parents and their pals worried about the closeness. His parents were concerned about Richards' motives. They thwarted his plan to go into a printing press business with Richards. So, Lawrence accepted an offer to join an archaeological dig sponsored by the British Museum in what is now called Iraq.
After he arrived, Lawrence met a boy, Selim Ahmed, commonly called "Dahoum", meaning "little dark one". Their relationship started with Lawrence attempting to learn Arabic and Dahoum learning English. They became more than just friends, living and traveling together, which caused a scandal among the British archaeologists, not just because they became lovers, but because of the mixing of races.
When World War I broke out, British Intelligence sought out Arab experts (Turkey and Germany were allies at the time). Lawrence left Dahoum in charge of workers at their dig and he returned to England.
Lawrence's knowledge of the Middle East brought him to a post in Cairo making maps and gathering intelligence. He devised a plan to assist the Arabs in their uprising against the Turks, allowing the British forces to attack the highly prized Suez Canal. His kinship with the Arabs was noted and he quickly became key to the operation, acting as a go-between for both armies. A deal over who would get what land after the rebellion was struck and soon the rebel forces prepared for battle.
At around this time, American journalist Lowell Thomas arrived in Cairo searching for a story to boost the USA's involvement in a war that was none of our business. He was captivated by the story of a British officer in traditional Arab dress.
In June 1916, there was a successful attack on the Turkish railway. Other attacks were planned and carried out. But poor Lawrence was discovered and taken prisoner by the Turks. He was tortured and raped. A guard sympathetic to the Arab cause gave Lawrence a shot at escape. Lawrence took it and he walked hundreds of miles across the desert to safety.
Lawrence was deeply damaged by his capture. He attempted to resign his service, but the British refused. He somehow found the energy to take his trademark Arabic robes, pick up a gun and head for the front against the charging rebels. Lawrence survived a year of fighting before the rebels took Damascus in 1918 and began to set up an all-Arab Government. We all know how that worked out. This is when Lawrence found out that Dahoum had died.
Of course, the British Government did not fulfill the promises of land for the Arabs, the beginnings of the mess that we are now in, but that Jared Kushner supposed to have fixed in 2020.
Lawrence led a campaign for the Arab cause against the British government. He also began writing a book about his experience in the Middle East, THE SEVEN PILLARS OF WISDOM, part memoir and part travelogue. After many months of work, Lawrence lost the manuscript when his briefcase was stolen at a London train station.
Lowell Thomas returned from the war with the idea to make Lawrence a war hero. He traveled with a slide presentation about a misfit officer who became a leader of an Arab army. Lawrence became a media star, yet he didn't love being celebrated, saying that his role had been blown out of proportion. He used the opportunity to announce that he would refuse to accept any official honors.
To escape the attention, the furious Thomas convinced the RAF to take him under a fake name. Lawrence settled down to a military life and began rewriting of his famous book. The first edition was finally published in 1927.
After his retirement from the RAF in 1935, Lawrence moved to a cottage in the English countryside to live quietly and anonymously. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle around the back roads. Once, he swerved to avoid a pair of boys on their bicycles and crashed his motorcycle and died. He was just 46 years old.
He called himself an "ordinary man", but Lawrence lived an extraordinary life. Among the mourners at his funeral were gay writer E.M. Forster and Winston Churchill.
The tale of Lawrence's life as presented in David Lean's 1962 film, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA cements his place in history, but Lean left out the gay part, of course.

New Gentlebeard Fic Idea!
Boxer Au
Stede 'The Gentleman' Bonnet is a new up and coming boxer, quickly rising through the ranks and set on earning a new title. Very uncommon for someone his age!
He's quickly gaining popularity for being absolutely lovely, even to his opponents
His crew are with him as trainers, managers, water people just normal boxer crew stuff
People are begging him to fight the current undefeated world champion whose had his belt for twenty years!
Edward 'Blackbeard' Teach has been boxing for the better part of twenty years. He was good at it. Getting to the point where people aren't wanting to fight him – his savage fighting style scaring a lot of contenders.
Except one.
His manager and general pain in the ass Izzy Hands wants him to fight this new fighter, he was getting a lot of attention and people were wanting a fight between the two of them. Izzy included.
It didn't bother Ed, until he saw who he was fighting. And oh boy.
He might just fall in love instead.
Basically I was watching the Charlo Vs Canelo fight and this idea hit me like a tonne of bricks.

{HARRIS DICKINSON, 21, MALE, HE/HIM} Is that EDWARD MORRISON? A JUNIOR originally from MANHATTAN. They’re THE PROUD ELITE on campus, but even they could get blamed for Greer’s disappearance.
tl;dr: eddie responsible, pragmatic, methodic but he is also frustrated that he still hasn’t found his path in life and is too scared to live life the way he wants to without disappointing his family. i feel like, right now, he’s at this crossroads where he wants to be young and find his path and have fun, but he is too scared this will put all the great things he has in jeopardy.
-– the basics:
full name: edward rufus morrison nicknames: ed, eddie, rufus (if you want to annoy him) + whatever your muse desires age: 21 birthday: march 13th, 2002 birthplace: new york city, new york major: computer science + literature gender: cisgender male sexuality: bisexual
stats - pinterest board - playlist - wanted connections
multimedia character inspirations:
henry winter (the secret history), dickie greenleaf (ripley - 2024), julian fromme (these violent delights), art donaldson (challengers), declan lynch and richard gansey iii (the raven cycle/the dreamer trilogy), kendall and shiv roy (succession), logan dellos (westworld), nate archibald (gossip girl), mahdi (blocco 181)
background:
middle child of the morrison family;
grew up as the family's perfect little golden boy;
his parents always deposited in him the expectations of one day taking on the family business;
was always sort of a conflict mediator at home, which is one of the reasons why his parents love him so much;
always enjoyed reading and studying;
didn't have any big issues growing up aside from sporadic ideological conflicts with his parents;
spent a year in france as a part of an exchange program in high school;
personality:
kind of nihilistic;
matured way too early so he kind of just wants to be young and dumb for a while but will not allow himself to be happy bc he feels like being his dad's ideal of a man is more important;
very creative and artistic;
on the outside he's a conformist, on the inside he's super liberal. he refrains from dabbling in politics, though bc as aware as he can be abt his privilege, he would never give up the nice things he has;
roy-siblings coded: he will do anything to impress an unloving parent because there's no drug more powerful than parental validation
can be very practical when he needs to be, but is usually very much the opposite
he is very VERY lost in life, very frustrated, very unhappy, thinks he's trowing his life away and regrets like 75% of his life choices;
he can be a bit selfish and narcissistic;
thinks he's smarter than everyone;
cannot muster up the courage to confront his family about anything so he can often be found looking forlornly at the horizon wondering abt everything his life could have been;
headcanons
fatally allergic to hornets. he WILL die if he gets stung
loves videogames;
kind of an art/history nerd;
annoying film-bro that carries a mubi tote around and has a criterion channel subscription (also hit him up if you want to borrow any criterion collective exclusive releases);
would have been an actor in another life. LOVES shakespeare;
eddie is kind of closeted with his bisexuality, mostly bc he feels like his parents might start looking at him differently (a few ppl know and he doesn't make a point of hiding it but he won't openly label himself as queer, it's a weird thing but you know where i'm going with this right)
also LOVES winter sports like and is an amazing tennis player but doesn't care much about other sports;
mildly near-sighed
slightly allergic to polyester (as per a collective gc decision lmao)
other tropes: princely young man, gentleman snarker, byronic hero.
RELATIONSHIP TO GREER: Most of his life, Greer was like a best friend inside of their home. Someone with whom he shared most of his fondest memories, like summers in the Hamptons, Christmases in the Alps, and Halloweens at Disney World. Yet, when you grow up in a Succession-esque household, there are certain unspoken rules about loyalty and comradery. Siblinghood was always a game – fun, for the most part, but competitive and always marred by the inevitable awareness that there was always a great deal at stake and that one could end up finding himself on the losing side. Luckily, for most of their lives, the Unfavorite gracefully assumed that position – which neither he, nor Greer ever questioned. But Edward knew that there were always boundaries to his relationship with the golden girl, there were secrets to be kept from her, lies to be told to appease her, because he knew – as his twin did – that Greer would gladly throw any of them under a bus coming in at full speed if she knew that would expand her advantage in their parents’ rankings.
HOW THEY EMBODY THEIR SKELETON TROPE: The linen shirts, the tailored suits and the cashmere sweaters attest to his love of all things fine and luxurious. Edward is the stereotypical Barbie of northeastern rich men: his favorite sport is skiing; he loves a good glass of premium aged scotch; and his go-to Holiday getaway is quick trip to Europe. All this privilege makes him a little out of touch with reality. Sometimes he just doesn’t get the so-called “small pleasures of life”. And all this luxury at his full disposal might make him appear a little too self-assured. He doesn’t do it out of malice or hatred of the less privileged, though, he just loves his life too much not to be all-in in it…
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: tennis, sailing, writing club, fencing club

in a world of boys, he’s a gentleman
“Got lovestruck, went straight to my head. Got lovesick, all over my bed”
A look through of Stacy and Edward’s relationship right after he proposed. The royal life, a whirlwind of emotions.
Chapter 19/40
Pairing: Stacy x Edward
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/51843736/chapters/131078110
"Within this realm, every soul plays a pawn's role, even the queen—a piece that often overestimates its standing."
Edward, sensing the tension, locked gazes with his father, the chess pieces standing as silent witnesses to their familial power play. The game unfolded, and the king, with a cunning twist, sacrificed his queen, an act not lost in symbolic significance.
"Sacrifices," the king intoned, his words hanging in the air like a foreboding mist, "are sometimes imperative for the greater good."
The chess pieces seemed to echo the unsaid, and the atmosphere thickened with suspense. The imagery painted an intricate dance of shadows, a metaphorical battlefield where every move hinted at the fragility of their relationship. Father and son engaged in a silent dialogue where chess became a tapestry woven with cryptic warnings.
In a pivotal moment, the king seized an opportunity on the board, mirroring the veiled threats that permeated their conversation. "Edward," he spoke with measured caution, "every decision you make carries consequences. A king must prioritize the stability of the kingdom over personal desires."
As the shadows deepened, the chess pieces, like spectators to a clandestine theater, seemed to whisper of familial bonds hanging on a knife's edge. The suspense escalated, emphasizing the precarious path Edward navigated, particularly concerning his connection with Stacy.
The king, his eyes fixed on the chessboard, continued his cryptic counsel to Edward. "Remember, my son, a wise king does not sacrifice his most crucial pieces merely to shield the queen. The cost of such protection can be steep."
The words lingered in the air, a thinly veiled threat woven into the tapestry of strategic guidance. Each move on the chessboard mirrored the delicate dance of power and influence within the royal family. The king's assertion carried a weight that hinted at consequences for deviating from the established course—a veiled warning about the potential sacrifice of familial bonds in the pursuit of sovereignty.
As the chess pieces moved on the board, the king's words reverberated with a subtle yet undeniable threat. Edward, torn between the loyalty to his father and the deep connection he shared with Stacy, felt the strain in their relationship intensify.
The king continued to dispense his strategic wisdom, intertwining the rules of the game with the unwritten rules of the royal court. "Remember, Edward, the game is not over when the queen is captured. It's only a matter of when the king falls. Pawns may rise to become queens, and queens may be replaced."
Edward, trying to comprehend the layers of meaning in his father's words, ventured cautiously, "But why hold the queen in such high regard if she's replaceable?"
A sly smile crept across the king's face as he answered, "In the world of kings, sentimentality must yield to practicality. The queen's sole purpose is to provide an heir, and beyond that, her significance wanes. A wise king navigates the delicate dance of duty and desire, ensuring the continuity of the royal line."
Edward, conflicted and uneasy, sought refuge in the game before him, realizing that the chessboard mirrored the intricate dynamics of his own life. The pieces, moved with precision, symbolized the people entwined in the court's intricate web, with each move carrying consequences that echoed far beyond the chessboard.
The palpable tension between father and son intensified, their strained relationship mirrored by the chess pieces engaged in a silent battle. The king leaned back in his chair, a knowing glint in his eyes as he offered advice to his son, not just as a father but as a monarch passing on the unwritten rules of their lineage. "Edward, my boy, a king's duty to his queen extends only as far as providing an heir. Beyond that, indulge in life's pleasures. Mistresses, dalliances – they are the prerogatives of a king."
Edward, taken aback by the directness of his father's counsel, hesitated before responding, "But what about love, Father? What about the connection I share with Stacy?"
The king's expression hardened, a subtle warning beneath his words. "Love has its place, Edward, but a wise king separates matters of the heart from matters of the throne. It's a delicate balance between duty and desire. Queens may come and go, but the stability of the kingdom depends on your choices."
As the weight of his father's expectations settled upon him, Edward realized the intricacies of the throne were more demanding than he had anticipated. The clash between tradition and his personal convictions echoed in the royal chambers, setting the stage for a struggle that would define his reign. In the silent chess match between father and son, the pieces moved with the precision of history, each move shaping the fate of the royal legacy.
As the days unfolded, Stacy found herself grappling with the reality of being engaged to a prince. Edward's duties and responsibilities kept him occupied, leaving limited time for personal moments. Parliament meetings, royal obligations, and the intricacies of running a kingdom consumed much of his schedule.
Stacy, while understanding the weight of his position, couldn't help but feel a growing sense of loneliness. The palace and the regal atmosphere couldn't fill the void left by Edward's absence. In the vastness of the royal residence, she yearned for the familiarity of his presence.
Edward, too, found himself torn between his love for Stacy and the demands of his role. The responsibilities that came with being a prince weighed heavily on his shoulders, often requiring his attention and focus. The time spent away from Stacy left an ache in his heart, a yearning for the moments they could steal away from the formalities of royal life.
Their rare encounters became cherished respites from the pressures of duty. A stolen glance in a crowded room, a brief touch in the corridors of the palace – these fleeting moments became the fuel that sustained their connection amid the challenges of royal life.
The heavy door to Edward's chambers swung open, revealing a tired and visibly frustrated prince. Stacy, eager to greet him and share a moment of solace, rushed towards him with a warm smile. However, the storm clouds that lingered over Edward's expression hinted at a tumultuous day.
"Edward, I've been waiting for you," Stacy began, her voice carrying the warmth of affection. "How was your day?"
Edward, carrying the weight of a bad day at parliament, couldn't shake off his frustration. Without realizing it, he snapped, "Stacy, darling, not now. I've had a terrible day, and I don't need more complications."
Stacy, taken aback by the sudden change in his demeanor, tried to gauge the situation. "Edward, I'm here for you. You can talk to me."
But Edward's patience had worn thin, and his words were sharper than intended. "Talk? I don't need to talk right now. I- You won't understand. Just leave me alone, Stacy."
The hurt in Stacy's eyes was palpable as she stammered, "Edward, I... I didn't mean to upset you. I just wanted to—"
"Enough!" Edward's frustration boiled over, and he cut her off. "I said I need space. Get out!"
The words hung in the air, a heavy silence following the outburst. Stacy, wounded, retreated from the room, tears stinging at the corners of her eyes. Edward, realizing the harshness of his words, watched her leave with a mix of regret and turmoil.
Amelie, standing outside the door to Edward's chambers, watched with concern as Stacy hurriedly left the room. The traces of tears on Stacy's face were unmistakable, and Amelie's attuned instincts immediately sensed that something had gone awry.
"Stacy, what happened?" Amelie inquired, her voice tinged with worry.
Stacy, trying to maintain a facade of composure, wiped away her tears hastily. "It's nothing, Amelie. Just a small disagreement. I'll be fine."
Amelie, however, wasn't convinced. She knew Stacy well enough to understand when something was amiss. "Stacy, you can't keep it bottled up. Talk to me. What happened in there?"
Stacy hesitated, torn between the desire to confide in Amelie and the instinct to shield Edward from unnecessary scrutiny. "It's really nothing, Amelie. Just some stress from the day. I don't want to burden you with it."
Amelie, recognizing Stacy's evasive tone, pressed on. "Stacy, I'm here to support you. You can't just shut me out."
Stacy, torn between loyalty and vulnerability, managed a weak smile. "I appreciate your concern, Amelie, but really, it's not as serious as it seems. Let's just leave it at that."
Despite Stacy's attempt to downplay the situation, Amelie couldn't shake off the worry that lingered in her heart. As the night unfolded, Stacy's silent tears spoke volumes, leaving Amelie to grapple with the unspoken turmoil within the palace walls.
In the days that followed the unexpected rift with Edward, Stacy's disinterest in the royal lessons became increasingly evident. The once-engaging sessions with Amelie turned into a monotonous routine that failed to captivate Stacy's attention.
Amelie, sensing the shift in Stacy's focus, tried her best to maintain the semblance of structure and importance in the lessons. However, the spark that had initially ignited Stacy's curiosity seemed to have dimmed. Stacy's mind was preoccupied, her thoughts wandering far from the intricacies of royal protocols and diplomatic intricacies.
During one particularly challenging lesson on the historical alliances and treaties that shaped Belgravia's geopolitical landscape, Stacy found herself daydreaming. The weight of her engagement and the recent strain in her relationship with Edward weighed heavily on her shoulders, eclipsing the significance of the royal responsibilities she was meant to embrace.
Amelie, observing Stacy's lack of engagement, decided to address the elephant in the room. "Stacy, is everything alright? Your mind seems to be elsewhere today."
Stacy sighed, her eyes reflecting a weariness that transcended the subject matter of their lesson. "I just... I can't focus, Amelie. There's so much going on, and these lessons feel like a distant priority right now."
Amelie, empathetic to Stacy's struggle, acknowledged, "I understand that you're going through a difficult time, but these lessons are crucial. Your role as the future Crown Princess demands a certain level of understanding and commitment."
Stacy nodded, her gaze distant. "I know, Amelie. It's just hard to concentrate when everything feels so complicated."
Amelie, realizing the need for a delicate approach, offered a comforting reassurance. "Stacy, I'm here to support you in every way possible. If there's anything you need, please let me know. We'll navigate through this together."
Amelie, growing increasingly concerned about Stacy's growing disinterest and emotional turmoil, took a more direct approach. She invited Stacy for a private conversation in the quiet confines of Stacy's chambers, away from the prying eyes of the palace.
"Stacy, we need to address what's happening. Your disinterest in the lessons is palpable, and it's clear that something is bothering you," Amelie said with genuine concern.
Stacy, sitting on a plush chair with a distant gaze, sighed. "Amelie, I appreciate your concern, but these lessons, the royal duties, it all feels overwhelming. I can't shake off the feeling that I've stepped into something I'm not prepared for."
Amelie, choosing her words carefully, replied, "Becoming the Crown Princess is a significant responsibility, Stacy. It's natural to feel the weight of the role. But remember, I'm here to guide you through every step. We can overcome any challenges together."
Stacy looked at Amelie, her eyes reflecting a mix of uncertainty and distress. "Is it too late to turn back? Can I still undo things?"
Amelie hesitated for a moment, contemplating the weight of Stacy's question. "Stacy, decisions of this magnitude can't be taken lightly. Once you enter the royal sphere, there are expectations, responsibilities, and a commitment to the people. It's not a path you can easily turn away from. What's going on?"
Stacy's shoulders slumped, and she looked down, grappling with the reality of her choices. "I thought I was ready for this, but everything is more complicated than I imagined. The pressure, the expectations... I didn't anticipate how it would affect me and Edward."
Amelie, empathetic to Stacy's struggle, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Stacy, the path ahead may be challenging, but you're not alone. Edward cares about you deeply, and the people of Belgravia believe in the strength of their future leaders. You have the potential to navigate through this, but it requires commitment and understanding."
As the weight of the conversation settled in the room, Stacy contemplated the crossroads she found herself facing. The future, once a realm of endless possibilities, now felt like an uncertain journey. The echoes of her question lingered in the air, challenging the very foundations of the choices she had made. Her trail of thought was interrupted by an attendant entering her chambers.
"Your Ladyship..." the attendant curtsies to Stacy and hands Amelie a tray containing an invitation. "His Majesty the King is requesting for your presence later at the parliament, Carpiani Palace."
Once the attendant left, Amelie could only sigh. "Oh god, we're totally fucked."
Amelie stood by Stacy's side as they walked through the halls of the grand parliament building. Stacy's heart fluttered nervously as they approached the king's office, a mixture of apprehension and formality filling her mind. When they entered the office, Stacy gave a respectful curtsy, trying to hide the jitters that fluttered in her stomach. King George acknowledged her gesture with a nod, his expression serious and authoritative. He gestured towards Amelie, signaling for her departure.
Amelie, dedicated to Stacy's safety and well-being, hesitated for a moment, a subtle indication of her adherence of protocol. But the king's direct question lingered in the air, creating a tense moment. "Do you consider me a threat to Miss De Novo's security as well, Ms. Elsworth?" he asked sharply.
Amelie was taken aback by the question but swiftly composed herself. "No, Your Majesty, I do not," she answered with an air of confidence and loyalty.
The king seemed content with her response, reiterating his desire for privacy, "Then, leave us. This is a private matter."
Amelie glanced at Stacy briefly, a subtle sign of reassurance, before retreating from the room, leaving Stacy to face the weighty conversation with the king on her own. As the door closed behind Amelie, the room seemed to echo with the significance of the impending discussion. Stacy, standing in the presence of the formidable King George, tried to steady her nerves and maintain composure.
King George, seated behind his imposing desk, regarded Stacy with a scrutinizing gaze. "Stacy, have a seat," he instructed, motioning toward a chair in front of him.
Stacy, with a hint of uncertainty, took the offered seat, the plush upholstery providing a small comfort in the formal setting. "Your Majesty, how can I assist you today?" she inquired respectfully.
The king's expression softened slightly as he leaned back in his chair. "Stacy, let's talk plainly. I've summoned you here to discuss matters concerning Edward and the future of our kingdom."
Stacy nodded, her attention fully focused on the king's words. "Of course, Your Majesty. I'm here to understand and support in any way I can."
King George, known for his direct approach, began addressing the concerns that had been weighing on his mind. "Edward is my son, and my primary concern is the welfare and stability of Belgravia. I've observed your actions and commitment, but I need assurance that you understand the gravity of your role as the future Crown Princess."
Stacy met the king's gaze, her sincerity evident. "Your Majesty, I take my responsibilities seriously. I understand the importance of my role in the kingdom and the expectations that come with it."
The king nodded, acknowledging her commitment. "It's essential, Stacy. The continuity of our heritage is vital for the stability of Belgravia. Now, regarding your relationship with Edward, I need to be assured that it won't compromise the duties he must fulfill as the future king."
Stacy, her tone unwavering, assured the king, "Your Majesty, Edward and I are aware of the responsibilities that come with our positions. We will balance our personal connection with the demands of our roles. I am committed to supporting him in every way possible."
King George, satisfied with her responses, leaned forward. "Stacy, the future of our kingdom depends on the strength of our royal family. I need you to be unwavering in your dedication, resilient in the face of challenges, and a pillar of support for Edward. Can I trust you with these responsibilities?"
Stacy, feeling the weight of the moment, responded with determination, "Your Majesty, you have my word. I am here to serve Belgravia, to honor its traditions, and to stand by Edward as we navigate the responsibilities that come with our roles."
King George, however, cut through her reassurances. "Stacy, there's no need to pretend. I have eyes and ears everywhere in this palace. Your recent disinterest in your royal studies has not gone unnoticed."
Stacy, taken aback, responded, "Your Majesty, I assure you, I am fully committed to my responsibilities. If there's been any misunderstanding, I am more than willing to rectify it. I value this role deeply."
The king, maintaining a stern expression, continued to scrutinize her. "Valuing the role is not enough, Stacy. Your actions need to reflect that commitment. The people of Belgravia expect a future Crown Princess who embraces her duties wholeheartedly."
"Your Majesty, I-"
The king, probing deeper into the issue, inquired, "Stacy, is this disinterest about your recent disagreement with Edward? Do you find yourself questioning whether you truly belong to this royal life?"
Stacy, choosing her words carefully, responded, "Your Majesty, Edward and I may have our differences, but I believe in his commitment to his role. My own struggles with the royal duties are separate from our personal disagreements. I am dedicated to adapting and fulfilling my responsibilities."
The king, gauging her response, continued, "This life is not for everyone. It requires resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. Do you truly see yourself embracing all that comes with being a part of this royal family?"
With Stacy still silent, King George, maintaining a stern demeanor, voiced his observations. "I've observed you to be rather weak, there were instances where you seem to crack under pressure. Is this how you plan to carry yourself as the future queen—succumbing to moments of whining and complaining?"
Stacy, feeling the weight of his reprimand, replied earnestly, "Your Majesty, I assure you that I am committed to learning and adapting to the challenges that come with this role. The recent disagreement was an isolated incident, and I am determined to face the responsibilities of being a future queen with strength and resilience."
The king, unmoved, continued to express his concerns. "A future queen must be unwavering, poised even in the face of personal disagreements. The people look up to their leaders for stability. Can you truly embody that, Stacy?"
The king's words somehow stirred a flurry of emotions inside Stacy. His imposing figure and his piercing gaze seemingly added to the pressure she felt. King George stood up and gently squeezed her shoulder. "Think about it will you? Its not too late to turn back yet."
Stacy sighs, "I would keep your advice to heart, Your Majesty."
The king, choosing his words carefully, subtly planted seeds of doubt in Stacy's mind. "I simply care about you, mignonette. Stacy, the role of a future queen demands more than just words and commitments. It requires an unwavering strength and resilience. I can't help but wonder if you possess the qualities essential for the demanding path that lies ahead."
Stacy, feeling the weight of his disapproval, attempted to reassure him. "Your Majesty, I am fully committed to fulfilling my duties as the future queen. I understand the responsibilities that come with the role and am prepared to face any challenges. Now if you may excuse me, I'd better be going."
"You may." The king tells her. "Time will tell, Miss De Novo. Make sure you choose carefully, as the crown has burdens that one weak soul could crumble under immense pressure."
As Stacy left the king's office, she couldn't shake off the lingering doubt that the king had skillfully sown in her thoughts. The uncertainty of his approval added another layer of complexity to the challenges she faced on her journey to becoming a future queen.
The grand hall of the palace, adorned with opulent furnishings and draped in the richness of Belgravia's history, set the stage for the official royal photographs. The air was charged with an undeniable tension as Edward and Stacy, the royal couple at the center of attention, prepared to capture the essence of their union.
The photographer, with a keen eye for perfection, directed Edward and Stacy into various poses that showcased the regality and unity expected of a royal couple. However, the undercurrents of their recent conflict lingered, casting a shadow over the otherwise picturesque setting.
"Closer, please," the photographer requested, urging the couple to bridge the emotional gap that seemed to widen with each passing moment. Edward, trying to maintain a semblance of normalcy, gently placed his hand on Stacy's shoulder, a gesture meant to symbolize unity.
Stacy, however, subtly removed Edward's hand, a silent statement of the lingering discord between them. The tension was palpable, and even the polished surroundings couldn't conceal the rift that had emerged. Confusion could be seen in his gaze yet he did not utter a word.
Amelie, positioned nearby as the ever-watchful attache, keenly observed the interaction between Edward and Stacy. Her discerning eyes caught the unspoken communication, and a furrow of concern creased her brow. The palace staff, adept at maintaining decorum in the public eye, discreetly exchanged glances as they sensed the unexpected strain within the royal couple.
The camera clicked, freezing a moment in time that reflected not only the regal facade but also the subtle fractures within the façade of unity. The official photographs, intended to immortalize a harmonious royal partnership, inadvertently captured the complexities of love and duty.
As the session concluded, Amelie approached Stacy with a gentle inquiry. "Is everything alright, Stacy?"
Stacy, offering a forced smile, replied, "Just a bit tired, Amelie. Its nothing serious,"
Edward, feeling the weight of the unspoken tension, couldn't let Stacy slip away without an explanation. As the camera equipment was being packed away, he discreetly excused himself, determined to catch up with Stacy and address the underlying issues.
In the palace corridors adorned with portraits of ancestors, Edward quickened his pace, spotting Stacy in the distance. "Stacy, wait," he called, his voice echoing through the grandeur of the halls.
Her steps slowed down but didn't turn around, maintaining a measured distance. Edward caught up, his concern evident in his eyes. "Is something bothering you? We need to talk about what happened."
Stacy turned to face him, her expression a mix of conflicted emotions. "Edward, this isn't the time or place. We have responsibilities, and we can't let personal matters interfere with our public image."
Edward, frustrated by the barriers between them, pleaded, "Stacy, we can't keep avoiding these conversations. Whatever happened between us, we need to address it. If this is about what happened two days ago, I do apologize for raising my voice and making you cry."
"I know, Edward. But right now, we have to focus on our roles. We can discuss this later, in private." Stacy tells him. "If you may excuse me, Your Highness." she curtsies before leaving.
Edward, left in the wake of Stacy's composed yet distant response, couldn't shake the unease settling in the pit of his stomach. The unusual formality in Stacy's demeanor, coupled with the unexpected curtsy, hinted at a depth of discomfort that transcended the public eye. As Stacy gracefully excused herself, her words carried a weight that left Edward pondering the intricacies of their roles and the challenges that accompanied them.
The palace walls, typically impervious to the gossip and whispers of the outside world, couldn't shield Edward and Stacy from the relentless scrutiny of the press. Rumors began to circulate, fueled by sensational headlines and speculative articles that hinted at a growing distance between the royal couple.
Tabloids, ever eager to craft a narrative that would capture public attention, insinuated that a mysterious third party had entered the scene, attributing the alleged rift to Prince Edward's supposed infidelity. The headlines screamed in bold letters, painting a picture of betrayal and scandal that quickly gained traction among the public.
The palace, aware of the potential damage such rumors could inflict on the reputation of the royal couple and the monarchy itself, issued a statement denying the unfounded claims. However, the press, relentless in their pursuit of sensationalism, continued to fan the flames of speculation.
Stacy and Edward, grappling with the sudden storm of rumors surrounding their relationship, found themselves at the center of a media frenzy. The disheartening headlines and intrusive questions from journalists only intensified the strain within the royal couple, exacerbating the very issues they sought to keep private.
Amid the whirlwind of speculation, Stacy retreated into a cocoon of introspection, contemplating the choices that had led to this tumultuous point in her life. Edward, burdened by the weight of public judgment, struggled to maintain composure while navigating the complex intricacies of both love and duty.
The palace staff, ever vigilant in protecting the image of the royal family, worked tirelessly to quell the rumors. However, the press, relentless in their pursuit of a scandalous narrative, continued to paint a distorted picture of the royal couple's relationship.
As the storm of speculation raged on, Edward and Stacy faced not only the external pressures of public opinion but also the internal conflicts that had driven a wedge between them. The palace, once a symbol of regality and stability, now stood at the epicenter of a tempest that threatened to unravel the carefully woven threads of the royal narrative.
Amelie, deeply concerned for Stacy's well-being, entered her chambers with a gentle knock. The room, usually adorned with regal elegance, now felt heavy with the weight of unspoken emotions. Stacy lay in bed, facing away from the world, her vulnerability exposed in the puffy and red eyes that betrayed the turmoil within.
"Stacy," Amelie's voice carried a soft touch of empathy, "you can't let the rumors dictate how you feel about yourself. People will talk, but their words don't define your worth. This isn't you, the Stacy i know doesn't get easily swayed like this."
Stacy, wrapped in the shadows of her own thoughts, remained silent. Amelie approached cautiously, mindful of the delicate emotional state her charge was in. She sat on the edge of the bed, offering a comforting presence without intruding.
"Stacy, it's crucial that you face this head-on. Hiding away won't make the rumors disappear, and it certainly won't help you or Prince Edward," Amelie continued, her tone a delicate balance between sympathy and encouragement.
A muffled sob escaped Stacy, who clutched the pillows tighter as if seeking solace within their softness. Amelie sighed, recognizing the depth of Stacy's pain. Gently placing a hand on Stacy's shoulder, she urged her to turn around and face the conversation they needed to have.
"Stacy, you're not alone in this. I understand the toll this is taking on you, but shutting yourself off won't make it any easier. We need to address the rumors, tackle them head-on, and reaffirm the truth," Amelie implored.
Stacy hesitated for a moment, then slowly turned to face Amelie. Tear-streaked eyes met Amelie's gaze, revealing the vulnerability that she had been shielding from the world. In that shared moment, Amelie saw not just a future princess burdened by rumors but a person grappling with the emotional toll of public scrutiny.
"Amelie, it feels like I'm not enough for him. The rumors make it seem like I'm just a disappointment," Stacy confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Amelie's heart sank at the raw honesty in Stacy's words. She leaned in, offering a comforting embrace, and whispered, "You are more than enough, Stacy. These rumors don't define you or your worth. We'll face this together, and we'll set the record straight."
Amelie took a deep breath, surveying the room with a stern expression as her eyes landed on the scattered tabloid articles strewn across the bed. It was a battlefield of rumors and sensationalism, each headline a dagger aimed at Stacy's heart. The attache knew that tough love might be the only way to pierce through the haze of despair that enveloped Stacy.
"Enough is enough, Stacy," Amelie declared with authority, her tone firm and unwavering. "You can't let these gossip rags control your emotions. It's time to face this head-on, and we're going to tackle it together."
Stacy looked up, her tear-streaked eyes meeting Amelie's determined gaze. The attache continued, her words cutting through the air like a rallying cry.
"You are a future princess, and future princesses don't crumble under the weight of baseless rumors. You have a duty not just to yourself but to the people who look up to you. We need to confront this narrative, expose the falsehoods, and show the world that you won't be defined by their speculative tales."
Amelie's tough exterior softened for a moment as she reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair from Stacy's face. "I know it's hard, and I know it hurts. But strength isn't about avoiding pain; it's about facing it and emerging stronger on the other side."
Stacy, still grappling with her emotions, nodded slowly. Amelie continued, "We'll devise a strategy to counter these rumors, issue a statement, and take control of the narrative. You have a voice, Stacy, and it's time to use it."
With a determined resolve, Amelie began gathering the scattered tabloids, ready to turn this battle into a war they would fight together. The journey ahead wouldn't be easy, but Amelie was determined to guide Stacy through the storm and reclaim the narrative that was rightfully hers.
Amelie noticed the continued hesitation in Stacy's eyes, and for a moment, doubt crept into her own resolve. She had aimed for tough love, an attempt to steel Stacy against the storm of rumors, but it seemed to have backfired.
"S-Stacy," Amelie stammered, the sternness in her voice giving way to a softer tone. "I...I didn't mean to make it worse. I just want to help you through this."
Stacy, wrapped in her own emotional turmoil, remained silent, her gaze fixed on the floor. Amelie felt a pang of regret for pushing too hard, for not recognizing the fragility beneath Stacy's façade of strength.
"Maybe...maybe we can approach this differently," Amelie suggested, her voice now laced with a touch of vulnerability. "You don't have to face this alone, and we can handle it in a way that feels right for you. What do you need right now, Stacy?"
Stacy hesitated, then whispered, "I just need...I need a moment to breathe. To figure out how to face all of this."
Amelie nodded understandingly. "Take the time you need, Stacy. We'll find a way through this together, at your pace. You're not alone in this, and I'm here to support you, no matter what."
With that, Amelie left the room, giving Stacy the space she needed. As the door closed behind her, Amelie couldn't shake the feeling that she had underestimated the emotional toll these rumors had taken on Stacy and that, perhaps, a gentler approach was needed to guide her through the storm.

Peter Cushings' Sherlock Holmes: The Boscombe Valley Mystery
I saw quite a few people mentioning Peter Cushings as their favorite on screen portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, so I decided to try if I could find some episodes. This BBC series was made in the '60's and only the second series actually starred Peter Cushings - the first series had Douglas Wilmer as Sherlock Holmes, but he declined to play Holmes in the second. Of the 16 episodes, sadly only 6 survive, and the Hound of Baskervilles makes up 2 of those (tapes were expensive and thus often recycled, and people at home at homes had no way to record). I'm watching The Boscombe Valley Mystery tonight.
The music theme is very intense, those strings are almost screaming. It at once gives this episode a different vibe than the homely Granada one
Full crotch shot of the son of the murdered man. It lasts four full seconds (I counted). Was that necessary? xD
Gods, I love the dressing robes of both Holmes and Watson. I have a teapot that looks almost the same as the one of their table! I took it home from the trash dump and managed to almost entirely restore it to its former glory. Not sure yet what I think about the actors' portrayal yet, but both are sure very pretty
The editing is a bit weird. Scenes jump from one to another rather abruptly
Not sure if it was just common during their time, but both actors seem so rushed to speak their lines
*another enters their train compartment* oh no, the boys are Upset
Ok, Peter Cushing is growing on me. His deduction scene in the train of Watson and of that poor other gentleman was quite funny
Some of the same shots are repeated, that feels a bit lazy
Is every girl in this episode going to cry? Repeatedly?
Holmes: "Watson What Arrrre You Doing? We have work to do!" loved that line :)
*Holmes takes off his coat* *Watson at once steps close* haha, I know it's just meant that Watson wanted to hold his coat for him but that sure looked suggestive
*Holmes shoving Watson into a tree for Investigation Purposes*
A lot of suspension in the music for a scene in which Holmes merely picking up a cigarette
*Holmes autistically rocking*
Watson: "We're going out again, Holmes? But what about dinner?" Holmes: "Dinner can wait" This is very book accurate. Poor Watson, I too get very upset when I don't get time to eat
Holmes: "Wait for me here" Watson, chugging his cider: "Willingly" Haha, love that
*Unnecessary long kissing scene*
Watson, scandalised: "Bigamy!" Holmes: "The world is not aways as you would have it, Watson" *slaps Watson's thighs* omg
It's a fine mystery story. The filming is a bit clumsy, but it feels quite authenticly victorian and Cushing portrays a dignified and clever detective with a quirk or two, and while Nigel Stock as Watson didn't have a much active role, I still enjoyed his acting. After watching the Granada series, however, this feels a bit bland for me. Decent, but nothing spectacular. I think I just miss the intensity and expressiveness and eccentric flair of Jeremy Brett, and David Burke and Edward Hardwicke also both poured so much of their heart into that series

Do wigrry and his team ALWAYS have articles ready, kissing his ass, saying what an angel boy he is, genius, polite, sweetest celeb in the world, gentleman etc...when something negative happens with the people around him? The lizzo thing has nothing to do with him but they are publicly friends. To the point that harries were crazy for them, had a ship name “hizzo” she mentioned him all the time, even in her sleep, he invited her to one of his performers I think coachella? Watch them know act like mariah carey “I don’t know her! I can’t read suddenly”
