ok... i just blocked anon at this point but heres what they said bc apparently i didn't read what i wrote myself(?!)

i would just leave it at that, but honestly? i do wanna address some things here not bc i feel the need to defend myself to anon, but bc i wanna make it clear to you ppl WHY all this stuff was written.... like im not gonna sugarcoat it, i DO enjoy writing this bc hi. huge whump lover here. making pretty people suffer is my favorite thing. but it's also so important to say that this is FICTION (this is historical rpf which is kinda funny but still, none of this actually happened). there is no real abuse going on so there is no need for any of this performative bullshit. anon is just wasting time bc it goes without saying but i would never ever condone or do this shit irl. idk how it works for other ppl but for me fiction does not affect reality, the only way it does is that it makes me happy precisely because i can do whatever i want and nobody gets hurt. and these mfs dont care, they're dead im sure they have better things to do. anyway i just wanna say:

all the details anon is giving me abt my story makes it sound like they read the whole story, both Dona Dona and the main chapters. that's almost 100k words. when they could have clicked off at any time. when the tags are so clearly right there. like... you did this for what 😭

i assume the gang rape anon is talking about is in the Tenth Hot Spring when Bentinck serviced a bunch of dudes to seal a deal for William. i would find it kind of difficult to describe it as that... but tbh, yeah, it would have been incredibly hard for him to say no. in any case, so sorry to tell you this anon but there are no perfect victims in this AU! he never sees it as rape because he thinks he deserves it, and because he does enjoy it at times. his whole image as an Ally under an Overlifer kind of relies on that. and while i'll tag it properly, i'm not going to sanitize or sugarcoat it as it's a huge part of his character arc. he doesn't think he's allowed to say no or have boundaries, so he won't! in this society i think it would be hard to find a "perfect victim." Bentinck doesn't cry about this because he thinks he's fulfilling his purpose.

i wouldn't say he enjoyed kissing William's father as a boy, he just thinks he did. obv we don't get to see much of it in Dona Dona bc it's from William's POV. but even then, as an adult, he stills sees it as an honor. AGAIN, part of his whole arc of how he views himself, the religion, and his role in it. that event is kind of the starting point of that, it was put there for a reason and not bc i actually think kids can consent/enjoy assault! in my experience, they can think they did. here again, the perfect victim narrative does not always reflect reality.

you're right, kids can't initiate that! like i said in my disclaimer, it's a result of grooming and how they've been raised. they think they are, but it's just making them easier to abuse. i never once believed they could consent.

EVERYONE victim blames Marly in this story. it's part of HIS arc. i would not blame any victim of this sort of shit irl. and even then, in this universe "slut" doesn't have such a negative connotation as in our world. yes, it is still victim blaming, but how can you read the story and still have it completely fly by your head like that

tng update time and oooooh am i ever mad about it. tonight we watched "hero worship" and "violations."

hero worship: i wanted to like this episode. but, firstly, it's just yet more evidence why children should not be on starships. this has been bothering me the entire time i've watched this fucking show. i hope there aren't any kids on voyager or whatever because this is literally fucking killing me

secondly, i felt really weird about everyone just...going along with this kid's idea that he was an android. i feel like there's a way to be lenient of his trauma without reinforcing the delusion or whatever sorry ik that's not how you're supposed to say it. it just didn't seem like solid therapeutical practice is all. i will admit there was also some secondhand embarrassment watching this kid's impersonation of data but i think it COULD have been cute (which seems to be what they were going for) with a better execution

i DEFINITELY think data's interactions with him should have been supervised too, not because i don't love and trust data wholly but because he has this way of missing certain emotional cues. and while that isn't a problem in day-to-day life, like, that's just the way he is and i resent anyone who would make him feel like it's a bad way to be/there's something wrong with him because he is PERFECT the way he is!!! for someone who is so vulnerable i think that data could accidentally do harm where it isn't intended (almost did a couple of times!), and data wouldn't be happy about that either because of course it would never be his intention. like i LOVE episodes where we just throw data into the deep end and let him figure it out, i love watching him go, but this is a child whose entire family/ship just DIED HORRIBLY who thinks he is responsible for the event. im not saying dont let data be his buddy data deserves so many buddies im just saying give data some INSTRUCTIONS at least. for both their sakes

anyway it was mid at best. it had a few good moments but ultimately not enough to salvage it for me

tasha yar and the rape gangs. the naked time: 2! where both women got turned into insatiable sex object. deanna's impromptu and nonconsensual pregnancy. tasha's impregnantion by rape and her death at the hands of her rapist. that time they filmed deanna's feet. beverly crusher for all of season 1 having absolutely no personality outside of being a mother. lwaxana troi getting gang raped by ferengi for laughs. genuinely uhura on tos in the fucking 1960s got treated better than deanna troi on tng in the 1990s. yes tos has extremely bad moments sexism wise. JUSTICE for janice fucking rand. but truly how can you be as sexist against women when they aen't there. meanwhile, tng has women in every goddamn episode and all it takes is for one bad writer to

actually you know what is so funny. gene roddenberry and two women are credited with writing this episode. ALL of them are going to hell, gene roddenberry especially. i hate hate hate HATE his rape fetish. justice for janice rand AND tasha yar AND DEANNA TROI!

the thing about this episode is, it could have been good. there were good parts about it. for example: worf's joke about being probed. they knew what they were doing and it was hilarious. deanna getting to talk about her overbearing mother. riker's little speech to deanna when she was in the coma with literal tears in his eyes and this is a WHOLE separate rant but

my problem with tng is that you don't see them care about each other. we're TOLD that they care about each other. they SAY, "oh, x is worried about [character who's in danger this week]." but we almost never SEE them act it out. every once in awhile riker gets weirdly protective of picard, and worf seems kind of protective of everyone which i like, and picard also does a good righteous rage on behalf of others, but i don't usually get to SEE it. like when wesley goes missing or whatever he and his mom don't always immediately rush into each others arms on their reunion. when deanna passes out you don't always see riker abandon what he's doing and rush to her side. nobody asks "are you okay?" with genuine concern. and even when we DO get for example geordi driving himself crazy wondering what went wrong over data's fake death we don't get any follow-through - there's no reunion between geordi and data at the end the way there would be for kirk and spock.

BUT RIKER AT THE HOSPITAL BED. ohhh i was eating. it was so good. he wasn't even saying anything of merit but just the SIGHT of her passed out like that had him almost in tears. riker, who is the epitome of good humor and dealing with space horrors with laughter. IN TEARS. it was so good. a true show instead of tell moment. and in THIS fucking episode

my issue is: they had three on screen rape scenes. the first rape scene was extremely long. like they couldn't show anything explicit because this is 90s tv but it was VERY VERY LONG so it hardly seems to matter. and THAT was bad enough. but then they made us watch it AGAIN when he planted his dad's face in the memory and A THIRD TIME when he was like "ugh she's being so sweet to me even though i raped her i can't NOT rape her again." like at least that time she was able to hit him and get away but it feels like a hollow victory when he's already gotten away with it TWICE, AND!!! when worf had to come in and save her anyway at the end.

it was doubly horrible that he got away with the crime SO WELL that nobody suspected him - like, picard is out here asking deanna to let him into her mind a second time and she GOT RAPED. A SECOND TIME. deanna is like oh yeah you can come in! and it could have been a compelling mystery and plot twist to be like OH IT'S THE DAD but really it's the son except we SAW HIM DO IT the first time. there wasn't even any mystery to solve or anyone to suspect, he wasn't misdirecting US, we just got to watch him successfully misdirect this poor stupid naive trusting WOMAN

also, the thing about deanna's attack being a rape scene while riker's was someone dying under his command and beverly's was IDing her husband's dead body is that for riker and bev these are REAL THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO THEM. deanna never got raped by riker. like, he wouldn't do that and they wouldn't still be as close and comfortable with one another if he had. (i am mad on his behalf TWICE now that they left it open whether or not he committed that particular crime when every other piece of evidence says he wouldn't. the guy is not a closet serial rapist and leaving the endings open to be edgy is extremely poor form.) like, they literally JUST made deanna's attack a rape scene to sexualize her and feed roddenberry's fetish and HE'S DEAD. HE WAS DEAD WHEN THIS AIRED. HE CAN'T JERK OFF TO IT ANYMORE

they didn't even explain why that guy kept leaving people in comas. deanna i get because he was stalking her and wanted to fuck her but why riker? why beverly? that made it MORE suspicious. why all those other people on the other planets? was he raping every single one of them? how did he plan to keep going after he'd framed his dad for his crimes?

and it COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD. beverly's thing with IDing her husband's body was fun and terrifying. deanna could have gotten a memory that spoke to character development instead of being sexualized like this. in fact i think it was lowkey a pussy move not to deal with any of riker's close encounters because of the two of them riker is the one who has actually been raped! "someone died under my command" is generic and lame. but the way the telepathy worked was cool, the plot twist could have been cool, you could have felt real betrayal from liking this dude if he hadn't been all evil smiles from the beginning. and they dropped the ball SO HARD. and i could forgive them for doing that! i have given tng so many benefits of the doubt! BUT THREE RAPE SCENES IN 45 MINUTES?

the worst part is, there was no emotional resolution. they had that guy say the word rape out loud and then the credits rolled. deanna and riker didn't speak one word to each other. she was never like, i know you didn't actually rape me like that's not what happened. no one was like, beverly go have a hot drink and call your son. there's NO EMOTIONAL FOLLOWTHROUGH ON THIS SHOW. tos was guilty of that sometimes too but this level of it is fucking unreal

tng enjoyers im sorry for my meanie posts earlier. love who you love etc etc. i'm just. baffled. HOW IS THIS BETTER THAN TOS. at least what happened to janice rand (and uhura one time) was over quickly and didn't replay three FUCKING times!!! "tos is too/more sexist" I AM TURNING MY BRAIN INSIDE OUT TO TRY AND UNDERSTAND THIS FUCKING STATEMENT

hey there, user who is accusing me of being a proshipper! i know you’re stalking my blog, so i know you’ll see this ^_^

under the cut so my beloved mutuals dont have to scroll past

okay, you took the monaca and kotoko animatic out of context. obviously theyre toxic in canon, it’s fucking danganronpa. the au is one where they’re older, and the events of drae are veeeery different. also, i only tagged it as ship because it implies kotoko has feelings for monaca… which, you know, is something that is in canon? lol

clearly you didn’t read anything besides the tags on my chatfic. at the end of the first chapter notes, i put a disclaimer about the sanniuri. basically, when i first got into sdra2, i started shipping sanniuri due to a writer i admired. i was only at about chapter two of the game when i began shipping it, so i didn’t realize it was toxic. i also began shipping irl sanniuri. since we know nothing about irl mikado, he’s basically my oc at this point. by the time i realized sanniuri was toxic, i already had a bunch of irl sanniuri hcs. and since, surprise, the way i view it isn’t toxic because irlkado is basically my oc at this point, i still ship it.

supporting ao3 doesn’t make me proship. ao3 is literally the best fanfic site, because it has a legal team, awesome tagging system, site layout, etc. i don’t think that them not taking down fics with problematic elements means i should stop using it. is there a single fanfiction website out there that manages to expunge every ounce of problematic works? no. ao3 is the best site i’ve found, because at least everything is properly tagged.

leosaya isn’t problematic. THEY WERE IN A KILLING GAME, FOR FUCK’S SAKE. CLEARLY PEOPLE’S RELATIONSHIP IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY’RE IN A FIGHT TO THE DEATH. HONESTLY.

ok quick summary of the events of the most recent hermittwt discourse. im probably done talking about it for now unless anything big happens

- past few days we'd been seeing rumblings from some hermittwt users abt how strange it is that people "sexualize" scar or ship scarian

- abt two days ago a twitter user made a thread calling the scitties joke "sexualization"

- another twitter user (twitter user B) compared scitties to homophobia in an attempt to convey how "serious of a problem" it is

- one user started going around into people's dms and telling them to unfollow mojo chojo (a artist and hermitshipper, notable for her work occasionally being suggestive; has long been despised by hermittwt)

- upon receiving lackluster responses (aka. "No") from a couple of people they dmed, this user started trying to call people out and claim they're shippers/support shippers

- at least one of the callout tweets was deleted after an attempt at genuine conversation, but the damage had been done

- people snapped. like i cannot undersell just how much so many people are sick of the weird bs said/done by some users over there. theyve spent months if not years harassing hermitshippers and continuously ignoring the mantra told us to by cleo herself (to block/filter and move on)

- many many threads and tweets started dropping, people coming out of the woodworks to publicly show support for the scitties joke and/or shipping. (generally it was the middle of the road "please we are not doing anything bad, you are not protecting the hermits, please leave us alone" take.) there were even some private displays of support, with people taking to dms to get in touch

- the overall impression I got is that "the strongly anti-hermitship views espoused by a minority of users do not reflect the feelings of all hermittwt, but due to the culture of twitter/hermittwt itself, many people dont feel comfortable speaking up at this time"

- longtime twt users have also called hermittwt out on hypocrisy, the way they make non "family friendly" jokes and then get upset when people make scitties jokes or ship hermits because shipping isnt "family friendly"

- someone told hermittwt they're just doing hermitblr 2019 all over again and linked my 2019 talks tag

- I wouldn't be surprised if we see another blowup soon-ish because I think a lot of people are at the end of their ropes

Hey, I'm Mint (Minty Frost is like, a full name), I am a minor. If you make fanart of any of my aus/ocs - please tag me, I will be very happy!

I am nonbinary, I use They/It pronouns, but She or He is okay if you are new to this, or if you are speaking in a heavily gendered language. I prefer neutral terms, but you can use masculine ones when it's funny. Though, please don't fluctuate between my pronouns too much, I confuses my brain (one pronoun set per few sentences is preferred). Also I'm bi so I draw all flavors of hot people.

Basic DNI criteria; Any type of lgbtq+ phobes, racists, pedos/maps/proshippers, zoophiles, ableists, TERFs, bigots, etc etc, If you think doxxing people is a good response to drama. If you support any of the people who fit the criteria above. If you are a NSFW or a kink blog. DDLG also falls under that. If you think/use "Queer" as a slur. Warnings:

Comparing my characters/works to the characters/works of Viv/ziePo/p will get you blocked. Temporarily, but I have bad memory, so might be forever.

I am bad at tagging warnings. I'll tag any warnings as "cw blank" and add "tw blank" for posts with common triggers. I tend to use "blank mention" in situations where it's not just mentioned briefly, so you're better off blocking a few if you really don't want to see something.

I don't ID my art, though I will ID something if you request me to. I will use tone indicators if I am talking to someone who requests their usage, or I feel like my tone is confusing (Though usually in tags)

I have difficulties fluxuating between multiple sets of pronouns, but I'll try my best.

I tend to not reblog ot talk about any heavy current events, but not because I underestimate them, I just don't like thinking about bad things. Sorry.

I'm not going to unblock this person so they can see. I'm sure one of their pals is watching my account still. Getting ready to SS and put it on Twitter or something. (Hey! Hi how are you btw? Still being petty and snooping? Wonderful).

Anyway, yall seem to be pressed about me informing my side of the Fandom about this voting thing. So here we go.

1. The MOST IMPORTANT. I pay for these overlays. The acotar ones are sitting pretty in my copy. My acomaf ones I ordered the day it went live. In the future I will be purchasing the acowar ones, the acofas, and the acosf ones. With that being said, as a purchasing customer, if the company is having a vote on which artwork to showcase in the set, I have every right to put a fierce say in what is done. I'd rather not pay around $40 for an E/riel scene. I don't ship it. I don't wanna see it in art form. I'd like to point out that in the event it was going to be added it wouldn't sway my decision in purchasing the overlays. I still would.

2. Had it been voted and done. You guys would have been harassing us because it's canon now. And that we lost (even though this is false and elucien was in a overlay print for acomaf first). As always you would have been unnecessary about it.

3. I meant what I said. I don't want anymore drama. Look who's causing the uproar about this? You guys are. You are furthering my point. You blow everything. EVERYTHING OUT PROPORTION. My six year old acts better than this.

4. You do realize. Instead of being pissy you could have made a post similar to mine encouraging E/riels to vote for the scene? But I guess its easier to throw a tantrum over a post instead.

5. There are a lot of people reading these books and not caring about ships and ship wars. They dont care of the endgames. They vote too. Just food for thought. Im sure on facebook in multiple groups people shared the voting as well. Maybe not for the same reason i did. Maybe to defend your sinking ship. Regardless What's done is done. The vote is over.

6. It's very easy to scroll. I tagged it appropriately. I only made it where my targeted audience could see. I used an Anti E/riel tag. I made it like to keep the peace. So you guys can do whatever it is you do on your side of the fandom. Instead you guys sit there following accounts and tags that you know are not good for your ship. And then blast it when you find a post to attack. I guess points for blocking out names but still.

Why can't you guys just chill? Why can't you guys just love and support your ship. Stay on your side of the fandom. Stop looking for things that's problematic for your ship.

Yall are in a uproar about this when you could be voting for the scene where Feyre and Az save Elain. Like ???
