i rlly gotta do a write up eventually about how alec wanted talis to be like him so bad and she absolutely refused to while mateo just wanted his father to pay some semblance of attention to him.

#oc: talis ryder #oc: mateo ryder #oc #original character #talis was the golden child ryder #biotics popped up early #academically gifted #incredibly talented #had a mind for science and analysis but ofc alec thought the alliance was the only path for both his kids #and i mean #he thought he was sitting on the next shepard #and was thoroughly upset when talis not only refused #but doubled down n went to school for biology #plus she argued with him nonstop #hed say one thing #shed disagree for the hell of it #she loved ellen more than anything bc she was always there for both twins #whereas mateo’s skills didnt quite line up to be much else than a hobby man #sure he loved space as much as alec did #but alec didnt see himself in mateo like he did talis #and while mateo was a lot quieter about his disdain for alec’s absence in their childhood #his resentment eventually got to be too much and alec wrote him off #inadvertently becoming pathfinder meant talis is now constantly trying to fill alec’s shoes #and mateo doesnt like it

WOW! We can now really add "Playwright" to his list of credits and accomplishments. He did write, and have staged, a play called "The Boy in the Bed" when he was just 17. But he's officially a playwright now.

can we talk about walker’s ability to act with his eyes…they’re so expressive in every scene and perfectly capture the anger, fear, and despair percy feels throughout tlt, but most importantly they exude love and longing in a way that’s practically tangible when looking at sally, grover, and especially annabeth in some of the finale scenes…rent was DUE

it's SO funny that when asked what he had to do to prepare for his role in IWTV Sam Reid says he had to learn how to play the piano, learn to speak French, Italian, and English with a French accent.
