my step-dad is in the hospital rn, and there's a very real chance he might pass away eventually. i'm very conflicted about it bc we never had a very good relationship at all. but he's also the primary carer for my mom who is disabled, so i've been a little extra busy with helping her out while he's been in the hospital — along with starting a new job and general financial trouble all around

aria is the resident librarian and book nerd. she knows a little bit about a lot of topics, and she's always super eager to share knowledge and LEARN she's very kind and friendly and often yaps a lot in a very soft voice, and yes she will be your muse's older sister figure who also kind of has her head in the clouds a lot ty

she's also very passionate about teaching!! and like she's been the librarian for over 10 years now so if your muse has learned how to read at all CHANCES ARE your muse has taken at least one class with either her or her mother tbh

has more experience with loss and grief than she'd like to admit: when she was a kid her grandmother followed a vision into the lake and never returned, and her father died not long after of a sudden heart attack.

her mother's health has always been inexplicably bad - she was only a librarian for like 20 years before her vision gave out, and nowadays she is mostly permanently bedridden. her mind is still sharp though, and she's still the best storyteller in town!

aria has a younger sister and they were pretty close growing up but they dealt with the family hardships in very different ways and it became very clear that they would grow up to be very different people. the wanted ad is coming SOON btw if you have a friend who wants to join the rp but doesn't have a character set in mind yet,,,,,,,,,,,,, hmu

SO ABOUT HER VISIONS much like her grandma, aria sometimes sees a bright light that calls out to her - it started when she was very young and she feels connected to it when she sings. in very emotional/stressful situations, that bright light reveals itself to be a vision of herself, but in a different form; almost as if there is a tear in the physical space before her, and behind the opening is a different world in which she is brave and free. as a kid she named the person in the vision narae (korean given name that means "wings") because, well, she had wings! and white hair! and a bow and arrow! yes, you're thinking of invu era taeyeon.

no one else can see narae so of course very few people actually believe her, and over the years she's kind of given up on telling people about it. narae is special to her and she'd rather be alone in the woods than spending time in town with people who don't believe her lkdjaf

she still sings constantly though! she loves wandering into the woods and calling out to narae through her singing, and also like. just because. she also sings to herself while reading, writing, doing chores, or basically anything else other than teaching.

oh yeah she's 32 going on 33 her bday is very soon please gift her cute notebooks and flowers thanks :3

she let a local kid cut her bangs and she regrets it deeply but she'll pretend like she loves it a lot in public

hey guys gays and theys, i’m here to write out some thoughts and ideas of what yena is up to during q2 and any potential plots that might come from that. as always, feel free to like this post, slide into my ims or hmu on d*sc*rd: dilemma dilemma#5703 . i’ll see if in the next few days i will post either a open starter or a starter call (or maybe both) but for now, this is it, i’ll love to hear from you all!

THE CALYPSO GIRLS!!! THEY’RE THRIVING!!!!

but also yena is absolutely busier than ever, dimensions throwing a bunch of very sudden schedules onto calypso’s shoulders and in the meantime her solo schedules keep coming in as well (the latter i have yet to completely confirm through claims but imagine its a lot of acting/modelling work) 

so she’s very very busy and honestly her enthusiasm about being relevant only gets her so far? so i can imagine she has some moments where she just,,, crashes, tired, overwhelmed, running from one place to the other. she could definitely use some tips from people that are used to having busy careers on how to manage this

on a more angstier note she probably ends up blowing off plans at the last minute/showing up late/forgetting plans entirely. any muses are valid to call her out on it because damn no need to ghost ppl now ur finally relevant miss nam

dimensions artists will see her a lot around the hq, working on their new album and stuff, something yena will never shut up about, rollin doing so well on the charts is one thing but actually getting a new album while dimensions told them they’d have none of that coming their way is Extra special to yena 

there is some more surveillance on yena from the company than their usually is so it’s a bit harder for her to get up to the nonsense she usually does. come catch her out on a very stressed smoke break or let yena use your muse as an excuse to stray from management’s watching eye for a second, she needs it

there is also a bigger pressure on calypso than ever and honestly, it kind of freaks yena out as the quote unquote ‘least talented’ member of calypso (by her own judgement), for someone that’s so used to cutting corners she’s very very anxious about her performance all of a sudden, someone try to help her manage these worries? or offer her some extra help with her vocals/dancing/rapping

for quantum members of course there is the song swap thing, yena will be very giddy teaching the rollin choreo, it’s something she’s very proud and enthusiastic about but she will def be a bit of a tough teacher in the way that she will tolerate none of that ‘boygroup-ifying’ of the choreo. they better be prepared to pour their whole quantussy into the performance.

also she’s very excited to do chained up, i can imagine like, calypso in suits, pretty chokers, looking hot af (beth bestie pls just call me out if im Wrong) but yeah she’s excited for that one, both to learn it and to show off her peak sexi vibes

i think this is most of my thoughts? ofc there is the standard stuff, rollin’ repromotions span the first 2 weeks of april still and chi mat baram will be in june so anyone who promotes around these times will see a lot of yena too

one could say that roxy had lived an easy life, though her parents weren’t distinguished by their social status, it didn’t mean they lacked money which was enough to support their daughter in whatever she wanted to do.

truth to be told, roxy was indeed a little spoiled, the type of kids who would try all kind of things on the expenses of their parents only to quit a new ‘hobby’ again. she could barely stick to anything. she was some twisted kind of golden child, good at many things but never had the patience to continue something for long enough to cultivate it. 

skipping over the part where she almost tried everything from arts, music etc. she finally found her passion ( and even roxy herself was surprised ). figure skating. she didn’t know what drew her in, she couldn’t explain it, she tried it and it felt right. roxy always describes the feeling as finding a soulmate if she feels extra dramatic that day. 

unsurprisingly, she was good at it. not that kind of good at something she was at all the other things she tried before, but that being good at which stemmed from genuine interest. maybe, that is why she managed to get so far. and it didn’t take too long that people even started to call her a figure skating prodigy. 

at this point at her life, she had it all, spinning the stars on her fingertips ( or warning bad pun ahead: spinning on the ice ). until, well, her parents company was in some crisis and they had to cut corners in the meantime. also oh so ‘conveniently’ roxy lived at the arse end of nowhere and getting to her practices was now even more difficult because as mentioned before they had to save their money for more necessary things. of course, there were more things , small and big, which totally threw her off ( which i am too lazy to list rn).

roxy tried to work part time, but a) the money wasn’t enough b) she didn’t want to cut more hours of training she managed to get. AND well, here comes the turning point and roxy thinking she was oh-so-smart without realizing that it would cost her career. oh-so-smart roxy came up with the idea to , well, just steal some stuff. after all, she trained with many other wealthy peers and she could just sell off their stuff or something. 

at the beginning she only did it to afford certain things she needed, but soon it somehow became an addiction. she felt in control when everyone else in her life was an utter mess. however, the more she took things away from others the more she felt comfortable, doing it more often and sometimes taking things which weren’t even worth that much. it was only a matter of time until she was caught. and as if she was lucky for too long, the person who caught her pressured her into either giving them a hefty sum of money (which she didn’t have) or to quit figure skating. she decided for the latter.

well, here she was and her sudden departure was quite a shock. but she had no choice and stated it was for personal reasons. 

skipping over her being devastated over it, etc. her parents managed to save their company (whatever this company is) but at this point it was already too late and roxy was accepted into holloway. 

right now she actually wants to pick up her figure skating career again, however, she’s too afraid that the blackmailer is going to expose her and also she doesn’t really know who they are (lets pretend they wrote her letters, txt messages >??) and also she’s kind of afraid due to the lack of practice she had .

personality.

okay i’ll keep this short bcs i wrote way too much for her background story. but to sum it up, roxy kind of has that perfect girl facade.  considering how many friends roxy has and how social she appears to be it is odd that no one seems to be able to describe her.  roxy doesn’t want people to know who she truly is, and she keeps her distance as she actively avoids conflicts that might cause her to say something wrong and exposes herself. 

she shields her feelings by only presenting polished version of herself, the facade of the perfect girl: kind, hard-working and polite. someone whose life is easy and someone who looks like she doesn’t have any worries. it doesn’t mean she isn’t anything of that, but it’s not as if her kindness has no bounds or that she doesn’t need to put effort into the things she does. nevertheless, she believes that she must be perfect in order to make people like her. and while, she is pretty good at masking her emotions and smile along, as soon as someone threatens to see past the illusion, she will become defensive and won’t hesitate to lie in order to preserve it.

plots.

best friends: although roxy pretty much keeps her distance from everyone else, this person had always stood by her side. maybe they knew about roxy’s sudden wannabe-thief phase ( which she is still in ) and well tried to talk her out of it ( which obviously didn’t work ). also adding some drama here and maybe they had a big argument over it and distanced from each othr because of it. however, my angst ass doesn’t want to ruin it and they’ll rekindle their friendship. they might meet again at holloway and it’s awkward at first, maybe they even have some arguments but they’ll get over it because everyone loves a good rekindled friendship story.

annoyance: someone who gets under roxy’s skin.seeing past the perfect girl face and constantly calling her out on it. maybe they just have fun annoying her and want to see what she really likes or they just don’t like roxy , thinking that beneath all of this act, she is a really unpleasant person. perhaps, they’re even doing it with good intentions and want to show her that she doesn’t need to hide who she is. whatever it is, they’re determined to expose to the world who she really is. 

pen pal ??:  muse a and roxy had been friends for a very long time, yet the funny thing is that they’ve never met each other nor do they know what the other look like. all they know is their name ( or maybe they only know each other by their usernames ) and their deepest secrets. maybe they already have crossed paths many times and perhaps even know each other but don’t like each other irl. or they never had noticed the other.

blackmailer: BECAUSE WHY NOT??? the person who forced roxy to give up on figure skating. maybe, they were a rival or just didn’t like her, or any other reason. they might as well, have noticed that roxy is secretly training again and might be back at their shit again. 

exes: GIVE ME THE ANGST, maybe muse a and roxy used to be in a serious relationship and as naive they were back then both of them thought this love would last forever. however, at some point roxy started to distance herself from muse a, constantly cancelling their dates because of their busy schedule. at first muse a tried to be understanding towards her, but as time passed things only got worse. roxy hating any kind of conflict just decided to ignore the problem instead about talking about it and eventually stopped replying to muse a messages. muse a never really got to know the real reason behind their break up and was left with unanswered questions. but anything works  

unrequited love: (this is just me throwing in my favourite way to make myself suffer) It doesn’t matter who is the one with the the one sided love because i just want some good angst.a)  muse a has a crush on roxy, yet they never told her about it. yet, muse a can’t hide it and it doesn’t take too long until roxy notices it. but instead of trying to talk to muse a about it, roxy just ignores it acting as she usually does and perhaps even give them false hope that she might like them back. maybe muse a even confessed to her and because roxy didn’t want to hurt them she told muse a she’d think about it.

b) roxy has a crush on muse a but doesn’t admit it. she doesn’t want to show their vunerable side and just plays it down. maybe they’re friends and roxy doesn’t want to lose another friend. but one day she confesses to muse a on accident, making everything awkward between them.

alright so i’ll just drop some bullet points here that’ll tell u all about jay !

( tw : mention of suicide , drugs )

his father is one of the most well-known boxers around , but not for anything great : he was a major heavyweight champ in his early days but shortly after jayden was born his mother committed suicide after a really difficult struggle with postpartum depression , which was not aided by her concern for her husband’s dangerous and demanding career — after that , everything sorta went downhill for jay’s father .

he was caught in one of the biggest drug busts in new york history and went to prison , leaving 10 year old jay in the hands of his paternal grandparents in the hamptons , who already were more like parents to him than his father would ever be .

his grandfather was a big time boxer in his day ( then worked as a mentor to some other big names until his retirement ) , and his son’s troubles disappointed him because he wanted the vincent legacy to live on , so he started mentoring jayden to reclaim the family name in the boxing world .

for a while things went well and jay was into the whole boxing thing , but his grandfather began to put more and more pressure on him as he grew older , along with everyone else around him — he was the star of bhs’ wrestling team and everyone envisioned him up on the big stage , giving creed a run for his money — but jayden couldn’t see it . he really wasn’t that into boxing . sure it gave him an excuse to punch shit and get his anger out , but that only goes so far until you begin to question the true meaning behind what you’re doing .

for jay , the only meaning he could see in pursuing a boxing career was to reclaim the vincent name that his father had tarnished all those years ago , as his grandfather wanted him to , but that moment of glory wasn’t enough to outweigh the lack of passion jay felt underneath every punch — not to mention how much he feared following in his father’s footsteps . he also wasn’t sure he wanted to give his father the satisfaction of reclaiming their throne .

so what was he going to do ? well , where his passion lacked in boxing , it absolutely thrived in dance . his grandmother founded a major dance studio in the hamptons and jay spent many evenings there while growing up . at first he just did homework in his grandmother’s office , but then he started snooping on classes out of boredom before he befriended one of the male teachers who convinced him to try out a class . and from there it kinda snowballed . his teacher turned into more of a mentor than his grandfather would ever be , and jay felt more excitement leading up to his dance classes than his boxing lessons .

his grandfather at first saw dance as a good way for jay to keep up his stamina and exercise in different ways , but then he started to notice the imbalance between his grandson’s passion for dance and for boxing and he grew frustrated . “ dancing’s not for vincent men , " he once told jay . “ grow some balls and throw some punches . ”

out of pure fear of his grandfather and disappointing him , jay continued to pursue his grandfather’s dreams for him and trained almost every day , but then he’d sneak away to late night dance sessions because he just couldn’t avoid how magnetized he was to a life of dance . the creativity , excitement , and pure fun held more meaning than boxing ever would for him , but it took him until high school graduation to properly admit that to himself .

his grandmother , the wonderful spitfire of a woman she is , sneakily led jay through the application process of every major dance academy across the states , even though her husband found no use in sending their future heavyweight champion grandson off to college . she’s always supported jay for every decision he’s made and wanted nothing but the best for him , whether it was boxing or dance or something completely different . she’s the source of all of his confidence , ambition , and determination .

it wasn’t until the acceptance letter came in the mail from pace university that jayden came clean to his grandfather . it was a messy , loud , stressful , emotional night , but his grandfather eventually realized there was no use in arguing or fighting — he raised jay to be strong , independent , and everything he wished his son had been , and he knew that when jay set his sights on something , he was going to do it no matter what .

WHEW ok now we come to the present : jay has been excelling in pace’s commercial dance program , his passion for dance blazing brighter than ever before , and he’s returned home to the hamptons every summer to visit his beloved grandparents . with his senior year coming up , he has already lined up several auditions for world tours and music videos and more to set his dance career in motion . he’s honestly looking forward to seeing his old bhs alumni over the summer and rubbing their noses in the success of his own future that he is writing .

as for a lil about his personality :

he’s well known as the vainglorious , aka excessively proud of oneself or one's achievements ; overly vain .

not to say he’s a bit of a dick but ... he’s a dick . 

as much as he hates to admit it , he definitely inherited his father’s hotheadedness and his utter selfishness .

he has always been the kid who doesn’t just think he’s the shit , but is the shit . he’s cocky in an annoyingly charming way and flirted his way up every social ladder during high school .

being the star of the wrestling team also didn’t help to deflate his ego sdljkhf like he didn’t love boxing or wrestling , but he knew he was damn good at it and just likes being the best .

as for some positives about my boy !! he is a charmer and he’s always loved to have fun . he spent so much of his childhood and teen years training and working hard that when he gets free time , whew he revels in it .

working hard is in his blood and he just oozes determination and will be your biggest hype man because he’s a dick but he still wants to see everyone succeed ! he knows what it feels like to be passionate about something and wanting to chase your dreams , and he will help you chase those dreams !!!

a big ol’ flirt , but he’s not really a player . he’s never been one to sleep around or act like breaking hearts is a sport . he grew up really admiring his grandparents’ marriage , all while remembering the poor relationship he knows his parents had , and definitely is a bit of a romantic . but that’s not to say he isn’t down to have some fun either lol

vivian  anders  was  born  to  peter  and  celeste  anders  in  a  year  where  their  business  had  just  taken  off,  and  the  revenue  grew  as she  did.  the  first  few  years  of  her  life  were  cautious,  not  that  she could  remember  them  anyway,  her parents  refused  to  be  frivolous.  however,  as  their  influence  grew and  their  finances  flourished  they found  themselves  more  grounded  in  the  life  they  had  always  wanted.  this  was  particularly  true  of  celeste,  who  saw  her  growing  baby  girl  as  the  opportunity  to  live  out  the  dreams  she  couldn’t  in  her  youth.

( also witch aesthetics ) stance on the new cabins : for  the  new  cabins . reason for their stance :  she likes to be part of at least ‘something’ . while she greatly enjoyed the time at the hermes cabins, she still felt out of place and as if she was forced to just accept things as they were. their opinion on lyssa pentelute :  she tries to understand her. giving her the benefit of the doubt that she’d give anyone else, as well. and some part of her does emphasize with her, understanding where she’s coming from. and the more she thinks about it, the more difficult it is to suppress some unresolved emotions she had always and would always try to ignore. however, the instances of bitterness she’d feel can barely be compared to lyssa’s. and in the end of the day, she’s glad that she finally has a place she belongs to.

BEYOND THE SURFACE

her dad was a pyrotechnician in his spare time, he’d be in charge of the town’s fireworks for the forth and other events, and she’d always tag along with him. she was close af with him, and it bridged the gap for how distant she felt from her mom. 

that being said, her dad fell ill to lung cancer he refused to tell anyone outside of holly, because he didn’t wanna go through the treatments, and her being only twelve, she didn’t really know the reality of him allowing it to go into stage four. 

her mom found out after his funeral from an argument between her and holly that she’d known about his cancer, and her mom never really forgave her for it.

but as far as holly was concerned she felt like her mom was just looking for a reason to keep her distance anyway. 

her mom met a guy online six months after her dad’s passing, and before she knew it they were moving to silver lake for him, and she was stubborn because she didn’t wanna leave the place her dad was buried. 

from then on out she had a rocky tumultuous relationship with her mom and her stepdad. 

when she was acting out in high school, eventually her mom tossed her to the streets and told her that she wasn’t going to put up with her or her antics any longer, and holly couch surfed at friends houses in the meantime. 

she has a difficult time of feeling like she doesn’t really belong anywhere, and really buys into escapes from reality because it’s easier for her to cope. 

flighty with the exception of a few people. after losing her dad, she really doesn’t let herself get close to people in a way that’s truly unguarded.

I’m well aware that I’ve been way less active this week then I ever have been before, and I really am sorry for that! IRL has just been kicking my butt and I haven’t had much free time to spare. aight let’s get this show on the road. hey, i’m amy ! i play teddy, who is an actual nightmare person with lil to no conscience, and he’s definitely like...a messy dramatic bitch. if you want to plot, feel free to hmu ! i’m seriously down for anything, so don’t be afraid to go nuts.

( josh hutcherson, 24, cismale, he/him ) Did anyone else just see THEODORE ‘TEDDY’ COHEN ? I hear for the FAUST family they can be a bit CRASS  &  IRASCIBLE. But I also heard they can be CANDID & ARTICULATE. if you dare I hear they frequent THE DEN in their spare time when they aren’t being an UNDERBOSS. tread carefully or else you might be next on their list ! you may want to keep an eye on that one !

teddy was born and raised in illinois, living in a very poor suburb of chicago called ford heights with his mom and older sister.

from the get go, life was not very kind to teddy. his dad left when he was two, far too young to grasp why there was a father figure missing in his life, and his mother was soon driven to alcoholism and drug use. it warped her, turned her into something more akin to a monster despite his grandparents’ plea that she wasn’t always like that. teddy doesn’t know anyone different.

his mother’s neglect soon took its toll, and it was his sister, eight years his elder, who raised him. as teddy grew up, he saw a majority of his mother’s wrath taken out on his sister, and he was usually out of the way of the path of vengeance if she had anything to do with it.

when teddy’s sister reached eighteen, she left. she couldn’t handle the responsibility of raising a child anymore, and she was missing out on her life, so she packed up, went off to college, and never came back.

in the meantime, at ten years old, teddy learned how to walk on eggshells with his mother, but almost anything would set her off. he wasn’t allowed to have friends over, he was on a strict curfew after school, and if he was ten minutes late getting back—god forbid he missed the bus—the consequences were monumental.

the older teddy got, around twelve or thirteen, the more he started to ache for the freedom he wasn’t given. his mom often had strange men making calls to the house, and he would lock himself in his bedroom and hope no one would come in.

his mom’s punishments became more and more extreme the older he got. when she wasn’t hitting him for minor accidents, she would fill the tub with water and drag him by his hair into the bathroom and shove him under for minutes at a time. the psychological trauma created a phobia of water in his mind, and it’s still one of his greatest fears as an adult. you won’t catch his ass in a kayak.

through all of this, teddy really learned to resent his sister. she never called, never checked in, and it broke his heart waiting for her day after day that eventually he just gave up hope. he hates her for it, but at the same time, he understands why she wouldn’t come back. not even teddy was worth the torment.

teddy was pretty violent at school as a result, and he was often classified as the bully. it was his only outlet to briefly escape his home life, and only his friends really knew what was going on with his mom. he did get ripped on a lot for not fighting back, but the truth is that teddy was afraid of his mom. he’d never hit her in a million years, no matter how much she deserved it, so he would just quietly take the punishment and figure out his escape plan later.

in his teens, teddy started to give up on school. he dropped out of high school at seventeen and disappeared, eventually moving into chicago and getting wrapped up in the faust family. his mom died only a few years later.

for the first time, teddy felt accepted, like he had a place where he could be with himself with people who cared about him, and he clings to that to this day. he’s fiercely loyal to the family, and he’s ruthless toward anyone who threatens that balance.

he acts with abandon, obedient as a dog when it means taking someone out. he’s been with the fausts for seven years, and he’s loved every minute of it. he’s the guy to go to for anything bloody and dangerous, and teddy has no qualms about risking his life for the family.

personality wise, teddy’s always been the type to deflect. he brushes everything under the rug with sarcasm and humor, and he’s very easygoing and too much to handle at the same time. thanks to a shitty childhood, he’s emotionally stunted both romantically and personally. he has no filter and no regrets, or at least that’s what he tells himself.

he did develop some pretty negative mental habits which come from an amalgamation of a rough past and some guilt he holds for the present. teddy has been plagued with insomnia for years, beginning after his initiation, and he’s often sporting bags under his eyes. he also treats his body like an outhouse, struggling with alcoholism and nicotine addiction. he’s also been known to indulge in some drug use.

when teddy is dealing with something, he has the tendency to disappear. this could be for a few hours or a few days, depending on the severity of his mental state. whenever he comes back to the house, he’s cool, collected, and prepared for the next breakdown whenever it comes.

despite his exterior, teddy is inwardly a very emotional person. it’s why he’d do anything for the fausts, but he bottles up everything until it explodes. he doesn’t make himself appear weak to anyone, so the likelihood of another character experiencing this sort of outburst is slim to none.

all in all, he’s decently likable. he’ll do anything to get under your skin, and he’s got a few unhealthy coping mechanisms, but at the end of the day he’s a faust. and he’ll die a faust.

btw he’s only recently been promoted to underboss after the death of jaxon faust, so...don’t expect too much professionalism from him.
